Yeahhh. Here's an update. :^) This is kinda emotional... But fun (?) Whatever.
Garry heard a doorbell so he decided to open the door. It's 10:00am and he found an 18 year old, red-headed young lady. She is holding a card and a gift in a red, shiny wrapper with a fluffy ribbon.
"Excuse me?" Garry told softly.
The woman chuckled and gave him the present, greeting him a Happy Valentine's.
He accepted it and smiled nervously. "Thank you? Wait are you sure this is for me…?"
The red-head nodded, clinging onto Garry's arm, asking him to go with her on a theme park.
The mauve-haired shook his head, stretching his head a bit. "I-I can't… I'm…waiting for someone."
The girl frowned, pleading him to go, saying it's just for once.
Garry still disagreed. "Please. I-I still have things to do." He loosens the girl's grip, going inside his house, bowing. "I-I'm really sorry! I do appreciate your gift though. Thank you again!" He slowly closed the door, still eyeing the lady. "Phew! Annoying women… Girls are indeed creepy."
Ib decided to go to Garry's house. She then saw a lady with Garry. "They look sweet." She whispered. When the lady leaved, she draws near the door, grasping the box of chocolate. "Wait~ It is not right for me to give a chocolate to a guy who already has a girlfriend." She thought. After a minute, she knocks at the door.
Garry, after hearing a knock, groaned in irritation. "Not again." He whispered. Without opening the door, Garry uttered in a loud voice "How many times do I have to tell you I'm not going with you! Look, I know it's Valentine's Day but you're being annoying. I'm sorry to say but… I don't care about you being sad or what. Guys don't like clingy girls like you. Please stop." He paused, thinking for another excuses. Feeling that those hurtful words weren't enough, he continued. "…Besides, I … have a girlfriend already."
"Sorry for bothering you!" She said crying. Garry's words really sink in her mind and heart. "I'm really sorry." She silently uttered and run away. "Bye!"
He gasped, hearing Ib's voice. The girl he was waiting for. The reason why he didn't want to go with the red-head. Garry hurriedly opens the door, seeing Ib run away. "Wait Ib!" he exclaimed, running towards her. His clumsiness made him trip over something, but he tried to stand up. "I'm sorry; I didn't know it was you! Ib!"
"Annoying and clingy." Ib repeatedly told herself. She continue crying until a bus stopped. She goes in, thinking about Garry's words. "I'm annoying and clingy. Why did I bother a guy with a girlfriend?"
He rushed towards the nearby bus stop, seeing a bus stopping nearby. He hops inside. "I need to talk to Ib. This is a misunderstanding!" he whispered to himself, irritatedly scratching his head. "I should have opened the door! I'm so effing stupid!" he groaned in exasperation. "… I should apologize…"
She arrived at their house. The girl wiped her tears when her parents greeted her. She entered to her room and threw the chocolate at the window. Ib locked the door and weeps quietly. She just ignored the calls and knocks of her parents. "Why so dumb, Ib? Why?"
"Why so dumb, Garry?" he sighed as the stopped. He rushed outside, running as fast as he could. After arriving at Ib's house, he was hit by a chocolate bar on the forehead. "Ow…" he rubs his forehead and looks up. "Ib! I'm sorry!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.
After hearing Garry's voice, she closed the window and pull down the curtains. She continue weeping at the corner.
"F-." He goes in front of the door and knocks. "H-Hello? Anybody there?"
Ib's mom opened the door. "Oh, Garry. What are you doing here?" she queried.
"I… need to talk to your daughter." Garry huffed and puffed, glancing at the living room. "…Please."
"At Ib? I think you can't talk to her right now. And wait, you're the last one that she visited today. Do you know what's the reason of her sudden sadness?"
Garry sweatdropped at Ib's mother's words. "I-It was a misunderstanding. I need to apologize!" He looked down, looking at his feet.
"So you're the reason why?"
Ib's father glared at him.
Garry looked at Ib's father nervously while quivering. He nodded silently, clutching his fists tightly. "Y-Yes. I-I'm… so sorry."
Ib's dad punched him. And Ib's mother did the same to her husband. "Sorry, but I think you shall give her some time to heal."
Garry was startled at the scene. He rubs his cheeks, sighing loudly. "…Alright. But please tell her I'm sorry…" He steps backwards and turns around, walking away slowly.
After a few days, Ib wasn't that upset anymore, yet she is having a bit of what we call hate towards Garry. She turned on her phone. A lot of unread messages and missed calls welcomed her. It was from her friends. "Oh, my friends surely love me." The gal smile which quickly fades after remembering the man. "Even though I'm annoying and clingy for him." Suddenly a tear falls from her eye.
Garry tried to call Ib several times, but the phone is always busy. "C'mon Ib…" He tries to call the girl again, hoping for an answer.
Her phone rings… well, again. "Garry? He's trying to call again?" Ib quickly rejected the call after her words as drops of liquids start to fall from her own eyes which is known to be call tears. "Why? I don't want to cry. This is enough, Ib." She tried herself from doing the action, but she didn't manage to.
He looks at his phone and groaned. "Ugh." He dials the number again. "Answer it, sheesh!"
Ib answers the call withdrawing a sigh. "Yes, hello?" She uttered silently as she tries to stop herself from crying.
"Ib!" He slightly grinned. "Finally! Listen, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean that! Actually those weren't for you. An annoying girl. It was for an annoying girl. Please forgive me!" Garry's words were too fast, unsure if the brunette actually understood her.
"Stop lying Garry. I'm sorry for bothering you last Valentine's. Don't worry I'll not bother you anymore." Her tears finally stopped from falling. "I'm so sorry… I'll never… ever bother you again. Promise!"
"I'm not lying!" He exclaimed, holding the phone tightly whilst quivering. "…Even though you always barge into my house and… touch my things… you never bothered me." He looked down, gulping. "If you have ever bothered me, I shouldn't have protected you in the gallery. I wouldn't let you sleep at my house. I shouldn't have bought you costume last Halloween and celebrated every Christmas with you. Since the day we got out of the gallery, we've become closer. And after all those things, you never bothered me, Ib!"
"But you now have a girlfriend. I don't want to ruin your relationship with her." These words escaped her mouth after a few moment.
"…Aren't you…" He slowly spoke. "… my girlfriend?"
Ib paused for a while. Garry's words bugged her. "Of course, I'm not you're girlfriend. Stop making fun at me."
Garry chuckled, but stops; realizing this isn't time for joke. "To be honest, I still don't. It was just an excuse for the girl to leave me alone. If you were in my situation, you'd tell that to the girl too." He explained.
"Oh, but you told me that you wanted a girl to ask you for a date."
"She's not my type. Clingy? No." Garry sighed.
"Really?" Ib smiles before resuming to speak. "Then can I go to your house?"
"Are you sure? You're not mad at me anymore?"
"Do you want me to get mad?"
Garry shook his head, stammering. "N-No! Of course not."
"Then, I'll go there." She said and dropped the call. The girl then changed her clothes and grabbed a box of chocolates on her fridge and also a container which contains macarons.
As the call ended, Garry puts his phone down and jumps several times. "YES! FINALLY!" He was so happy that he forgot about Ib. "Ah, yes." He calmed himself down and changed his clothes into more formal one.
While walking, Ib met the girl she saw last Valentine's with Garry. She simply ignored her, yet the redhead girl noticed her, walking towards Garry's house. Without hesitation, she asked Ib if she's heading to her beloved's house. The brunette answered her with a yes and asked her why before walking faster, approaching the male's gate.
"Who… are you?"
"You don't need to know, miss."
"Yes, I need to know. You're not his girlfriend, aren't you?"
"Of course, I'm not." Ib uttered, entering the gate. She closed it afterwards.
"H-Hey! Then why are you giving him those!? Do you like him? Hey!" the red-head uttered.
Garry heard her and decided to come out. "Ib!"
"Garry," She then walked toward him and gave him the boxes she brought. "Belated Happy Valentine's Day."
The red-head frowned, seeing Garry hug Ib.
"Thank you for forgiving this idiot." He chuckled, "And for these, of course!"
"You're not an idiot."
"Yes, I am."
"No, you're not." She gets a macaron and put it on his mouth. "You're not an idiot, okay?"
Garry pinches her cheeks while chomping the macaron. "Geez, fine. I don't want to argue with you anymore." He laughed.
"Shall we go inside?"
" 'Course," Garry nodded, gazing at the red-head outside. He sighed and opened the door for Ib and waves goodbye at the other girl.
"I'll start bothering you."
Garry smirked. "Ne? I told you, you can never bother me."
"Really? But others can?"
He laughs and ruffles Ib's hair. "Yeah. Like that girl outside. Tch."
"Let me call her," She chuckled, "Kidding. Anyway, what's her name?"
"Eh? Her name? I don't even know." Garry raises a brow."I think she didn't even introduce herself. Wow."
"Nice. Wait, aren't you really interested with her?"
"No." Garry answered, "Told ya, she's not my type."
"So what type of girl do you want?" She asked as she sits at the couch. Just then, she noticed a bruise located on his cheek. "Wait- What happened?" She frowns and worries at the same time.
"Oh," Garry covers the bruise with his bangs. "It's nothing my idiotness went overload, that's why." He chuckled nervously. "Type of girl, eh? Maybe… the girl who would cuddle with me anytime and buy me macarons!"
"Oh? Do you have ice there?" She points at his kitchen as he wipes his bangs off his face using her other hand.
"N-Ne, it's fine!" Garry slaps Ib's hand slowly. "It'll heal eventually. Don't worry!"
Ib gets some ice and cover it with a clean thin towel. "Don't lie. What happened?" She said as she gently apply it on the area of Garry's bruise
He reluctantly holds his bangs for Ib. "Your father." His eyes twitched as the ice landed on his cheek. "Ow…"
"My father what?"
Garry fakes a tear, saying "He tortured me for making you cry."
"Torture you? But you only got this." She uttered, poking his bruise.
"Ow!" he winced, "I got bruises on my other parts, okay?" Garry said a lie and looks away.
"Not believing."
"Do you want to see them?" Garry slightly raises his shirt.
"N-No." She repeated her action.
The lavender-haired smirked and nodded. "Of course, of course~." He puts his shirt down, covering his pale skin.
"Done." Ib puts the towel away as he frown at him.
