kikigraysonwest: Yeah they're enemies but they had to act like that because they didn't want to get expelled. Plus they're still teenagers, you know how they can be. I thought that it was a little bit of cute comedy between them.

i luv ur fic: Don't worry about it. We all get lost in the heat of our passion sometimes. Glad you still like it.

There was nothing much to say about the rest of the day considering the events that took place at lunch.

The other two classes Jack had were math and history. Both of which he didn't really enjoy all that much.

After the bell rang at the end of the day he walked to his locker and was met by Arcee.

"Hey." She greeted.

"Hey." He replied.

"So what did you think of your first day?" Arcee asked.

"It was cool. Certainly wasn't boring for the whole day that's for sure." Jack answered.

"Yeah. Sorry to say but you'd better get used to that. With the Cons around there'll be a lot more clashes like that." Arcee explained.

Jack nodded and remembered something from lunch.

"Arcee. That guy you were fighting at lunch. The one you called Starscream. He said something that made you mad but I didn't hear it. What was it?" Jack wondered.

Arcee scowled.

"Hey if you don't wanna tell me—"

"No, no it's okay...he was talking about a good friend of mine." Arcee began. "Chris Jumbers. His Autobot faction name is—was Cliffjumper."

"Was?"

"Yeah. Cliffjumper was expelled from the school. He was fighting Stan Skyfe, or Starscream and the fragger got Cliff caught by Sentinel. Now he's at Allspark." Arcee continued.

"Allspark?" Jack wondered.

"Anyone and everyone who gets expelled from Cybertron Academy is sent to the Allspark Institution." Arcee answered.

"So it's another high school. What's so bad about being sent there? Other than the fact that you got expelled I mean." Jack asked.

"It's a boarding school that's on the other side of the state. We rarely see anyone who goes there. I haven't seen Cliffjumper in over a year." Arcee explained. She clenched her fists. "And I hate Starscream because of it."

Jack nodded in understanding.

"So, how about we change the subject. You still interested in joining the Autobots?" Arcee spoke.

Jack perked up. "Yeah."

Arcee smiled. " Good. We have a meeting today. Wanna come with?"

Jack nodded excitedly as he grabbed his bag and closed his locker. Arcee gestured at him to follow her.

They went to Room G-184.

There were already several Autobots in the room by the time Arcee and Jack there. Even Bumblebee, Bulkhead, Miko and Raf.

"Hey guys." Jack greeted.

"Jack! You made it! This place is awesome and the Autobots are great! I met this one kid who loves rocking out almost as much as I do." Miko exclaimed.

Raf shook his head. "Almost is cutting him short Miko. I think he was on par with you. Maybe even a little more."

Miko thought about that for a moment and shrugged. "Sure. I guess. Anyways, this place is awesome and I wanna join the Autobots right now! Get a faction card, then a cool faction name—"

"Miko. Remember. Optimus has to approve you first. Then you have to prove yourself over the course of 27 days before you're even considered to receive a faction card, let alone a name." Bulkhead interrupted.

Miko crossed her arms. "Okay okay. But I will get in. Don't you worry about that."

Jack looked around the fairly large room. "Where is Optimus?"

Arcee pointed to a large window near the back of the room. Optimus was sitting there next to Elita, a girl dressed in all blue who Jack had never seen before, Ultra Magnus, and a Ratchet, who was pressing an ice pack against his face.

"You had a fight during lunch and I wasn't there? Why did none of you call me?" The girl in blue demanded. She had short brown hair and bright blue eyes that matched her all blue attire. Blue shirt. Blue shorts. Blue shoes.

"Because said fight never should have happened in the first place and we didn't need it to get any bigger or out of control than it already was." Ultra Magnus replied. "I am ashamed to say that even I took part in the juvenile act."

"And I'm ashamed of you Optimus. Why would even engage in a fight like that in the first place? That is so out of character for you." Ratchet said.

"Why? Because it would have happened eventually and it was better that we do it in an open space rather than in the halls with monitors, teachers, and cameras around to watch...plus, he hit me first. I merely retaliated in reaction." Optimus answered.

"Yeah. And Wheeljack hit him." Elita said as turned to glare at the Wrecker who was vainly attempting to avoid her gaze. "What the hell Wheeljack?"

"Yeah, why'd you do that Jackie?" Bulkhead wondered.

Wheeljack shrugged. "What? He was...glaring at me menacingly."

Elita put her hand to her head. "Wheeljack, he glares at everyone like that."

Wheeljack looked down. "Yeah, exactly. I thought I could teach him a lesson, or something."

"A lesson? By hitting him? That was incredibly childish and idiotic of you Jackson." Ultra Magnus scolded.

Wheeljack turned to glare at him.

"Whatever." Wheeljack muttered as he walked away. "Whatever the hell you say Stiff."

Ultra Magnus looked like he was about to go after Wheeljack, but Optimus held him back.

"Let him cool down. You'll rile him up even more." He said.

Optimus thanked Ratchet and took the ice pack from him as he stood up.

"Welcome back everyone from the way too short summer break!" Optimus began. "Like Mr. Halogen said I really hope that this year is one to remember, and hopefully this year will be the one when we finally win the faction war!"

Everyone present cheered at that last statement.

"Now, first, and only form of business we're doing today is looking over some potential new Autobot freshmen. If you three don't mind, please step forward." Optimus announced.

Miko practically ran up to Optimus. Jack and Raf followed a bit more timidly.

"Hello." Optimus greeted kindly. "Your guides recommended you three to join our faction. Elita One here also recommended you Jack Darby."

Jack smiled at Elita and she smiled back, giving him two thumbs up.

"However, we can't just accept anyone, just like the school can't accept anyone." Optimus continued. "The recommendations will only get you considered. So, you have to prove yourselves."

"What? Right now?" Jack asked.

"Oh no not now of course." Optimus replied. "But, I'll give you the course of 28 days to do so. You have to show that you're willing to stand up against the Decepticons. Willing to fight against them if you have, hopefully not but you know. You also have to be willing to look after your fellow Autobots."

The three freshmen nodded in understanding.

"Um, do you mind if I ask a question?" Jack asked.

"No of course not." Optimus replied.

"Uh, why 28 days? What's so special about 28 days?" Jack wondered.

Optimus knit his eyebrows. "Isn't it obvious?"

Jack shook his head, Miko and Raf joined him.

"Well, how many months have 28 days?" Optimus asked.

"...all of them?" Raf answered.

Optimus smiled at the boy. "Exactly! Now that that's done, I do believe this is gonna be it. I'll see you all here next week!"

Optimus then promptly left the room and many of the other Autobots followed suit.

Soon the only ones left were the three freshmen, their guides, Elita One and the girl in blue.

"I have a feeling you guys will get accepted. Don't worry about it." Elita assured.

"Us too. Don't worry you guys. 28 days will go by fast." Bulkhead added.

"Yeah. You guys seem cool." The girl in blue said.

"Hi." Jack greeted.

"Oh yeah! Hi. My name is Carmen Mia. My Autobot faction name is Chromia." She explained.

"Nice to meet you." Jack replied.

"This is the best friend I was telling you about. The one who reads everything for me!" Elita said.

"Yeah, although I shouldn't. You'll never learn to read that way Ellie." Chromia said sternly.

Elita pouted and sunk back. Then took her phone out and looked at it. She laughed.

"What a dork." She muttered playfully.

"What did he say now?" Chromia asked as she leaned over to her friend's phone and then laughed too.

"My oh my. He really is a dork isn't he?" Chromia said.

Elita nodded as she texted.

"Who?" Miko asked.

"My boyfriend. Orion. Oppie. Optimus. Pax or Prime. Call him whatever. He has a lot of names." Elita answered.

Jack looked at her skeptically. "Optimus? The leader of the Autobots we were talking too just now? The one fighting Megatron like a boss during lunch? Him? A dork?"

Elita chuckled and nodded. "Yeah. That's everyone's reaction when I say that about him. No one ever actually sees him like that, not that he would ever let anyone see him like that. Only his close friends have ever seen him like that. He has a reputation to uphold after all."

Jack nodded but was still skeptical when he waved goodbye to everyone and walked out.

Optimus Prime? A dork?...nah.

Jack was walking back home on Jasper Avenue and was still thinking about the day.

The Cybertron Academy. His new school.

Jack tried to remember what he was expecting the school to be like. A school with a bunch of bratty kids who thought they were better than everyone else because they attended a high end. Jack found that he was pleasantly surprised by the student's personalities and attitudes. They were actually very relatable and easy to talk too(the Autobots anyway).

Jack then remembered that his mom wanted to hear all about his first day. It had been great, but how was he gonna explain most things? Namely the faction war.

Jack stopped in his tracks and thought about that for several moments. He had been accepted into the academy because he was a prodigy in linguistics and English in general. HE was a master at putting words together. He had this.

Jack's mom was a nurse at the Galaxy City hospital and often had work late into the night. This was why Jack wasn't surprised to see that his mom wasn't home when he went inside.

He walked through the kitchen and when up to the home phone by the refrigerator. There was one message on file. It was from his mom. Jack pressed the play button for the messages.

[Hi Jack. I'm going to be working late tonight again. I hope that you had a wonderful first day and I hope that I'll hear all about it when I come home if you're not already sleeping that is. There are left overs in the fridge from last night fir you to warm up. Love you sweet heart.]

Jack smiled when the message finished.

"I guess I'll just wait until tomorrow then." He said to himself as he opened up the fridge and took out some plastic containers with food in them.

It was an abandoned warehouse towards the south of the school. It was filled with many students of the Cybertron Academy, namely the Decepticon faction part.

Megatron was sitting in a chair on one of the top balconies in the warehouse. Next to him was Wayne Sounders, or Soundwave who was typing on his laptop with his pet falcon Lazerbeak on his shoulder. On his other side was Kevin Nocks, whose Decepticon faction name was Knockout. He was their faction's designated med guy. He was holding an ice pack against Megatron's face. Specifically the side on which Optimus backhanded him.

At the thought Megatron growled and pushed Knockout away and grabbed the ice pack away from him.

"He backhanded me." Megatron muttered to himself again.

"Oh get over it already will you? It's not like he stole your belt and made your pants drop in front of everyone." Starscream spoke.

He snickered at his own snide comment before ducking when Megatron threw his ice pack at him.

"Shut up Starscream!" Megatron shouted. "He's gonna pay for this one. Optimus and every last scrappy little Autobot in the school. Halogen was right. This is gonna be a year to remember."

Don't tell me that I'm the only one who imagines Optimus is a totally different person when he's alone...am I?

Also, has anyone noticed the nod to G1 I added yet?
