Chapter Seven

Klaus pov

Standing in the garden painting I hear laughter. Children's laughter to be precise. Curiosity gets the better of me knowing it was my own children's laughter. With my vampire speed I speed off into the direction of the laughter. There in the cottage garden I see them both chasing one another. The little girl seemed to have speed on her side as she chased her brother around the garden and pounced on him. I suddenly notice Daisy talking with Alisha and listen in on their conversation.

"Oh my Daisy. Did you see what she did?" Alisha asks going up to my daughter and picking her up from my son. My son shocked burst into tears.

"No what?" Daisy asks comforting the boy.

"She used super speed to catch her brother." Alisha smiles at her hugging the little girl.

"But that's impossible she's not a hybrid. She's human."

"I know. But what if because her father is a hybrid she has gained some of his strengths."

"What about Connor though?" Daisy asks not sure how to feel about this. Hearing her call my son Connor I smile likening the name she chose for him.

"Well I have no idea. I guess we will have to wait and see."

"They are only four what if they crave blood." Daisy asks freaking out.

"Daisy they won't crave blood they are human too don't forget." Laughs Alisha thinking Daisy can come out with some funny comments sometimes. "Now Esme you must be more careful with your brother." I also smile at the name Esme too thinking Daisy did good there too. I stare at Daisy thinking she's much more beautiful then I remember her to be. I suddenly hear Rebekah's voice in the distance and head back to the house not wanting her to find me here. Last thing I needed her to think was that I changed my mind about them.

Daisy's pov

One night in the middle of the night there is a knock at the cottage door. I hear Alisha's bedroom door open and head down. I climb out of my bed and creep out my door to take a look wondering who it could be.

"Hello there. My car has broken down. I don't suppose you can help me can you?" A man's voice asks.

"Um I'm no good with cars I'm afraid. I could ask someone from the main house to help you. Why don't you come in for the moment?" I hear Alisha say. I grew scared that she asked him inside as he could be anyone like a serial killer or something. Alisha didn't seem scared though maybe she knew she could handle him if he was one.

"Okay thank you. That would be good." The man says stepping inside the house. I manage to get a peek of him. He's young in his 20's. Medium build with short brown hair wearing jeans and a top with a jacket. I then hear Alisha on the phone to someone to come and help the man. I wondered if she called Klaus. Soon after another knock happened. Alisha answers it.

"Hey Sid this the gentleman that needs your help." Alisha says to Sid.

"Wow that was fast. Thanks so much. My names Dillon." The man says to Sid and Alisha.

"Sid and this is Alisha." Sid reply's to Dillon.

"Cool."

"Where about your car?" Sid asks.

"Just out by the road. I can show it to you." Dillon says. They then both head outside to the car. Meanwhile I decide to make my way downstairs to Alisha.

"What's going on?" I ask her.

"Some guy's car broke down. Sid is helping him." Alisha explains to me.

"Oh right." I say heading into the kitchen to get myself a drink.

Suddenly Sid comes back in with Dillon.

"Can't get it to work so he's going to ring for someone to come out in morning. He's got nowhere to go so would you be comfortable offering him to stay here the night?" Sid asks Alisha.

"Yes course. I will go up and make the guest room up." She says doing just that.

"Sid what if he's a serial killer?" I ask fear growing the best of me again.

"Daisy trust he's a sound guy okay. He don't seem dangerous. Plus can't leave him outside not with Klaus around." He says to me. I think for a moment.

"Fine but he better not try anything." I say taking a sip of my drink.

Dillon then enters the house.

"Alisha says its fine for you to stay here the night. She's getting your room ready for you." Sid tells him.

"Thanks. So kind of you both." He says then spots me.

"Hey I'm Dillon." He smiles.

"Hi Daisy." I say smiling slightly back still unsure.

"Nice name." He says to me.

"Thanks." I then head into the living room.

Alisha comes down.

"I will show you to your room. If you would like a drink and something to eat after just help yourself." Alisha says leading him up the stairs.

"Thanks so kind of you to let me stay here." Dillon says to her as he follows her up.

Meanwhile Sid stands in the doorway of the living room watching me.

"So how you been?" He asks me.

"Fine thank you." I reply.

"Cool. Well my work here is done. I best be off. See you Daisy. Take care." Sid says before leaving.

"Bye." I whisper.

I then head up to bed.

The next morning I hear Dillon on the phone to someone about fixing his car. Alisha is cooking breakfast. I head downstairs. The twins are already up eating their breakfast.

"Morning." I smile at them.

"Morning mummy." They chorus while eating their rice krispies.

"Mummy who's that man?" Connor asks looking towards Dillon who is still on the phone.

"That's just someone who needed help with his car has it broke down."

"Oh." He says continuing with eating his breakfast.

Dillon enters the room after talking to whoever on his phone.

"That was the garage. They are sending someone out to look at the car." He tells me.

"Oh good." I say not knowing what else to say.

"Whose are these kids?" He asks looking at the twins.

"Those are mine."

"You look too young to have kids."

"What does that matter?" I say as Alisha appears in the doorway.

"Hey Dillon did you manage to get hold of anyone at the garage?" She asks him.

"Yes they are sending someone out."

"Would you like some breakfast?" She asks him.

"Yes please that would be great." He says sitting himself at the table next to Connor. Connor looks at him and gives him a slight smile.

"Hey buddy what's your name?" Dillon asks.

"Connor." Connor replies.

"And I'm Esme." Esme pipes up with milk on her chin.

"Pleasure to meet you Esme." Dillon says.

Meanwhile.

"He seems a really nice guy." Alisha whispers to me as I stood watching Dillon with the twins.

"Guess so."

"You know I could ask him to be our handy man."

"Why?"

"Because it would be nice to have him around. He's great with the kids." I thought about this for a moment thinking maybe it would be good to have a man around the place. It made me think though that maybe Alisha quite liked the look of him too.

"Okay fine ask him."

"Fine I will." She says going over to Dillon. "Would you consider being our handy man/ gardener?" She asks him.

Dillon looked shocked. "Yeh okay I could do with the extra cash." He grins.

"That's brilliant. How about you start tomorrow."

"Tomorrow would be great but only thing is I have to look for a place to live."

"Oh right well how about you live here with us?" Alisha asks going that one step further. I look at her in shock wondering what she is thinking.

"Thank you so much. That would be great." Dillon smiles thrilled.

So do you think Dillon is who he says he is? Or do you think he has a hidden motive? Only time will tell.
