Author's Note at the End

Previously:

I flinch when she yells, "Tris!"

I can see the look of confusion in all of there eyes as they see Rose, but I mostly see the hurt.

My voice is some how strong as I answer a small, "Yes."

It's funny after you see someone who you haven't seen in almost 2 years, and they look exactly the same. Christina is wearing the same exact type of clothing, although her dark chestnut hair is slightly longer than I was last time I saw her it barley makes a difference. Marlene looks different with her now blondish colored hair and who now apparently wears deep red lipstick. Shauna, well, there's nothing really different.

"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?" Christina literally shrieked. I don't get to answer before she asks me more questions.

"WHY WERE YOU GONE!?"

"DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I WAS!"

"WHO'S THIS!" She asked pointing to Rose.

"HOW LONG HA-" I hurried and cut her off, all of her shouting was making Rose more upset.

"Christina! Shut. Up." I tell her in a very stern voice, my glare matching hers. She looks at Rose, who's crying hysterically wanting her bottle. I think she finally gets that she's making Rose cry. While she stopped talking for a moment, I hurry and get the bottle and give it to Rose. I smile as she immediately stops crying.

"Yeah, who is that?" Marlene asks saying the same question at Christina. While looking over Christina's shoulder down at Rose

"Her name is Rose and she's my daughter." I say carefully, waiting to see their reactions.

"Sense when do you have a daughter? Is that why you left?" Shauna asks.

"Partly. But, there's much more I need to tell you." I say. I look at Christina who has been quite during all of this.

"Chris?" I ask quietly.

She looks at me with such anger, betrayal and sadness. It's almost hard to look at her.

"Chris?" I ask again, almost pleading.

She doesn't say anything, just stares at Rose. Then she turns around and and walks out of the house.

"I'll be right back." I say to Marlene and Shuana.

I slowly walk through the house and outside.

Outside, Christina is sitting on the porch, she's staring ahead. I can tell her mind in racing. I go and sit down next to her.

We sit in silence for I while, probably waiting for one of us to say something. And finally I do.

"Christina I'm so sorry."
