Nightwing was livid as we flew up a far mountain range that was literally blue with snow. The twips were loving the scenery, but the mere sight of the glowy snow brought a snarl to Nightwing's lips
"It was bad enough his rain poisoned the Flash. He had to make sure no other speedsters could get to him as well."
I wasn't going to say anything at this point. Nightwing had told me before that this whole thing stunk and he was in the middle of a mental battle concerning his sanity. The Flash was more than just another cape. He was everything Dick had in regards to a friend that was closer than a brother. The guy was torn between what he swore to do, and what he wanted to do in regards to handling this particular baddie. He had begged me to help him not to go too far, and I was determined to honor that.
As we approached the villain's expensive looking lair, Nightwing began briefing his twips and Changeling on how he wanted them to perform. I still was against the boys being in on the whole thing, but it was never my call to make.
"Batman, I need you with me. Whiz doesn't usually post gaurds in any methodical fashion because according to Flash, he's too much of a hothead to actually plan for anyone other than the Flash to come knocking down his gate. So look for guards in random places."
I nodded. This was going to be one heck of a fun ride. I was actually looking forward to watching Changeling in action, and the kevlared twins were going to give the baddies a good knocking, I was pretty sure.
"I suppose you are going to go straight for Kid then." I deadpanned.
Nightwing snorted "What gave that away?"

We crashed through the door only to be blinded by a spotlight. Nightwing was quick to recover and dove into the shadows above us, weaving and ducking expertly avoiding the lazers that were raining on him from below. Suddenly the attackers were mowed over by a green bull, and the rest were taken out by twin heroes who moved like one; blue, black, and white flashed with red, orange and yellow as the twips rained vigilante justice on the men, some of the guards two times their size.
Nightwing ignored most of the ones he ran into. I was surprised how well he and his sons worked. He didn't worry about the men because his boys kept pace with him and took down any that were in his way. Changeling handled everyone trying to swarm the twins and Nightwing, and I cleared what I could out of the rear. It was beautiful teamwork, and all performed wordlessly, seamlessly. Everyone knowing their parts and when to play them. All from that short briefing in the car.
"I'm going in!" Nightwing announced, "Batman, you're with me. Changeling, keep the room clear with the twins."
"You got it dude!"
I followed the vigilante into the air ducts, and he crawled through into a study and dropped right on top of our target. I watched them wrestle around, and readied a batarang.
I wasn't prepared to be forced to throw it at my ally.
