Feliciano looked around silently as he moved through the hallways, the Prince was hungry, so immediately him and Lovino were sent from the room to get him some food, being the cooks and all. Lovino raised an eyebrow, but shook his head silently as Feliciano squeaked when he nearly ran into a suit of armor. Feliciano felt on edge, like the world would collapse sooner or later. Lovino scoffed and remarked annoyed, "Feli, come-a on. We need to go to the kitchen-a.."

"R-right, Lovino.."
The Italians walked further down the hall. It took awhile but they finally made it to their destination.
"I'll go get the tomatoes, you go get some pasta noodles, okay-a?" Lovino told his twin when he was washing his hands. Feliciano nodded, 'Okay!"
The Italians got to work.
Lovino was in the garden, picking up some ripe, tasty, juicy, tomatoes. He smirked, the tomatoes were beautiful. It was all in his hard work that made these red fruits into magic. He hummed to himself, this was his happy place.
While Lovino was outside, Feliciano was getting pasta noodles to boil.
"Pasta..." Feliciano chanted in a sing-song voice. He cheerfully put a pot of water to boil. As he was pouring water in, he heard a whisper:
"Long live Ivan."
Then, with a clatter of a mixing spoon, The lovable Italian was gone.

As the twins were preparing supper, Arthur decided to leave the room for training the knights.
"Wait, Arty!-" Alfred tried to stop him. Arthur knotted his eyebrows a bit in annoyance, "Don't call me that."
Alfred ignored the look, "I'll come with!"
"... Fine.."
Alfred exited with Arthur as Matthew sighed.
Gilbert smirked, "Vhy don't ve go outside? Or, explore the castle?"
"Vhat vould be unwise, East. Besides, you have to stay here. With Matthew." Ludwig retorted.
Gilbert groaned but sat down on the bed beside Matthew.
"We'll stay, you guys won't be alone... if you know what I mean." Francis winked, "Unless..."
Gilbert blushed, "Don't zhink zhat!" He playfully threw a pillow at the Frenchman.
Matthew blushed and chuckled.

"Okay, good form, William!" Arthur swung his blade at a trainee. William defended himself with the side of sword. He stepped back and side swung. Arthur blocked and laughed.
"Go, Arty!" Alfred cried from a tree top to see the battle easier.
Arthur thrusted his blade to intend of the end of battle but Will jumped up.
The trainee put his boot on the green-eyed knight. He smirked, he leaned in and slid his blade to Arthur's chin, "I've won."
William changed slowly. His eyes turned a purple-blue, his hair turned long and platinum blonde. His tan skin turned pale, it was Natalia.

Alfred leaped from the branch and cried, "ARTHURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" he rose up his blade to strike the Belorussian girl. She stepped back, almost making Alfred slice his dear beloved one. Natalia kicked the American in the side, and picked up Arthur by the collar.
"Let's pick up where we left off, da?" Natalia lifted him higher and she rose the sword which crackled with black electricity.
'No... he can't die now... I WON'T LET HER!' Alfred leaped and shoved Natalia away. Arthur coughed as he was released, looking up and seeing Alfred, choking Natalia, he rushed forward, grabbing the other's sleeve. "A-Alfred... L-Let her go..." "But Arthur-"

"You will not become a killer on my account." he said firmly.

Lovino walked back into the room, looking questioningly around, "Feliciano?" he questioned, before pausing seeing the fallen spoon, "Oh no..." he mumbled, and bolted out of the room. Lovino's breathing became ragged, hot tears threatened to fall.

'My own brother...'
His footsteps were pounding on the marbled floor. The rhythm became distant as if trying to listen to a regular conversation when music is blaring to the max.
'I didn't...'
Lovino gritted his teeth tightly. He kept on sprinting.
'.. even get to...'
Lovino tore open doors, shouting at the top of his lungs, calling for his brother. Though he knew it was useless.
'... Save him...'
Lovino ran past a walking Knight. The knight stopped in it's tracks, watching the Italian brush past.

Natalia just glared at Alfred as he let her go. She then quickly stabbed him deeply in the side with her own iron hands.
Arthur was speechless but caught Alfred just in time.
Arthur's tears leaked, he looked up at the Belorussian. He cried out,
"YOU MONSTER! KNIGHTS! "
Natalia smirked and wiped the blood off her hands. Then knights came from the palace, their feet thumping and clanging down the polished marble steps.
Natalia slipped on her hood and hurried away from the maddening mob.
"Esterin, mah-gika, transforma.." she whispered loudly and created a look alike, her mirror image ran straight for the draw bridge while she ran to the kitchen door of the palace.

"Where'd she go?!"

"There she is!"

The mob followed the look-alike, then Natalia slinked inside. She walked calmly and once again, transformed into William.
She walked down as the setting sun leaked and spilled like a bucket of blood on a canvas of purity.
She hummed to herself, 'I love this spell i took from Arthur. Magic is simply easy and rather... fun.'
Just then, she heard shouts, then stomping.
Lovino was crying as he brushed past her.
Natalia faked her concern and asked, "Lovino!? What's wrong? Where's Feliciano?!"
Lovino stopped, he turned to look at 'William'.
"I..." He looked to his feet, then fell on his knees, "HE'S GONE!"
Natalia walked to him and said, "It's never too late..."
Lovino looked up, to see an evil grin on William's face.

"..To Join him."

Lovino backed up quickly, holding a hand to his chest, "S-Shit..." he muttered, collapsing as the Natalia hit the back of his head, knocking him out.

Arthur shook grabbing the other tightly as the nurses came. They picked Alfred up as Arthur shook, covered in his lover's blood, "Bloody hell..." he stuttered, tears falling quickly as he burrowed his face into his hands, he soundlessly stood up, following him. Arthur followed inside, Alfred groaned and tried to smile, "A-a-artie...? I-i-i'm okay, du-dude... just... a .. little blood... I'm s-s-sure..."

Arthur began, "Alfred you-!"
"Arthur, we have to treat him, I'm sorry.. You'll have to stay out.." The brunette Ajin cut him off and showed sadness.
Arthur stood in the hallway, hand still extended as if he could simply touch Alfred's head. The nurses left the British man while he fought back the tears.
'Alfred..' Arthur clenched his gloved hands into fists.
'You're not alright. I won't let them hurt you. Never again... I'll...'
Arthur turned and leaned on the Castle wall, then fell to his knees, "I'll end them."
He sobbed, "Even if that means I'll go to my grave."

Matthew heard a servant slamming the door open.

"Matthew!Your brother... he's wounded..." Matthew looked up, face immediately going pale.

He gasped for air, like all the air had left him in a moment. "N-No..." He quickly tried to get up, but in his weakened sate, he fell, getting caught by Gilbert, "H-How bad?" "Well... there is a lot of blood.. coming from his side.. I-I'm sure we can treat it!" The servant tried to reassure the Canadian. Francis and Antonio looked to the servant, silenced from the sudden bad news.

"Also.. we can't find our chefs.." The servant squeaked.
"What!?" The Frenchman, Spaniard, and Prussian cried in unison.
"Vhat? You can't find Feliciano?!" Ludwig asked, in disbelief.
" My Prince... I'm waiting for you to give me the command to send Kiku Honda to search the forest beyond the draw bridge.." The servant bowed her head for his response. Matthew stood in shock, then his eyes narrowed, a cold look accompanying it. One that the other's had not seen before on the prince's face.

He pulled himself up, leaning on Gilbert for support, "I-It was Ivan.. or at least Natalia." he confirmed, he looked to the servant, "Send Kiku to search the forest, tell him if he finds them to return to me. I'll handle it." he replied, "Tell another servant to bring my bow and arrows, and my armor..." he mumbled, obviously still weak, "Alfred is injured... I have to handle this...I will."

The servant nodded quickly, "Yes! Shall I tell your brother your absence from the crown?"
"VAIT! Matthew! You're zhe prince! You need to stay und guard zhe kingdom! I-I'm not crowned yet! Nor mein freunds! Ve Should go!" Gilbert claimed.
Francis agreed, "And, we cannot guard the kingdom, we lack the permission!"
Matthew tried to stand, he still had his cold expression, "Then I'll give you three the permission, trust, honor-!"
The servant left as Antonio cut the Canadian off, "We do not know how to run a castle, much less una de mágica! (one of magic)"

Matthew shook his head, "You come from a strange world... one that I have barely seen... You don't know how to face N-Natalia..." he mumbled, "A-Alfred... c-can handle it, once he is a-able..." he muttered.

Gilbert bit his tongue to quit from yelling, but he then cried out, "I'M SUCH A DUMMKOPF!"
Everyone turned to him, a little shocked.

"Entschuldigen Sie bitte... mein liebe.. (I'm sorry, my love) but.. you must not go... For Himmel (heaven) sakes... YOU CAN BARELY STAND! VHAT IF YOU NEVER CAME BACK?! I VOULDN'T BARE IT IF I NEVER SAW YOUR EYES, YOUR SMILE, YOUR FACE!-" He stopped when he saw Matthew just stare at him.
"I'm sorry, Gilly..." Matthew put a hand on Gilbert's shoulder.

Matthew shook his head, hugging the other lightly, "Gil..." he muttered, "I'll be fine..." he replied, giving a weak smile at him, as the servant came back, quickly dressing Matthew in his golden armor. He almost collapsed under the weight, but held strong, holding his bow tightly, letting the servant clasp the quiver of arrows on his back, "Gil... I have to do this... They hurt my brother... I can't let them g-get away with this... I promise... I'll return." he replied, giving another weak smile. Gilbert stood there, biting his lip, which he regretted. It could be the last time Gilbert would ever speak to him. The Prussian's fists began to tremble, anger and his own lamentable situation caught in his throat. He could not utter a goodbye, but he gave Matthew a nod of understatement as the Canadian left in a limping motion.

Francis and Antonio said nothing, knowing talking to Gilbert would be unwise.

The Prussian backed up to a wall, and fell to his knees. He cried out in sorrow, his sobs echoing down the halls. It hurt the Prince as much as it hurt Gilbert, but the Prince glanced back in regret. His clanking boots reminding them both, that this was reality. If this was all a dream, this exact moment, it would be a horrifying nightmare.

'Why... does this have to happen?'

Matthew shook, hearing Gilbert's sobs making him waver, but he continued on. He stared at his reflection in the plate of his arm, he looked weak... tired. He shook his head, he had to do this. And he refused to go down... He promised Gilbert he would return. He pulled himself onto his horse, he glanced back only once at his castle, at Gilbert. "Hiyah!" he cried out, snapping the reins, immediately jolting forward as the horse took off.

As Matthew's steed clomped ahead into the forest. The Canadian spotted a silver gleam and a running man in front.
'That must be Kiku...'
Soon, the Japanese man leaped onto the branches, disappearing into the canopy of the large trees.
Matthew was met with a dirt road, rugged and forgotten. He knew only Russian and sometimes other merchants passed through to sell goods. His steed trotted on, passing rows of trees and other large vegetation.
"She could be not too far ahead.. especially running on foot with two Italians..." He murmured to himself.
His horse came to a halt. Matthew asked, "What's wrong, Rhastiph? (RAY-STIFF- meaning 'Alerted Soul'... made it up.. XP) Rhastiph tensed, then sniffed the air, he whinnied and then rode with caution.
"Ah... she/he maybe nearby..." Matthew concluded until he heard shouts and saw two figures from a distance; no bigger than an outstretched thumb.

- Kiku-

I jumped from branch to branch silently as I followed Natalia from below. ((Sorry.. Reminds me of Naruto.. XP))
She ran with no one by her side, so it was going to be a one-on-one kind of battle.
'Where's Feliciano?' I thought as I readied my katana.
Then the Belorussian paused in a clearing. She stood there as if waiting for someone... wait-wha-?
"I know you're there. You've been following me, for quite some time, no?" Natalia smirked. She quickly spun on her heels and threw a spare of knives with crackling electricity. I dodged and went to a different branch.
"Come on out... little Kiku.." she coaxed, "I'll make sure that your blood will be spilled quite nicely once I'm done..."
I threw my own Kunai knives which Natalia rose to deflect with a wall of electricity.
"I'm sure that wirr be fun.. but I have my own way of thinking of our battle..." I jumped down, my Fox ears and tail in check.

"Because, you see.." I threw my katana in her general direction, she blocked with her arm which turned into a bolt of black lightning.
"It'rr be fun... to see you on your knees when MATTHEW'S done with you.."

Matthew appeared on his horse with his sword he swung at Natalia, she retreated and went to battle stance.
"Two against one? Fine... more the merrier.." She battled the two of us, all of them receiving bruises and scars.
They dodged, thrusted, swung, reflected, attacked, leaped, sliced, stabbed, and interlocked their weapons, making this a Gorey scene.
The Japanese man was at last wounded savagely, Natalia blasted a spell that made him jerk, twist and growl.

Matthew was disgusted at the sight, I transformed into a monster. The Prince then stabbed Natalia in her side. She stopped her spell which was still intact with Me Matthew stepped back as she spat out blood. Natalia took the blade slowly and gasped loudly. Her wound oozing out rapidly.
"Y-you... Y-you.. t-tried... to ki-kill me... you b-br-bru-brute..." She wheezed.
"TELL ME WHERE THEY ARE! OR I PROMISE YOU, MORE PAIN SHALL COME!" Matthew cried in fury.
Natalia spat out more, " H-h-here.. th-th-they ar-ar-are..." She held out her hands to see two twin rats. They squeaked and scurried from her bloody palms.

The rats went to Matthew, they squeaked and cried. Matthew looked at me. Parts were mismatched. One leg of fox, the other normal. I arched his back as if merely standing straight will break it. I had over-size, sharp teeth, a wet nose and one eye of a fox. I still had my ears and tail but one arm was furry. My clothes a bit torn from the mutation.

-Normal-

Kiku slowly fell to his knees, and fell onto his side. He closed his eyes in defeat.

Matthew shouted, "Kiku! Hang in there!" The rat with honey-colored eyes fled to the mutant and seemed.. to be crying.

Matthew took Kiku's katana, He raised it threateningly.
"Al-already an-an-gry? I dare th-thee," Natalia sneered as she was kicked to the ground.
"Thou dared." Matthew growled. He rose it until Natalia said, "Th-the prince m-may lose the s-sight of his Ki-kingdom gro-growing."
Matthew hesitated. His gloved hands shaking.
"Ki-killing me..w-w-will be the worst mistake you-you've ever made... For.. the trees have ears and eyes. They are watching..."
Matthew glared, "I may turn blind... but... That doesn't change the fact you hurt my friends and brother. You..."
He rose again, then he whispered, "Shall perish."

He brought it down into her stomach. She coughed and sputtered, her eyes widened in tears. She howled and spat more blood.
Then, her head fell, her violet eyes losing color. She whispered to the trees, for they had ears.
"I'm s-s-sorry.. b-b-b-brother... I was s-such a hea-heartless si-sister.. may i-i n-never feign ig-ignorance aga-again.." Her eyes stayed open and colorless. Her mouth slightly agape. Her fingers loosing grip on the world.

Rain pounded as Matthew stood up. The rain turned into bleeding tears, tainting the area with red.
Kiku stayed still, the rats climbed onto Matthew. The Canadian limped and put Kiku on his horse.
The Rain seeped into his eyes, he rubbed it in irritation. Only to find out he was loosing sight. He cried out in frustration, and pain. Feliciano squeaked out in horror, as well as Lovino.
Matthew scratched more, he fell to his knees.
Little did the friends know, that Natalia's body turned younger, and younger, until she transformed into a small sunflower.
Matthew frantically turned his head side to side, he screamed as he tried to see.
"HeArTlEsS... I'llL nEvEr fEgIn IgNoRaNcE... aGaIn... I'm SoRrY.. NaTaLia... DiEd... BlOoD rAiNiNg DoWn... YoU wIlL lOsE... EyEs... HaTrEd... LoNeLiNeSs... HeRe LiEs... ReGrEt..." The trees whispered, and chanted. Matthew then saw darkness with the sound of screaming.

Matthew limped quietly, the Italian mice quietly leading the way. Matthew knew that Arthur most likely would turn them back. He opened his now dull eyes, desperate to see some kind of light... anything... but he simply saw darkness. He put a hand on the horse to keep himself steady as he walked, finally arriving at the castle. Servants rushed out, grabbing him gently, leading him toward the infirmary, at the sight of his dulled eyes, the servants gasped.

They wrapped his eyes in white gauze as one servant rushed up the stairs, "Prince M-Matthew is back." he gasped.
Everyone sat up, Alfred now conscious as the servant continued to gasp for air, "B-But the curse is true..." he muttered quietly. "Ma-Mattie?" Alfred tried to stand up, Arthur shook his head, "Alfre-"

"MATT?! Oh my God!" Alfred pushed Arthur away and stood, he hugged his brother.

Matthew said nothing. He smiled, he lifted his hands up and patted Alfred's hair.
Alfred pulled away and stared at Matthew's bandage.
Alfred touched his brother's cheek.

"Mattie...?" His eyes began to grow shiny with tears, "Mattie..."
"

"Yes?" Matthew asked, seeming oblivious to his situation.

"Why..?" Alfred's hands shook.

"Huh..?" Matthew just smiled.

Alfred cried, "WHY?! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR EYES?!"
Arthur tried to pull the American away, "Alfred.. stop!"
The twins squeaked as they scurried to Matthew.
"I ... I ... Scratched them... out.."
Alfred stopped, he stared at where his eyes would be. Now, he pictured empty, bloody sockets. He gagged at the thought.
"Alfred! Please.. let go of him..." Arthur pulled Alfred away and sat him down.
Matthew drooped a bit, the twins sniffed and started to cry.
"Arthur.. why are those rats touching my brother?! That's disgusting..."
Arthur stood and held the two rats, "Feliciano? Lovino..?" The rodents squeaked and squirmed. midnight was upon them. Lovino leaped from Arthur's grasp and fled out the room.
"LOVINO! GET BACK HERE!" Arthur cried as he chased after the mouse.
Matthew turned and fell to his knees, he reached out, "Lovi..no? Ar...thur...? Gi..lbert...?"
Alfred forced himself to stand and helped his brother to his feet.
"Matt.. your gonna be okay..." Alfred whispered and put him on a bed.

"Have you heard? The Prince returned!" Servants murmured and soon reached to Gilbert's ears.
"Matthew?... MATTHEW?!" He ran from his guestroom and sprinted down the halls.
"Gilbert?" Francis poked out of his room to see the Prussian run down the marble floors.
"Amigo!" The Spaniard yelled, Francis and him exchanged glances... then they hurried after him.

Kiku wandered the castle, still in his hideous form. He groaned and panted. Arthur promised to help him after he found Lovino. Still, no sign of him.
Kiku turned his head, his nose twitched.
'I smell a rat...' he snarled. He went on all fours and leaped to the path of the smell.
((ME: Sorry for so much gore earlier.. reading 'Fear Street' series by R.L. Stine and watching 'Attack on Titans'... -_-' ~ (^ - ^) ~ NNTF: No problems lol! ))

Matthew moved his head toward the sound of his lover, grasping his brother's hand tightly. He needed to know the other was there, fear making his heart beat faster. He was terrified of being lost, not being able to know if anyone's there. He flinched as the door banged open.

"BIRDIE!~ GILBERT HAS COME TO SWEEP YOU OFF YOUR-!" The Prussian paused, followed by Antonio and Francis.
"Li-liebe..?" He walked to the Canadian and lifted his head.
"Gil..ly?" He rose his hands and felt for his cheeks. Gilbert stared at Matthew's face. He then pressed his forehead to his.
"Mein Liebe..."
Matthew smiled, "Yes?..."

Gilbert closed his eyes, trying to hold back his tears. He gently let his fingers touch the gauze, "You're eyes..."
Matthew flinched, nodding quietly. He gripped the other's hand tightly, "T-They're gone..."

"But don't worry... Ich werde Immer liebe dich auch wenn du mich nicht sehwn können... (I'll forever love you.. even though you cannot see me...)" Gilbert planted a soft kiss on Matthew's forehead.
Francis and Antonio stood there as they heard footsteps advancing. Matthew nodded lightly, flinching at hearing the footsteps.

A shrill of panic echoed down the hall, pouring into the room.
Lovino leaped into the room, Antonio grabbed him and held him to his chest.
"Whoa, little mouse!" The Spaniard remarked. Arthur came in and panted. He fell to the floor, cradling Feliciano. Ludwig bolted inside, "Vhat's vith all zhe raucous?" The German looked to Matthew, "Vhat..?"

Matthew could feel the other's gaze on him, "N-Nothing..." "Vhen someone has no eyes, isn't simply 'nozhing'..." Ludwig retorted. He walked in and helped Arthur up. He stood near his brother. Alfred sat alone until Arthur sat next to him. Little Feliciano scurried to the German.

"Ve!~"
"Feliciano?!" Ludwig furrowed his brows at the rodent.
Antonio eyed the little mouse in his hands, "Lovino?" The rat nodded.

"We must be near..." Lukas replied as the group galloped on. Earlier it had rained blood. Which they knew they had to avoid. Mathias looked around quietly, surprising, "Something bad happened..." Emil examined the land quietly. Mathias looked around, "..." Lukas looked to the old dirt road the merchants used.

"Do you think they went this way?..."

Emil glanced over at Lukas, "I suppose. It's the most likely explanation after all." Elizabeta nodded and they all trotted down the path. Leaving the Sunflower all alone.

"If I ever to die, I must transform where I lie, While my dead gaze is facing the sky. For the trees have ears, and will remember my years, And I will cry bloody tears. Those who believe lies, and face the skies, will scratch out both eyes..." Roderich mumbled. He recalled the saying in an old song played by the Xestayno. (SEH-STAY-NO: A musical instrument played by pulling strings in a position at how you'd play the piano. You set it on your lap and pull the strings. It also has keys similar like the piano.)

Lukas turned back toward Roderich, "Are you coming?" Emil looked back as well, "Rodrich?" The Austrian snapped out of it. "Ah, yes. I'm coming..." Elizabeta gave a concerned look at him. The horses came into the clearing, the Castle was in view. The moonlight glared upon them. Darkness came and shrouded the forest from where they came. Lukas shook his head lightly, "I'm getting bad vibes from this place..." Elizabeta knotted her brows in concern. The group headed towards the castle, their horses making a soft rhythm on the red, wet, stained grass.

Mathias glanced around, watching the grass silently, death seeming to mute the world around them. Tino shivered as a cool breeze blew through the area, moving his horse a tad bit closer to Berwald. They reached the castle and got off their horses. They held their trusty steeds by the reigns, while Emil decided to be the one knocking on the door. KNOCK! KNOCK!

No answer...

Lukas looked up at the tall door, his eyes narrowing ever so slightly, "Something is wrong..." he mumbled. Emil knocked again, still no answer.
Mathias rose a brow, "No servant? Nobody. That's odd..." Lukas narrowed his eyes, putting his hand to the doors, a soft blue light escaping his fingers, the door easily swung open. "There."

The group put their horses tied up to a small statue, and walked inside. Lukas stopped and rose his arm to halt them, "I sense something..."
The group went silent and strained to listen. Sounds of growling was coming close. Closer, and closer. It made Rodrich's heart race.

Emil held his breath, his violet eyes scanning the area around, trying to distinguish where the sound was coming from. A monstrous snarl erupted the silence. A large shadow stretched over the marble floors. The foot steps got louder. Echoing with venom, it barked, " ? !"

Lukas paused, glancing around, breath coming out in gasps, "We're the Nordic Mercenaries... hired by Prince Matthew." The shadow crept closer until the group saw a human-like animal standing at the end of the hall. He exhaled sharply and rasped " ?!"
Elizabeta bit her lip, 'That voice... is that.. Kiku?!'

Emil backed up quickly, "Used to, I believe." The beast squinted, he trudged closer. " ? !"
He mumbled which sounded like a choir of sickening ghosts. He went close enough for them to see his eyes, but far enough for him to not reveal his form.
" (HELP) ? !"

Lukas rose a brow slightly, "That's what we're here for."
The creature breathed out a sigh and turned around, " . . . . I ' . . . . "

Emil flinched quietly at the voice, but followed him, along with the other Nordics, Lukas in the lead. Rodrich and Elizabeta both exchanged glances, and followed behind them. The monster was a few feet away, still afraid of showing his face.
((ME: Song reference: CAN YOU STAND THE PAIN?! HOW LONG WILL YOU HIDE YOUR FACE?! HOW LONG WILL YOU BE AFRAID, ARE YOU AFRAID?! - (Let it Burn by Red) Sorry... I always come up wit 'em.. )) (( NNTF: No probs! ))

Mathias was even silent, which was suprising, as they wondered where Kiku (?) was leading them. Berwald noticed the haunting silence draped around everyone in a chokehold. The eeriness was terrifying, even for him. Peter shivered and Tino put a hand on his shoulder for comfort.
" ... T..."
(ME and NNTF: This reminds us of HetaOni... :'C)
Emil asked in a whisper, " How?"

The monster turned his gaze at the Icelandic man, " E ... ..."
