"See ya!" Yamamoto called out to his Dad and his predecessor as he ran off to meet up with Tsuna and Gokudera for school.
"Oi, Takeshi! Have a good day at school!" Tsuyoshi yelled loud enough to cause a passing dog to start barking madly while Asari laughed lightly.
The two men went back inside, Tsuyoshi going behind the counter to wash the breakfast dishes and Asari sitting down at one of the tables to drink a cup of Japanese style tea.
They stayed in silence for a while until Tsuyoshi broke it, "So, you're one of the Sawada family's friends?"
Asari laughed a little nervously, "Ah, I guess you could say that."
"That Sawada's a nice kid, isn't she?"
"Yes, she is nice." Too nice to be brought into the world of the mafia. "What kind of person is Takeshi-kun?" Asari asked, wanting to know more about the Tenth Generation Rain Guardian.
Tsuyoshi looked thoughtful for a moment, "He's a pretty good kid also, he's great at baseball and spends a lot of time with his friends, he never stops talking about them."
Asari listened and smiled a bit, It's good to know he's so close with the others.
"If you don't mind me asking, where is Takeshi-kun's mother?" Asari had been curious when he saw no woman in the house, nobody had ever mentioned it.
Tsuyoshi paused in what he was doing and sighed, "Unfortunately, she passed away years ago when Takeshi was still a child."
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." Asari felt a little bad for bringing it up, but Tsuyoshi didn't seem to mind that much.
Asari looked around and noticed Yamamoto's baseball equipment sitting in the corner near the back, "What's that for?"
Tsuyoshi glanced at the object Asari was referring to, "Oh, that's Takeshi's baseball stuff."
"He didn't forget to bring it to school did he?" Asari asked, concerned that he might get in trouble or something.
Tsuyoshi just shook his head, "He doesn't play as much as he used to, he mostly focuses on the sword now." Asari looked surprised, "The sword?"
Tsuyoshi laughed, "Yeah, I guess most people wouldn't expect a teen to practice the art of the sword this day and age!" Tsuyoshi paused for a moment, "I was surprised myself when he first asked me to teach him Shigure Soen Ryu."
"Do you know anything about his reasoning to learn?" Asari had already had his suspicion.
Tsuyoshi thought for a moment, "I honestly don't know much, but I do know that he came home one day with some pretty bad injuries. I tried asking him, but he said that it was fine." Tsuyoshi sighed, "I didn't want to press, but I wish he would have at least told me something."
Asari knew exactly what had caused those injuries, but he had no intention of sharing his knowledge with the boy's father, "You shouldn't worry so much, Takeshi-kun is a very responsible child. I'm sure he'll make the right decisions."
Tsuyoshi smiled at that while Asari wished his words were true. How can someone so kind have involved themselves in the mafia world?
-*-*-After school-*-*-
"I'm home!" Yamamoto walked into the currently closed restaurant and found his dad waiting for him.
"Oi, Takeshi! Welcome home!"
Yamamoto was about to start a conversation with his dad, but then Asari walked in, "Takeshi-kun, can I talk with you for a moment?" Yamamoto was confused as to why his ancestor wanted to talk with him, but nodded anyway.
"Sure."
Asari led him into the dojo and then turned to face him.
"So, what are we doing here?" Yamamoto asked, his never faltering grin in place.
Asari looked at Yamamoto calmly, "Fight me" He pulled out his katana and faced a very confused Yamamoto.
"Ha ha ha, I'm not really sure I get the jok-" In a split second, Asari was in front of Yamamoto. If it weren't for his sharpened instinct, the Vongola would have to find a new Rain Guardian.
"Whoa there!" Yamamoto backed up a few steps and took hold of his Shigure Kintoki, "What was that for?"
"This is not a joke, fight me." Asari's words caused Yamamoto to frown and pull his bamboo sword out.
"So I have to fight?"
"Yes, but I'm not sure what you intend to do with a simple bamboo sword."
Just as the words left his mouth, Asari's sword made contact with another steel blade in the hands of Yamamoto.
"Don't underestimate Shigure Kintoki."
Asari was surprised, not only by the now metal sword, but also by Yamamoto's newly adopted attitude. He quickly got over his surprise and nodded, "Well then, let's get started."
-*-*-An hour later-*-*-
Tsuna and Giotto walked into Takesushi and were greeted by Tsuyoshi,"It's good to see you, Sawada! Is this one of Asari's friends?"
Tsuna smiled and introduced her companion, "This is Giotto, we came to see Yamamoto and Asari." She explained.
Giotto gave a nod in greeting, "It's nice to meet you, I hope this isn't a bother."
Tsuyoshi grinned, "Not at all! Takeshi and Asari are in the dojo! They've been in there for about an hour."
Giotto frowned while Tsuna looked confused, "What are they doing in there?" She asked.
Tsuyoshi shrugged, "Not a clue."
"Well we'll just go find out." Giotto said and Tsuna nodded, leading Giotto to the dojo. Giotto hoped the room would still be intact. (lol Giotto is so smart, he's already found out what they're doing.)
They got to the dojo and opened the door to find both Rains on the ground, exhausted.
Tsuna pretty much freaked and was about to go check to see if they're hurt, but was stopped by the sudden burst of laughter coming from the two guys on the floor.
"Ha ha ha, you're pretty good Asari!"
"Ha ha ha, so are you! I'm terribly sorry I ever thought badly of you!"
"That's fine! As long as we had fun!"
Both of them threw their arms around each other's shoulders and laughed.
Tsuna and Giotto watched from the sidelines and sweat-dropped. Giotto smiled and approached the happy duo, "Well, it looks like you two are having fun." The two looked surprised at first, but then grinned.
Asari was about to ask what Giotto was doing here, but stopped by an "Oof!" coming from Yamamoto. The adults looked to find a blushing Yamamoto with a frantic Tsuna clinging to his arm.
"Yamamoto, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm oka-"
"Are you hurt?"
"No, I'm-"
"Are you bleeding?"
"No-"
"Do you need medical-"
"Tsuna, I'm fine!" Yamamoto stopped Tsuna before she went on. Tsuna just smiled brightly and gave her friend a quick hug.
Giotto and Asari stood there In shock at the scene that just played out before them.
Yamamoto noticed the stares and grinned, "Why don't we get some of my dad's sushi?" he asked, scratching the back of his head.
The two men nodded dumbly and watched as Tsuna smiled excitedly.
"Let's go! You guys haven't had any of Yamamoto-san's sushi yet, have you?"
They shook their head and followed the kids out of the dojo.
They got to the sushi shop and just as Giotto opened the door, he had to duck to avoid the flying dynamite.
The four of them peered through the doorway to find G yelling and Gokudera, Gokudera yelling at Ryohei, Ryohei just plain yelling, and Knuckle yelling at them to stop yelling.
"Gokudera-kun!" Tsuna ran past the door and grabbed her friend's arm to keep him from throwing anymore dynamite at the white-haired boxer, "What are you guys going her?"
Gokudera turned to her and saluted, "I came here to check on you, Juudaime!" Gokudera started glaring at Ryohei, "That stupid boxer followed me!"
"Oh shut up would you?" G hit Gokudera over the head, who predictably started yelling as may curse words that he could fit into one sentence.
Knuckle just laughed, "G and I came to keep an eye on the kids." Gokudera growled while Ryohei started laughing.
Tsuna giggled, "Well, we came to have some sushi!"
Gokudera put on his stubborn side, "I normally wouldn't eat anything made by the baseball idiot's family, but if Juudaime's eating it, I can make an exception!"
Yamamoto laughed, "Thanks for your support!"
"That wasn't support you idiot!"
"You said you'd eat my dad's sushi right?"
"I didn't say I wanted to!"
"Huh? Then why are you eating it?"
"Because Juudaime told me to!"
"Ha ha ha, I don't think Tsuna ever said that."
"Sh-shut up, baseball idiot!"
Tsuna sighed and watched as her guardians started arguing, again, with Ryohei cheering them on. She suddenly thought of something, "Oh right! Tomorrow is the last day of school!"
Everyone stopped their fighting, even the adults looked at her.
"Oh right! We have break coming up!" Yamamoto realized.
Giotto, Asari, G, and Knuckle looked confused, "You do?" Giotto asked.
Tsuna nodded, "They're doing some repairs for the school and we'll be off for a while."
Asari smiled, "That's great timing, isn't it? Now we'll all be able to spend more time with each other!"
G and Gokudera growled and everyone laughed. For the rest of the night, they all ate sushi together and argued\laughed. Yamamoto and Asari were having pleasant conversations, G and Gokudera were arguing, Ryohei and Knuckle were yelling, and Tsuna and Giotto were doing their best to keep everyone under control. Just a typical night.(At least now that the First Generation is here)
I FINALLY got the next chapter up! I hope it wasn't too boring… I was too lazy to include Lightning and it would have been too much trouble to think up reasons for Cloud and Mist to come. Oh and, I'm getting rid of school for a while(or for the rest of the story) so they can spend more time with each other. I chose doing repairs to the school instead of summer or spring break because I wasn't sure how long I wanted the break to last. There is going to be a chapter for each guardian bonding(Giotto and Tsuna, G and Gokudera, Lampo and Lambo, ect.) I promise the next chapter of Kuro Neko will be out soon(maybe not SOON soon, but soon).
