Golum936:

Thanks, sorry about not responding to your review in the last chapter. I don't know what happened. Anyway, I'm glad you're liking it. I appreciate your suggestions. The first one is the one that I typically have the most trouble doing. Romance and emotional aspects tend to give me difficulties. As for the political actions, I've got some plans in regards to that. As for your question, yes, the other choices will be done and they will be like the what if choices. The next ones will be as if he chose those cards rather than the Naruto one.

coduss:

Glad you like it. Hope that continues to be the case.

Chapter 7:

A Sandy Reunion!

While I was meeting with the Hokage, Naruto and Sasuke were playing 'ninja' with the Konohamaru Corps. They were having fun until a certain short-tempered, pink-haired kunoichi ran into them.

"Hey, Sasuke," Sakura said, "Would you like to go hang out?"

"Sorry, Sakura, but I'm playing ninja with my friends and brother right now," Sasuke said, gesturing to Naruto and the Corps.

"Oh, come on, Sasuke, we haven't hung out once since we became a team!"

Sasuke sighed, "Sakura, don't use that team excuse when you just want to go on a date with me. If you really cared about the team, you'd invite both me and my brother to these little gatherings of yours."

"Hey, Boss Sasuke, who is this? Your girlfriend?" Konohamaru asked, making Naruto giggle.

"No, she's just our teammate, Sakura," Sasuke said, jabbing his elbow into Naruto's ribs to get him to stop laughing.

"Well, that's good she's way too scary looking for you, Boss Sasuke," Konohamaru said, making my two sons flinch.

The grandson of the Third Hokage noticed this and their looks of worry aimed at something behind him. When he turned, Sakura was glaring at him, cracking her knuckles and an aura of death surrounding her.

"What did you say, you little brat?" she growled, making the young kid shake and sweat with fear.

"Uh, Konohamaru, you might want to run," Naruto whispered to his 'student.'

The little kid didn't need to be told twice as he ran sprinting through the alleys with a furious Sakura hot on his heels. The other two members of the Corps and Sasuke and Naruto were hurrying after them to ensure that Sakura didn't hurt Konohamaru too badly when the leader of the Corps collided straight into a certain make-up-wearing Sand ninja and I'm not talking about Temari, though she was there too.

"Ow, that hurt, you little brat!" Kankuro yelled, grabbing Konohamaru by the scruff of his shirt.

"Hey, let me go!" the little kid shouted.

"No way, not until I teach you a lesson, punk!"

Temari sighed, "Kankuro, just put him down. You're gonna get us in trouble and you know that you-know-who is going to be pissed if that happens."

"Relax, Temari. It'll only take a minute, besides he's not here anyway."

"Hey, let Konohamaru go or else!" Naruto commanded as he and the rest of the group reached them.

"Or else what?" Kankuro dared.

"We'll make you!" Naruto said, tapping Sasuke on the arm, signaling to him his plan.

Sasuke nodded his understanding before throwing a couple of stones at Kankuro, beaning him right in the forehead. Naruto ran forward in a burst of speed, grabbing Konohamaru before he hit the ground and jumping back to his stepbrother's side.

'Damn, these guys are good,' Kankuro said, reaching around his back to grab the bandage-wrapped object he was carrying.

"Wait, Kankuro, you're not going to do use that are you?" Temari asked, shocked, 'Damn, if he uses that, there's no chance I'll get a date with one of these two local cuties!'

"Don't worry, Temari, I'll end this quick," Kankuro said, pulling the mummy off of his back.

"I don't think that's a good idea," Sasuke said, frowning.

"Oh, why is that?" Kankuro asked, smirking.

"Your friend in the tree looks a little pissed off," Naruto said, pointing to a tree to their left.

That made his eyes widen with fear as he looked to the tree to see his red-haired brother standing upside down from the branch, glaring at him.

"G-Gaara! I can explain!"

"Shut up, Kankuro or I'll kick your ass again," Gaara said in a threatening monotone voice, "You've embarrassed our village with your actions." With that, Gaara disappeared in a swirl of sand to reappear next to his siblings.

"Man, Gaara, why do you always have to threaten me?" Kankuro asked rhetorically, while he rubbing the back of his head.

"Just be glad that he's calmed down over the years," Temari said, "if he didn't, Gaara might have killed you by now."

"Enough, you two," Gaara said before stepping towards my sons, "I apologize for my brother's actions. I am Gaara of the Desert. These are my siblings, Temari and Kankuro."

"I'm Sasuke Farnsworth-Uchiha. This is my brother, Naruto Farnsworth-Uzumaki, our teammate, Sakura Haruno, and our friends, Konohamaru Sarutobi, Moegi, and Udon."

"Wait, Naruto? That's what you said his name was, correct?" Gaara asked.

"Yeah, why?" Naruto asked, only to be answered by a wave of sand attempting to grab him, though it missed when Naruto jumped out of the way. "What the hell's your problem!?"

"I'm going to kill you and everyone else that man cares about, starting with his sons!" Gaara shouted as he sent another massive wave at Naruto, this one a lot bigger than the first.

Luckily, a totally awesome, badass, and extremely handsome ninja came to his rescue, dispersing the sand wave before it could do any damage. Can you guess who that was? That's right, it was Wade to the rescue!

I stood between Gaara and Naruto, making certain to keep an eye on the sand.

"Gaara, what are you doing? Why are you attacking my sons?" I asked.

"Because I want to make you suffer!" Gaara growled.

"What? Why?"

"You pretended to care about me, but then you acted like I didn't even exist!"

"What do you mean? I couldn't take you with me to leave your family. I told you that."

"That's not it! The letters! You never once responded. It took me a while to realize, but when we met, you were just being nice to keep from being killed, even if you gave me good advice. You thought me a monster just like everyone else!"

"What letters? What are you talking about? I never received any letters," I said, thoroughly confused. I really had no idea what Gaara was talking about.

"You lie! I had Baki send a bunch of letters over the years and he assured me that they went out without a problem."

"Well, either he was lying or mistaken because I never got any letters from you!" I shouted.

Gaara seemed to at least calm enough to listen a bit more, "Why should I believe you?"

"Think about it for a second. If you're sure that Baki is beyond reproach, then clearly someone intercepted your letters. Noone in the Leaf would have a reason or even know about it, so clearly it was someone from your village. A village, I'd like to remind you, is run by your father, who has tried to have you assassinated and, should that fail, miserable at every turn!"

Temari and Kankuro, knowing the truth of my words, flinched slightly. Gaara's eyes unfocused for a moment as he considered my words. When he'd reached a verdict, he looked at me and called his sand back into his gourd.

"I need to think more on your words. I will let you know what I decide," Gaara said before turning away to walk away with his siblings.

"Translation: I haven't decided if I'm going to kill you yet," I muttered as the Sand siblings left.

Naruto and Sasuke came up behind me, Naruto speaking first, "Hey, Pops, who was that?"

"That was Gaara. You remember I told you two about him from that mission I took to the Village Hidden in the Sand?" I asked.

"Oh, yeah, I remember now!" Naruto said, snapping his fingers.

"Hey, Dad, why did he seem to think that Naruto was your only son?" Sasuke asked, hurt present in his voice.

"Because I met him before your mother and I got together, so at the time I met him, Naruto was my only son."

Sasuke nodded in understanding, "Okay, I guess. So, what were they doing here in the Leaf village anyway?"

"Remember I told you two about the Chuunin Exams? Well, this year they're being held in the Leaf village. If I had to guess, Kakashi will be telling you about them during your team meeting tomorrow," I said, "Now, I'll leave you all to your fun. Naruto, Sasuke, be sure not to be late for dinner. You know how much Mikoto hates that and you really don't want her to send Anko after you two again."

Both of my sons gulped nervously at the memory of their mother, Anko, finding them late after not getting home in time for dinner and chasing them with large snakes all the way home from the other side of the village, while throwing needles at them. They shivered at the memory before hastily nodding in agreement and simultaneously saying, "Yes, sir!"

"Good, I'll see you later, sons. I gotta get home and take care of your younger siblings," I said before heading out, waving back at my kids.

I didn't realize as I left them that I was being watched by a certain Sand trio.

"What do you think about him, Gaara?" Temari asked, watching me leave.

"I don't know. I mean, I want him to be telling the truth, but…" Gaara trailed off.

"But you don't exactly have much luck with trusting people," Temari finished.

"Yes, but also he's the one who taught me the secret to control my demon and to connect to you and Kankuro. Not to mention, he's apparently raising someone like me, which tells me that Shukaku's presence doesn't really bother him, so if I was right, then he abandoned me for another reason."

"Don't take this wrong, Gaara, but I really hope you do turn out to be wrong. I think it would do you some good to have some more friends your own age," Temari said, smiling at him.

Gaara smirked at his sister, "You're only saying that because you want to ask that Sasuke guy out."

Temari blushed and giggled embarrassed, "You saw that, huh? Yeah, it's kinda hard to find a cute guy that isn't too afraid of you or me to ask out. So yeah, I would like to take advantage of it."

"Then, I hope I don't end up having to kill him," Gaara said, walking back towards the hotel that he and his siblings were staying at.

That night after dinner, I was explaining to Naruto and Sasuke how difficult the Exams are, while seriously hoping that the exams were much different than in the canon. I was also giving the two of them seals on the biceps. I told them that it would help them track one another if they got separated from one another. This was actually only a part of truth. They were modified by yours truly in anticipation of the possibility that a certain snake-using traitor would follow the same plan from the canon. Sasuke's seal works kind of like a vaccine for the cursed seal. Man, I can't tell you how much work I had to put into that seal. I had to pretty much tear through the Uzumaki library just to find the information that I needed. Anyway, it'll prevent Sasuke from gaining a cursed seal, which should hopefully prevent Orochimaru from getting his fangs into the boy. Sasuke would probably be the best target for the snake Sannin, since he was young enough to have almost limitless potential and was the only Uchiha his age. Also, Naruto's seal not only prevents him from being affected by a Five Pronged Seal and for good measure, he got the Cursed Seal vaccine as well. I also added a flying thunder god seal into the mix with a detection seal that would alert me if Orochimaru got anywhere close to them. That way, if that snake-using freak got anywhere close to my kids, I could go and kick his ass! What? I take my protection of my kids very seriously!

Anywho, I made certain that the two boys got to bed early for the training that would be occurring the next day. Once the two boys were in bed, I joined my two brides in the living room where they were feeding our two newest children, Ryota and Chie.

"So, are the brats in bed?" Anko asked, removing the bottle from Ryota's mouth as the infant yawned and fell asleep in his mother's arms.

"Yeah, they've got a team meeting and training tomorrow, so I wanted them to get a good night sleep for it," I explained.

"Well, we'll put the young ones to sleep, then, we could go to bed as well," Mikoto said, making me look at the clock.

"It's a little early to go to sleep, isn't it?" I asked, confused at this plan, at least until the devious smiles appeared on their faces.

"I don't remember Mikoto saying anything about 'sleeping,' babe," Anko said, as she and Mikoto walked past me to take our children back to their rooms, an extra sway in their hips as they moved.

Admittedly, it took me a few seconds longer to get out of short-circuit mode than it should have, but once it did, I started sprinting to the bedroom. What? They're smoking hot, my wives, and suggesting a threesome! How would you react? Besides, things were probably going to get a lot more difficult from this point on, so I might as well get my fun, since it's possible I'll die when the invasion starts, even if I warned the Hokage about it already.
