Summary
Everybody thought that Quinn Fabray hated Rachel Berry with a passion but the truth was they were best friends since 4th grade then high school started and that friendship died the moment Quinn was ordered the throw a slushie at Rachel.
Now it's the beginning of the summer before Junior year started and Quinn wanted to reconnect with Rachel the most before reconnecting with the other girls. But will Rachel give her another chance after the bullying she put her through or is it too late? See what happens.
Rachel and female OC romance in this story and hopefully Faberrittana friendship in the end. Finn and Rachel never dated.
Before I start this chapter I just want to say that some of you may not like the OCs but they are going to be in the story a few times. Not all the time because this story is about Faberrittana. Alright on with the chapter.
Chapter 6
When Santana was done making dinner for them, they sat in the dinning room and Britt and Santana started eating but Rachel didn't touch her food yet. She kept thinking about the list.
"Rachel do you want some more water?" Santana questioned. Rachel was really quiet and it scared her a little.
"No thanks." Rachel looks down at her plate, moving the food around, hardly touching it. Britt and San glanced at each other with knowing looks.
Rachel was still effected by Quinn's betrayal. "Rach are you going to be okay tonight?" She looked up at Brittany and nodded.
"Yeah I'm sorry for acting like this. This is our night to have good time and I'm ruining it." Brittany reached over to her, taking ahold of her hand.
"It's okay to be upset. Quinn hurt all of us Rachie! Something like this is going to take alot of time to get over. We're all going to figure this out together, right San?"
Santana nods. "Britts right Berry. Things suck right now for all of us but it will get better once she gets her act together." Rachel sighs.
"Besides she's not going to be stalking you anymore. She's gone for the rest of the summer anyways. Now lets finish our dinner then get started on our movie night and finish our talk about bringing Lucy back into our lives." Britt nods agreeing with Santana.
"I guess my summer will much better with her being gone. Hopefully Frannie can help her this summer." Rachel sticks her fork into her Lasagna.
"Is this Vegan Tana?" She nodded.
"Rachel it's Vegan Spinach-Mushroom Lasagna. I wouldn't make you eat non vegan food. Besides we've had it before." She went back to eating.
"Eat up Rachie. I want us to get started on movie night." Rachel smiles her then starts eating her food. She wasn't going waste perfectly good food.
Rachel stared at the empty share the used to be Quinn's spot and sighed. Maybe somebody that spot will be filled again but for now it was going to be left empty.
All three girls laughed at the movie playing. They were watching Mean Girls. Janis was Santana's favorite. Brittany loved Gretchen. Rachel thought the movie was a okay but she wasn't a huge fan of it but she did find it funny. These were Brittany's and Santana's kind of movies.
"I'm going to get something to drink, do you girls want something?" They waved her off, never taking their eyes off the tv. Rachel shook her head knowing she wasn't getting anywhere with her friends.
She walked into the kitchen to get some water. She ran her hand through her brunette hair. She decided not to pull it up into a pony tail.
"Annora's calling your phone Rachie, do you want your phone?" Britt called out to her.
"No I'm not up for talking to her tonight. Don't answer it either." She knows not answering Annora's phone call would make Britt and Santana wonder. No they didn't get into a fight. She's just being careful of her heart. Both Malorie and Quinn hurt her. Sure Quinn didn't hurt her romantically, but she did bruise her heart.
"Are you sure? she's calling again." This time it was Santana that called out to her.
Rachel sighs walking back into the living room, taking her phone from Santana's hand and walked back into the kitchen, ignoring the confused looks from her girls.
"Hey babe. It's so good to hear from you. How are you?" She says with less enthusiasm. Normally a girlfriend would be super excited to hear from her Significant other but she just wasn't excited. She knew it had to do with her friendship with Quinn.
Annora was visiting her cousin in Boston for a few weeks, so she hasn't had much time to hear from her.
"Hey baby, why don't you sound excited to hear from me?" Rachel sighs.
"I am excited to hear from you babe. I thought about you all day. Honestly." She walked out into to backyard and sat down.
"Really Rach? Because it doesn't sound like you thought about me. What's going on?" Rachel huffs.
"Annora honestly I did think about you. It's just that Quinn keeps showing up and it's getting too much for me. I really want us to work babe." She actually really liked Annora Santiago, she was beautiful, smart, funny, amazing kisser, had a great personality, she was the perfect girl for her and her dads and her brother liked her alot.
"I want us to work out too. Are you going to be okay with that girl around?"
"My heads just not in the right place right now. Quinn did stop by and tell me that she was going to stay in California with her sister, to get herself together I guess."
Rachel stared at the pool. Watching Mean Girls doesn't matter right now. Having this conversation with her girlfriend made her feel a little bit better.
"Good for her. Now she can leave my baby girl alone for the rest of the summer. You are my girl right?" Rachel smiles just hearing her say that.
"Yeah I'm your girl. I just miss you." She gets comfortable on the lounge chair.
"I miss you too beautiful. My cousins keep asking me questions about the girl I can't stop thinking about. I'll be back next month. Can you pick me up at the airport?"
"Yes I'll do that. What day do you get in honey?" Annora tells her the date and they talk a little bit more before calling it a night.
Rachel goes back into the house, getting her water. She goes back into the living room, rejoining the girls.
"Did you and Annora have a nice talk?" Santana asked Rachel. She grabbed a handful of popcorn while Brittany puts in Bring It On. Rachel decided against Funny Girl for the night.
"Yeah I guess. She thinks I want to break up with her. I was kind of distant while talking to her." Brittany frowns shaking her head.
"You two can't break up, she's perfect for you. What's wrong Rachie?" She shrugged.
"I'm not trying to get my heart broken again." Santana got up, climbing over Britt and sat down next to Rachel. She grabs ahold one of her hand, placing the other one under her chin.
"Listen to me Rachel. We don't go through life thinking about the people that burned us in the past. We focus on the present and right now Annora is feeling you girl. Don't let that ex girlfriend of yours and Tubbers get the best of you." Rachel starts to protest.
"No listen to me. You try to find one thing wrong about a girl and break up with them. What is this time?" Rachel frowns staring into Santana's piercing black eyes.
She knew Santana was right. She did find anyway to break up with a girl if she found something wrong. This time it was long distance.
"Long distance I guess. It sucks that she lives in Akron while I live in Lima. I wish she went to McKinley High and lived here. Things would be alot easier if she was here but that's never going to happen. She wouldn't live here for me. We haven't been together for that long for her to decided to leave her school and her friends." Santana sighs.
"You never know tiny. I think your alot happier with her. Give it some time and if you really don't want to be with her? Call it off and you can be single for awhile."
She nods slowly. "Thanks Tana. I'll keep that in mind. Can we watch the movie now?" She gives her a soft smile and nodded, pulling her hand away.
"Rachie listen to San, she's smart and knows what she's talking about." Britt says with a mouth full of popcorn. Both girls laugh at how she looked.
"Aww you look so adorable Britt." She gave them a confused look.
"What?" They just giggled and finished watching their movie. Brittany pouted holding the bowl of popcorn close to her not sharing with them.
The Next Morning.
Rachel woke up to Her phone buzzing. She slowly gets up and looks around for her phone. Rachel spots it near Santana's leg, reaching over Santana's leg and picks it up. It was her older sister calling. She was at Berkeley getting her degree in Education. She wants to be a teacher.
"Hey Ari." Ariel was one of her best friends and she helped her through the bullying. She was the first person she told about being a lesbian. She was supportive. She loved her sister.
"Hi Rae why are you whispering?"
"Because San and Britt are sleeping. We slept in the living room last night. How is school and life in California?" Rachel whispered.
"School is good. I love it and I even have a boyfriend. His name is Demetrius. You would like him alot. How is your summer sis?"
"Okay I guess. I wish you were visiting but I guess you had other plans this summer?"
"Sorry sis. I just felt like staying in California for half of the summer. Besides I'm traveling soon to Saint-Tropez with some of my girlfriends and our boyfriends. Hopefully I'll be home during the holidays." Rachel huffed. She hardly ever spends time with her older sister.
"I hope your friends are worth it. I guess their more important then your own siblings. This is the second summer you decided not to come home. Bye Ariel." She hung up.
Her phone starts ringing and she saw Ariel calling her again. She sighs answering her sisters phone call.
"Rachel you can't do that everytime we talk on the phone. I'm sorry for not being there for you but I have a life here. I promise to visit you some time in August. Can you Survive until then?" Ariel asked her younger sister.
"It's not like I have a choice. Sorry for hanging up on you. Have fun on your trip." She could just see her sister smiling.
"I will and you have fun in the summer. Daddy told me that you have a new girlfriend. You can spend time with her. Bye sis." She says goodbye and they hang up.
"Go back to sleep Berry. You weren't whispering this time." Santana mutters in her sleep, cuddling up to Brittany.
"Sorry San." Rachel whispers before putting her phone back down and goes back to sleep.
Quinn stood at baggage claim with her suitcase, waiting for her sister Frannie. She was glad to be out of the Lima for the rest of the summer but so far this summer has been a let down. Her best friends wanted nothing to do with her because of her actions.
"Oh Lucy look at you. You can't even tell that you had a baby." Quinn hated the name Lucy. She wasn't a little a kid anymore.
"It's Quinn. Stop calling me Lucy everytime we see each other. I go by Quinn." Frannie just hugged her sister then took her suitcase from her.
"Come on I want to take you back to my place, get you settled in then we can talk. I want to know everything that's been going on with your life." Quinn just walked behind her sister as they walked out of the airport. She checked her phone to see some texts from Mercedes and Kurt. They weren't the people she wanted to hear from.
"Lucy watch where your going." Her sister called out to her. She ended up bumping into somebody.
"Sorry sir. I should have watched where I was going." Quinn apologised. The man just waved her off saying it's fine. He just walked into the airport.
"Come on sis before you bump into more people." Frannie joked shaking her head. Quinn walked over to her sisters car and got in, putting her seatbelt on.
"Relax sis. Are you hungry?" Quinn just stared out of the window.
"Quinn you called me remember? I want to be able to talk about anything. I'm here for you." Quinn turned to her sister.
"Where were you when I needed you huh? I needed my sister when Dad kicked me out of the house because I was pregnant with Beth." Frannie frowns.
"I'm truly sorry for not being there for you. We can talk more about at my place." Quinn just nodded, once again staring out the room as they finally left the airport.
When both sisters got to Frannie's place. Quinn got of the car and took her suitcase from Frannie. She followed her sister into her place looking around. It was nice.
"Theo's at work right now but he'll back a little later. Hopefully for dinner." Quinn tries to think who Theo is but then it clicks. Theo was Frannie's husband.
"How is Theo? Are you two planning on having kids any time soon?" Frannie grins.
"Your brother in law is really good and we've thought about it but right now we're just enjoying our marriage. Come on I'll show you to the guest room and then we can have some lunch." They just walked upstairs to the guest room where Quinn staying for the rest of the summer until school starts.
Later That Night.
Quinn finally met Theo and they all sat down having a nice dinner. Quinn kept staring at her phone hoping she'll get a text from one of her childhood friends but everytime it a text from her mom asking if she got to Frannie's place safely.
"Quinn you need to stop. Rachel, Brittany and Santana aren't going to be contacting you anytime soon. I know you miss them but they aren't coming back."
"Not now but they will Frannie. I need my best friends back. It's lonely without them around." Frannie felt bad for her sister but then again she brought this on herself.
"You could have said no to the slushie facial." Theo shook his head at his wife.
"Really Fran? She already feels really bad as it is. Don't keep adding on to it. These girls were her best friends and she's still hurting." Quinn liked her brother in law.
"Sorry but-" Theo put his hand up.
"Just leave it Fran. You really not cheering her up. She came here to get your advice. Give her some and stop judging her." He got up with his plate and drink.
"Where are you going Theo?" Frannie asked her husband. Quinn wondered the same thing. He was the only one standing up for her.
"I'm going to my office and get some more work done while finishing up my dinner there. You two should talk and remember what I said Frannie." Theo tells her.
He leaves the two sisters alone. Quinn stared at her sister then picks up her fork again and keeps on eating.
"Lucy?" She slams her fork down.
"It's Quinn for the last time. God your worse then mom. Atleast she knows to call me Quinn! When are you going to learn?" Frannie just stayed quiet. It's clear that tonight isn't the best time to talk about what's going on with her sister.
"Your right Quinn. I'm sorry." She goes back to eating her dinner. Quinn sighs doing the same. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.
The next morning, Quinn woke up and walked downstairs after fixing her hair. She saw her sister cooking.
"Hey." Quinn said softly. Frannie glanced at her sister and smiled.
"Good morning Quinn. Are you hungry?" Quinn walked over to her.
"What are you making? You know I'm Vegetarian right?"
"Yes Quinn. We have a vegetarian dinner last night. Anyways I'm making you some french toast with Vegetarian bacon." Quinn smiles.
"I miss having normal bacon. It's all Puck's fault because that's all I craved when I was pregnant." Frannie stopped cooking.
"Quinn we need to talk about everything that's been going on with your life. It's like you lost yourself." Quinn just walked into the living and turned the tv on.
Frannie shook her head and finished up breakfast. When it was done she called her sister.
"Quinn turn the tv off so we can have breakfast together. We are going to finally have the conversation, you keep putting off." She turned the tv off and took her plate from her sister and her cup of orange juice before sitting down on the dining room.
Frannie joined her a few minutes later after turning everything off. Theo was already at work.
"This is really good." She smiled at her only sister.
"Thanks I get like mom sometimes. Always cooking for my husband." Quinn stares at her sister chewing her food.
"Don't be like her. She never stood up for me when dad kicked me out. Also she drank all the time." She tells her sister before going back to eating her breakfast.
"Really? let's not bad mouth mom. Dad drove her to drinking with his demanding ways. Thank god she left him." Quinn just shrugged.
"Why did you cheat on your boyfriend? Didn't you have deep feelings for him?" "She hated whenever people asked her that question. It's not like she planned on cheating on Finn. It just happened.
"Of course I had feelings for him but I not sure they were deep feelings. I was also feeling fat that day and Puck made me feel better. Honestly I was having a bad day and Finn wasn't up for going to Puck's party. We got drunk, slept together and then came Beth. I regret it after I took the test but at the same time, I'm glad she's here getting a better life instead of being with a teenage mother."
Frannie was about to speak when Quinn kept talking.
"I could have been a great mother but I just wasn't ready for that yet. I'm going to be a Junior in high school in the fall, it just didn't seem right to keep."
"Why didn't you call me? She could still be in the family but I could have taken care of Beth. You gave her to some woman we barely know." Quinn sighs.
"It wasn't your choice to make Frannie. Don't forget that you barely talked to me at the time, you weren't there when I gave birth to Beth unlike mom was." Frannie huffs.
"Quinn you can't hate me for trying to be here for you now. Your the one that called me and asked if you could stay here for the rest of the summer. What's going on now in that head of yours?" She shrugged.
"No don't do that. If you want me to help you then I need more then just a shrugg of the shoulders. Talk to me please." Quinn frowns.
"I don't know what to say. I lost my best friends over a stupid mistake, I slept with my boyfriend's best friend and lied about the father just to keep my boyfriend but look how that turned out? I gave my daughter up for adoption to my former best friends mother and who really knows if I'll ever see Beth again. Life sucks for me right now."
"That's not true sis. People go through life making mistakes but they still live. You want to move on?"
"Yes I want to move on but it's not easy. I just want my best friends back and they aren't trying."
"Well I don't blame them. You told me that you've shown up at Rachel's dance class, her house, Brittany's house and Santana's house. That's crazy Quinn."
"They weren't answering my phone calls or text messages. What was I supposed to do?"
"Um get the hint that they weren't intestested in talking to you? What made you think they were?"
"I just thought that since it was summer that maybe we could work on our friendship." Frannie goes back to eating her breakfast.
"What do I need to do first? You want to help me, tell me what to do first." Quinn says to her sister before taking another bite of her breakfast.
"First finish your breakfast before it gets too cold." Quinn rolls her eyes at her sister.
"Second you need to be able to forgive yourself for everything that you've done." She stayed quiet chewing on her food.
"What if I can't do that? What if I'll get my best friends back? I need to start forgiving myself or else I'm going to be alone for a long time." Quinn thought to herself.
"You okay sis?"
"No but hopefully this summer I will be." Frannie puts her hand on her sisters.
"Everything is going to be okay. We are going to get through this together. It's what sisters do." Quinn stared at her sisters hand, squeezing it.
"Yeah." Both sisters smile at each other before finishing up their breakfast then they talk more.
