Chloe was spending time at home alone with Kiara since Raelynn went to London with Beca two weeks ago. They were going to spend two and a half weeks there, so they should be coming home on Wednesday.

Chloe Skyped with Raelynn everyday and she told her how her day went and what she and Beca did. The blonde was glad her girlfriend had accepted Beca back in her life and she was willing to get to know her better, but she was still careful, she didn't like that Beca hurt Chloe.

Aubrey had come two days ago to stay with Chloe, since she had two weeks off and she was gonna stay there. Living in Atlanta, she didn't have much time to spend with her best friend and since her boyfriend, Luke, was spending time with his parents in Fiji, Aubrey decided to spend her time with Chloe.

Chloe was on her laptop, looking through her emails when she saw that Raelynn was calling her on Skype, she frowned but answered.

"Hey baby!" Raelynn's face showed up on the screen and Chloe smiled, but she could tell something was bothering the blonde.

"Hey Rae, what's up? Why are you calling me so early?" Chloe asked.

"Well, there's something I found out like ten minutes ago and I had to tell you as soon as possible." Raelynn said.

"Yeah? What is it?" Chloe asked.

"Umm, I'm not gonna be returning home this week, I'm gonna come home only in the end of the month." Raelynn said with a 'I'm sorry' look.

"What? But babe that's two weeks! I thought you were gonna stay there until Wednesday?" Chloe said, clearly upset. "Isn't that what you and Beca had talked about?"

"Oh, this has nothing to do with Beca, she's leaving tomorrow. I'm staying because I've got an offer I simply can't turn down." Raelynn said, but she still looked really guilty. "But don't worry, babe, time will pass by and you won't even notice! Aubrey's over there with you, isn't she?"

Chloe sighed.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Well, I'll spend time with Aubrey, work a little bit and I'll see you soon?" Chloe asked, trying to be positive.

"Yes, that's the spirit, babe." Raelynn smiled proudly. "Okay, I gotta go, I have a meeting soon. I'll talk to you tomorrow, I won't come home until later."

"Okay, I'll talk to you tomorrow." Chloe said. "I love you."

"I love you, too, Red." Raelynn said with a smile.

Raelynn hung up and Chloe sighed, closing her computer and going to the kitchen and she walked out the back door to find Aubrey playing with Kiara.

Chloe smiled at the sight. She'd been feeling a lot better lately and she'd told Aubrey about it, she told her about how she got closure and that she was finally over Beca.

"Hey Bree!" Chloe said and the blonde looked up.

"Yeah?" she asked as she approached her, Kiara following her.

"I just spoke to Rae, she isn't coming back until the end of the month." Chloe said. "So we're on our own until then."

"So you mean I'm not gonna see her?" Aubrey asked, genuine sad.

Chloe chuckled.

"No." Chloe said. "I was actually gonna ask you if you felt like taking Kiara out to the park?"

"Oh, absolutely!" Aubrey said.

Chloe smiled and went inside to get Kiara's leash.

oO0Oo

Chloe had just finished lunch and she was watching some news on TV. She felt a little alone. It was Thursday and Aubrey had a meeting before lunch and she was gonna run some errands, so she'd only be back at night. Usually, Chloe would have no problem with it, but now she felt just plain lonely. Raelynn was traveling and she was probably in the middle of some photoshoot or interview or whatever, but she knew she couldn't Skype with her.

Chloe felt herself falling asleep in front of the TV and she curled up in a ball. The moment, her eyes closed, she heard the doorbell ring. Her eyes snapped open and she was going to answer it, but she thought it was just her mind playing games, but then she heard a knock. She groaned and stood up to answer it, even though she had no idea who it could be.

She looked through the peephole and was more than surprised to see Beca standing in the doorway. The two had hung out a few times during these last few weeks, but they weren't what you'd call best friends.

Beca had her arms around herself, as if she was cold even though it was damn hot out, and she was looking behind her.

Chloe opened the door and frowned at her appearance.

"Hey, what's wrong?" she asked.

Beca looked at her and she saw that the brunette's eyes were really puffy and red and the tip of her nose was red as well, a true sign she probably just broke down crying.

"Hey, uh… I'm sorry for s-showing up like this, but I… I don't know, I… I…" Beca stuttered and sniffed.

Chloe felt her heart break a little at the sight. She'd never seen Beca this hurt before. The brunette wasn't one to show emotions. She looked literally miserable.

"Beca, what happened? Are you okay?" Chloe asked, letting her in.

"Y-Yeah, I just… I just g-got off the phone w-with my dad and…" she sniffed again and looked around. She sounded like she had a cold because her nose was probably closed up from all the crying.

Chloe could see she was having trouble keeping calm, so she grabbed her shoulders as gentle as possible and led her to the living room.

"It's okay, calm down." she said and sat by her side.

"I-I'm sorry if I interrupted s-something, I didn't mean to." Beca said.

"You didn't." Chloe said.

"I… I didn't know where else to go, I…" Beca said. "I just got into my car and drove."

"It's okay, Beca." Chloe said. "You can always come here when you want to talk."

Beca looked down at her hands and nodded.

"Thanks." she sniffed.

"Would you like something to drink?" Chloe asked. "Maybe it'd help you calm down."

"Sure." Beca said.

Chloe offered her a small smile and stood up. She poured some juice into two glasses and returned. She handed one to Beca and sat down in front of her.

Beca took big sips of her juice before she put the glass down and took a few deep breaths.

"Beca, what happened?" Chloe asked.

"Well, I came home yesterday, but it was too late, so I waited for today to call my dad. I called him right before lunch and I… I thought he would be happy…" Beca shook her head as tears began slowly filling her eyes again. "A few minutes into the call and I could tell he was… c-crying."

Beca looked up as if to stop the tears and bit her lips.

"I asked him what was wrong and he said that talking to me was unbearable because… because I wasn't the same person, because… b-because I didn't remember him anymore." she started crying, wiping tears as they fell. "He… he asked me why did I have to try to kill myself and… d-destroy myself l-like this… I… I said at least I'm alive and he…"

Beca covered her mouth as a sob came through. Chloe could see her shoulders shaking and she felt sad.

"H-He said… 'it d-doesn't m-matter… the B-Beca I knew d-died in that accident. You're not my d-d-daughter a-anymore'." Beca finished and she broke down into fits of violent sobs.

Chloe sat beside her and put her arm around her. Beca immediately curled up into her and cried onto her shoulder for three solid minutes before her sobs finally died down and turned into sniffs.

"I'm so sorry, Beca." Chloe asked.

"M-Maybe I should h-have died in that accident." Beca said.

Chloe suddenly grabbed her face and looked straight into her eyes.

"Listen to me, Beca. You tried to kill yourself in that accident, but you didn't. And there's a reason. You're worth it, you have so much to share with the world and this project you and Rae are doing is one of them." Chloe said. "Your dad is devastated because you don't remember him. Trust me, I know your dad. He doesn't deserve you sometimes." Chloe said.

Beca suddenly frowned.

"I don't wanna get into that." Chloe said, shaking her head and letting go of Beca's face. "You lost your memory, that absolutely sucks, but this means you get to move forward and make some new memories."

Beca thought about it and nodded.

"You're right." she said. "Thanks, Chloe."

Chloe offered her a smile.

"You're welcome." Chloe said and stood up with a sigh. She grabbed the two empty glasses and brought them to the kitchen.

Kiara went into the living room and jumped on Beca, wagging her tail happily. The brunette giggled and stroked her ears with a smile.

Chloe came back into the living room and smiled at the sight.

"She knows when somebody's down. Don't you, girl?" Chloe said in a baby voice and Kiara barked at her, sitting down in front of Beca.

"She's a sweetheart." Beca said.

Chloe sighed and sat back down as she watched Beca playing with Kiara.

"Are you alone?" Chloe asked.

"Well, I'm always alone." Beca said in a sad voice as she played with Kiara.

"Well, would you like to do something? I don't know, maybe we could go out to eat something. Aubrey's not coming back until tonight, so I'm alone too." Chloe asked.

Beca looked at her and nodded.

"Sure, that'd be good." Beca said. "You're practically the only person I have left to count on."

Beca was looking down at her watch like it was the most amazing thing in the world as she said the last bit.

"You can always count on me." Chloe said. Beca looked up at her. "I promise."

Beca's lips broke into a small smile.

"Thanks, Chloe." she said.

"You're welcome." Chloe said. "So where do you wanna go?"

"Well, I still need a shower first." Beca said. "And I need to clean my face."

"Well, if you want, you can shower here and borrow my clothes." Chloe said.

"Really? Isn't that too much trouble for you?" Beca asked timidly.

"Not at all, you used to do it all the time." Chloe said rolling her eyes and chuckling.

"I did?"

"Oh yeah. Sometimes, I didn't even know you were in the house, I had to find out when you came out of the shower wearing my clothes." Chloe said.

Beca chuckled.

"Well… thanks, Chloe." Beca said as they went upstairs. "Really."

"You're welcome." Chloe smiled and opened her closet. "I don't think you've grown or gotten smaller, so all my clothes will fit you. You can choose anything, I'm gonna grab a change of clothes and I'll shower in the bathroom downstairs."

Beca nodded.

"Okay." she said. "Thanks again."

"You're welcome. And feel free to use anything in the bathroom, my makeup, my hair straightener, anything. There are towels under the sink." Chloe said.

"Thanks." Beca said.

"Stop saying thanks." Chloe said and Beca chuckled.

"Sorry." Beca said.

Chloe gabbed a change of clothes and some clean underwear and got out of the room.

Chloe went downstairs and took a shower, washing her hair as calm as she could. She took time to think about all this. Beca was upstairs in her bathroom, taking a shower and changing and she was… okay with it?

She felt sorry for the younger girl, seeing her cry like that was heartbreaking. Seeing the brunette's eyes puffy and red and seeing her so lost was something she never dreamed on seeing.

After her shower, Chloe got dressed, dried her hair and put a little bit of makeup. She put her shoes on and walked out, going upstairs. She found her bedroom door closed and gently knocked on it.

"Beca? Can I come in?" she asked.

She didn't get an answer, so she slowly pushed the door opened and looked around. She opened the door wider slowly as she came in.

"Beca?" she called.

"I'm here." Beca called out from the closet.

Chloe opened the door and stepped in relieved.

"Are you almost ready?" she asked.

"Yeah, I'm just putting my shoes on." Beca said. "I was thinking maybe we could go to the beach, I wanted to take some pictures. Spend the whole day out."

"Oh sure, that'd be good." Chloe said and sighed. "You love to take pictures, huh?"

"Oh yeah." Beca said. "There's something about being able to capture the moment. Some people show their emotions so clearly and being able to capture it into a picture is just amazing."

Chloe smiled.

"It's good that you like it so much. I've only ever heard you talk about mixing as passionately." Chloe said.

"Yeah, my dad said that too." Beca said with a sigh. "Raelynn shows her emotions so clearly, especially when she's with you."

Chloe smiled wider at that.

"Yeah, well, Rae is a model." Chloe said.

"Yeah." Beca said. "Do you think I could take some pictures of you and Raelynn together some time?"

"Yeah, I think that'd be okay." Chloe said.

Beca remained quiet for a while. Chloe grabbed her cell phone and checked for messages, seeing she got one from Aubrey, saying she'd come home for dinner. She replied, saying she'd be out with Beca all day and she'd be home before Aubrey.

Beca stood up and turned to Chloe. She was wearing one of her flower printed dresses, her hair was straight and it cascaded down her back until it almost reached her waist. She had light makeup on and she looked beautiful. No one could tell she had been crying, her eyes weren't puffy and red anymore.

"Wow!" Chloe spoke before she could stop herself.

"What?" Beca asked, frowning in confusion.

"Oh, I'm sorry, it's just… you look so… good, so different from what I was used to." Chloe said.

Beca looked at herself and straightened her dress.

"Thanks!" she said.

"Yeah, so let's get going?" Chloe asked, trying to forget about what just happened. She didn't want to be thinking about her ex like that, even though she had no recollection of being her ex.

Beca borrowed Chloe's sandals and they were off. Chloe drove to Beca's house so she could get her camera and she took the opportunity to send Raelynn a text. She felt guilty for doing something with her ex.

Hey Rae! I just wanted to let you know that I Bree had a meeting all afternoon and Beca showed up at my doorstep crying so I offered to take her out. Hope you're okay with that. I love you, miss you so much!

Chloe sent and sighed, hoping Raelynn wouldn't me mad. She felt guilty but she couldn't close the door on Beca's face and tell her to leave, especially now that she didn't have anyone. This new Beca didn't remember being Chloe's girlfriend.

They stopped at the beach and walked out. They took off their shoes and held them in their hands. Beca grabbed her camera and took a picture of a man who was holding hands with his daughter as he took her near the waves.

"Hey Chloe, would you mind holding my- your shoes?" Beca asked.

"Um, sure." Chloe said and grabbed her own sandals from Beca's hands.

"Thanks." Beca said and smiled, going back to her pictures.

Chloe smiled when she saw how passionate the brunette was, she'd take picture of strangers doing their thing with so much enthusiasm it was like she was capturing their souls.

Chloe looked around and walked towards the surf, deciding to do something instead of just standing there looking like an idiot. She felt the water between her toes and smiled, holding her hair as the wind blew. She started walking, thinking about Raelynn and thinking back to three years ago when she and Beca started drifting apart.

"Wow, those look beautiful!" Beca spoke beside her and Chloe jumped.

"Holy crap!" Chloe said, placing a hand over her heart.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Beca said. "Look, I took two pictures of you."

Chloe stepped closer to her and looked at the pictures she had taken. Truly, they looked beautiful.

"Yeah, they do look beautiful." Chloe said.

"I think Raelynn already told me, but are you a model, Chloe?" Beca asked.

"What? Me? No, I'm an editor of a fashion magazine." Chloe said. "Why?"

"Oh, no reason, it's just because you're so pretty, I thought you were a model." Beca said, shrugging.

Chloe blushed at the complement, but remembered she was supposed to hate this woman and tried to stop it, only to feel her cheeks burn harder.

"You don't have to blush so hard, Chloe, it's just a complement." Beca said giggling.

"Oh no, I just…" Chloe said, thinking of what to say.

"I'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable." Beca said. "But it's the truth."

"Thanks." Chloe said, still blushing. "I have done a few photoshoots here and there."

Beca nodded.

"Me too, actually." Beca said. "And a real magazine photoshoot. Hair, makeup, clothes, shoes. It was so much fun, I felt like a queen."

Beca giggled.

"You did? For a fashion magazine?" Chloe asked.

"Yeah. I had just returned from Russia and won a prize for my work there and they did an article about my photos, about me, how I dressed and stuff." Beca said. "It was fun."

Chloe looked around and saw that the sun was starting to set and they had to return to the car.

"We should be heading back." Chloe said.

"Oh yeah."

They turned around and began walking back to the car, when Beca stopped and took a picture of the sunset.

"That looks gorgeous." Beca said.

Chloe sighed and waited. Beca took one more picture of her without her realizing and they went back to the car.

They got in the car and started driving home.

"Thanks for this, Chloe, I really needed it." Beca said.

"You're welcome, I'm glad you're feeling better." Chloe said.

"How long did you know me?" Beca suddenly asked.

"Before our fight?" Chloe asked. The brunette nodded. "I'd say for about four years."

"Did I ever fall in love?" Beca asked.

Chloe looked at her with a frown.

"Why do you ask?" Chloe asked.

"I asked Jesse and my parents, but they said they didn't know, it was like they were hiding something from me." Beca said. "So, did I ever fall in love, did I ever date?"

"Well, you told me that you dated a guy when you were fifteen, but it only lasted two months." Chloe said. "Then, when you were seventeen you dated a girl and that lasted a year. Then you dated another girl before you went to college, but broke up six months later and then you got another girlfriend in college and that lasted three years."

"My parents or even Jesse never told me I was into girls." Beca said.

"Maybe they were afraid of how you would take it." Chloe said.

"Why weren't you?" Beca asked.

"Well, that's who you were, you have every right to know." Chloe said.

Beca looked out the window, deep in though. She dreamed everyday that she'd remember her past. She didn't have the slightest idea.

They remained in silence until they arrived back at Chloe and Raelynn's house. Chloe parked her car and the two got out.

Kiara greeted them happily, jumping and wagging her tail, barking at the two women.

"I missed you, too, girl!" Chloe said. "Are you hungry?"

"Chloe, I should get going, when can I give the clothes back to you?" Beca asked.

"What, you're leaving? You don't wanna stay for dinner? Aubrey should be getting home any minute now." Chloe asked.

"Oh, you were wonderful to me this entire afternoon, I couldn't possibly stay for dinner, I don't wanna be a bother." Beca said.

"You wouldn't be a bother." Chloe said. "You should stay, I'm sure Aubrey wouldn't mind."

"What about you?" Beca asked.

"I'd actually like it a lot." Chloe said, bitting her lip. She didn't know why she was suddenly desperate to spend time with Beca. She just didn't want Beca to leave, she just couldn't explain it.

"Well, if it's really okay, then I guess I can stay." Beca said.

"Yes, it is okay." Chloe said.

Beca gave her a small smile, which Chloe returned.

"Okay, so is there anything I can do to help?" Beca asked.

"Nope, you're a guest, guests don't move one finger here." Chloe said.

"Come on, that's the least I can do." Beca said. "And I want to do it."

Chloe sighed as they went to the kitchen.

"I guess I can find you something to do." Chloe said. "Aubrey wanted to order pizza, but I think we could make something for dessert."

"Oh, I know how to make the most delicious pie!" Beca said. "I call it 'suicide pie'."

"I can only imagine why." Chloe said.

Beca giggled.

"I need six chocolate bars." Beca said.

Chloe nodded and looked for the bars.

oO0Oo

Chloe watched Beca as she cooked. It turned out her suicide pie was extremely easy to make and it was almost all chocolate.

"No! Don't stop it, you're gonna eat it all!" Beca said laughing as Chloe grabbed yet another piece of chocolate and ate it, giggling.

"Come on, you have enough chocolate and I can't have one piece?" Chloe asked.

"One piece is fine, but you ate one piece about five times already!" Beca said and Chloe laughed.

"You're such a selfish cook." Chloe said, shaking her head.

Beca faked a gasp.

"Maybe because my assistant is keeps stealing the ingredients." Beca said as she finished the pie. "See? It looks beautiful!"

"It looks delicious." Chloe corrected.

Beca smiled and looked up at Chloe and she smiled back at her.

"I can't wait to taste it." Chloe said.

"You'll love it." Beca said.

Chloe smiled bigger. She looked deep into Beca's dark blue eyes and her makeup. Her face looked so clean and so beautiful, she never thought she'd see the brunette with this kind of makeup. She then looked at her hair and her dress. The dress looked amazing on her, it had a decent cleavage. She bit her lip when she saw Beca's boob freckle. She'd always loved that freckle and she told the brunette everyday. She didn't even notice she was staring at the brunette's breasts until she heard Aubrey's voice.

"Hey." she said.

Chloe snapped out of it and blushed a deep red, avoiding Beca's gaze, choosing to look at her blonde best friend instead.

"Hey Bree." Chloe said.

Aubrey raised a single eyebrow and crossed her arms.

"Can I please have a word with you, Chloe?" Aubrey asked.

"Sure." Chloe said and turned to Beca, who had a funny look on her face. "I'll be right back."

Chloe followed Aubrey upstairs to her room.

"Wanna tell me what I just witnessed in the kitchen?" Aubrey asked.

"What?" Chloe asked. "About Beca being here?"

"Don't play dumb with me, Beale." Aubrey said. "You were looking at her like she was a piece of meat!"

"I was not!" Chloe said.

"Yes, you were, you were staring at her boobs! I saw it, she saw it!" Aubrey said.

Chloe sighed.

"I don't know, I just…" Chloe sighed again, she had no excuse. "I don't know, Bree, I felt weird around her."

"She's your ex girlfriend, who cheated on you and left bruises on your face for a week!" Aubrey said

"She's not the same person, Aubrey." Chloe said. "She changed. Besides, it doesn't mean anything that I was staring at her! I love Raelynn!"

"I don't mean to be mean, okay, Chlo? You're allowed to feel anything your heart wants." Aubrey said. "I'm just telling you to be careful."

"I will, thanks, Bree." Chloe said with a small smile.

Aubrey smiled back at her and they went downstairs to eat dinner.
