Chapter 7 – Into the Gardens of the Hāto-jō."

Vegeta seemed to have forgotten about the cake Goku gave him, as he walked among the gardens trying to get to the castle at a normal size. He kept thinking that things would be easier if he could control his ki, but since he couldn't there was no point in wishing. Although, this did bring the thought of the Dragon Balls to mind. He felt that he had spent too much time looking and so he decided to tear down the hedges. This resulted in a lot of scratches; as the hedges had thorns in, but Vegeta finally got to the centre. He had to hide behind a fountain as some guards were on patrol. Vegeta finally thought of the cake but to his anger; he had lost it and he used the rest of the mushroom to get there. He could've yelled but that would have given him away. So he had to result to other means. When he was sure that the guards had gone he made a move. But, the castle was bolted from the front and there was no way to climb up. Yet another burst of anger came from Vegeta. He roamed around the gardens some more, annoyed and full of anger. He thought about demanding to be let in; but what would be the point. No ki and no means of escape. He sat under a rose bush in the garden and thought about how he was going to do this impossible task. He lost his train of thought as he heard a sound behind him, he jolted round. No one in sight.
"Shit... if I get caught now..." said Vegeta urgently to himself and he stood up to try and get out of there. It was then when he felt a blow to the back. The impact sent him straight down, face first on his face. He stood up as the pain surged through his back making him wince in pain. He turned to face the attacker; a man wearing a red ninja looking outfit, hearts patterned on the black boots. The man wore a mask but it was obvious to Vegeta who this represented.
"That three eyed freak!" he muttered, as his back let through another surge of pain.

Tien (I'll keep calling him Tien because there's not really another name for him) glared up at him, annoyed that he wasn't able to hit his target and knock him out.
"You're one stubborn little bastard aren't you? Why don't you just give up?"
Vegeta clenched his fists and snarled at Tien, "You're the stubborn one... It'll be easier for you if you just leave"
Tien didn't look like he was going to give up and immediately attacked Vegeta head on. He tried to land a punch to the Prince's face but Vegeta swiftly ducked and swiped his leg, knocking Tien off balance. The 'ninja' fell to the ground. Vegeta landed blow after blow of punches and kicks to the fallen Tien. It didn't take long for Tien to land back. He grabbed Vegeta's arm as he went to land another punch and kicked him in the stomach. Vegeta lost air and almost collapsed. He gasped for breath and staggered back; desperately grasping his stomach, his face displaying great pain. Tien didn't let him recover; he dashed up to him and landed a devastating hit to the face. Vegeta hit the floor, his face dragging across the gravel on the path, muffling his cry. He seemed weaker than usual; he didn't like this at all. No ki and hardly any strength; he didn't feel much like a warrior anymore. He tried to get back onto his feet. He felt the blood trickle down his face and he could taste the blood in his mouth after his impact with the ground. He felt weak, helpless, enraged. This rage seemed to snap something in him and before he knew it he was in control of the situation. He had Tien on the floor his hand around his neck, his teeth clenched. The blood dripped onto his hand. Tien was looking up at him, an expression of fear and anger on his face.
"What'll you do with me?" he said quietly "Kill me?"
Vegeta looked at him for some time, deciding whether he should finish him or not. A quick snap of the neck or some pressure and it'd be over. But something had changed in Vegeta; he had become more merciful since his first visit to Earth. The love of his family had changed him. He let go of Tien's neck and glared down at him.
"I should kill you, but today I'm feeling merciful. You won't be so lucky next time our paths cross."
He turned away. He half wondered what had happened; all his strength and power seemed to return to him in that split second. And that was all he needed to change the situation. He felt proud of himself. Tien sat up holding his neck, he felt enraged; his shame in being defeated by a mere outsider. Vegeta started to walk off; trying to find a way in, looking high and low determining whether he should climb the towers or not. His thoughts were cut short as something hit his neck, piercing it. He glanced to his side to see Tien holding a needle of some sort; the point deep in Vegeta's neck. His sight started to blur and he knew at that moment he had been drugged. He dropped to the floor as his eyesight was engulfed in darkness.

Hatter-Goku and the others stood before the White Queen's throne. The Queen herself, sitting elegantly upon it. She looked at the trio before her and spoke.
"What do you want Hatter?" she said sternly "I am a busy woman, we have heard news of an outsider and if we are to fulfil this prophecy we need to get to him, or her, as soon as we can. Before the Red Queen does."
Hatter-Goku gulped, being in her presence made him a little nervous and he still had an important question to ask her. He knew it wasn't the time for that so he gathered up his courage.
"That's what we want to talk to you about. We've seen the outsider, but the knave has one of our friends. The cat, we call him Trunks now... The outsider has gone to get him back."
The Queen rose abruptly from her throne, a panicked expression came upon her face, "Well get them back, or else Wonderland is finished! Now go!"

They didn't have to be asked twice...
