Mending Time
An: I don't own Zeke and Luther
Seven.
Both women rolled their eyes as the boys nearly fainted before them.
"Oh no you don't," the women with black hair frowned. "Oh no you don't Zeke. I've seen you shocked by my announcements before. I've been through this too many times."
Zeke arose slowly. "Do I know you, and how did you get in here?"
Luther arose eyeing them suspiciously. "Oh silly, I'm Mrs. Falcone your Wife…you better remember me."
Mrs. Waffles giggled. "Olives, you must remember they are sixteen, not our real husbands."
She sighed. "I know, oh well, looks like our children have really done it this time."
"Speak for yourself," Mrs. Waffles glowered. "My daughter was simply an accomplice."
Mrs. Falcone wore a dark navy blue spaghetti strap dress that hit her knees. Her dark black hair fell casually around her shoulders. She gave Zeke a warm smile before giving him a wink.
"Aren't they cute Mable?" Mrs. Falcone asked Mrs. Waffles. "Just so young, just like I remember him."
Mrs. Waffles giggled looking at Luther. "Hey baby."
Luther blushed furiously. Mrs. Waffles sat beside Luther. "So, our real husbands are at work late again I see."
"Um," Zeke stuttered. "Hello."
Mrs. Falcone smiled placing a slim arm around Zeke's shoulders. "Don't be nervous, it isn't like we bite. When our husbands said you two would be here… first we freaked and then it just became real funny. And I heard you cured my husband's depression. You have no idea how much I really appreciate that. Really, it was such a wonder to see the Zeke I know again."
She gave him a thank you kiss upon his cheek. It left a hot sizzling smudge of soft red lipstick. Zeke flushed deeply.
"Olives, stop it," Mabel chuckled. "He is only sixteen."
Olives winked. "I know, but he is so cute."
"Excuse me," Luther stated nervously at the closeness of his future wife to him. "Where…uh…diddd."
He stuttered. "I…"
"We came back from a spa trip. It got extended when our husbands decided we needed more relaxing time," she stated. "They are so sweet to us."
"Well, have the children eaten?" Mrs. Falcone asked them as if they were truly their husbands. "Never mind I'm sure they have, but I'll ask. The future has really made cooking obsolete but I feel like cooking something special, right Mabel? We have guests."
Mabel agreed. The women headed into the kitchen. Both boys let out a huge breath.
"Those ladies are our wives in the future?" Luther questioned looking back. "Gosh."
Zeke had a goofy grin upon his face still feeling the kiss.
"Hey, you know, Z that one with black hair looks like…"
A bigger grin formed upon his face. "Don't say anything, let us not jinx it."
Luther chuckled lightly. "Let's go our ladies await."
"Luth," Zeke chuckled. "They are like in their thirties or whatever, besides they were just being nice or something."
Luther smirked. "I wasn't saying flirt back. I'm saying help cook. Because, that is how sweet we are."
Zeke chuckled. "Sure."
And they headed into the kitchen.
"Craig," Mrs. Falcone smiled softly. "It is so nice to see you, but does your father know you are here?"
He nodded. "Sure does and even if he didn't wouldn't be a big deal on my part. He doesn't have to know everything."
"Right," she smiled softly.
"Dinner is great mom," Tony said quickly trying to avert her attention. "Love the mashed potatoes the most."
Noah giggled poking at the peas on his plate. "Our computer didn't make this…it is funny food mommy."
Zeke took a long look around the table. It was an interesting meal time for him. His future wife sat alongside his future children. At the table there were his future family friends chatting up a storm. Although, the setting was bizarre he would miss it after they had left.
"Okay," Mrs. Falcone announced. "Bed time, Noah."
"Aw, Mommy, I want to wait for my other daddy."
"Your other daddy?" she questioned curiously.
He pointed at Zeke a small grin upon his face.
"Oh right, how about this daddy tucks you in your bed," she suggested.
He arose from the table grabbing onto Zeke's hand. "Come on daddy. We got to tuck me in, okay?"
He grinned brightly. "Of course."
As they headed toward the den he overheard Mrs. Falcone tell Tony Craig would have to head home. He found Noah's bedroom at the far end of the hallway. It was a strange distance away from the other rooms. When he walked in his eyes opened wide. The room stretched across the distance of half a football field. It was stocked full of gadgets a young boy would care for. At the end was a large bed. Off to the side was a door where Noah disappeared into. He climbed onto a stool where he grabbed a toothbrush.
"Brush, brush, brush your teeth," he sang with suds in his mouth. "Brush it til it's clean, merrily merrily merrily merrily, clean is the best thing."
He snickered softly. Noah was quite an adorable child. He frowned remembering the conversation Mr. Falcone previously had with Tony. How could anyone hate such a young joy as, Noah? But he didn't want to think about it, because it only brought pain. Watching his future self-slap Tony only broke his heart.
"Okay, daddy, I'm done, come on!"
He dragged him out of the bathroom and into the large room. He jumped onto the bed and sat there waiting for Zeke. He snuggled under the covers. Slowly Zeke pulled the covers up to his neck. The little boy yawned tiredly.
"Love you daddy," he responded sweetly. "Good night. Sweet dreams."
He smiled. "Love you too."
He headed over to the door where he was about to turn off the main light.
"Turn on the night light please." he pointed at the fourth switch.
He agreed flipping the switch. In the corner a small cube came to life bursting with small light.
"Good night, Noah."
Noah drifted off to sleep soft snores left his small frame. When he headed out of the room he spotted Mr. Falcone in the hall walking toward him.
"Tucking, Noah in?" he asked.
Zeke smiled tugging at his shirt collar nervously. "Yes. Sorry."
"No problem," he responded. "Sometimes my job keeps me late."
Zeke sighed.
"Heard Ozzie is going to make you a personal time machine," he said. "That is a pretty big honor. He has strict rules regarding time traveling devices."
"Yeah, he was pretty cool about it," he remarked as they headed off toward the den.
He noticed below Luther, Jewels, and Mrs. Waffles were just arising from the table. He had thought they would be gone. He rushed to Luther.
"Well see you tomorrow," he smiled.
"Of course."
"Slow butter?" Luther asked hand extended.
"Slow butter."
After they headed out the front door. Mr. Falcone watched Mrs. Falcone walk them outside. He turned to Zeke.
"You should head to bed too."
"Right, night."
And he headed to his guest room.
They got daily updates from Craig about the time machines. Ozzie was running on schedule. He would have the time machine done within two days like he promised. Unfortunately, this meant he wasn't going to run early. Zeke and Luther were once again feeling restless but currently they were out of the house. Their mind was no longer on the predicament.
They met up with Craig and Mark at the joint they had commented about. It was an old fashioned diner with electronic menus at the booths. They didn't know the future had such places.
"Pretty much just made 300 hundred this week," he grinned. "So I'll pick up the bill."
Craig rolled his eyes. "Sure, flaunt your cash why don't you."
"Hey you too can work for your money."
"Not when I'm at space military."
Tony grinned. "You never pick up the bill. Why is today so special?"
"Cause I have enough money to buy myself a pretty dang good car, that is why," he responded. "So I'm celebrating with my friends."
Luther smiled. "Maybe I'll get a job. I need to make money."
"You know this is the most fun I've had with your rents, Tony," Mark remarked. "They have always been so boring to me."
"Yeah, except your mom," he stated. "She is totally hot."
Tony narrowed his eyes ignoring the comment. "Yeah, Zeke is real cool."
"Can't believe you really brought your parents from the past," Mark replied. "That is the coolest thing ever. When I found out I had to see it for myself."
Craig grinned. "Why else do you think we came here? I had to prove to this guy that I was telling the truth."
Jewels giggled. "It has been some ride. But soon it'll be over sadly. It is been nice having my dad around. We are on the same level for once."
Luther stretched. "Yep. Jewels is something else."
"Ah? Really? They go home soon?" Mark frowned. "Too bad. It is pretty cool have this big posse. Now it is back to four."
"Or three," Craig added in. "I'm off to space military tomorrow afternoon. Today is my last day of freedom before I have to return to the school of crazed alien teachers and even more crazed alien students."
"Sucks to hear," Mark stated honestly. "Have you convinced the old man to let you get out of school?"
"He worships the place, so I can't get it in his head that the place actually sucks."
Mark shook his head in disapproval.
"Rank," he responded. "Let us make today worth it than."
"Do you mean trouble making worth it?" Craig smirked.
"Only kind of worth it."
All the other occupants of the table eyed them strangely before it began to dawn on Jewels.
Jewels frowned crossing her arms.
"No, no trouble making. I agreed to come because we were having a nice lunch, but I don't want trouble making."
"Relax, cherry top," Mark snickered. "Just innocent fun…watch. Miss? Miss?"
A robot appeared before him. The robot had no specific gender just a metal outer surface.
"Sir, my gender is unspecific," it spoke automatically. "What would you like?"
"Yeah, I'd like, something better," he said. "Something not worse, but better and I'm not getting it."
Zeke and Luther watched the youth speak with the robot. It was a strange request to ask of the robowaiter and they were curious of the outcome.
"Your directions lack specific instructions, better…what would you require better of?"
"Better, you know," Craig smirked. "Better."
"Better my databank holds information regarding a long list of better," it spoke. "I can only run through the list in hopes of finding better."
"Well get to it, I don't have all day."
While the robot scanned its file eagerly Jewels frowned. She turned to the trouble makers quickly. She didn't know exactly what they were up to but if she knew Tony's friends it wouldn't be something she enjoyed in the slightest. In the past she had witnessed some horrible pranks and she didn't know if she was ready for another one.
"What is going on?" she demanded. "I don't want to take part in this."
"Sh," he hushed. "Watch."
"Files scanning all possible options of better, better meal options sandwich or possibly burgers, steak, lamb chops…"
The robot began to shake rapidly before it sizzled and there was a huge pop. A tiny explosion burst from the head of the robot. Mark let out a shriek of laughter. The robot was fried.
"Wow, that's it?" Luther questioned. "You destroy the bot?"
"Wait for it… and duck…it is going to blow!"
"What?" Tony hollered. "Thought that was it."
They dived under the table. The robot rumbled. A large warning sign appeared telling the customers to duck or leave immediately. After ten seconds the robot exploded into a million pieces. Debris scattered around the restaurant thankfully missing human patrons. Unfortunately, in the process it scuffed some tiles and scratched walls. Craig burst into laughter.
"Good one, Mark."
After five minutes of silence they decided the coast was clear. As they snuck out of the establishment grins took up Mark and Craig's faces.
"If this what future kids do for a good time," Luther commented. "Then I'm going to have to remember to duck."
Jewels crossed her arms. "We don't do troubling things, dad. It is just Mark and Craig."
"Sh, can it."
"Well…"
"I said can it," Mark retorted. "Hello officer."
"Mark Magliochette? Son of Karen Magliochette and Rick Magliochette, Julia Jewels Waffles, Craig Kelphart, Tony Hawk Falcone, and two time travelers breeching time traveling strict policies."
Mark bit his lip. "So, Robocop, nice weather huh?"
"Yes, indeed the weather patterns promise no rain this week," he spoke seriously. "But this is not the topic I wish to discuss. You all have been charged with damages to…"
Suddenly the Robocop titled over losing power. Craig appeared from behind the Robocop holding the Robocop battery.
"We are going to have to run," he ordered. "Quickly!"
After Craig dropped the battery they all made a run for it. When they appeared at Tony's door step they were all out of breath. Mark was choking from laughter. He sporadically smacked Craig upon the back.
"Good plan, Craig," he laughed. "Taking out the battery."
Tony frowned. "This is not good. I can't be in trouble with the law again. I just got on my dad's good side. Literally guys."
Mark smirked. "Relax goody goody. I'm sure we are in the clear. Robocops never got to finish his statement. By the time back up arrives all that will be left is a battery."
Tony narrowed his eyes shoving Mark into the wall. "You don't understand dang it. My dad actually believes in me now. I was this close to getting traded in. And you are going to mess that up for me, you idiot."
Craig frowned pulling Tony off of Mark. "Hey, hey remember all for one and one for all. Mark and I will take on the full charges we are already in trouble anyway."
Mark frowned remembering Tony's fathers warning. "Wait a minute…so these guys were the holograms from the skate park…meaning I went down to the station for them."
Zeke laughed. "Yes…and you two better do it again before their real parents find out."
Mark sighed. "Sure. We were just having some fun, Craig goes back to space school and wanted today to be memorable…you know worth it."
Jewels huffed. "We could have a nice calm evening."
Mark rolled his eyes. "Who asked you?"
She grunted and crossed her arms annoyed.
"Well I better go."
Craig nodded. "Me too. I have to get packed for space school before my dad freaks. See you later Tony, Jewels. Oh and Zeke and Luther if I don't see you two tomorrow have a nice trip back to the Stone Age."
Zeke frowned. "We aren't that old."
Both boys laughed as they walked off. "Sure."
Tony let out a sigh. "My two good friends the biggest trouble makers on the block."
He shook his head sadly as they walked in.
