Author Note: I'm trying something new here, I've never done a story with the supernatural involved, but I think I got a good thing going here in this one, but I am always open to suggestions for continuation.

Catherine stirred awake to the sound of Gil softly snoring in her ear. She smiled, snuggling in as close as she could, wanting to stay like this for the rest of this trip. The sound of ocean waves lapping against the boat was rhythmic and relaxing. She had no concept of how much time had passed since their snorkeling adventure, but for Gil to be snuggled up with her it must mean they had anchored for the night. Catherine pulled Gil's arm closer to her chest, looking down and noticing that his hand was bandaged. Alarmed she sat up in bed, flicking on the bedroom light.
Gil squinted at the light in room sitting up, seeing the concern on Catherine's face.
"What happened?" She asked, gingerly taking his hand in her's.
"Nothing," Gil stated, pulling his hand back, but Catherine refused to let go, "I cut myself with a knife in the kitchen, nothing to worry about." He offered.
Catherine studied her husband's face. She was searching for his tell tale signs of lying, but their was nothing. She brought his hand to her lips, kissing it gingerly. "Poor baby getting all cut up," She whispered and kissed the bandage again. Gil did his best not to wince at the pressure being applied.
The thoughts of ghosts and blood disappeared from Gil's mind as her got lost in Catherine's eyes that were reading seduction. She straddled Gil as he moved his hands over the curves of her body. The burn under his bandage pulsed, but he tried to ignore it. Catherine snaked her hands through the curls on Gil's chest, tossing her head back as her blonde curls fell down her back. He grabbed her hips, pulling her close to him, feeling his erection grow beneath his boxers. She moved her hands down to the waistband of the his boxers, outlining the shape the his penis under the fabric.
Gil grabbed her breasts that were still cupped in her bikini top, massaging them between his fingers. Catherine leaned in closer, tilting her head to expose her neck for her husband to suck on like a vampire. With each new kiss she let out a small moan of pleasure. Catherine pulled her husbands boxers down his legs, exposing his erect penis to the cool air of the room as she removed her bikini bottoms, ready to ride him. She slowly lowered herself on top of him, gasping at the sensation as she bit her bottom lip with desire. Gil closed his eyes, getting lose in the rhythmic moves of Catherine's hips against him. She was beautiful, his own goddess that no matter what was sexy and beautiful. She suddenly picked up the pace, her breathing turning into panting as Gil grunted in return.
Catherine kept her eyes closed, lost in her own fantasy and the euphoric feelings that were washing over her body. Gil opened his eyes, wishing he hadn't. Catherine was no longer straddling him, it was something else. This image of long red hair and nails that resembled claws were digging into his skin. Gil cried out as he saw blood pooling from the scratch marks, catching this entities piercing green eyes and serpent-like tongue.
Soon we will be together...She hissed, showing her palm with the same crown and skull mark burned into it.
Catherine opened her eyes, feeling Gil tense beneath her as she stopped moving, seeing the fear in his eyes and the colour drained from his face.
"Gil? What's wrong?" She asked.
Gil didn't answer and instead ran his hands over his chest, looking for the deep gashes the crazed serpent woman had dug into his skin. There were no marks or no blood. Catherine slid back onto the bed beside her husband frowning.
"Was it something I did?" She asked.
Gil turned to his wife seeing the sadness in her eyes. It was then he realized his wife thought she was the reason for the sudden change in mood, which was so far from the truth. To avoid making his wife insecure about her sexual abilities, Gil knew he needed to tell her the truth about what has been going on.
"I believe you," Gil said meeting Catherine's eye, "There is something follow us, on this trip."
Catherine's eyes widened, "This is a strange time for you to be telling me this." She quipped.
"It's not as strange as you think, when we were, well just now, it wasn't you that was on top of me."
Catherine could tell her husband wasn't lying, he was visibly scared of whatever he just saw. She grabbed his hand, the one that was bandaged, running her fingers over the gauze. She was afraid to ask what he saw, hoping it was not what she thought it was going to be.
"What did you see?" She whispered, her voice so faint Gil almost didn't hear her.
"A thing with long red hair and piercing green eyes. She had nails like claws and a tongue like a snake. It was horrifying."
Catherine shook her head, "So not a little girl?"
"No, not this time." Gil stated, looking Catherine in the eye. He grabbed her right forearm, looking for the four finger bruise. It was there, faint under her sun kissed arm, but still there.
"What do you mean not this time?" Catherine asked, looking down at what her husband was inspecting, "What the fuck!" She exclaimed noticing the bruise for the first time. "Did you do this to me?" She asked, horrified.
"No! No I would never hurt you Catherine you know that," Gil replied, drawing her attention to the bruise again, "Look at it, it's too small to be mine, to be any adult."
Catherine knew exactly what Gil was getting at. She moved her legs close to her chest for protection and security. She tried to rack her brain on how that bruise could have appeared on her skin. Sometimes it could take days for bruises to appear, was it possible that Caitlin or Lindsey did that before they left without even realizing? That was what Catherine wanted to be true, but she knew that it wasn't the reality.
"Gil, I'm scared." She whispered, trying not to cry.
Gil cuddled in close to her, kissing her on the forehead, "I am too Catherine. The sooner we get to our destination the better."
"I love you,"
"I love you too Catherine,"
