The last grain of sand dropped in the hourglass. With a cry of joy, the trickster prince vanished in a puff of green smoke, no doubt off to cause more mischief elsewhere.

He had completed his punishment dutifully, as befitted a son of Odin, writing lines for the assigned time. Unfortunately, teacher Bragi had severely underestimated the prince's writing speed. Now not only the blackboard was covered with neatly drawn runes, but so were the walls, floor and tables, out into the corridor, the great hall and even half the throne room:

The delegation from Alfheim would not be amused. But that was Bragi's problem.
