A/N: Guess who's back, back, back, back again, gain, gain. Anyway, what is up my people, I'm back with a new chapter so enjoy.
The next morning
"Marinette! Wake up!" Marinette woke up to Carly jumping on her bed and more specifically her. "We got things to meet, places to see, and people to do… Wait a second…" There was a silence between them then the two girls started laughing hysterically.
"You're such an idiot." Marinette said through her laughter. The sound of knocks at their door caused their hysterical laughter to shrink to minor chuckles. Carly got off the bed and opened the door to see Thomas and Dylan standing there, still in their pjs.
"What's going on in here? We heard squealing." Dylan said as he walked into the room and face planted on the empty bed.
"Carly was just being an idiot." Marinette said from under the blankets of her bed. Thomas smiled as he walked over to the other side of the bed, pulled back the blankets and slide in next to her. She gasped as his cold hands wrapped around her and pulled her closer to him. "You are freezing."
"Exactly. I need something to keep me warm." He laughed.
"Hey! Keep your hands to yourself." Carly said as she laid back down on her bed.
"Carly, hush." Marinette scolded her friend before snuggling into Thomas' chest.
"Don't you hush me. I'm in charge of your wellbeing and I'm not fond of this public display of affection." Carly huffed as she pulled out her Macbook.
"Public display of… We're in our room!" Marinette tried to make sense of what her friend had just said.
"How late did you two stay up?" Dylan asked as he wiggled his way up to Carly and wrapped an arm around his girlfriend's shoulder.
"Three am." Marinette said and glared at Carly, who just shrugged her shoulders as she looked at her computer.
"That makes sense." Dylan said. "You know, better than anyone, what she gets like when she doesn't get a lot of sleep." Marinette nodded and rubbed her eyes.
"And you know what I get like when I don't get a lot of sleep." Marinette said.
"Crazy sarcastic if I remember correctly." Thomas said as he sat up and leaned on the headboard.
"Hey M. What did you gets from Parks on your interpretive piece?" Carly puzzled, not lifting her head from the screen.
"I got an 89 out 90. Why?" Marinette responded as she sat up and copied Thomas' position.
"I got an 88. What got me two points docked?" Carly shot that question question to no one in particular as she closed her laptop and lean against Dylan's chest.
"You missed two steps in your reverse tumble. Other than that, you were perfect." Marinette explained as she put her hair up in a messy bun and ran her hands over her face to get the sleepy look off her face.
"What got you docked?"
"He never gives anyone a perfect score, because nothing is perfect." Carly nodded and snuggled into Dylan's chest as her eyes closed. After a few minutes of lolly-gagging in bed and talking, the four decided to get dressed and get on with their day. Once they were all done, they met in the hallway and they realize that Thomas and Marinette were wearing the same t-shirt from their showcase a few months earlier.
"It scares me how in sync you two are." Carly said as she took Dylan's hand in one hand and her luggage in the other and began walking down the hallway. Marinette laughed as she put on a black and red sweatshirt.
"Isn't that my sweatshirt?" Thomas asked. She sent him a cheeky smile, grabbed her bag and started down the hall.
"Maybe…" She trailed off. She heard him chuckle as he came down the hallway and laced his fingers through hers.
"You know… I've been looking everywhere for that thing." Thomas laughed.
"Yeah. I know."
"And you didn't say anything because?"
"I like to watch you struggle." Marinette laughed as the two entered the elevator and went to the lobby where their two friends were waiting for them.
"Finally! You two were taking forever." Dylan complained.
"Hush up." Marinette scolded her friend. "Let's get to the bakery for some breakfast." They all exited the hotel, put their bags in their cars and drove four blocks to the bakery. Once they parked, they walked inside. The smell of fresh bakery items filled their noses and, almost like a trigger, all of their stomachs growled at once.
"Food!" Dylan dropped Carly's hand and walked over to the pastry case like a person in a trance. Marinette and Carly rolled their eyes while Thomas laughed at Dylan's actions. Marinette could her mother and her back was to them so she rang the bell to get her attention.
"Hello, Welcome to…" Her mother turned around and almost burst into tears at the sight of her daughter. "Welcome home!" Sabina quickly ran around the counter and gave her daughter a bone crushing hug. "I love what you've done with your hair. By the way, your father still doesn't know." Sabina confessed as she brushed a piece of hair out of Marinette's eyes.
"You didn't tell dad?" Marinette asked.
"Nope. I wanted you to see his reaction. Tom! Get down here!" Sabina yelled up the stairs to her husband. Suddenly Tom came thundering down the stairs like someone had lit his pants on fire. He came to a stop when he saw Marinette and her friends in the middle of the bakery.
"Welcome home, my daughter." Tom shouted as he picked Marinette up in a giant bear hug and spun her around.
"Thanks dad. It's good to see you." Marinette said as her father placed her back on her feet.
"What have you done to your hair?" Tom asked as he patted her head.
"Do you not like it?" Marinette self consciously ran her fingers through her hair.
"No. I absolutely love it. It looks incredible on you." Tom answered. "You look beautiful my dear."
"Thanks papa. So is there any chance we could get any breakfast, we came right from the hotel."
"Of course. Free croissants for everyone." The four teenagers cheered as Tom brought out a large plate of freshly baked croissants. The four teens quickly devoured a good amount of the croissants and decided to go for a little walk.
"We'll see you later." Marinette called to her parents as the four of them walked out of the bakery and made their way to the park. When they reached the park, there was a large camera crew taking pictures of someone.
"Who do you think that is?" Carly asked as she sat on a bench. The others followed her to the bench. Dylan sat on the ground in front of her while Marinette sat next to Carly with Thomas next to her. He took her hand in his and began playing with her fingers. They continued to walk the scramble of people for a few minutes before their subject was revealed.
"Oh you have got to be kidding me."
