Yaaas, Part 7, yaaas. Are you excited? I'm excited. This chapter is probably my favorite so far. I'm pretty proud of it.

I forgot to mention this last chapter, but who has seen the Maze Runner trailer?! Everybody ready for TMR section on to blow up? I am.

Anywho, I've been reading nonstop these last few days to get motivation for this chapter. My current book series binge has been Vampire Academy. I highly recommend it. The first is eh, but the rest so far have been great.(:

I would also like to thank Ed Sheeran for helping me pop out this chapter. I literally listened to 'Give Me Love' on loop the . The man's a genius after all.

****Quick note. I have gotten a lot of concern over Newt's relationship/friendship with Thomas. All I will say is don't worry! I love their bromance just as much as you guys So don't worry! I'll take care of them.(:

So get reading!

I don't own Minho or any characters you may recognize from Dashner's Maze Runner. Only Sutton, who I adore to pieces.

SugarSpice824; Yes it did, and it was AMAZING! I love you too, by the way! The Newtton part in the Maze was definitely my favorite scene to write from the last chapter.. I had to make sure it was perfect! And thank you so much for the cat. I would love one.(:

Guest1; Yay, #TeamThomas! All Teams are suggested and approved of.(: Don't give up hope, we still have two and a half books to get through!

LostInTheWorldOfFiction; I love that YOU love Sutton! She's very dear to my heart. Hope you enjoy this chapter!

FireXX; Well I'm glad I made you happy! Hope you enjoy chapter 7.(:

Cheshire's Red Eye; So happy to hear everyone (minus Team Thomas fans) loved the Maze scene with Newt/Sutton. As I said above, I had to make sure it was PERFECT before posting. Theresa is definitely quite the mystery; all I can say is that her relationship with Sutton is an interesting one. When it came to the Gally thing, I wasn't too sure I wanted to write it, but it worked with the chapter. I'm lovely, you're lovely, we're all lovely.(: Thanks so much, enjoy!

OneLyricLess; Sorry I took my time! I'll try to be faster next time.(: Enjoy the chapter!

Victorired; Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you like this chapter just as much.(:

Hannah Collins; I'm back! Hope you enjoy this chapter..It's a bit of a rough one, but don't worry!(:

ChocoEgg333; I love that YOU'RE loving this story!I finally got a Team Sutton! That's very interesting...(: Enjoy the chapter!

LikeABoss1219; Hearing how much you guys loved the Maze scene with Newt/Sutton makes me beyond happy.. I'm pretty sure I re-wrote it about five times. Enjoy the chapter!(:

Brianna; All six chapters in one night? That's dedication! Thank you, thank you, and I hope you enjoy the chapter.(:

AiliasFox; If you enjoyed the tension in the Maze, just wait, is all I will say..(: But please, no heart attacks! You need a heart to keep reading, silly! But no worries, this story will NOT be put on a permanent hiatus. Also, don't worry about Newt and Thomas' friendship. I PROMISE it will get better from here. Newt's just being an immature, jealous, guys who needs to get over himself, which, trust me, he will. I love the Thomas/Newt bromance just as much as you do! Enjoy the chapter.(:

AquaLizzard; (Chp5) The way I perceived Newt in the series was he was almost always calm, but when he gets angry, he gets ANGRY. Know what I'm saying? Jealousy definitely is effecting Newt whether he'd like to admit it or not. But yes, the more realistic, the better! It means I'm doing a good job with their relationship.(: (Chp6) Don't worry about their friendship! I can PROMISE you that it will get better, because trust me, I love their friendship in the books. The Newt/Thomas bromance? I ship it hard. I like to think that Newt and Sutton's relationship is realistic, because if you think about it, they're two out of 50 people stuck in a world that with no memories or experiences. Plus, they're teenagers. Between hormones and just being plain messed up, relationships are bound to form. Another Team Sutton is verrrrry interesting...(: Thanks for the input, enjoy the chapter.(:

LostGirl97; Yes, finally someone who hasn't read the books! Isn't it interesting? A group of boys who have NO memories and are stuck inside of a moving maze? Like, come on, it's incredible! Wasn't the tomato scene cute? I mean, i think Thomas is cute, so that helps, but you know...(: There are three books in the series, so don't worry, Thomas and Sutton will definitely get their time. Just saying, though, I never said Sutton is going to end up with Newt...(: Just something to think about! Enjoy the chapter.(:

Cath Avery; Yay! Thank you SO much. There are basically no Newt/OC stories on here, and Newt is my favorite character, I couldn't resist writing one. Enjoy the chapter.(:

DarylDixonLover18; Lots of Team Newts around here! I can see why, I mean, it's NEWT, but you know. I'm happy you're loving the changes and the story overall!(: Enjoy the chapter.(:

BookBitch911; Glad you enjoyed! I believe I read it and left some comments, I hope they helped! Can't wait to check in again for the next chapter.(:

Tally; Thanks for the input! Enjoy the chapter.(:

Meklittt; I like it a lot that you like it a lot. It really makes my day. Enjoy the chapter.(:

Guest2; Enjoy the new chapter!(:

Cayla; Hearing that my story is really well written makes me let out a breath of relief, it really does. That's always the thing I worry about. Enjoy the chapter!(:

EmptyOnIdeas; It's definitely hard to MR stories on here, but I'm glad you stumbled across mine. Enjoy the chapter!(:

BlackJewelTiger; Eep! Thank you SO much. Truth be told, I did a silly little happy dance reading your review.. Seriously. Stuff like this makes writing worth doing.. I hope that made sense, if not I'm sorry, I'm so tired. Enjoy the chapter!(:

Guest3; Thanks for the input! Enjoy the chapter.(:

Amie; Now you don't have to beg anymore! Enjoy the next chapter!(:

Anonymous; Thanks for the input! I'll try to add more, but you know, can't be perfect all the time! Enjoy the chapter.(:

CloudCity'sBookWorm; Can I just say that I love how everyone gave Sutton/Newt a ship name?! Newtton. I LOVE it. Enjoy the chapter.(:

Guest2(4); Thank you so much! Trust me, if I could drop everything and just write this, I so would. Enjoy the chapter.(:

Guest5; I adore when he calls her 'sweetheart', too! I think it fits Newt to a T. Enjoy the chapter.(:

FanGirl101; Enjoy the chapter!(:

Get our your guns, battle's begun

Are you a saint or a sinner?

If love's a fight, then I shall die

With my heart on a trigger.

They say before you start a war

You better know what you're fighting for

Well baby, you are all that I adore

If love is what you need, a soldier I will be.

I'm an angel with a shotgun

Fighting 'till the war's won

I don't care if Heaven won't take me back

I'll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe

Don't you know you're everything I have?
And I, wanna live, not just survive tonight.

"Hi, Sutton,".

Despite looking straight at the raven-haired girl, her voice stopped me dead in my tracks.

"I see you do know my name," I replied, pursing my lips.

"Don't ask me how I do.. Don't really remember much," the girl scoffed, shaking her head.

"At least we're in the same boat in that department. Only thing I remembered when I got here was my name, and even that was sketchy," I told her as I sat down across from her cautiously on her bed.

Seeing my discomfort, she smiled weakly.

"I won't bite, promise,".

"Hon, I want to believe you, but Minho told me you sat up screaming my name—I think I'm allowed to be a little cautious,".

"Whatever," she replied, shrugging her shoulders lightly.

We sat facing each other in an awkward silence until I finally worked up the nerve to speak.

"So, what's it like?".

"What's what like?" she asked, running a hand through her hair.I felt myself shrugging my shoulders as I spoke.

"You know. Waking up here, not having a shuck clue what's what. I mean, we all got lucky compared to you. We woke up in that Box and got pulled out. You, well... You just woke up here,".

Raven-Hair stared at me for a while, but was clearly deep in thought.

"I don't know.. I guess it's one in the same, really. We just woke up in different places,".

I nodded, taking that for a decent answer. I obviously didn't know much about this girl, but she's smart, that much is clear. I still didn't know why I was up here talking to her, considering she didn't really have anything to tell me, so I stood up, awkwardly brushing invisible dirt off of my shorts.

"Well, I've gotta head out—you know, stuff to do," I mumbled, shooting her a tight smile. When I got no answer, I turned to head out of the room.

"Theresa," she called out as soon as my hand landed on the door knob.

"What?" I said, an eyebrow shooting up.

"That's my name, I think. Theresa,".

"Hi, Theresa. I'm Sutton," I introduced myself, even though I knew.

"I know,".

I was laying in the grass outside of the Homestead, sprawled out with my hair fanned out under my head when his smooth voice reached me.

"Talk to her?".

"She knew who I was," I murmured, squinting against the sun.

"I just don't get it. Nobody here remembers a bloody thing, yet there she is, screaming your name," Newt sighed, frustrated. He kicked up patch of grass before plopping down into the grass next me.

"Whoa, calm down there, gimpy," I chuckled, leaning back down into the grass.

"Gimpy? Really?".

"Yes, really," I said.

"Not even 'devilishly handsome'?" Newt suggested, raising an eyebrow. I scoffed at that, finally glancing up to face him.

"Definitely not,".

"Ouch," Newt said in fake pain, clutching his hand to his heart.

"Oh please, you'll live," I winked, smiling as Newt winked back.

We sat in silence for a while, enjoying the beautiful weather that the Glade always seemed to have. In the distance, the mooing of a cow could be heard.

"It is weird, though," I finally agreed after a while.

"What is?" he asked, turning to face me.

"You know, how Theresa knows who I am,".

"So that's her name, huh? She wouldn't tell any of us," Newt replied, his mind somewhere else.

I couldn't help but feel a bit jealous as he thought of the Glade's second girl. He didn't think she was pretty, did he?

"Bet you she would have if you would've just used some of that British charm on her," I suggested, shrugging my shoulders.

The look on Newt's face was priceless, as if it was Christmas.

"I'm charming, am I?" he asked with a smug look on his face.

"Don't let it get to your head, Newt,".

"Whatever you say, love," Newt sighed, running his hand over mine.

Silently, I glanced up to look at him, his face clouded with the shadow of the sunlight. Damn, he was gorgeous. For once, his long shoulder-length hair was pulled back today in a ponytail against his neck, a new look for him. Long pieces of hair had fallen out of the band, for some strands were shrouded against his face. The sun's lights and darks contrasted wonderfully against his strong, chiseled face—his cheekbones stood out almost painfully in the sunlight.

Newt's thumb massaging the back of my hand snapped me out of my inspection.

"Look, Sutton, about earlier..." he started, but stopped as a few Gladers made their way past us, careful to avoid looking like eavesdroppers.

"What about it?".

"Sutton.. If I pressured you into anything, you'd tell me, right? Back in the Maze.." he tried to say but groaned when he couldn't think of the right words. "Back in the Maze, I was very much caught up in the moment,".

"Oh, I know" I cut in, the memory of Newt's body pressing against mine very clear in my mind.

"No idea what it means. Looks old and rusty, which means its been here for a while," Newt mumbled as he came up behind me, pressing his chest into my back.

"Still doesn't explain why you're showing this to me," I replied, pursing my lips at the close contact.

The combination of my body heat and his body heat was intoxicating, but he would never know that.

Newt was not going to win this game.

"Seriously, Sutton. Whatever's going on between us... I want it to be mutual, not something you're doing just to make me happy or.." Newt was beginning to ramble, and it was almost painful to watch.

"Newt, shut up,".

"But Sutton, I—,".

My arm shot up and grabbed Newt's shirt collar, pulling his lips down against mine.

"Newt. Shut up," I smiled, my lips molding against his once more before releasing his shirt. "Hey, how did Thomas' trial go?" I asked suddenly, my Newt-induced haze making me almost forget about the day's events.

"Why don't you just kiss me again and not ruin the moment?" Newt replied, his voice wary.

Not liking the tone of his voice, I sat up to face him fully, eyes zoning on his bright ones.

"What happened?".

"Sutton, just drop it, we'll discuss this later,".

"No, Newt, we're discussing this now. What happened?".

Newt refused to look at me as he sighed, blowing the loose strands of hair out of his face.

"Newt, what did you do?".

"He got arrested, okay?" Newt growled, throwing his hands up in the air.

"Excuse me?" I laughed sarcastically shocked.

Thomas. Was arrested.. For saving Newt's best friend?

"How could you do that?".

"It wasn't just my choice, Sutton, there's a council! We voted and that was the outcome, end of story," Newt insisted, eyes shut as he spoke.

My blood was boiling at this; not just because it was Thomas, but because of why he was arrested. I was practically shaking.

"And you didn't stop them? You're currently the, oh, I don't know, head freaking honcho and you didn't stop and think, 'hmm, maybe Thomas actually did something right for once'?".

"It wasn't just me, Sutton! I wasn't the only person who voted for it," Newt argued, pushing off of his knees to stand up. I was right behind him.

"Oh, so you did vote against him?" I scoffed, shaking my head. "Of course you did,".

"You weren't there, Sutton, you don't know what happened," Newt spat, anger filling him just as quickly.

"So enlighten me, Newt. Fill me in on what Thomas did wrong besides saving Alby,".

Gladers were quickly surrounding us, curious to hear not just to hear Thomas' verdict, but to hear us fight.

"Not here, not with everyone listening," Newt tried, but I'd just about had it.

"Why, so they won't figure out that you're a bad leader? That you can do crap without Alby around?".

I knew I had gone too far when Newt couldn't stand still, couldn't look me in the eye. If I was a boy, I would've gotten hit by now.

"Why are you even defending him? I did what I could, he's only in the cellar for a night, Sutton, one night. It was the best I could do,".

"No, it wasn't, Newt. You're jealous. For some unknown reason, you are jealous of him and you know it," I whispered against his ear.

In a second, Newt was gone, walking in the opposite direction.

"You're walking away from me again? Shocker," I spat, crossing my arms defiantly. He spun on his heel to face me, his finger in my face.

"I'm walking away because I care about you, Sutton. And if we keep going the way we're going, I'm going to do something I regret. I care too much to do that to you,".

I was left in shock at his words; confused, shocked, maybe even a little touched.

"Knock, knock," I called out as my fists hit the iron bars of Thomas's cell, making him jump in the dim light.

"You scared me.." Thomas shivered, rubbing his arms to keep the warmth of the Glade, the cells were quite cold.

"Sorry. How you holding up?" I asked, leaning against the bars.

After my explosive fight with Newt, I had argued with Minho until he finally caved, bringing me to see Thomas. I apparently had ten minutes, which wasn't near enough.

Not to hear Thomas' whole side of the story.

"As good as I can be, I guess. I'm assuming you heard everything from Newt?" he replied, finally looking up at me.

I let out a hiss at the sight of his face—the boy looked like shit... Klunk.

His face was tired, bags under his eyes, creased with worry lines. He looked almost too thin in the shadows, but I remembered his strong arms and body from once before.

Not from the Glade, but from... Somewhere.

"Not really. We actually had a fight over you," I told him, to which he grimaced.

"A bad one?".

"Not our worst, but pretty shucking close," I widened my eyes at the memory of slapping Newt.

"He defended me," Thomas spoke up in the darkness, making my head snap over to face him.

"He what?" I asked my voice filled with shock. Thomas smiled, chuckling slightly.

"Crazy, right? The council voted on what to do with me since entering the Maze by choice, if not a Runner, is a crime. Newt told everyone how brave it was of me to save Minho and Alby and how I shouldn't be severely punished," Thomas explained to me. I

let my head drop against the cool bars, letting out a groan.

"Great," I muttered, feeling like the biggest idiot in the Glade.

"What?" Thomas asked, sipping water out of some kind of makeshift cup.

"I thought... I thought Newt was one of the people who voted against you, the one who insisted you get punished," I told him, wanting to smack myself in the face.

Newt had stuck up for Thomas. Of course he did.

The ONE time I'm wrong, it's in the worst way possible.

"Nope. That notion was actually Gally's idea; yes, I know, but he's on the council," Thomas chuckled at the look I shot him once hearing Gally's name. "He freaked out, actually. Said I should be banished, just like Ben. Minho and Newt stuck up for me, saying they'd basically knock his head off of his shoulders if he kept going on the way he was.. He did mention something, though..".

"Who, Gally?" I asked, barely listening.

Man, was this apology going to suck.

"Yeah. Said something about when he was going through the Changing, he saw me..".

"Wait, Gally got stung?" I couldn't help but interrupt at that. Gally had been stung?

"Yes, Sutton. I didn't know, either. He apparently saw me.. I don't know, making the Glade," Thomas shivered at the thought, clearly just as confused as I felt.

"But how? That's not possible, you weren't part of the original group to get put here," I added in to our thoughts, but Thomas' next words stopped me in my tracks.

"Not building the stuff here in the Glade, Sutton, making the actual Glade. Making the entire thing,".

"That's not possible, either. Why would make this whole shuck place just to be thrown into it with no memories?" I asked as Thomas and I both sat cross-legged on the cell floors, facing each other from opposite sides of the bar.

"No clue. Seems strange, doesn't it? But who knows if Gally was even telling the truth. He acted crazy in there," Thomas shook his head in what seemed to be disbelief when I began talking.

"Crazy like when he attacked me crazy?".

"Yeah, actually. Forgot about that," Thomas' eyebrows shot up when he put both coincidences together.

"You forgot that Gally almost choked me to death? Gee, thanks, buddy," I replied, shooting him a curt smile and a thumbs up.

"No, no, it's not like that. I've just had a lot on my plate recently,".

We sat in a comfortable silence that I'd only felt with Newt so far here in the Glade for what seemed like forever until Minho opened the door to the cells, peeking his head in.

"Time's up, Greenie,".

"Be right there," I smiled at him to show my thanks.

When Minho shut the door, I turned back to face Thomas, staring directly into his dark eyes.

"I'm going to get you out of here as soon as I can. And when I do, we're going to get out of here,".

"How? Alby's group has been here for two years and hasn't figured anything out. What can we do that they can't?" he asked me, wrapping a few fingers around one of the bars.

"Well, you've survived a night in the Glade. None of them can do that," I told him, curling my fingers around his for mere seconds before the door opened again.

Minho's eyebrows narrowed at the sight of us jumping away from each other but didn't say anything, instead holding the door open for me to pass through.

He shot a warning glance back at Thomas before slamming the door shut, leaving Thomas in a lonely silence.

"You need to be careful around him, Greenie," Minho told me as he walked me back to the Homestead, something he had insisted on.

"Ugh, not you too with this stuff," I groaned, throwing my arms up into the air.

"No, no, not like that. I'm not saying he's dangerous. In fact, I actually like the kid. I think he's good for this place," Minho argued back, glancing at me out of the corner of his eye.

"Really?" I replied, looking at him in the same way. Minho laughed, elbowing me lightly.

"Yeah, really. Is that so hard to believe? All I'm saying is that, we're both guys, right?".

"Uh, no," I cut him off, slightly offended at Minho calling me a guy.

"No, no, not like that either! I meant me and Thomas, girl," Minho stuttered quickly to fix his mistake.

"Oh. Then yes, you're both guys," I said quietly, shooting him an apologetic look.

"As I was saying, we're both guys. I can tell when someone has feelings for a girl. I don't know what it is between you two, but he feels something. The way he looks at you is.. Different," Minho explained, coming to a stop in the middle of the Glade's square.

"Everyone here looks at me differently, I'm a girl," I rolled my eyes, clearly not understanding what Minho was going for.

"Sutton, sweetie. I'm saying the dude thinks you're hot," he cut right to the point, eyes blaring into mine.

"I'm the only girl here that's able to walk around and function properly, Minho, it's a typical reaction," I tried to make an excuse, pursing my lips.

"Sutton, you may be the only girl around here besides Coma Girl up there, but I'm not lying when I say that you're down right gorgeous. I've had to stop Newt from fighting shanks after hearing what they say about you,".

I felt myself blush at that.

"Watch yourself," I told him at the 'down right gorgeous' comment.

"Like I said, I don't have a problem with the Greenbean, but you and Newt, you two have something. If Newt thinks for a second that there's something going on between you and Thomas..".

"He'll put him in a jail cell and throw away the key?" I suggested, anger filling my voice.

Minho let out a frustrated sigh, not wanting to fight with me over Newt.

"I'm just saying that Newt and Thomas are already on thin ice. Just because he backed Thomas up today doesn't mean they're best friends now. Be careful,".

We continued making our way to the Homestead, which wasn't far off.

"I know what I'm doing," I insisted, a confident tone emitting from my body. Minho shot me a look I couldn't figure out before heading in to check on Theresa.

"I hope so,".

"Newt's up there, you know," a Glader told me downstairs in the Homestead.

"Don't I know it," I sighed as I made my way up the stairs.

"Good that, Sutton. Scream if you need help," he called over.

I thought he was making a rude joke, but when I looked back at him, I knew he was serious.

"Newt won't hurt me. Despite how much we fight, he's not that bad of a person,".

As the words escaped my mouth, I knew I was saying them more for myself than for the random Glader boy below me. I shouldn't need convincing of such; after all, I was the one who hit him.

When I didn't hear a reply, I made my way up the creaky stairs. Overhearing Minho and Theresa's conversation wasn't part of the plan, but it happened.

"You woke up screaming Sutton's name and now you're trying to tell me that you don't know her? Don't pull that klunk on me," Minho scoffed from behind closed doors.

"I'm serious. I don't even know why I said her name," Theresa said, but I knew she was lying.

Theresa knows something, but what she knows is the question.

I stopped in front of Newt's door, preparing for the worst. Images of how badly Newt tore up our room after Alby got stuck in the Maze flashed through my mind. How much of a mess was it now, considering I had pissed him off pretty bad?

Newt stuck up for Thomas.

My throat let out a small sigh before I raised my fist to rap against the lean frame. When he didn't answer, I assumed he was sleeping, but then I realized that I knew better. Last time something like this happened, Newt threatened to knock people's teeth out.

So I knocked again.

"Busy," Newt's muffled voice called out from behind the door.

Little did Newt know, I was not taking no for an answer. So, like the idiot was, I kept knocking.

And knocking, until Newt swung the door open in anger.

"What?".

When he saw my face, his face twisted into a look that worried me, before he slammed the door shut in my face. My hand shot out and braced the slam, not letting the door shut all of the way.

"Said I'm busy," he growled from behind the door.

"And I know you're not. Let me in, Newt,".

My quiet, calm voice must've changed his tone, for the pressure against my palm disappeared, allowing me to open the door.

Cringing at the loud creaking of the door, I stepped into our room, shutting the door behind me.

"You're not here to hit me again, are you?" Newt snapped, but the look on his face did not match his voice.

"Stop it Newt, I just came to talk," I tried to say, but Newt didn't feel like listening.

"Yeah, and that's how I got slapped last time,".

My sigh came out loud and harsh as my butt collapsed onto the old mattress, waiting for him to talk to me in a normal tone. My eyes ran over his back as he stood at the window, surveying the scenes of the Glade. When I realized he wasn't going to speak first, I spoke up.

"I saw Thomas,".

I knew that that probably wasn't the best way to start the apology, but it had to be said. Newt's body tensed at Thomas' name but he didn't say anything.

"He explained everything to me.. About how you and Minho defended him," as I spoke, I stood up and made my way over to Newt.

As if on cue, the walls of the Maze began to close for the night and I felt Newt's body flinch at the sound.

"Alby's here now. Here's not out there anymore," I reassured Newt in a quiet voice, placing my hand on his shoulder.

He wrenched his body away from mine, a scowl on his face.

"Don't think I know that? Don't think I know that I stuck up for Thomas, either?".

Newt began to pace around the room, strong hands glued to his hips.

"I did it for you, you know. I thought to myself, 'Sutton trusts him, so maybe I should, too'. So yes, Sutton, I did stop and think to myself that maybe, just maybe, he did do the right thing,".

"Newt, I—,".

"No, Sutton. No. Just stop talking. Every time we fight it's you telling me to listen. Now I'm telling you. Me and Tommy Boy, we don't get along. I know that. But after all of the fighting we did, I figured maybe I should give him a shot. I did the best I could. I'm not Alby, Sutton. I don't have the type of pull he does around here. I can't just snap my fingers for Thomas to get off the hook. He had to face some type of punishment for everyone to be happy," Newt growled the whole time as his plan unraveled in my brain.

Newt had wanted to let Thomas go clean.

"If it was up to me, Thomas would not be in a jail cell right now. I know I've been overreacting when it comes to him. I almost had it, too. Almost had him free to go. But then Gally spoke up and the shank bloody snapped and sent the whole place into a frenzy!".

Newt was still pacing when his hand curled into a fist and slammed into the wall, the wall cracking under the pressure slightly. My hands flew to my mouth in shock, just wishing he would calm down. But letting him talk it out was clearly the only way he was going to calm down anytime soon.

"I just don't get it. I've done a lot for you when it comes to helping you adjust here, don't you think, Sutton? Pretty sure I've bent over backwards for you once or twice. Yet no matter what I do, you find something to complain about. I'm always wrong, always," Newt chuckled darkly, running a hand through his long blonde hair.

"You're not always—,".

"But along comes Thomas. He had the chance to save your life twice, and he failed. Who saved you, both times? Me. What did he do? He stood there and watched, yet somehow, he's always right. It's like you idolize him!" Newt continued to yell, not even noticing that his knuckles were cracked and bleeding from the hit to the wall.

"Newt, you're bleeding," I muttered, but the look on his face cut me short.

"Get out,".

"What?" I asked in disbelief.

"Take your stuff and leave. I can't.. I can't be in the same room with you knowing that I can't hold you, or kiss you, or.. Just leave," he sighed, raking a hand down his face.

Tears were prickling my eyes, threatening to fall. I just knew that something like this would happen.

Knew that what had happened in the Maze wouldn't last.

It can't.

"So what are you saying?" I said to his back.

"I'm saying that no matter how hard we try or are going to try, we'll always end up here. You and me, arguing, hating each other," Newt replied sadly.

I shook my head, knowing he didn't want it to be true, but in reality, we both knew it was.

"We're not good for each other," I whispered.

Newt's body language told me he was doing okay until I agreed with him; that meant that the feeling had to be mutual.

"We're not," Newt agreed, hesitating, but finally turning around to face me.

"You know I would've chosen you, right?" I said as I gathered my things.

"Chosen?" Newt asked, confused after his heated statements.

"Yeah, chosen. If at this exact moment you would've had me choose between you and Thomas, I would've chosen you. Yes, we fight, and yes, we'll never agree with each other, but we have something.. Had," I corrected myself, pulling my hair to one side. "There's nothing going on between me and Thomas. And if there is, I would love to know, because I'm pretty sure the feelings are one-sided,".

Newt didn't answer me, so I took that as my queue to leave. I didn't look at Newt as I made my way to the door with as much pride as I could. Wrapping my hand around the door knob, I pulled it quickly, wanting to leave the room as quickly as possible.

"Dammit," I heard Newt say to himself as a large hand appeared next to my head, slamming the door shut.

My body jumped at the sound, my boy was spun around, my body was pinned against the door.

"What are you doing?" I asked cautiously, staring at him warily.

Newt swatted my belongings out of my hands, not bothering with them as they dropped to the floor.

"Newt.." I warned him, but Newt's eyes weren't filled with anger anymore.

They were filled with something else, something like passion.

Newt's lips found mine immediately, and captured them in a hungry kiss. I tried to pull away, knowing Newt wasn't in his right mind. Taking hold of my hands, he pinned them indefinitely against the door above my head, fighting off my protests.

"Newt, you just said—,".

"Forget what I said," Newt's throaty growl replied, cutting my voice off with his lips.

I gasped against his lips, tasting that sweet, sugary taste that embodied Newt. This was beyond unexpected, but let's be honest, I didn't want to stop him.

Without breaking the kiss, Newt shifted closer so that we pressed against each other, chest to chest, the only thing separating us being our thin amounts of clothing. Newt's hands finally left mine to squeeze my shoulders, tugging me even closer to him if possible.

"You are beautiful..." Newt whispered before tugging lightly at my bottom lip, eyes on mine the whole time.

Well, hot damn.

"We shouldn't be doing this," I told him in between kisses until Newt finally pulled away.

"So tell me to stop. Tell me to stop and I will let you turn around and walk out this door. I won't stop you," he said, breathless.

We stared at each other, our breathing uneven, both of us waiting for my answer.

"Tell me to stop," Newt said against my neck, peppering my skin lightly with small kisses. "One, easy, word. Four letters. Say it," his voice said, warm breath now against my collar bone.

When my body relaxed into his grip on my hips, it was like a switch went off.

Neither of us felt like stopping.

Newt's hands were on the back of my thighs, boosting me up around his rib cage. My small fingers curled around the collar of his olive-green shirt that complimented his tan skin oh so well as they did earlier in the day, pulling his lips back up to mine. I heard his sharp intake of breath as my legs wrapped tightly around his hips, not planning on letting go anytime soon.

A smile erupted onto my face as I felt Newt stumble over to our mattress, dumping me onto the soft surface unceremoniously. He was quick, falling atop me in seconds.

Fingers ran up and down my bare stomach, my matching shirt pushed up into wrinkles. When those sugary lips fell to my stomach, my back arched into him, giving him better access.

Newt's name was escaping my lips just as frantically as mine was his, electricity pulsating through our bodies. Newt's hands shot up to the hem of my shirt, pulling it off in a hurry.

As my arms lifted above my head to help assist the man, our door flew open. I expected Newt to pull away from me, but he only tugged my shirt back down.

"Not interrupting, am I?" the dark-skinned boy asked in a smug tone.

"Come on Alby, now is the time you decide to get out of bed?" Newt groaned, rolling off of my body. Alby shrugged, unable to hold in his laugh.

"Don't need you two making any Glader babies, now. I could hear you guys from down the hall!".

"Guess we'll just have to be quieter next time. Or take our business elsewhere," Newt responded, taking deep breaths to calm himself down.

I watched the interaction between the two best friends, not being able to hide my smile.

"Should I leave you two alone?" I asked the boys, pushing off the mattress to sit up. Newt nodded his head no before leaning his chin on my shoulder.

"Whatever Alby needs, you can be here to hear, love,".

"Good that," I smiled at the nickname.

"I didn't plan on having you leave, anyway, Greenie. Something's happened," Alby began, crossing his arms.

"What's up?" Newt asked, clearing his throat. I could feel his pulse against my shoulder, and it was still beating just as fast as it had been five minutes ago.

"It's that new shuckface, Theresa. I think we should lock her up,".

Newt glanced at me out of the corner of his eye. Locking people up was a touchy subject between us.

"Why's that?" Newt asked between tight teeth.

"Well, one minute, she's perfectly fine, eating her dinner that we made for her. The next, she's freaking out, convulsing, talking about something called 'The End'.." Alby explained.

Newt leaned in, planting a loud kiss against my cheek before standing up to stand near Alby.

"The End? What in the bloody hell is that?".

"I have no shucking idea. That's why I figured I'd ask you two. Sutton, specifically,".

Both Alby and Newt turned to look at me, but I was lost in my own memories.

I was in some sort of tech room, blueprints displayed all around me. Someone was standing next to me, but I couldn't see their face.

"That should be it," I told the person, clicking the top of my pen.

"Great. This is only an emergency, last-minute thing, though," the person said, to which I nodded.

Through my own eyes, I watched my hand flit over a large sheet over paper, writing something onto the page: THE END.

"Sutton!" Newt's voice began to break me out of my spell, and when I snapped out of it, Newt was crouched in front of me, shaking my shoulders lightly.

"What's The End, Sutton?" Alby asked me, clearly knowing that I knew something.

"It's not good. We have to start preparing for it," I rambled, my voice shaking.

"How do we prepare for something that we have no idea what it is?" Newt asked, dumbfounded over the whole situation.

My body was shaking as I shrugged my shoulders.

"I don't know,".

As if on cue, an ear-splitting scream passed through the air. Newt took hold of me protectively, even though we knew who it was.

Theresa.
