This is the edited version with, hopefully, a lot less mistakes.
Please enjoy this chapter because it gives out more hints about Terumi and I also made Midorima more in depth. A lot of you might not like Kagami and Takao here but please bear with it.
Anyways, I hope you like it and remember to check out my other stories, as well as the poll on my profile!
So, without further ado, here is the next chapter!
"May I go to the bathroom to wash my hands?" Kuroko asked in the Seirin locker room and most jumped because they had forgotten about their phantom player. After the initial shock, Riko nodded, though hesitantly, and Koganei jumped to the idea.
"I'm going, too!" He said happily and ushered Kuroko out.
"Ah, Koganei-kun –" Riko started to say but stopped abruptly.
"Riko, is something wrong?" Hyuuga asked and the Riko shook her head.
"No, it's probably nothing." She said and smiled to assure the captain that everything was alright. He shrugged before going back to Izuki to talk about strategies. Riko sighed mentally and worried over the blind girl while listening.
During which, Kuroko and Koganei arrived at the bathroom. Kuroko, who had done this many times before, confidently walked into the men's bathroom and Koganei followed behind. Takao, the Shuutoku first year point guard, was washing his hands at that moment, wondering just how much Seirin had gone through to make it this far. He then stopped whistling at the approaching footsteps. He then smiled at who it was.
"Yo." He said, smirking as he tilted his head to get a better view of Kuroko. Koganei, on the other hand, hesitated. How had the guy notice Kuroko passing behind him?
"Hello." Kuroko said without even glancing at Takao. It was as if he had known he was there since the beginning. Takao raised one eyebrow with skepticism before smiling easily.
"Good luck on the next match." He commented before leaving the two behind. Takao smiled. There was definitely something different with Midorima's old teammate, and he was sure that Midorima knew just what it was. Takao couldn't wait to wheel it out of him. It was always better to know your opponent, especially someone as mysterious and aloof as Kuroko.
10 minutes before the game, the two teams started to set out for the court where they would battle and only one victor would remain. Kuroko stayed behind and walked up to Kagami, who was still sleeping at the time.
"Kagami-kun, it is time." Kuroko said and Kagami slowly started to open his eyes, determination evident.
At the same time, the Shuutoku captain motioned Midorima that it was time.
"Please go ahead." Midorima replied and his teammates shrugged, leaving the eccentric ace behind at the locker room. He closed his eyes as he remembered Kuroko piercing through the wall of Seiho and her new found light, Kagami.
'Kuroko.' He thought as a memory from when they were in Teiko invaded his mind.
"I saw you the other day." Midorima said as they both started to run for their daily training regimen.
"I do not understand." Kuroko replied, impassive as always.
"Ever since we found out your true identity, you have been growing closer to Aomine." He elaborated, trying his best not to sound overly caring.
"I have." She answered simply.
"Do you normally ask people if you can touch their faces?" Midorima abruptly asked, unwillingly to let this drag on further. He was curious as to why Kuroko had been touching Aomine's face the other day, and felt a sort of pang in his heart when she had only done it do Aomine.
Kuroko looked genuinely stunned, though he could barely make it out with her bangs covering most of her face, but after the initial shock, she started running again, and Midorima made sure to make the pace go slower.
"Are you jealous, Midorima-kun?" Kuroko asked, no snarky voice but only curiosity filling his ears. Midorima in turn spluttered and blushed at the blunt words. He was sometimes glad that Kuroko was blind.
"How absurd of you to think that!" He retorted fiercely but received no answer from Kuroko. "I was merely curious because you never made that much physical contact with us. If I recall, the only physical contact you made was with Aomine, when you two would fist bump." He then explained and he saw Kuroko nod subtly.
"I see. I am sorry if I made you confused." Kuroko said and Midorima waited for her to continue. "I was asking Aomine-kun if I could see what he looked like. As I am blind, I cannot see people's faces. If I touch their face, it gives me some hint on what they look like, and I wanted to know what Aomine-kun looked like." She then added and a revelation hit Midorima.
Because Kuroko never looked as though she was blind, he had always forgotten that she couldn't see anything. That was how much he respected her.
"Why didn't you ask him the moment he found out you were blind?" He asked.
"I did not trust him enough. I never ask such a question until I am sure that we can be together always." She answered.
"Did you ask the others as well?" He then asked cautiously, trying his best not to sound desperate. Thankfully, Kuroko didn't pick up on that.
"I will in due time. I asked Aomine-kun first because I believed that as his shadow, I would at least know what my light looks like. My light is always first."
'So, Kagami is Kuroko's light, isn't he?' Midorima thought and sighed. 'I wonder if the same thing will happen to her as last time. Until she asks him that question, I will not be able to predict.'
Midorima then focused as he squeezed his eyes harder.
'I didn't miss a shot today. I didn't hold back during training either. I took care of the nails of my left hand as usual. Today's horoscope was the best for cancer. I have today's lucky item too: a tanuki item from Shigaraki. I laced my shoes starting from the right. I did everything I could.'
Both aces then stood up and declared that it was time to go.
Midorima walked out of the locker room and was met with Takao, who had been waiting for him all the time.
"You're late, Shin-chan! The seniors already went ahead." Takao commented and Midorima just sighed.
Kagami followed Kuroko out with fire radiating violently.
Once the Seirin duo met with their seniors, Hyuuga began his passionate speech.
"God, I'm tired. I've been melancholic since this morning, you know? Two match in a row, against two kings at that… When I thought that if we won against Seiho, we'd still have a match after that. But there's only one match left, so we don't have to hold back anything. Be happy that there's only one thing left to do. We'll throw everything at them until we take them down!" He finished and they all cheered, spirits regaining once more.
Midorima walked over to Kuroko, who was getting ready with her uniform.
"Midorima-kun." Kuroko said simply without even looking over.
"I see you still remember my footsteps, Kuroko." Midorima said.
"I could never forget the footsteps of anyone, especially those whom I had played with together before." Kuroko answered and finally looked towards his direction, or rather, his chest.
"I really didn't expect you to win this far." Midorima admitted. "But it stops here. You think that weak, unknown schools can fight if everyone joins their strength, but that's just an illusion." Midorima then pushed hi glasses up with determination in his eyes.
"Come, Kuroko. I will teach you how foolish your choice was to go to Seirin when you could have gone to a stronger school like Shuutoku." Kuroko stayed silent before answering.
"Kise-kun tried to recruit me to Kaijo as well, a well-known school. Nobody can know for sure if the choice one makes for one's life is right or not. I did not choose for a reason like that, Midorima-kun. And I will object to something. At the very least, Seirin is not weak. While I am grateful that you would ask me to join you at Shuutoku, I would like to decline." Kuroko said and Midorima had to hold back a splutter as Kuroko had hit the nail at his implied suggestion.
"We will not lose." Kuroko declared.
And thus began the match of Seirin and Shuutoku.
Takao, who had seen the talk between Midorima and Kuroko, went to the green haired student.
"Hey, aren't you going to talk to Kagami, too?" He asked with his hands on his hips. Midorima merely huffed.
"It's unnecessary. I have nothing to talk about with someone who played so pitifully his last match. If he has something to say, he should express it with his plays, not his words." Midorima insulted loud enough for the red head to hear.
"Hah…" Kagami started, taking in Midorima's words. "I agree." He then said and Hyuuga, who had been watching, gave Kagami a curious look.
When I remember the match, I can't help but be mad at myself. Frustration just keeps piling up. But guess what, grass head?" Kagami said as he lifted his head. Midorima hesitated at fiery eyes of Kagami.
"I've been piling it all up to turn it into fighting spirit, all to defeat you, bastard. I just can't hold back any longer. Let's go."
Midorima inspected the red head with a critical eye. "What did you say? It doesn't matter, though. Do what you want. If you can, that is."
The two schools lined up for the tip off. Before that could happen, however, Midorima confronted Kagami once more, this time where there were not a lot of people to hear them.
"Did Kuroko do anything yet?" He asked and Kagami gave Midorima a questioning look.
"What do you mean? Kuroko didn't do anything." Kagami answered, confused. Those words made Midorima's doubt extinguish and a relieved sigh escaped his lips.
"Good." He said before leaving. Kagami, however, wasn't satisfied and grabbed Midorima's wrist.
"You didn't answer my question. What do you mean? Did Kuroko do something?" Kagami asked and Midorima shrugged him off.
"No, Kuroko did nothing. It just means he doesn't trust you enough yet. That is all." Midorima responded before going back to his place. Kagami pondered his words with anger. What did he know about Kuroko not trusting him? Or was it true?
Kagami decided not to dwell on it and walked to the center where the ball was. The referee launched the ball up in the air and the match began with Kagami sending the ball to Mitobe. The teams all scrambled and both defense and offense began their positions.
"Shuutoku's defense is good. There's no opening at all." Furihata commented with worry.
"We have to score first!" A benchwarmer screamed but Riko shut him off.
"We can't. If you take it easy against a stronger opponent, it'll only give them the initiative. We have to get the first quarter first. And for that, we need a strong greeting." Riko explained with a smile on her face. On the court, Shuutoku's number 5 lost his mark on the phantom player and before they knew it, Izuki had got the ball through the defense and onto Kuroko's hands. With a push upward, the ball went straight to Kagami, who jumped at that time, and got ready to score with an alley-oop.
Kise and Kasamatsu saw the play with deja vu and even Takao was surprised with the play. However, before the ball could enter the hoop, Midorima jumped and knocked the ball away. Kagami and Kuroko alike expressed their surprise and Midorima tsked.
"How disappointing. Did you really expect something like this would work on me, Kuroko?" Midorima said with bored eyes and Terumi twitched subtly.
'Impossible.' Riko thought. 'How could block something like that?'
Takao got the ball and Izuki ran to block him. He just smirked and immediately passed the ball without even looking at his teammate, shocking Izuki.
'Don't tell me he has the same ability as me.' Izuki thought as Shuutoku jumped to make a shot. At the last second, Hyuuga jumped in and blocked the shot. With neither teams yielding, two minutes passed with no one scoring.
And then, the balance was broken when the ball went to Midorima, who was standing in the middle of the court. Hyuuga watched with wide eyes.
'Is he really going to shoot a three in this situation? He thought as the ball soared and Midorima started going back to defense. Kagami watched the play with surprise and would have kept watching if it weren't for Kuroko.
"Please start running." The phantom player said as he ran past him and Kagami followed his lead, though he was a bit doubtful.
The ball entered the hoop and a three was given to Shuutoku.
"They've broken the balance!" Kise exclaimed. "With this, the flow of the question is for Shuutoku!"
The ball bounced back once and before anyone knew it, Kuroko had gotten the ball. Everyone in and off the court watched astonishment as the smallest player turn several times before launching the ball straight across the court. Midorima turned around in confusion as to what the noise was about and as the ball passed Midorima's surprise face, Kagami took the ball and dunked, Seirin jumping right back.
Midorima glared at the only girl in the court and gritted out her last name.
"I'm sorry. But if we let you get the first quarter so easily, it would be problem." Kuroko said in monotone, face unwavering.
"What in the world…?" The captain of Shuutoku, Ootsubo, commented and Takao sweat-dropped.
"He had a pass like that, too?" He asked to his teammate, Miyaji, and even he couldn't say anything.
'This is the first time I see it, too.' Hyuuga thought and mentally thanked the gods that Kuroko was with them.
"The match starts now!" Kuroko and Kagami both yelled and Midorima's eye twitched.
There was a significant change in Midorima's play, seen when the ball was passed to him but he didn't shoot. Kise watched this with confusion.
'This doesn't normally happen with Midorimacchi. The only reason he doesn't shoot is because he knows he has a probability of missing…'
The coach at the same time understood what was happening to Shuutoku's ace. Even he was surprised by the pass the phantom player had done.
"To think there was a way to seal Midorima." The coach pondered. "What should we do?"
"Midorimacchi's sealed?" Kise asked incredulously as Kasamatsu started to explain.
"Yeah. Because of the super long range pass Kuroko just did. Midorima uses the long time his shot spends flying to go back in defense. It has the merit of defending against counter attack. But it's not like the team is falling back. They're all staying behind, just in case they the ball misses and they need to rebound. The time it spends flying backfires in that case. If Midorima has the time to get back, so does Kagami."
Takao smirked as he spotted the aloof number 11.
"Interesting." He commented as his eyes narrowed gleefully. "It'd be a problem if he think he can stop us with something like that."
The match started once more and Takao got the ball. Izuki was fast on his feet and was ready to defend but Takao was a step ahead and tricked Izuki by pretending to pass him when he was just passing the ball to another team player instead. The ball went to Otsubo and with a dunk, Shuutoku's score went up to a five.
Izuki's eyes widened as his suspicions confirmed. 'So he does have the same ability as me. Or maybe, it's better?'
The dunk Shuutoku made didn't faze Seirin at all as Kuroko passed the ball to Mitobe and he scored. The Shuutoku coach nodded and finally made his decision.
"Kimura, Takao!" He called out and the two players looked at him. "Switch marks. And Takao, take care of number 11." Takao merely smirked.
'What are they planning?' Riko thought, her instincts telling her something was off. ' Going for such a direct way. They've got the same role in both Seirin and Shuutoku. The key to the match lies in this fight.'
Takao went up to Kuroko and spared a second to examine the smaller player. There was something definitely different about him. Terumi, who knew Takao was coming, didn't bother turning towards him and merely listened.
"Hello, Takao-kun. It seems you are marking me now." Kuroko said and Takao's smile grew wider. There was definitely something odd about him.
"Like expected." He said. "It's, like Shin-chan would put it, fate, don't you think? That I would face you and Shin-chan would face Kagami."
"What's the point? No matter how fast Takao is, it won't matter for Kuroko." Kagami told Midorima, whom he was currently marking.
"I am fully aware of Kuroko's strength. But you'll understand once you see." Midorima answered.
"You know, I didn't expect to settle this with you so quickly." Takao said and Terumi tilted her head.
"Excuse me?"
"I've been thinking ever since I met you. You and I are from the same species, don't you think?"
"What do you mean?"
"We're both freshmen, right? Passing the ball is our style, specialty, or should I say, our roles as players. What do they call it? The hatred for the same kind?" An uncomfortable aura settled in as Takao smirked.
"I don't want to lose against you!" Takao declared. "Well, kind of. It's the first time I feel something like this, though. Maybe because you're a lot different from others?"
Kuroko bowed suddenly, making Takao uncertain. "Thank you for acknowledging me. It's been the first time I've been told that so I am a bit at loss on what to say. However, with the words you just said, I might feel a similar feeling as well."
"Nice, seems like you're fired up as well." At that moment, Kuroko disappeared and Takao turned his head around to try and find him.
'That's no fair! Disappearing like that all of a sudden! It's like you have no manners at all!' Takao thought but then grinned.
"Just kidding."
Midorima saw Kuroko take the ball and shook his head. "Too bad for you, Kuroko. This is where you'll end."
Kuroko got ready to pass the ball to Hyuuga when Takao intercepted and knocked the ball away.
Seirin were all shocked at the blocked pass while Izuki just narrowed his eyes. He knew it.
The ball went out of bounds and Riko called for a time out. Kuroko walked over to Kagami. She grabbed ahold of a piece of fabric and tugged on it. Kagami, not having noticed Kuroko, jumped but then saw how small Kuroko seemed.
'Why do I feel like I'm seeing Kuroko's sister instead?' Kagami thought and then immediately discarded the preposterous idea. There was no way, no way at all.
"What's wrong, Kuroko?" He asked.
"What just happened, Kagami-kun?" Kuroko instead asked and Kagami scratched his head.
"You saw, didn't you? Takao intercepted your pass."
Kuroko was silent for a moment before nodding. "Thank you." Terumi let go and walked over to where Riko was. Midorima and Kise both clenched their fists after seeing the encounter between the two.
"He has the same ability as I, but even better. His field of vision is a lot wider. It's the hawk eye, a notch higher than my eagle eye."
Hyuuga took in the words with surprise. 'Kuroko uses his misdirection to divert others' eyes when they're looking at him. But with an ability to see everything like that of a hawk eyes', they have the ability to never look only at Kuroko. In other words, against Takao, Kuroko's misdirection won't work.' The captain thought in dismay.
"Seirin must be shocked, seeing as though they found out that their key player can be stopped like that. They must be embarrassed, too." Takao commented as he took a drink.
"Don't lose your focus. Kuroko will not be fazed that easily." Midorima retorted.
Takao's eyes narrowed. "You know, you seem to know a lot about Kuroko."
Midorima pushed his glasses up, covering his eyes. "Of course. He's my former teammate."
"Yeah, but I feel like you know more than what normal people see. Something's odd about him, I just know it."
"And what is so odd about him?"
Takao shrugged. "I don't know. It's just weird, his way of not looking at the other but knowing exactly where they are. And it's not that, it's his body language. It's not, how do I put it, technically manly, if you know what I mean."
"No, it seems I don't know what you mean." Midorima replied coldly.
"Hey, Shin-chan, you're getting a bit too defensive, aren't you?"
"I am not." Midorima said a bit too quickly. Takao's suspicions were confirmed and decided to confront him later. For now, he decided to change the topic.
"Whatever, that's not the point here. Don't worry about me, though. I can easily beat Kuroko. The moment you take his invisibility away, he's just a small fry with no powers, right?"
Midorima was quiet for a moment, taking in Takao's words, and then talked. "Do you know why I can't stand Kuroko?"
Takao tilted his head. "You can't stand him?"
Midorima nodded. "No, I can't. It's because I acknowledge him and his power. He doesn't have a single great physical ability and he can't do a single thing on his own. Yes, I understand that it's because of Kuroko's past and disability, but despite all that, he still wore the Teiko uniform and stood with us, helping us lead the team to victory. The strength Kuroko has escalated immensely to the point where even we cannot overcome it. His strength is completely different from ours. It belongs in a different world. He belongs in a different world."
"Shin-chan?" Takao asked, a bit bewildered that Midorima could express his emotions so carelessly like this. Midorima kept talking, not paying attention to Takao. It seemed like he was talking to himself now.
"Kuroko should have stayed in her world." He muttered to himself and Takao's eyes widened at the words.
'Her? Don't tell me…' Takao thought and involuntarily looked at the phantom player who was on the opposite side of the court. 'I'm going to have to examine more thoroughly, but there's no way. Absolutely no way, with the skills he has, the passes he can do... He can't be…'
"That's why I can't stand it." Midorima suddenly said aloud and Takao jumped slightly.
"What?"
"The reason why I can't stand Kuroko; that the person I acknowledge buried himself in a team that can't even make use of his full strength. That's why there is no way I can lose. I'll start playing seriously after this timeout." Midorima affirmed as the whistle blew, signifying the end of the time out. Takao stared after Midorima with doubt smearing his face.
"Kuroko can't be a girl, can he?"
"I would like to keep playing like this." Kuroko said and Riko hesitated.
"Are you sure? He's literally your natural enemy, Kuroko-kun. He's going to see everything." She explained and Kagami laughed, ruffling Kuroko's hair.
"You're not going to let him stop you like that, right?" He commented and Kuroko made a small, subtle pout.
"I guess I would not like that." Kuroko reluctantly admitted.
"Then I'm leaving it to you." Kagami grinned. "Besides, maybe I should give them my regards, too. I've got some new stuff to show them, after all."
Riko sighed. "Fine. we're leaving it to you two!" And the beep signaled the start of the game.
"So, find any solutions?" Takao approached Kuroko and asked, also taking the time to inspect him.
'Is he really a girl? I can't imagine it, with the passes I've seen so far. Can a girl be that strong? And something's gnawing at me. There's something else about this person. Didn't Shin-chan say something about a disability?' Takao's eyes widened significantly. 'Oh my god, don't tell me he has what I think he has. Who the fuck is this person?'
"I am actually still looking for it." Kuroko answered.
"What?" Takao asked, dumbfounded.
Hyuuga sighed as tiredness lurked into his system. 'Two games with two kings is really a tiring thing. We'll have to rely on Kagami and Kuroko. I really hope they have something to lead us up.'
The thought perished as Kuroko's pass was intercepted once more by Takao. Kise looked at Terumi with doubtful eyes.
'Why is she making the same mistake? What's she planning?'
"Where are you going?" Kagami asked in surprise as Midorima ran away from the basket.
"Can't you see? From now on, we're getting serious. give all you have to defend. But just know, my shooting range should not be underestimated." And to everyone's surprise, he shot the ball from the center line and the basketball made it in.
"To begin with, I don't care. My shoots are three's and yours are only worth 2. The difference will only increase."
"Bastard…" Both Hyuuga and Izuki muttered and the score was now 8 to 14 in Shuutoku's favor.
"So cocky." Kagami commented as he got the ball and Midorima got ready to defend. Before the Shuutoku player could do anything, however, Kagami already threw the ball to make a three.
"Hah? He's so bad had shooting from the outside, isn't he?" Takao remarked and Kagami took the moment of surprise to start running.
"That may be true but I don't care. If I can score that way, then so be it. If I can't, I'l just have to put the ball in the basket myself!" He proclaimed as he did a self alley-oop. Terumi's blind eyes widened behind her bangs and she felt it, the horrible feeling she had been dreading to feel ever since she met Kagami. She decided to not say anything for the moment, giving him a chance to redeem himself and merely complimented him.
"Who's the cocky one here?" Ootsubo said in annoyance but kept the play going, juking Mitobe and dunking in a flash.
"Let's get the points back!" Hyuuga shouted and the others shouted agreement. Riko looked at the captain and remembered when he was taught to shoot well under pressure.
'Thank goodness he can stay focused during the most important shoots.'
"I don't care if we're up against Kings. Just all die!" Hyuuga yelled as he made a three pointer.
Riko's face blanched. 'His character does change, though.'
"So, they're finally responding to Shuutoku's attacks. That's good to know, but the first quarter has already gone to Shuutoku, hasn't it?" Kasamatsu scrutinized while Kise just watched.
"It was a good shot, I admit it. But that is nothing." Midorima subtly smirked and the ball was passed to him while he was at the very end of the court. Even Terumi couldn't suppress her surprise and turned around to face the Shuutoku ace.
"Midorima-kun…?" She whispered and Takao tilted his head, even more suspicious now.
"I told you not to underestimate my shooting ability. You should have come to Shuutoku, Kuroko." And with that, Midorima launched the ball from the opposite side of the court and in slow motion, the ball went inside the hoop, earning Shuutoku another three points.
"My shooting range is no longer the center line. It is the whole court."
A loud beep sounded and the first quarter ended with the score 14 to 21 in Shuutoku's favor.
"Kuroko-kun, did Midorima-kun have that kind of strength in middle school?" Riko blanched.
"No, I had no knowledge. The distance I knew he could shoot was only from the half line. That would be the first he's done it from that distance." Kuroko explained.
"I'v only seen Lebron doing such things during training session, but it's unthinkable to do it in actual matches." Izuki added and Mitobe nodded solemnly.
"The Generation of Miracles really are jokes." Hyuuga sweat dropped.
"It's an impossible shot, I admit, but the game's not over yet. We'll stop Midorima-kun! Kuroko-kun, do you think you can go out once more? We need you on the court." Riko begged and Kuroko immediately nodded.
"Of course."
On the other side of the court, everyone from Shuutoku was getting really annoyed by Midorima's cocky attitude.
"Coach, for the whole 2nd quarter, let me have the ball." Midorima asked/stated and the seniors all had tick marks on them.
Miyaji, one of the more angry seniors, looked like he wanted to murder him.
"Coach," Miyaji started, "are you going to let him decide, just like that?"
Takao merely laughed his head off.
"I will smash Seirin to pulp with my own hands." Midorima asserted and coach hummed before nodding. Everyone looked shocked as the coach ordered everyone to pass the ball to Midorima.
The match started and the ball went to Midorima. This time, however, Kuroko was in defense, making Midorima hesitate. And ever so slightly, Terumi lifted her head, making her bangs part a bit and letting her eyes show. They were still blank and milky but were determined as well.
"We will win, Midorima-kun." Terumi enunciated and Midorima narrowed his eyes.
"Are you sure, Kuroko? Do you really think your blocking me will affect anything?"
Midorima passed forward and Kuroko was just about to follow when Takao got in the way and screened the teal-haired player.
"Hey, you really shouldn't do that, you know." Takao said and Terumi lowered her head, making sure her eyes weren't visible.
"You know, I've noticed that you don't even look at what's happening on the court. You can't see anything if you keep lowering your head. And yet, you seem to know everything that's happening around you. What's your secret, girl?" Takao whispered in a seductive way and Terumi's hidden eyes widened.
"Takao!" Midorima shouted and said person whipped his head to see Midorima's face radiating with anger. He had just made another three pointer against Kagami and had seen the encounter between the two.
"Shin-chan!" Takao called out rather doubtfully and walked over to him.
"Do not ever go that near to Kuroko, do you understand?" Midorima whispered fiercely and Takao swallowed.
"What are you talking about?" He feigned innocence but he knew it wasn't working. He decided to face him right on. "You're hiding something from me, about Kuroko. Shouldn't I know who I'm up against? Something's different about him and I want to know what it is."
Midorima glared at him. "It is not my place to say such a thing. if you want to know so badly, you can talk to Kuroko yourself. But for now, we are in a match and if I see you trying to pry once more in such an ungodly manner, I will not tolerate it." Midorima said coldly and went to move to defend. Takao let out a sigh he didn't know he was holding and decided that, yes, maybe Midorima was right. If he wanted to know more about Kuroko, he would just ask him about it.
Kuroko and Kagami tried to use their combination attack against Midorima but Takao interfered and the pass was blocked. Riko bit her thumb as she realized that if Takao was there, Kuroko's strategy would never work.
Midorima got ready for another shot and Kagami knew if he didn't mark him, Seirin would be finished.
"Is the best way of playing to shoot from afar?" Terumi asked while sipping her drink. It was after Teiko Middle school had ended and the Generation of Miracles decided to go to the convenience store to get some food and drinks. Terumi, Midorima, and Kise were the first ones to get out.
"I'd say it's the dunk!" Kise answered enthusiastically. "It's the technique and its image that makes it the best move, don't you think?"
"That's not good." Midorima interrupted. "it's best to make points from the 3-point line. every time you score, you get three points."
"Midorima-kun, for such a smart person, you are very dumb." Terumi bluntly stated and Midorima blanched.
"How? If you compare 2 points to 3, 3 points are always the best!" Midorima defended hastily.
"it's the simple truth." Midorima said after settling down. "Sooner or later, I'll prove it to you."
"Is that so?" Terumi said in monotone and went silent.
And as time passed, Midorima's shots only increased. Kagami got more and more frustrated, seeing the ball go inside every time. His shots were too high, and he knew that because the air time was so long, it would get on everyone's nerves.
'If this continues, our spirits will completely break.'
"He's strong. Really strong." Kagami muttered and then started laughing, surprising Hyuuga and Kuroko.
Kise, who had been watching the red head, figured it out.
'He still hasn't found his limits. From now on, his secret will begin to reveal itself. Kagamicchi will surely surprise everyone.'
The second quarter ended and a 10 minute break ensured.
In Shuutoku's locker room, everyone was getting ready for the next two quarters.
"You've done a decent job, so it's not bad, but it's not that good either. You're opponent hasn't given up yet. Finish them! That's all I have to say."
"Hey, Shin-chan, did you hear the coach? What are you doing?" Takao asked, seeing Midorima with a nail file.
"Can't you tell? I'm obviously filing my nails. My shot touch can be affected if my nails are bad. You heard the coach. He said to finish them, right? I will make sure of that."
"Sure you will." Takao said sarcastically while rolling his eyes.
"Are you implying something here?"
Takao looked around and gestured Midorima to follow him outside. Midorima raised his eyebrow before following him.
Takao crossed his arms. "You know what I mean. I know. I mean, I know I'm not the brightest crayon in the pile but even I can tell what Kuroko really is. My hawk eye is not as dull as you think it is. And by the looks of it, you have the hots for her."
Midorima spluttered. "What?"
"See? You make it so obvious, it wasn't hard to figure out. Look, I'm not going to pry so much into it because I barely even know her, but there's something else that's bugging me, and my curiosity won't settle, you know that."
"Unfortunately, I do know that."
"You know I'll find out sooner or later."
"Then you do that, but you will never get it out of me. Yes, your finding out about Kuroko's sex was my fault. I was pondering too deeply to think about my words, but the other secret is something you can never know. Even you won't be able to find out from her."
"Oh? Do you underestimate my skill?"
"No, I don't. But I know for a fact that you won't be able to know. I'm assuming that you already figured out her other secret."
"I'm doing my best to confirm it. For the moment, I'm still suspicious. I need concrete evidence."
Midorima nodded. "The fact still remains. You won't be able to know."
"And how will I not know if she's blind or not? I can just see her eyes, right?"
"That is something you will have to find out for yourself."
Takao hesitated. "Shin-chan, is she not blind from birth?" Takao's eyes widened when Midorima said nothing.
"How? What happened?" He whispered and Midorima shook his head.
"It is something I cannot say. It is her secret and I will keep it."
"Then, I'll just have to ask her myself." Takao said in confidence.
"You will not be able to."
Takao pouted. "And why not?"
"Because she does not remember the incident herself."
Seirin's locker room was silent. Riko looked at the players with worried eyes.
'What should I do? I've got to lift their spirits before they leave this room.'
"Hey, guys?" Riko asked cautiously but Hyuuga stopped her.
"It's alright, coach! we know that whatever you're going to say will be dumb, so quit it while your ahead."
Then, Hyuuga thought. 'We know you're trying to cheer us up, but honestly, I don't know how we can.'
"Eh? What are you talking about, Kuroko? A blind spot?" Izuki accidentally said aloud and the others faced the two curiously.
"What do you mean?" Hyuuga asked and Kuroko shook his head.
"It is nothing. It was just a thought. But I think I have found something."
"Then that's good. Right, just go after the ball and don't think about what happens in the end!" Hyuuga declared and everyone nodded with a shout of agreement.
The third quarter started and Kise saw that they benched Terumi.
"While Takao's still on the court, they can't use him to his fullest." Kasamatsu explained.
"So they still haven't figured how to counter Shuutoku, huh…"
'And I thought Kuroko would be in the court longer. With now look in their eyes I can tell that they still haven't given up.' Takao thought as he marked Izuki.
Midorima looked strangely at Kagami and felt a chill. 'He hasn't given up either. But more than that, he feels strange. It feels so familiar but I don't know what it is.'
The ball launched up and and Kagami passed it to Hyuuga, who got the ball but immediately lost it when Miyaji pushed it out. It went to Midorima and he immediately got ready to shoot. However, just as he released, Kagami had already jumped and was so close to touching the ball. The ball went in and Midorima looked at Kagami, who was, at this point, concentrating immensely.
Riko looked at Kagami with surprise and even Terumi twitched.
'Higher. I need to be higher.' Kagami thought angrily and the match began once more with Midorima and the ball once more.
'You certainly won't give up until the very end, but if you try your best and lose, you just have to accept it. I enjoy playing with extremely formidable opponents but I can't back off until I game has no meaning if I don't win!'
Kagami jumped and his finger touched the ball ever so slightly. Midorima saw this with shock and he deemed it impossible.
'He can jump higher and higher as the match goes?' Midorima thought and the ball went round the hoop before uncertainly falling through the basket.
"That was so close!" Takao commented. "It's my first time seeing Shin-chan barely able to score."
'Yes! We've found out chance!' Riko thought but a strange feeling pooled her gut.
'When did I become so weak? When I rewinded the match against Kise and I won, I realized that it was only because of Kuroko. I can't win alone. That became a fact when we just barely won. It was okay in the beginning since we won the match, but if Kuroko wasn't there to set the flow…
'If one day, there comes a time when Kuroko's power can't be used, will that be the day I lose? I don't want to. No, I can't lose! I can't just depend on Kuroko and the seniors to win for me. I've got to become strong, strong enough to not depend on others! I need to be strong enough to win alone!'
Terumi knew what she was feeling when Kagami and Midorima had another one-on-one. Takao screened at the last second and Midorima moved further away from the ball, but Kagami wasn't fazed. He easily passed him and went to Midorima, jumping immediately and touching the ball once more.
"I found your weakness, Midorima. The father you shoot, the longer it takes for you to start the shot!" Kagami shouted and Midorima's eyes widened as the ball hit the ring and bounced off.
"He finally stopped Midorima!" Seirin shouted with glee but Ootsubo was at the hoop and dunked the ball in before anyone could celebrate more.
The match kept going and this time, when Midorima got the ball, he made sure to be closer to the hoop. Takao watched and was confident that Midorima would make it in, but then hesitated.
Kise watched Kagami, remembering what had happened in the practice match. 'I saw his potential when he did that alley-oop at the last second of the match. It was a power comparable to that of the Generation of Miracles, something that can be called the greatest weapon in basketball. His talent is an extremely gifted jumping power!'
Everyone in Shuutoku saw with immense shock as Kagami shut down Midorima by jumping higher and knocking the ball out of Midorima's hands.
And as the time kept ticking, Kagami kept jumping and blocking, his eyes fierce with determination.
'I'll win, even if I'm alone!' He stressed as he wiped sweat off his face.
"Kagami's so awesome!" Furihata yelled enthusiastically. "As long as he have him we can -"
"Really?" Terumi cut in and Furihata looked at her curiously.
"Huh? What's wrong?"
"If we let this go on," Terumi said, "I cannot imagine what will happen in the future."
Kagami passed Midorima and Midorima flinched seniors of Shuutoku watched in awe and wonder. They've never seen this, even in nationwide competitions. The sort of jumping Kagami did defied all common sense, and yet, here he was, doing just that.
Kagami jumped high and surpassed Ootsubo with ease. The audience yelled in amazement while Seirin merely sweat-dropped.
Koganei went up to Kagami. "That was so awesome. Can you pass the ball more, too?" He asked but hesitated at Kagami's look.
"No, I'll score alone."
The score was 45 to 56 in Shuutoku's favor but Seirin was rising fast because of Kagami. Shuutoku's coach examined Kagami intensely and decided that there was to be no change in the plan. He could see it. Kagami's time was almost up.
Kagami's jumps were mesmerizing, it was almost like he was floating in the air. He scored a two pointer and the score difference reduced to a single digit.
Kagami and Midorima were in another one-on-one and Midorima figured it out, just as the coach had.
"I recognize your ability, Kagami. But I won't let you go further than this." Midorima asserted and Kagami panted, contorting his face in confusion.
"What?"
Midorima jumped to make a basket. Kagami was ready to jump as well but his legs stopped at the last second, his calves twitching furiously. Seirin watched Kagami's sudden stop with unease and Riko knew what happened.
'But it's too early! He couldn't have!' Riko thought furiously.
"Exhaustion?" Kise exclaimed and Kasamatsu nodded solemnly.
"Most likely. He probably can't take sustained jumps like that. Just now, he tried to fight all this alone. Besides, even if they substituted him half way, the flow would only break. It's their second match, isn't it? Seirin's in big trouble. It's not only Kagami who's tired, it's everyone else as well."
"Shut up!" Kagami yelled and ran towards Midorima, who was running to make a dunk. "I won't stand this!"
"Kagami, stop! You're being too rash!" Hyuuga shouted after him but Kagami didn't listen and before he knew it, he got a foul and Shuutoku still got the points.
"Shit!" Kagami growled and Terumi could only grimace.
The third quarter ended, and by that time, rain had started pouring outside.
The players went to their respective benches and Kagami huffed to regain his breath. Hyuuga and Izuki sat next to him.
"Kagami, don't get worked up like that! Cool down!" Izuki said.
"Yeah." Hyuuga added. "You should've seen that wasn't the time to attack! You should've thought about it more carefully and -"
"So what if I don't pass and wait!" Kagami cut off and Hyuuga raised his eyebrow in annoyance.
"Ha?"
"Look, right now, I'm the only one on par with Shuutoku. What we need right now isn't teamwork, it's my scoring!" Kagami claimed.
"What? Are you mad? There's not way you can go against all of them yourself!" Everyone protested but it looked like Kagami wasn't listening. Then, Kuroko walked in front of Kagami, silent and unwavering.
Kagami lifted his head to see what was wrong and before anyone could process it, Kuroko slapped Kagami hard.
There was a moment of silent for everyone to understand what just happened and Kagami reacted first by grabbing Kuroko by the collar and lifting him up.
"Kagami-kun, let go of Kuroko-kun!" Riko tried to intervene but Kagami wasn't listening.
"What the fuck?" Kagami yelled but it didn't faze Kuroko the least.
"Basketball is not a one-man sport!" Kuroko yelled back, louder than anyone ever heard him talk.
"You mean you'll let it rest if you lose as long as everyone else enjoys playing? There's no meaning unless we win!" Kagami shouted back.
"But there's not meaning if you win alone! You said you wanted to defeat the Generation of Miracles. But now, you're just thinking like them! And even if we defeat Shuutoku 'your way', no one will be happy!"
"Don't talk like you know everything! If we lose, that'll just be some feel-good trash! I would fucking know! I've been in that kind of situation before!" And Kagami did one of the most rashest things he ever did.
He punched Kuroko in the jaw.
Everyone gasped in shock and Riko immediately ran over to Terumi to check the injury Kagami had inflicted on her.
"Kuroko-kun, are you ok?" Riko asked worriedly but it looked like Terumi wasn't listening. She lifted her head a bit and Riko got to see her eyes for moment, and they seemed dazed. Then, they hardened and she lowered her head once more.
"Kagami!" Someone behind them roared and Kagami turned around to see Midorima's infuriated face. The Shuutoku player grabbed Kagami by the collar.
"How dare you hit your own teammate? Someone who's not even twice your size?" Midorima growled and Kagami didn't hesitate to reply?
"Hah? Why the fuck are you here interrupting? Go back to your fucking side, grass head!"
"In that case, what is victory?" A voice cut the two off and both aces looked at Kuroko. Midorima's eyes immediately softened while Kagami's stayed angry. Terumi stood up carefully and held her stinging cheek.
"Kuroko, are you ok?" Midorima rushed to her and she nodded.
"Midorima-kun, you should go."
"But he punched you." Midorima glared and Terumi shook her head.
"I am fine. Go back to your team. We need to settle this between Seirin and Seirin only. Go." Terumi said and Midorima reluctantly agreed.
"Fine, but I will not forget this." Midorima warned before leaving.
"Kise?" Kasamatsu asked hesitantly, seeing Kise's clenched fists and his solemn look.
"I'm going to murder him. I'm murdering Kagamicchi." He muttered and Kasamatsu looked at his kouhai with confusion.
"Back at the court, Terumi took a deep breath, doing her best to not show pain on her face.
"Even if you have a higher sore than the opponent when the final whistle blows, if there's no one happy about it, is it really victory?" She asked and she felt the shift of Kagami's footsteps.
"Well… no. No, I guess not... I'm sorry. It'll be much better if we win this together." Kagami finally understood and everyone smiled at him.
"Sorry for punching you, Kuroko."
"I apologize for slapping you."
"No, you did what you had to. But I never would have thought Midorima would come all the way here to check on you. Just what was your relationship with the Generation of Miracles?" Kagami asked and Kuroko shrugged.
"it is complicated." Kagami looked like he wanted to ask more but Hyuuga cut in.
"Ok, so Kagami's cooled down thanks to Kuroko, but our situation on the court hasn't changed. Any ideas?"
"I have one that might work." Kuroko said and they all looked at the phantom player. "I can only pass around, but there's on more level on top of that."
And with that, Kuroko explained the plan and got ready to go into the court.
"Kurokocchi's up again! I hope the punch didn't hurt too much." Kise said worriedly.
"He's a guy. He can take it." Kasamatsu replied.
"Yeah, a guy." Kise muttered and Kasamatsu's eyebrow raised in suspicion.
"Hey there, back again, aren't you?" Takao confronted Kuroko and the player, in turn, nodded.
The play began and this time, Kagami wasn't working alone.
"It looks like Kuroko was able to cool you down. The punch was unnecessary, though." Midorima said as he defended against Kagami.
"Yeah, I wasn't thinking right at the time. But I never would have imagined you to come and check up on him."
"Naturally, I have to check on those who have been inflicted with pain. Do you realize how much power you put to have Kuroko's cheek so red like that?" At that, Kagami flinched subtly.
"I get it, so just shut up."
Midorima harrumphed. "In any case, it doesn't matter that you are no longer working alone. You hardly have any strength left." Midorima said as the ball went to him. "You can't stop me anymore."
"You're right, I'm nearing exhaustion. But I still something left in me!"
"You had a new pass? Why did you keep it until now?" Hyuuga asked.
"Only a selected few can catch it, but I believe that Kagami-kun can be one of those people."
"But we can't rely only on Kuroko's pass if the only one who can receive it is Kagami. There's got to be normal passing too, but it might be difficult with Takao on the court." Hyuuga said and Izuki patted Hyuuga's back.
"Ah, I think Takao's threat will be solve soon. Right, Kuroko?" Kuroko nodded. "Even my sight is getting undone!"
Riko inspected Kagami's legs immediately.
"Kagami-kun, your numbers are extremely low. You can jump twice at most. After those two jumps, it'll take a lot of effort for you to even stand. One chance to be used for an important shot, and the second to stop the shot of Midorima-kun during the first fourth quarter!"
Kagami remembered as he knocked the ball out of Midorima's hand.
"What?" Midorima shouted in shock. 'He should be exhausted by now! How can he still jump?'
"Now, the only one to bet on is Kuroko-kun." Riko said as everyone on Seirin focused on the phantom player.
"Looks like they have great expectations of you. But whatever you come up with, I'll stop you!" Takao declared. "You can't escape my hawk eye!"
"A blind spot, right?" Hyuuga whispered to Izuki and Izuki smiled.
"No, just limit the view to not have it at 100%. Takao's hawk eye can make him 'see' the full court situation at all times He can keep on watching Kuroko even when his attention is lured away by other events.
"If Kuroko doesn't try to misdirect Takao's attention elsewhere but purposely draws attention to himself, the view narrows and he can escape!" Izuki explained enthusiastically and at that moment, Kuroko disappeared.
Takao grew shocked as he lost his mark.
"He's not here? How?" Takao exclaimed in panic. 'Calm down! Even if I lose track of Kuroko, I know where Kagami is! Just get in between the ball and Kagami and I'll cut their passes!' He thought and rushed over to where Kagami was.
"You are wrong, Takao-kun." Kuroko said and Takao's eyes widened as Kuroko got into a new form. "While all the previous passes were just changing directions, this pass accelerates."
Kuroko pushed the ball with the palm of his hand and it passed Takao before he could extend his arm all the way. The ball went straight to Kagami and he caught it easily. He got ready to dunk when suddenly, Midorima came in front of him.
"I'll absolutely stop you!" Midorima yelled and Kagami knew he shouldn't have made the second jump now. But he also knew that if he didn't do it here, he would never figure out when. With a passionate shout, he jumped and dunked over Midorima.
'Kagami finally surprised Midorimacchi. But more surprising is the pass Kurokocchi did. That pass could only be used for the Generation of Miracles!'
"That dunk may be a good thing for Seirin." Kasamatsu noted. "It brings energy to the whole team's play. That's a fine play that score alone can't bring."
"Hey, Kuroko?" Kagami walked beside him and Kuroko titled his head slightly.
"Kagami-kun?"
"I don't want to admit it, but just like the coach predicted, there's no way for me to jump anymore. I'll mark Midorima as long as I can but, as much as I hate to say this, I'm going have to depend on you." Kagami said dejectedly but have Kuroko a ruffle. Terumi stopped walking and determination spread across her face.
"Of course." She asserted.
A prestigious school, Touou academy, was best known for a basketball powerhouse. The gym was silent and empty except for a student taller than average, twirling a basketball with his finger.
"God, I'm tired. I don't wanna move, or do anything. I wanna have bread and everything." He drawled lazily and the door opened.
"You're here!" A female voice exclaimed. "Aomine-kun!"
"Hah?" The student, now known as Aomine, expressed unenthusiastically.
"I knew you were pretending to be sick to skip the matches again!" The female voice angrily.
"I said they would win anyways! Don't trouble me!"
"Ah!" The female suddenly clapped her hands while holding a popsicle with her teeth. "I completely forgot but Tetsu-chan must be fighting Midorin right now!"
"And?"
"Mou, Aomine-kun. I'm trying to ask you who's going to win. I'll obviously be with Tetsu-chan!"
"Satsuki, you're too loud."
"Momoi! You have to call me Momoi or else people are going to talk!" Momoi Satsuki, a pink haired beauty, said. "Are you even listening?"
"Hah?"
The score was now 74 to 78 and Seirin was only 4 points away from tying.
"I didn't think you'd make it this far, Kuroko." Midorima expressed.
"Do you remember, Midorima-kun? You used to tell us that a dunk was just a two-point shot. I wish I still had sight to see your amazing three-points. Judging by the audience, they really must be amazing." Kuroko said in monotone but there was a hint of nostalgia in it. Midorima pushed his glasses up to hide his embarrassment.
"But that dunk encouraged us to go on." Kuroko continued. "An invaluable shot that cannot be measured in points."
"Hey, Satsuki?"
"Just tell me who you think's going to win!"
"I can't. We won't know until it's over. Both teams are strong during crunch time. We didn't take that national championship three times in a row for nothing. And besides, that no name school has Tetsu. I doubt Shuutoku's going to have an easy time."
With three minutes left on the clock, no team was backing down. Now that Kagami was at his limit, Shuutoku was focusing their passes on Midorima, giving Kuroko freebies to steal. Even then, however, no school wanted to yield. Every second was precious after all.
Both Midorima and Hyuuga made a three pointer, and there was only 15 seconds left on the clock. Then, Hyuuga did something amazing.
He ran to the center line and as the ball pass to him, he shot the ball and like a miracle, it went in, making the score 82 to 81 in Seirin's favor.
With only a few seconds left, it seemed like Shuutoku had lost but Takao got the ball and passed to Midorima with a smirk on his face.
"it's not over yet!"
"I'll tell you why I excelled even from the furthest possible distance." Midorima said as he bent down to make the shot. "In basketball, any misstep in shooting may cause major regrets. I, for one, never let this happen! I trained myself to excel as the buzzer beater!"
"No!" Riko yelled and Kagami knew he had to do something. Three seconds left on the clock and everyone was exhausted. Midorima got ready to shoot and Kagami realized that he had to exceed his limits, even at the cost of his own legs.
With a shout, Kagami jumped, surprising everyone except Midorima.
"As expected. No matter how tired you were, I knew you would make the jump." Midorima said and Seirin realized Midorima's fake.
"I believed in you, too, Kagami-kun. And I also knew that Midorima-kun would believe in it, too." Terumi whispered and just as Midorima was about to stand up, Terumi flicked the ball away from Midorima's hands. The last few seconds ticked away and soon enough, a buzz rang through the stadium.
"End of the match!" The referee called out and Seirin all jumped in ecstasy, hugging both Kagami and Kuroko.
"82 point to 81 points - the winner of this game is Seirin High!" The referee shouted and everyone yelled a "Thank you!"
"Excuse me, I'll go out for a while." Midorima said while everyone else was crying.
"Does he have no feelings at all?" Aa benchwarmer asked and Takao sighed.
"No, it's not that. There's no way for anybody to get sad over a defeat like this."
"Takao, go after him. Make sure he doesn't do anything stupid." The coach ordered and Takao nodded.
"Will do."
Midorima walked outside in the pouring rain and went over the match that had just finished. He was thankful that there was rain because he could cry while nobody was suspecting anything.
"Midorima-kun?" A voice called out and he turned around to see Terumi.
"Kuroko, what are you doing here? You'll get sick getting wet like this." Midorima said as he rushed over to her. He took off his jersey and put it on top of Terumi's head.
"And you, Midorima-kun? Will you not get sick as well?"
"At the moment, I don't seem to care." Midorima shrugged and the two stood in silence for a second.
"It was a good match." Midorima said, breaking the silence.
"It was. I enjoyed it very much."
"Is that so?"
"Midorima-kun?"
"Yes, Kuroko?"
"Remember when we were in middle school and you asked me why I didn't touch your face while I touched Aomine-kun's?"
Midorima spluttered. "Why are you bringing that up now? It's been ages. And besides, you never did do that to me, even when middle school ended and we went to high school."
"I apologize greatly if I hurt your feelings Midorima-kun. You must have thought that I didn't trust you enough to ask such a thing."
Midorima said nothing and Terumi moved in front of him. Midorima looked at her curiously and Terumi lifted her face, revealing her milky eyes and a small smile on her face.
"Would you mind if I touched your face now?"
Midorima's breaths hitched and before he could process it, he grabbed Terumi's hand and guided it to his face. Both said nothing as Terumi started touching his face slowly, making sure to get all the details.
When she got his eyes, she gasped subtly.
"What's wrong?" MIdorima asked uncertainly and Terumi shook her head.
"You must have such beautiful eyes, Midorima-kun. I am jealous." Terumi explained and with that, she let her hand dropped. There was a silence before Midorima broke it once more.
"Thank you, Kuroko."
"For what?"
"For trusting me. Now go, your team must be looking for you, and if you stay here longer, you'll definitely get a cold."
Terumi nodded and returned the jersey to him.
"Thank you, too, Midorima-kun."
"For what?"
"For letting me feel the past you." Terumi bowed and ran to get back inside. Midorima sighed, unable to let Terumi's touch go, and slid against the wall. Takao watched silently before leaving.
I hope you all liked this chapter!
We got a little MidoKuro here but don't worry, it's not really going to be a romance story. A bit of an implied harem but that's pretty much it.
Who knew trying to write an entire match in one chapter would be so long? Over 10,000 words and you guys wonder why it took so long to write :)
Please leave a review to tell me what you think :)
Next will not be a KnB story but a writing prompt request (surprised gasps everywhere). I recently got a PM asking me for this and because it was the first time I received such a thing, I couldn't say no (never could anyways). It will be a Parasyte story but that's beyond the point. If any of you want me to write something for you, don't hesitate to ask. I'll reply immediately and will probably say yes :)
Peace,
