I knew Bella wasn't looking forward to coming to Forks but nonetheless, I was thrilled she was coming, especially after everything that had happened in Phoenix. Whenever we talked on the phone, I had had a feeling the something had been off about her, I blamed puberty whilst thinking that Renee knew her best and would've taken care of whatever had been bothering her.

My shock was of great proportion when I found out what had happened to Bella and what had really been going on all this time at her old school.

To say that I was shocked after I had gotten the news from Renee, is a complete understatement. I was devastated, I couldn't sleep, eat or drink for days. They forced me to take weeks off from working at the station but when Billy came to check on me, he took me to the hospital where they found out that I had been dehydrated.

Doctor Cullen had been taking care of me, lecturing me to take better care of myself, for Bella. Doctor Cullen was a really nice man, he didn't just help me but he actually listened to me. When his family moved into town I thought they would be nothing but trouble, since he had a bunch of adopted teenagers. But it's turned out to be the exact opposite, they are well behaved teenagers, much better than most kids in town these days.

When I told Billy about how nice Doctor Cullen had been it had been obvious that he hated them, with a strong passion. When I asked him why, he said he couldn't tell me.

I closed the door to her new bedroom and rested my back against the wall, rubbing my tired eyes. I'm afraid, afraid that Bella won't like it here, afraid that she'll be all alone with nobody to understand her. Afraid that she'll be scared or different from what happened to her. But on the other hand, she could have a fresh start here in Forks. A fresh start with no bullies and no worries, she could be a normal teenager who could enjoy her final year and a half of high school. She might even befriend the Cullen's, they would be a good influence on her.

The flight from Phoenix to Seattle went by surprisingly fast. I was able to finish a book I had started to read at the hospital and even slept for a little while. Then came the one hour flight in a small plane to Port Angeles, which was okay too. I spent my time watching at the clouds and landscaped under me. The thing that made me want to groan was the one hour drive with Charlie in his cruiser.

Unsurprisingly, he had been really happy about the whole "moving to Forks" thing. He seemed genuinely pleased that I was going to be living with him again, after everything. He had bought me some new bedroom stuff and registered me into the local high school.

It was raining when the plane landed, at first I wanted to see it as a bad omen but quickly realized that it was going to be raining nearly all the time anyway. I rapidly pulled my sweater over my head and nearly tripped over the last step out of the plane when my head got stuck in the sweater. I made a quick, but clumsy run towards Charlie and hugged him in all earnest. He awkwardly pecked my forehead and took my bags , discarding them in the trunk.

Charlie and I spent the hour in the cruiser listening to and old radio show, bobbing our heads with the beat whilst I stared at the colour green, which seemed to literally cover everything.

When we arrived home, he led me straight to my room, it hadn't changed that much. Still the same desk with the same rocking chair in the corner of the room. The walls were a lovely green this time, new lamps stood on each bed side table which framed the new queen sized bed in the middle of the room. There was a new reading lamp next to the rocking chair in the corner of the room and a few picture frames stood on the desk. Most of them were empty, ready for me to fill them but three were filled with old pictures from my dad and I. I smiled softly at the gesture.

I stroked the new purple bed spread and looked out of the window from the other side of the room, I had a nice view of some trees. I smiled as I looked at the room in more detail. Charlie seemed to have invested in some more stuff, about 5 pillows were placed at the head of the bed. Fluffy and cosy blankets were laying on the desk and towels in same shade of purple as my bed spread were placed on the rocking chair.

'Bells?' I heard my dad yell from downstairs.

'Yeah dad?' I asked, slightly raising my voice so he could hear me, too lazy to get up and actually open the door.

'Could you come down for a second? I have a surprise for you.' I could detect some form of nervousness in his usually calm voice.

I got up and ran my way to the stairs but quickly slowed down as I calculated my chances of falling down the stairs and landing in the hospital yet again. I had been in the hospital enough for a life time.

'What is it?' I asked when I couldn't find anything or anyone in the living room. I frowned when he stepped into view and nodded towards the front door. He lead me out with a smirk on his face, I frowned at the sight when I heard two voice, laughing.

'Bella,' he said whilst he carefully placed his hand against my lower back, 'this is Billy Black and his son Jacob.'

Billy was in a wheelchair and he had laugh lines on his face. His hair was long and black just like the boy who was standing next to him, his son. Jacob looked like he was about fifteen years old and also had long, black hair but his was pulled back into low ponytail. He smiled widely and took a big step forward, shaking my hand enthusiastically.

'Do you remember them Bella?' Charlie asked nervously.

'I do, it's nice to see you again.' I smiled politely at the two of them. It felt slightly awkward because it had been such a long while.

'It's nice to see you as well Bella, healthy and well.' The awkward feeling intensified a little and I smiled nervously. 'We were all very worried, especially Charlie.'

Charlie seemed to suddenly feel the awkwardness as well and blushed a little as he scratched the back of his head whilst looking down at his feet.

Billy and Jacob laughed at the sight of Charlie and me looking at each other awkwardly. Suddenly two warm and sticky hands covered my eyes and a loud yelp of panic escaped from my lips. I could hear a loud and deep chuckle close to my ear. 'What are you doing?' I asked weakly, my heart pounding in my chest.

'I can't even walk on a flat surface without falling down and you're expecting me to walk down the front yard with no vision what so ever?'

Jacob laughed again, 'I'll be your eyes, just relax.' His breath was too warm against my neck and I didn't like how close he was. I barely even remembered him. He lead me down the front yard and turned me into a different direction before uncovering my eyes.

There it was, parked on the street was a giant but surprisingly amazing, red truck. The red was faded with rounded fenders and a bulbous cap, I simply adored it.

'Dad, I absolutely love it! Thank you so much.' I hugged him tightly, his hand awkwardly brushed my back.

'I'm glad you like it, Bells.'

Billy smiled, obviously proud of the good state of the truck. 'It used to be mine, but Jacob maintained the engine. It's almost as good as new.'

Jacob blushed a little as his ego seemed to grow noticeably.

This would definitely make my much dreaded first day just a tad bit less dreadful.
