Hi, I'm so sorry for the long time but it was holiday and I left two month for a road trip in France with some friends, amazing by the way. Never mind I'll be faster from now. Sorry again, wish you'll like this chapter. xx

Chapter 6:

Far away from the Burrow, the Malfoy Manor and more of this hot southern France was Hogwarts, the famous School of Witchcraft with its headquarters Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore one of the greatest wizard of all time. Most of the time alone to think about the events or to watch his Phoenix Fawkes when he was in his office, there was this day someone keeping him company. Professor Severus Snape, teaching at the same school Potions during sixteen years and then last year Defense Against the Dark Arts, subjects which he had always dreamed of being the teacher. Both had a discussion not about school, teaching or students. They actually spoke about Death.

"I can't do that Professor Dumbledore.

- But you have to Severus…

- We can find another alternative.

- Which one? I await your suggestions. Believe that I will gladly accept any other solutions allowing me to live.

- The Dark Lord knows that I'm faithful, he is convinced. I am one of the few he trusted.

- It is only a matter of time before the doubts seized him. I know Tom, he's sure of anyone and the time comes when it will be your turn to account. Killing me... Killing me will move away all doubts from his mind."

This sentence left a cold wind in the room and Snape turned away from his superior. A question burned his lips, but he was pretty sure he would not like the answer, not at all.

"You have questions about Harry, am I wrong?"

Once again Albus Dumbledore just surprised him, deceiving his famous Occlumency gift when he sees his thoughts.

"No Legilimency here my friend, just common sense. You know very well what you should do for the child. Your duty is to protect him, to attend like a good star and to accompany him through the shadow of his quest. Never lose sight of your goal Severus.

- And for Draco and the Lovegood girl?"

Dumbledore did not answer immediately, he seemed to think about this question for a few seconds.

Draco is your godson, but it should not interfere in your mission... Luna and Draco have a future that seems mapped out and we can do nothing, neither you nor me. They are meant to be together.

- The prophecy is not about the…

- The prophecy, Albus cut him, is clear. You heard it yourself.

- Why them? None is Heir of Slytherin.

- Because it is so. Tom Marvolo Riddle is the heir of Salazar Slytherin, thereby adopting one or the other makes him a direct heir. This is what happens with the young Malfoy, am I wrong? The Manor seems to be already become his home. And do not forget the relationship he had with Allamanda."

Once again a silent comes between them. Dumbledore looked at Severus who agitates, he walked back and forth in the office which was rather strange coming from him. The famous director of the School of Witchcraft cast a glance around the office that was his for the past forty-one years. He was not afraid of death, because after all death is only the beginning. Moreover his health was not very good since he started this Horcruxes hunting. He just wanted to make sure that after his death the fate of Harry Potter fulfilled.

"Severus, when the time comes the boy must die.

- I thought the goal was that he did not die.

- His death is the only way to kill Lord Voldemort."

Dumbledore saw Severus's eyes get bigger and it's stand at the table behind him not to fall to this new. Despite this surprise, he thought detected the feeling that he had always known deep down inside him.

"So this boy… This boy must die. Snape asked with calm

- And Voldemort will have to kill Harry himself. It's essential.

- I thought… all this years… that we protected him for her. For Lily.

- We protected him because it was essential to ensure his teaching, to raise him, to allow him to test his strength, Dumbledore replied, his eyes tightly closed. Meanwhile, the connection that existed between them grew as a parasitic growth: sometimes I thought he suspected himself. If I know him, he will do what it will do everything for the day when he goes to meet his own death will be also the real end of Voldemort."

Dumbledore opened his eyes. Snape looked horrified.

"You've kept him alive so he can die at the proper time?

- Don't be shocked, Severus. How many men and women have you watched die?

- Recently, only those whom I could not save." Snape said.

He stood up.

"You used me.

- What do you mean?

- I have spied for you, lied for you, I ran mortal danger for you. All this was to secure the son of Lily Potter. And now you tell me that you raised him as a pig for slaughter...

- That's very touching, Severus, Dumbledore noticed with serious tone. As you come to feel affection for the boy?

- For him? Snape scream. Spero Patronum!"

Then from the end of his wand springs a silver doe. She landed on the floor across the room jumped and flew out the window. Dumbledore looked away and when its light silver fainted, he turned back to Snape, the eyes full of tears.

"After all this time?

- Always." Rogue said.

Then a silence comes between the two men, Severus lowered his head. Always he said. He will always love Lily Evans, even in death. And that was the only reason that drove him to be a double agent. He protected the Potter child only because he was Lily Evans's son.

"Luna Lovegood is not very fine."

The abrupt change of subject didn't surprise Dumbledore. He nodded.

"Yes, I guess so. What is he doing to her?

- It's more Lucius than the Dark Lord.

- Lucius? Really, him who so involved?

- Exactly. His son suffered as much as him. He is angry and he killed his anger on the young Lovegood.

- She's going to be okay.

- Until when?

- It is not for us to decide, Severus. Not for us…

- I do not quite understand what you expect of me that way. I have no duty to the Lovegood.

- But to Draco yes, if I'm not wrong.

- Draco is fine.

- For now, you have heard the prophecy... How long Tom will wait before marrying the children, before asking them to give him the weapon they are supposed to have when the two of us do not even know of whereof he speaks.

- Draco knows a part of the prophecy.

- A small part Severus, and only interpreted as Tom interpreted to him. What Narcissa says of that?

- Nothing as usual. She wants to protect her son. She cries often.

- Xenophilius told her to leave England as soon as possible when his wife died, she did not have the courage.

- Narcissa loves Lucius.

- Narcissa loves Draco so much more. Dumbledore replied wisely. Now promise me that you will keep an eye on the children. They are important you know this."

For a long time Severus Snape did not answer. His eyes still moist staring into space. And his hands were shaking.

"I promise."

It is often said that it's love that causes all the misery of men. Love and... Women, but in some kind of way both means the same thing. Why would this be different with the great Black Mage, who silenced his name of all, the Dark Lord, Voldemort? So yes, this goes back to his childhood with his disturbed air and his taste for black magic but why would he not also have to add a women's issue at his long table complaining. So why not. After all Allamanda Lindgren was the most beautiful woman he had crossed to England as here in Sweden.

Of course she was young, much younger than him, ten maybe fifteen, of the top of her twenty-one years old. But she was beautiful. Allamanda Lindgren was a young Anglo-Swedish woman. Herbalist's daughter, she grew up in the beauty of the magical plant. They were crossed by chance. Him, the handsome and mysterious Tom Marvolo Riddle and her, the beautiful and wild Allamanda Lindgren.

"I heard that there is here, in Sweden, a plant that even gives strength to an old man about to die."

The young woman sitting at polishing looked up revealing the most amazing blue eyes Tom have never seen. Extraordinary? Strange, he had not really used to compliments.

"Hello. She replied raising an eyebrow.

- So?

- We don't have that kind of thing here." She added, lowering her head to her work.

Tom stood for a moment stood there, annoyed by the tone she used and the non-information she had given him. After all, he had not made the journey from London to hear nonsense. He pulled out his wand with a quick movement and pointed it at the young woman, the spell doesn't even passed the barrier of his mouth an orange flash springs to wrap the hands of the woman. A few seconds later the large metal clamps was clean and seems new. She looked at him a startled look.

"Now that I have your attention, can you tell me more about this plant?

- I... I told you we did not have that here... She stammered fixing the wand.

- Oh, excuse me... He said handing it in his pocket. But I'm sure you know it, after all you don't tell me that the reputation of your business is unfounded.

- The true is that it's my parent's business…

- And with such parents, you're not good at herbology?

- I got an Optimal to my NEWT.

- So you studied at Hogwarts"

The young woman smiled before getting up. Then Tom folded his arms across his chest.

"Come have a drink and I'll tell you everything you want to know about the Flower of Life as my father like to call it.

- I hope your pub sells better butterbeer than the Three Broomsticks."

The young woman giggled, before grabbing a jacket and close the store. Of course even the brilliant Allamanda Lindgren had fallen in love with Tom Riddle and who could blame her. He was, around thirty-five years, still a wonderful man and this mysterious air would have melted even the coldest witch. A powerful Dark Lord, him? No way, okay he might have some Black Magic notions, he could speak Parseltongue, he was in Slytherin when he was studying at Hogwarts but why make hasty conclusions? Tom was a very kind and caring man.

"Luna! Luna sweat heart, my baby, look at me, look mom... Promise me you will not get out of here!"

The little girl with huge blue eyes and long blonde hair looked completely lost her mother, a small explosion sounded behind them and the little girl curled up under the table where her mother had hidden her.

"What is that mom?

- You know, she replied, smiling nervously, my experiences... Always my experiences. My baby, promise me to not get out of here.

- But I'm scared.

- I'm here my love... The young woman' whispered her eyes filled with tears. I'm here. Luna, I love you okay. Never forget that.

- I love you too mommy."

Allamanda kissed the forehead of her child before getting up. Then the girl stood there alone, trembling like a leaf. After a few seconds voice gushed everywhere, voices belonged neither to her mother nor her father, scary voice. Then the girl took a wise decision, she stopped her ears as hard as she could. Several long minutes passed and the little girl had begun to whisper a rhyme that her mother sang to her before bed. Had a smile stretched her lips when an explosion rang out by vibrating the walls and her little body, then another sound, one that made the head of her mother when it came to hit the ground.

"Mommy?"

Luna finally unblocked her ears and walked toward her mother's lifeless body, she gently shook her shoulder endlessly repeating the same word in two syllables. Then an incredible pain shook her when we raised her by the hair. An incredible pain followed by a white wave that came over her and follow her everywhere.

Merlin! Charlie screamed jumping by several meters while a gnome bit his shoe. More frightened than hurt of course, but the boy had really believed for a moment that he was under attack from Death Eater or other creature of evil. A laugh sounded behind him and he was unpleasantly surprised to find Ronald Weasley coming toward him a small bag in his hands.

"Ah gnomes, a real wound. The garden is infested, too bad that you didn't came to the Burrow in more gay time cause hunting gnomes is really a fun activity when we are many.

- You know Ronald, I'm not as good as Cassandre in English…

- Oh I see... Pay attention to their teeth, they give infections or other thing not very cool.

- Thanks for the advice. So… What is in this so tiny bag?

- Our supplies of food for the coming week."

Charlie threw a glance at the bag, it was still smaller than his toiletries, and raised an eyebrow pointing a finger with a smirk.

"A week. Really?

- Yes. Hermione has often told me: you can't judge a book by its cover. Perfect for this bag, it is bewitched. We could bring an elephant if we wanted.

- Cle… ver." Charlie said despite him.

A silence settled between the two young men and Ronald scratched his head while his ears took a red tint, a sign that he wasn't very comfortable. He observed a moment Charlie who was staring at his shoes before his frown.

"So you and Luna…

- Huh? Replied a little too quickly the boy raising his head. Luna and me... No, of course not.

- I just wanted to know if you know each other since long time." Ron added, raising an eyebrow and smiling with amusement.

Charlie looked Ron a few seconds as if he had make the most enormous errors before sighing and shaking his head.

"I don't judge you, you know... Luna is one of the girl the most nicest that I know and I suspect that over time she has not been changed. If you want a scoop, Ron added, whispering, I think me too I was a little in love with her when we were little.

- Why are you talking to me like I was twelve? I don't care that you were in love with Luna.

- Are you like this all the time?

- Like what? Charlie asked him, glaring.

- Irritating to die."

The two boys were now face to face, Ronald, whose tone had kept its fun points, had kept a big smile on his lips. Charlie was frowning, more for form than anything else... He always had the habit of reacting with the (false) anger rather than discussing at home and at school, this was probably for this reason that he had poor results. Arms crossed over his chest he sighed for the umpteenth time before turning and giving a kick in a gnome passing by.

"It usually works…

- What's works? Ron asked really lost.

- Anger… Charlie replied, sighing again. Usually the deal of anger works, my parents do what I say, the teachers fire me, Cass finally leave me alone...

- What you've said? The redhead said, not mimicked anger. Ah yes! Why are you talking to me like I was twelve?! He mimicked taking with a child's voice. You behave like an adult and maybe I'll talk to you as if you were one. Moron.

- Don't insult me moron. Idiot!

- But you are a moron, MORON!"

Again they were facing, this time so angry one and the other when a burst of laughter came interrupt. Away Cassandre Jacobs made them big hand sign.

"What are you doing? We are waiting for you!"

Ron turned to her and smiled at the young girl before turning to Charlie the same smile on his lips, with a hint of mockery. The younger opened his mouth frustrated and shook his head, planting a finger under his mouth.

"YOU! Do not even think about it she's my little sister and my best friend's girlfriend, fool!

- You are twins, moron! "Ron replied, raising his voice while the French boy advanced towards her sister.

Really, Ron thought as Charlie had to catch her sister's arm and pulled her toward the house while she try to explain that she wanted to wait "Ronald Weasley," the trip promises to be enliven especially if I end up with this moron of Charlie Jacobs.

End of this chapter. You probably have recognized one of the passages of the Deathly Hollows! My favorite moment ever… See you! xxx
