A Stultus Pulchram Story

Chapter 6

How Not to be Seen

It has already been mentioned that Takamichi and Gandolfini were called early as the crisis began to unfold. It has also been mentioned that both said they would call the other teachers.

It has not been mentioned though, as to who called Sister Shakti to alert her. But it is known that she reacted to this news as she reacted to the news of the initial breakout.

As such, chaos, panic, and disorder filled the church where she, as well as every other mage nun were.

The other nuns were startled by the sudden scream of panic as Sister Shakti ran into the main vestibule. This increased to concern and worry when Sister Shakti started breaking the pews into long sections of wood. When one of the braver nuns asked her what she was doing, Sister Shakti turned and announced loudly, "The Bimbos are loose!"

Concern and worry became fear and panic then. Everyone got to work breaking up the pews so they could be nailed to the doors and windows.

There was only two hammers in the entire church, but enough of the nuns present knew where the nails were. That, and a bit of magic, worked just as easily to board the doors and windows, as quickly as the nuns could make the boards.

The only person in the entire church not panicking was Cocone. Not that she wasn't nervous, but she just wasn't the sort that would panic at the first sign of trouble.

So she was the only one level-headed enough to recognize what the others did not: that no matter how well the windows and doors were boarded up from the inside, someone could still get in from the outside. Especially since Misora knew how to sneak in and out of the church without getting caught.

So Cocone grabbed a handful of nails and put them in a pocket, before grabbing four boards just long enough to cover the width of the door at the back of the cellar. She walked out of the room slowly as the four boards were rather heavy for her.

No one noticed her departure. They were too busy working in their panicked state to notice.

It took a couple of minutes for Cocone to walk into the cellar and make her way to the door at the rear. Everyone else believed that the door was locked and disused. In reality, the door lock was broken long ago and would not lock anyone out. Once opened, there was a clear path that went through some bushes before the area opened up into the Academy.

Cocone had been worrying the entire time about the idea of everyone sealing themselves inside the church, but she also didn't have any other ideas, so she had merely gone along with the idea. She made her way to the door and set the boards down to get the nails out of her pocket.

The door opened.

"LikehiyaCocone! I'mlikeheretomakethenunsintoBimbos. I'llberightback!"

Cocone sighed and picked up the boards again before going outside. Once outside she closed the door and boarded up the door with her magic even as she heard everyone inside panic loudly.

"Well, at least they won't get out now," she thought as she ran off.

Four girls walked out of one of the dorm buildings for St. Ursula High School and headed in the direction of the Shopping District. The straightest path went through one of the many open areas that Mahora Academy has for people to enjoy. Flowers lined the sidewalks, with light poles set back from the flowerbeds for illumination after dark. Trees were also present, mostly for shady places for people to sit under for whatever reason. There were also a couple of fountains for people to sit by, or throw coins into.

Throwing coins into the fountains seemed to be popular. There was a rumor that said one of the fountains in Mahora was a Wishing Fountain. It said that if the wisher made a sincere wish, that wish would come true when a coin was throw in.

Kazumi would cover her mouth every time she heard that rumor. She needed to, mostly to stifle the giggling before it started. She could have told the person telling her that rumor that she started said rumor herself back in her final year of elementary school.

No, the previous two paragraphs are not necessary to the story. The author just thought it would be interesting to mention those tidbits before resuming. Nothing at all to do with increasing the word count of a very short chapter.

"Do you think we should eat first or shop first, Ai?" one them asked the other three as they walked abreast through the area.

"Both the restaurants and the shops close at the same time. I am not hungry at the moment, but what do you three think?" the one called Ai replied.

"I think we should eat first," the third one said.

"That's because you skipped breakfast this morning, Eri-chan," the first one teased.

"I was almost late this morning for my club meeting thanks to you Chie. Why did you turn my alarm off?" the one named Eri replied, frustration evident in her voice.

"It was an accident. I thought it was my alarm," the first girl, now identified as Chie said.

"You're being quiet again Miki," Ai said, addressing the fourth girl by name.

"I'm trying to decide still," Miki said. "I know I need ramen and other groceries, but I do not need anything else. What does everyone need to buy?"

"I need supplies for class," Chie said.

"Because you keep chewing on your pencils," Eri said.

"Hey!"

Ai sighed to herself before attempting to stop the argument before it began, "Knock it off both of you. Today has been peaceful, and I would like to keep it that way."

Off to their right, a girl that had been sitting under a tree relaxing suddenly found her whole outlook on life changed as she was struck by a pink swirl of energy before transforming into a Bimbo.

"Were you going to buy anything Ai?" Miki asked.

"Well, I need ramen also. But it is better to buy food when you are not hungry. Especially if you have a limited budget," Ai said.

"What do you need to buy Eri?" Miki asked.

"I'm running low on soy sauce, and I need to buy books. I guess I need a little of everything," Eri replied.

Another girl standing by herself off the sidewalk was struck by a pink swirl and turned into a Bimbo just as the foursome walked past her.

"It is just me, or is something strange happening?" Ai asked.

"What do you mean?" Eri asked.

"I think I just saw a girl's clothes change somehow," Ai said.

"Change how?" Chie glanced at Ai.

"Like, they became much more awesome!"

Ai, Chie and Eri turned towards Miki. All three gaped in surprise at their friend, who seconds before had been walking beside them dressed in normal clothing, now looked like something that had stepped from a lingerie shop.

"Miki?" Ai asked.

"Like yeah?" Miki replied.

"What... what..." Eri was unable to complete the question she wanted to ask, as gobsmacked as she was.

Ai finished it for her unintentionally. "What happened?"

"Like, she became a Bimbo!"

Ai's head turned so quickly an observer would have sworn the vertebra should have popped. Her head spun almost as quickly.

"Chie?" she asked her friend.

"Like yeah! Like, I'm a Bimbo too!" Chie giggled.

"Like wow! You're like, so hot in that!" Miki giggled.

"What is going on?" Eri found her voice as she glanced around. "Ai-chan, what's happening?"

By now it was obvious to the pair that something was amiss. Ai saw a pink swirl of energy hit a girl that had been running towards them, turning her into someone as scantily-clad as their two friends were currently.

"We need to run Eri!" Ai said. She turned towards her...

To see Eri looking at her while wearing her new Playboy bunny costume. "Like, I feel lots happier now!" Eri said, bouncing happily and giggling.

Ai turned to run...

Before realizing that she like, felt really happy herself.

Like, why was she worried?

She didn't know. She felt rather silly, and giggled.

"Like, let's go shopping!" she declared, pointing at the sky for emphasis.

"Like yeah!" Eri agreed.

"Like, I want some makeup!" Chie added.

"Like, wait up you three!" Miki said as she tried to catch up to the others.

Three individuals watched them go, even as they continued to fire off pink swirls at the few remaining non-Bimbos in the area.

"Like, being a ghost Bimbo makes it easy to like, make girls into Bimbos," Sayo said.

"Like, no one can see you because you're like, a ghost. I'm like, invisible thanks to this mask," Natsumi said.

"Like, I'm a Bimbo Ninja. Or am I a Ninja Bimbo?" Kaede asked.

"Well, you are like holding my hand so no one can like, see you," Natsumi said.

"Like, that's because you said it was like, cheating if I used my clones to like, make everyone into Bimbos," Kaede said.

"Like, it is cheating," Sayo nodded her agreement.

"But we could like, make everyone Bimbos faster," Kaede pouted.

"Like, they are becoming Bimbos fast enough," Natsumi said, "I think we like, have gotten everyone here now."

"Well like, let's go to the Shopping District then." Sayo suggested.

"That's like a good idea." Natsumi said.

All three headed in that direction.
