DISCLAIMER: I DON'T OWN GRAVITY FALLS

(A/N: To avoid any confusion, this story takes place at the same time as Mabel's showdown with Pacifica from last chapter.)

Trace and Joe were working outside when Mabel stormed out the Mystery 'S'hack. "Well there she goes," Trace said sadly. "Do you think Pacifica will fire us for this?"

"Are you kidding me, we'll be lucky if she just flushes us down her toilet!" Joe panicked.

"You're right, we're doomed," Trace agreed.

"Perha-a-a-ps I, can gi-i-i-ive you another option," a mysterious voice said to them.

They both turned around to see a cloaked individual standing behind them. "Who are you?" they asked.

"Call me G, I'm organizing an alliance to destroy our mutual enemy, Dipper Pines!" G said.

"Why would you think Dipper is our enemy?" Joe gulped.

"Yeah he's our cousin!" Trace added.

"No ne-e-ed to lie to me. I-I-I-I and fully aware of your true identities, copier clones 3 and 4!" G said.

"Wha...but how?" they asked.

"I know e-e-everything that happens in that sha-a-a-ack. Including what happen to your brothers. Join me a-a-and we will destroy them a-a-all. Then the Shack will be-e-e-e all yours to do as you please. Ne-e-ever again to fear water or be enslaved by the Northwest mai-i-i-iden." G offered.

"Sorry, but that sound just too good to be true," Joe said skeptically.

"If you co-o-ome with me I can show yo-o-ou," G said heading back into the woods

"Hey guys, we've got work to do!" Dipper calling the twins in. G ducked in the trees so not to be seen.

"Um Dipper, do you recall how you said you owed us for covering for you?" Joe asked.

"Let me guess, you're calling in those favors?" Dipper groaned.

"Yeah, something came up and we really have to go and take care of it," Joe said.

"Alright, but please hurry back, with Mabel gone we've got a lot of extra work to do." Dipper pleaded.

"Why, she does even less work than Wendy," Trace noted.

"I know right," Dipper laughed.

"HEY!" Wendy screaming her objection from inside the Shack.

The copier twins followed G to his hut. On the way there, they spotted several monsters that Dipper got in bad with. The Manotaurs, the gnomes, wax Larry King's head, just to name a few. Most were giving them the 'I'll kill you look', some even attacked them until G convinced them that they weren't Dipper Pines. Inside his cabin, the copier twins saw pictures, clippings, and schedules of everything that goes on in the Mystery Shack. Including things that the twins were unaware of. With this insider information, and the monsters gathering outside, chances are that Dipper won't survive his visit in Gravity Falls. "So-o-o are you i-i-in?" G asked.

"Give us time to think about it," Joe asked.

"Of co-o-ourse," G said showing them to the door. "Just meet me whe-e-ere we first met tonight to gi-i-ve me your answer."

"Are we really going to do it?" Trace asked his brother after walking a distance from the cabin.

"I don't know," Joe said reluctantly. Destroying Dipper and getting out of having to work for Pacifica would be a dream come true, but destroying everyone else would be a bad thing. In the past year they've been living here, they've grown to love Stan and Soos. Wendy goes without saying of course. Mabel they are still on the fence about, but she does make them laugh and she is fun to hang around with, when she's not being too annoying that is.

"A house is just a bunch of logs and brick, but a home is where your family lives." Trace quoted.

"You're right!" Joe said jumping up. "We should keep our options open! Come with me." Joe led his brother back to town where they started going to every store they came to.

"So what are we doing here?" Trace asked.

"Considering our options," Joe replied. "Assuming Pacifica fires us for our latest blunder, we will have to buy our own supply of hair spray. So we're going window shopping to find the cheapest one."

"Are you kidding me!" Trace snapped. "The Northwest family owes most of Gravity Falls, there's no way any store would be selling their stuff at a discount!"

"True," Joe agreed. They've already been to six different stores, all were selling the hair spray for the same price of $15 a can. Most likely the rest of the stores are the same. "Maybe we can find an alternative."

"Tried that remember," Trace reminded him. Shortly after they started working at the Mystery Shack, they experimented with different waterproofing on copier clones of small insects. Sadly Pacifica's hair spray proved to be the best. Say what you want about the Northwest, but their expensive merchandise is well worth the price. "Maybe we should consider G's offer." Trace suggested.

"Well what do we have here?" Pacifica's voice rang from behind them.

"PACIFICA!" they both jumped. To their surprise, they saw a small bruise on her left cheek. While they had no proof, they suspect that Mabel was the one who gave it to her. Which meant the worst possible outcome for them just happened. "Are we fired?" they gulped nervously.

"Fired, whatever gave you that idea?" Pacifica laughed condescendingly while rubbing her cheek. "Despite your blundering, things actually worked out in my favor."

"So we're cool then?" Trace asked hopefully.

"If by cool, you mean that you two are still working for me, then yes, we're cool." Pacifica assured them. "But of course I well be docking your pay in half!"

"But," Joe started to object.

"Unless of course you can prove to me that you're still worth my time and hair spray!" Pacifica dared them.

The clones glanced at each other, both thinking the same thing. Wordless they nodded at each other in agreement. "The monsters are gathering together in an attempt to get rid of Dipper!" They both told her, each taking turns telling her the details of what they know of this mysterious 'G'.

"Well, well," Pacifica taking a moment to absorb what she had just heard. "Looks like you two may be useful to me after all, and have earned yourselves a hefty raise."

"Really!" they said eagerly.

"Yes, double of our original agreement. All you just have to do is join this little monster alliance." Pacifica ordered.

"Join them?" they said in confusion. "Wouldn't it be better to warn Dipper about this?"

"We don't know what we're dealing with. If we tip our hand now, they'll know we're on to them. So for the moment it's best if we keep this between us. I want you keep me informed of what this G is up to, while of course doing your regular job of covering for Dipper at the Shack!" Pacifica instructed. "Understand!"

"Of course," Joe gulped nervously.

"Roger that, over and out." Trace sputtered doing a sloppy salute.

"Then go! And from now on, only text me! We don't want this G or any of his spies to eavesdrop of you." Pacifica warned. Pacifica watched as her lackeys ran off. "G huh, he's got some nerve to threaten my Dipper! Well I'll just show him what happens to those who cross me and the one I love!" Pacifica grinned with anticipation.

Later at the Mystery 'S'hack, Joe and Trace found Dipper sitting in the living room deep in thought. "Is there something wrong?" Joe asked.

"Hey guys, it's Mabel," Dipper said softly. "Earlier she went to meet with Pacifica and well I don't know."

"Where is she now?" Joe asked.

"In the shower," Dipper replied. "It's just that, she looks so, I can tell that there's something bothering her but she won't tell me what's wrong."

"I guess it was Mabel," Trace accidentally said out loud. Joe slapped him in the head for that.

"What?" Dipper demanded.

"We don't know for sure, but when we were in town, we saw that Pacifica had this bruise on her face, and thought that maybe Mabel was responsible for it." Trace looking away to avoid eye contact.

"Not that we're accusing her or anything!" Joe jumped in.

"I get it," Dipper sighed sadly. He was afraid that something like this would happen. "Was Pacifica hurt?"

"No she seemed fine," Joe said.

"Even better than fine in fact," Trace added.

"Thanks guys," Dipper said walking over to the phone. While he's positive that Mabel wouldn't hurt Pacifica too badly, he knew he should still be a good boyfriend and check up on her to make sure she's alright. "Hello Pacifica, it's me Dipper. I was just calling to ask how you're doing? Yes, I heard from the other twins. No Mabel hasn't told me anything."

Joe and Trace stepped out of the Shack and headed for the place where they first met G. Right on the appointed time the mysterious cloaked figure appeared. "Alright, we're in!" they both said at the same time.
