Chapter Seven:

It was an early morning of the next day when Sky came to.

Her eyes fluttered open, and even though the chloroform had long since worn off, she was still quite groggy. She laid herself on her stomach, propping herself on her elbows. Her vision cleared, and she found herself in a rather large bed. The sheets were of silk, the color of cream. The blanket draped over her shoulders was a bit thick, keeping her warm.

Her mind tried to catch up with her current situation. She recalled being put under, and then she wakes up in this fancy bed. A quick glance around revealed that the entire room was fancy.

"Where...where am I?" She groaned to herself. She turned herself over and peered at the rest of the room. There was a large closet against the far wall, and opposite of the bed was a window, looking out among a gloomy forrest. The sun was blocked by clouds, and it was snowing rather heavily. Well, snow-rain mix.

As she swung her legs over the side of the bed, she noted how chilly it was, and decided to wrap one of the blankets around her shoulder. Her feet were cold as they touched the wood on the floor, but her mind focused on figuring out her location.

She walked over to the large wooden door, her hand grasping the cold metal knob. It turned with ease, which confused her even more-why would the door be unlocked? Perhaps her captors weren't very bright?

The door opened with a near silent squeak, which echoed in the deserted hallway. She glanced both ways before carefully leaving the room. The halls were chipped in many places, an odd smell lingering in the air; not unpleasant, but noticeable. She continued down the hall, coming across a staircase, which lead to a lower level. Curiosity got the best of her and she padded down the stairs, the wood groaning slightly with her weight. She momentarily suspected the floor to collapse, but it held nicely.

When she reached the bottom of the stairs, she was met with a main room, of which had several different hallways leading to numerous places. Sky tiptoed over to the main door,or at least what looked like the main door, and tried to open it. The wood was thick, too heavy for her to open on her own. With a sigh, she reluctantly chose the first hallway, which held two doors-the second larger than the first. She peaked into the first room with the smaller door, seeing that the living space resembled a kitchen.

It was quite neat, the floor was polished, the black crystal countertops wiped down, and a delicious smell wavering in the air. Her stomach spoke up then, making a blush rise to her cheeks, though no one was around to hear it. Backing out of the room, she started towards the second one near the end of the short hall. She minded the open space on the end, but became curious as to see what was on the other side of the larger door.

Taking the handle in one hand, she pushed it open, peaking her head in.

There was a long table set up, plates lining the sides. Sky glanced hungrily at the food, then noticed the inhabitants of the house staring at her. They looked odd, each of them having a rather...unique appearance.

"Who are you?" Someone spoke-a guy wearing a light green polo, a beanie partially covering his golden tufts of hair. His eyes were pitch black, the pupils red.

"Who are you?" Sky countered, her voice shaking. A majority of the people were guys, and she had a bad feeling growing in the pit of her gut.

"Calm down, Sky," one of the guys said. He wore a white mask that hid his face, as well as an orange sweater. She glared, recognizing him as her kidnapper.

"You! Why did you bring me here? What the heck is going on?" She demanded. "Who are you?"

"My name is Masky,"

"Well Masky," she sneered, "Why was I brought here, and where exactly am I?"

"I was ordered to bring you here, Miss. I had no say in the matter," he said timidly. Masky's voice shook a little, being quite uncertain about the young lady-if Slender Man was infatuated with this girl, she had to be extremely powerful.

"Who ordered you to kidnap me?" She demanded.

"I did," a voice said from behind. Sky felt a shiver go down her spine. That voice only belonged to...She turned around, her fears confirmed.

The Slender Man, the one who claimed her, was standing behind her. He stared down at her, she stared up at him.

"First you claim me, then you kidnap me?!" She shouted, throwing her blanket to the floor. "How dare you?!"

Slender leaned down, dangerously close to her face. She slightly cowered, but stood firm.

"You are mine. I have the ability to do whatever I please with you," he said. The people in the room couldn't do anything but watch the feud.

"And who gave you that right?" Sky demanded.

"That is none of your concern at the moment," he said.

"It is of my concern, and I demand to know right now," she said with almost equal force.

He growled, snatching her up in his tentacles. He teleported the both of them to the room she woke up in, and threw her onto the bed.

"You will stay in this room until you've learned your manners," he said. He added in a faux hospitable voice, "This is your new home-so get used to it!"

With that, he left. Sky waited a moment, before jumping from her bed. She tried to throw open the door, but unlike last time, it failed to budge. She banged on the wood.

"Let me out! I don't want to be here!" She cried hopelessly.

On the other side, Slender was ignoring her pleas. Turning to Masky, who had witness the ugly temper of him, he handed the proxy a key. "Do not let her out of that room until I say so. I will be back," he said.

Masky stammered, "Sir, are you...going to...?"

Slender nodded. He teleported away, leaving the proxy to listen to the desperate cries from Sky.

The young woman collapsed on the other side of the door, sobbing into her arms. Now she was a prisoner-what else could go wrong?

Meanwhile, a group of teenagers were walking through the murky forest, ignoring the chill of the weather. There were about three, and one held a liquor bottle in his hand. Each wore a thick leather jacket and jeans.

"Alright guys," the first said, stopping. He brushed his dirty blonde hair aside with a lightly tanned hand. His icy blue eyes scanned through the trees. "This'll be far enough,"

"Was it really a good idea to sneak that beer from your dad? And why are we in the forest?" The second said. He had short black hair that was cropped behind his ears. His skin was fairly pale, and he had light freckles peppering his cheeks.

The leader sighed, popping the top off the bottle. "Because, Kirk, this is the safest place to drink. Nobody will catch us. Besides, my dad won't notice the bottle missing. He's got quite the stock in the garage,"

Kirk shook his head. "I don't think this was a good idea, Jacob"

The third boy butted in, with brown shaggy hair, olive-toned skin, and hazel eyes. "Chill, dude. We'll be fine. We'll just finish this beer, then go back home. Nobody will know,"

Jacob slapped the guy on the back. "There we go! Just listen to Gavin here-he knows what's cool," he handed the bottle to Gavin. "You get first drink, dude,"

Gavin tipped his head back, ready to drink, when Kirk stopped him. "Guys, what's that on the tree?"

Jacob glanced over his shoulder at the tree. It looked like any other tree, with a thick trunk, bare branches that twisted into odd shapes, and some uprooted roots. Only this one had a single page on it. Curious, Jacob went over to pluck it off the tree. Aside from the yellowed pages, crumpled edges, and fading ink, it was readable.

ALWAYS WATCHES...NO EYES

Jacob scoffed, crumbling the page and tossing it away. "It's just some prankster trying to scare us,"

But no one knew, however, that a being was watching them, his thirst for blood growing as he watched them. Perhaps he'd toy with them first-make them believe they were safe.

Then he'd devour their souls and toss their empty carcass away for the wolves.
