Okay! Another update!
Disclaimer: I only own my idea and the storyline.
Two hours had passed and Len still staring at Mikuo who wants to meet Len's tutor, Rin. But, as the situation this morning gave him a very large damage to his pride, Len decided to abandon Mikuo's request. "Come on, Len!" Mikuo pleaded again. He has been going at it so many times now and Len already lost count on how many was it. "Give it up, Mikuo. I'm not going to follow your stupid request." Len muttered while turning his eyes somewhere else.
"Don't be so stingy, Len!" Mikuo pouted. "You already got like almost half of the school's girl and you're keeping one at home for yourself!" Mikuo added.
"Whoa! You got to be kidding me! I'm not keeping her or anything!" Len shouted at Mikuo. Of course, Len won't admit it in that way, because that wasn't how he saw it. For Len, calling Rin for something like this would mean another thing that later on could be called as a "debt" by Rin. Len didn't want that. He didn't want to have to do anything with her at all today. This morning was already more than enough.
"Then let me meet her, dammit!" Mikuo got annoyed and was about to struggle Len when Lily, Len's mom came in.
"Oh, my, such a lively atmosphere you have here." Lily said when she saw Mikuo was pulling Len's collar. "Miss Kagamine.." Mikuo immediately let go of Len's collar and went back to his seat. Lily made her way toward Len and Mikuo who was sitting on a set of sofa.
"It's almost time for dinner, do you want to join, Mikuo?" Lily asked the teal boy. Mikuo gladly accepted the offer. "Sure."
Lily smiled and then asked Mikuo to come to the dine room with Len as the guide without Len's concern. "I don't remember agreeing being his guide." Len frowned as he folded his arms. Lily immediately flicked Len's forehead. "I'm your mother, aren't I?" Lily leaned in to Len who was rubbing his forehead. "Yeah, you're and then?" Len questioned back, still rubbing his forehead while pouting. "That means my decision is absolute because I'm your parents." Lily smirked. Len pouted more. "That's lame." he said while frowning. "It's not lame!" Lily replied, pouting as well.
"This is an era where parents' decisions aren't absolute, Mom." Len replied to his mom. Lily gasped. "Oh my— I'm going to tell your fath—" Lily's sentence was cut by Len's "NO!"
"Then guide him! He is your friend, Len!" Lily pointed at Mikuo who was standing aside, watching both the son and the mother argue over something trivial. Mikuo could only smile stupidly before he tried to interrupt. "Um— excuse me.." Mikuo said to Len and Lily. Both of the blonde stopped their discussion and turned their head towards Mikuo.
"Aren't we supposed to be heading to the dine room now?" Mikuo asked.
"Oh, you're right." Lily went silent for a moment before she went to Mikuo while dragging Len by his arm. "Let's go then!" Lily chirped as she took both of the younger boys' arms and dragged them to dine room.
" Finally!" Len threw himself to one of the sofa near him as he let out a big sigh. It's a good thing that Mikuo left right after dinner and of course without meeting Len's tutor at all. Not even a glance. Even though, he already begged to Len and Len's mother. But even Len's mother didn't give him a chance to meet Rin.
Len closed his eyelids as he was really tired of Mikuo's presence earlier. Suddenly, someone was standing before Len and called out his name in a cold tone. "Son." the voice said to Len, causing Len to jolt. Len's eyes captured Lily's figure standing before him with a rather cold expression as one could say. "Whoa—" Len gasped. "You scared me, Mom! I thought you were father!" Len sighed.
Lily didn't reply to her son at all. She only kept staring at Len as her arms were folded.
Len gulped. He knew there won't be anything nice if his mom starting to act like his father. If his mom started to act like this then there was only one answer to it. She wants a serious talk. A more serious one than usual.
Len immediately sat in a proper manner as his mother sat on another sofa across him. Len couldn't start the conversation as his mother kept glaring at him and his throat was also dry. Len kept silent. Did she find out I was out last night?
Len questioned himself. As far as Len know, his mom won't set the atmosphere like this if it wasn't a serious problem and in this mansion or rather in this family, disobeying the elder's order is a serious problem.
"Len, tell me, were you sneaking out again last night?" Lily suddenly started the conversation. Len's mind and body went frozen. Crap! She did find out! Len yelled inside but staying silent on the outside.
"Len." Lily called her son's name with a heavy tone. This was creeping Len more that he started to open his mouth a little but closed it again before saying anything. Lily frowned.
"Len Kagamine, I'm asking you right now!" Lily yelled to Len. Once again, Len jolted as he found out his mother was quite pissed off by his action last night or maybe worse than that. His cold sweats were rolling down from his forehead.
"I- I guess?" Len grasped his hand together as rolled his eyes somewhere else so he won't be meeting his mother's glare. Cold sweats were still dripping.
"Where did you go to?" Lily asked again. Her eyes were still following Len's eyes even though they didn't make any eye contact. "— I went to a café to meet with Mikuo and his cousin, Miku.. or something like that." Len muttered in a low voice. Then, Len heard a 'tch' from his mother direction but he wasn't brave enough to make sure if that sound escaped from his mother's lips.
"I see…" was what Lily said before there was a silence in the air. Len became uneasy as he wished that his mother would continue the conversation instead, though he would be scolded again. Len shifted his body a little. He tried to glances his mother only to found his mother was glaring at him again. Len shivered. On the other hand, Lily gave out a sigh. This time, Lily felt that she was kind of mean to Len but she couldn't help it. If it was only Len who make the trouble and no one else in the mansion was involved that would be another story and she wouldn't make too much fuss about it of course. But this time he made Rin being dragged in the matter. Not to mention that Rin was currently ill as they were sitting in the living room and chatting. Yeah, chatting.
Lily decided to liven up the atmosphere. It's already a heavy atmosphere when she asked Len to talk as she was using her cold tone toward her own son and then there was this silence after she was done asking Len. Lily got up from her seat and went to her son that was across her then patted his head. Len was surprised as his mother's warm hand patted his head and stroked it gently.
"Uh—.." Len stared at his mother intensely.
Lily smiled a bit as she kept patting her son. "I'm sorry, Honey." Lily whispered to Len. "I was harsh with my words." Len could only keep silent.
"But, do remember to apologize to Rin-chan later, okay?" Lily asked him. Len lifted his face a little to meet his mother's eyes before he nodded in agreement.
Len sighed heavily as soon as he reached his room.
"That was intense—" was what Len said to himself as soon as his body hit the bed of his room.
It was a long time ago that he experienced the same intense atmosphere like just few minutes ago. He never thought that he would experience it again. Len hugged the nearest pillow as he curled up into a ball. He closed his eyes.
Well, sure it was him who went out yesterday. But he never asked his tutor to follow or even pick him up, right? So, basically if he were to apologize, he wouldn't. But again, if he didn't do as his mother said after he agreed then it would mean another trouble for him a head. Len frowned at the thought. Should he really apologize? Len kept thinking as he rolled in his bed back and forth until at some point his body was discarded from the bed and met the floor of his room.
"Ack!" Len yelped as the shirt he wore was so thin that his skins taste the coldness of the floor.
Len stared at the ceiling of his room as he kept thinking whether he should go and apologize or not.
After a short while Len mumbled, "Maybe I should—" followed by him clicking his tongue. Len got up and immediately went to his tutor's room, leaving the bed he just messed up.
So, um yeah— quite a long one for a short scene, huh? Haha—
If you find any mistake, please do tell me, it'll be appreciated.
