Chapter Six.

Senji walked back into the diner with several emotions swirling inside him. He walked to his sit at the counter and sat down, folding his arms and putting his head down. He couldn't believe this. Lelouch was gone, he was never going to see him again. Was this all his fault? Was it because he tired to kiss him that night, that things turned out like this? He couldn't help, but wonder if he had just kept his feelings in check would this had happen. Would Lelouch tell him that he couldn't be near him anymore for the sake of his marriage and child? If this didn't happen would Lelouch ever had told him he was pregnant to began with? He would of understood, he wouldn't have saw him any different. Sure it was... surprising, but he still would have accepted Lelouch all the same.

He loved him after all.

"Why didn't he ever tell me?" He thought.

"Um... Senji-san?" The brunette lifted his head to see who had called.

"Hmm?" He hummed not really in the mood for talking.

"W-what happened?" Brooky asked shyly. They had all saw what had happened through the window, but they didn't know what had been said between the two. From the look's of it though, it couldn't be all that good.

"Nothing." He said. He really didn't want to talk about it right now, all he wanted to do was forget.

"Oh come now, Senji-Chan," Gin said. "we just want to help." The brunette sighed. He knew they weren't going to let up about it, specially since they saw most of it. So he told them everything. He had started from the beginning about who Lelouch had been staying with him and Lloyd, since Gin and Brooky didn't know that. He told them about the kiss all the way up to the present about what had happened outside, even about Lelouch's pregnancy. He explained that he didn't know what to do now, and how lost he was feeling at this moment.

"I just don't know what to do..." He finished putting his head into back into his hands on the counter. The group was quiet for a moment, looking at each other unsure of what to say. None could have suspected all of this had been going on, specially Lelouch being pregnant. They wanted to ask how that was even possible or if he was sure the raven wasn't just lying about the baby for some unknown reason. They liked Lelouch, a lot, he seemed great, but they haven't exactly know him for that long. For all they knew he could just be lying about it just to end whatever... this was between them.

Some of them started to think maybe this wasn't a bad thing, that this had ended. Even though they supported Senji in whatever he did, it had been hard for them to support him through all the months of him drooling over the taken raven. And hearing him hurt about how he couldn't be with the raven. It hurt them all knowing it hurt their friend like thought it was cute at first, their friend having a little crush on a costumer, a lovely one at that, but as the months went on they started to see that the crush disappearing, but becoming worse. To the point that the staff became to see how unhealthy for him this "crush" was. But none of them knew how to break it to him, to get him out of this crush on the married man and back to the real world and hopefully move on.

But maybe now was the time.

"Uh... Senji-Chan?" Gin said being one of the first to speak. Senji lifted his head up slightly to look at the cook. "You think maybe, um, this could be a..."

"What Gin is trying to say is..." Brooky started, but stopped unsure how to phase what they wanted to say correctly. Senji looked between the two confused. Lloyd sighed sounding slightly annoyed.

"They want to say that this was for the best." The bespectacled man stated. He hated when people would beat around the bush. "And have to agree with them." Senji sat up straight and glared at them.

"What!?" He yelled. Why would they say something like this. How could this possibly be for the best, couldn't they see how heartbroken he was? "How could you say that!?"

"W-we're sorry Senji but..." Brooky said nervously. "It's just this... crush wasn't really... healthy to begin with." Brooky said careful, trying not to make her friend angry. "I mean he was married..."

"Yeah Senji- I mean you had to see this coming..." Gin added.

"No I didn't." Senji said trying to get a hold of his anger. He didn't know what he thought would come from his crush on the raven, but he didn't see this. At first he had just thought it was a crush that would pass, but as time went on he fall in love. He didn't know when it happened, but it did. He knew the other was married and he had respected that, but now, knowing that the other feels the same, he didn't care. He was in love with him and he wanted to be with him.

"I have to agree." Lloyd said. "I mean what exactly you thought was going to happen?" He asked.

"I... I don't know." He answered.

"Of course you didn't," The lavender haired man said. "Let me ask you this, if he did leave his husband for you, than what?"

"I..."

"Let me guess you don't know the answer to that either right?" Lloyd said cutting him off. "Was he going to live in the dorm with us? In the closet? Hiding him from the dorm master and the school every time they came by, risking expulsion?"

"I don't know!" Senji yelled. Standing up abruptly, knocking over the bar stool. Lloyd stood up as while coolly.

"You don't know anything." Lloyd said. "You never think things through, you just do things without thinking going into something head first, just to crack your skull wide open."

"Shut up!" Senji yelled.

"No," Lloyd countered. "You think you're what he need's? You think you're "love" is enough to get him and solve all your problems? Well news flash, it isn't, You can't give him anything but a headache and more trouble."

"I said SHUT UP!" Senji grabbed Lloyd by his collar pulling him close, his fist cocked back like he was going to punch the other. Lloyd completely unaffected by his friends blow up just smirked at him.

"Senji stop!" Brooky begged, but Senji didn't listen as he glared holes into his friends skull.

"Why are you always like this? Why can't you just be helpful!?" Senji asked, anger clear in his voice. "I need you to actually be a friend and help me! Not make me feel worse about myself!"

"Who say's I'm not?" He said with a smirk. Just then the brunette felt a hand being placed on his wrist. He looked over his shoulder to see Yuri holding his wrist. The older male shook his head letting him know this wasn't right thing to huffed and let go of Lloyd rough none too gentle.

"I'm out of here." He muttered as he made his way of the diner. The group watching as he left.

"Was that necessary?" Yuri asked in his usual bored tone. Lloyd looked at him and looked back to the door.

"Maybe, maybe not." He answered with a shrugged. "Doesn't matter really, all of this will end soon anyway." Yuri raised an eyebrow at this.

"How is that you know this?" He asked. Lloyd shrugged again.

"Call it a sixth sense." He said. "You feel it too don't you?" Yuri let a small sigh and nodded. He did, but if this ending would be good or not was lost to him. He hoped for the good for the sake of his employee and friend. Senji deserved happiness, wherever it might come from.

"He has some taste in men, to chose the one with the most baggage." Lloyd said with a chuckle. "To pick someone with that amount of damage, what was he thinking?"

"Careful," Yuri said with a smirk. "if I didn't know any better, I would say you care about him." Lloyd scoffed.

"As if." He said. "Him and I were thrown together by circumstance and that's all." It was only because that damned school took in more students then they could house was the only reason why they knew each other. If that didn't happen then they both wouldn't have even known each other. Let alone become friends. He was a sociopath, he didn't have feelings or make friends.

Nope, there was no way he was friends with that idiot.

And there was no way he was worried about him.

Nope.

"Sure it is." The blonde said unconvinced as he started to walk away. "You two, back to work." He said to the others who had been standing there in silence.

"Uh... Right." They said in unison.

Senji.

"Stupid."Senji muttered. He was walking through a small park annoyed, kicking every other rock he saw like it had done something to him. Why did they have to do that? How could they just ask him to give up on his feelings? Did they really think it was just that easy? He was in love with someone! He couldn't just it give up like it meant nothing to him. Even though he was hurt about how things had gone down and wish it could go away. "I have any of them ever been in love before?" He mumbled to himself as he walked through the park. If they had, they would know that just giving up on your feelings just wasn't really a choice.

But, he really didn't know what to do.

He wanted to respect Lelouch's choice, he really did, but it was taking everything he had not to go to the ravens house and beg him to reconsider. To think about it, But he couldn't do that, it wouldn't make things better. If anything it would make things worse and he was sure Lelouch didn't tell his husband about any of this. And Senji wasn't one to go and ruin the ravens marriage to try to be with him, that wasn't him. He doubted that it would work anyway. He wasn't sure what to do with himself or his feelings.

"Maybe they're right..." He sighed sadly. "Maybe I should have known this would have happened." But how could he? True, he didn't know where his feelings for the raven where going to go when he developed them, but he didn't think to expect this. That he would fall in love with Lelouch, him loving him in return only to then be rejected ending up here alone and heart broken. He couldn't predict this. who would? Senji sat down on a nearby bench tilting his head back and let on a tired sighed.

When did his life get so complicated?

Lelouch.

Lelouch was in the kitchen finishing the diner he had started before he left, but he had trouble focusing. His mind kept going back to earlier and the scene that had unfolded in front of the diner. He felt so bad, he was sure he had hurt Senji's feelings, something he would never want to do, but it had to be done. They could never work, he was married and with child and Senji was in the prime of his life. He made the choice that he wanted to stay with his husband for the sake of their child, but if he didn't make that choice he was sure Senji wouldn't want to be tied down with him and a baby anyway. he deserved better then him. He deserved someone with no baggage and give him the things he was sure he couldn't.

"I'm so useless," He said with a sad sigh. "He would probably get tired of me." He couldn't do anything right. He was bad cook, he couldn't clean, he could never get laundry right, he was sure Senji would tire of him within a month or so. Lelouch couldn't give him anything more than a headache. Yes, he was better off without him in his life.

"Yeah, this was for the best..." He muttered to himself as he fixed his husbands plate. Lelouch never ate with his husband, as the other preferred to be alone. Just at the thought of his husband he heard the sound of jiggling keys and the front door opening. Lelouch sighed lightly and began to sat the plate on the table. The raven heard his husbands footsteps got ready to greet him.

"W-welcome home..." He said shyly as his husband walked into the kitchen. Suzaku said nothing as he walked into the kitchen and sat at the table and began to eat. After a moment Lelouch began to leave, so his husband could eat in peace , but as he walked passed his husband the other had grabbed his wrist stopping him. The raven let out a light gasp at the sudden motion and looked at his husband with wide eyes. The man was looking at him, but at his food, making Lelouch scared. Did he do something wrong? Was the food cold? Was it not to his liking? So many questions ran through his mind. "H-husband...?" The other said nothing at first, which made the raven more terrified.

"Sit down." He finally said in a calm tone, making Lelouch nervous. Suzaku rarely ever used that tone with him, so it made confused. While the raven as thinking, the other seemed to get impatient and gave Lelouch's wrist a tight squeeze making Lelouch wince in pain. "I said, sit. down." The raven whimpered and nodded as he quickly did what he was told. The raven sat in front of the older male nervously fiddling with his thumbs wondering what this was about. Suzaku said nothing as he ate his diner quietly. Lelouch wonder what his husband could be thinking about. All he knew for sure was that it couldn't be good. His husband was never been this calm with him before. He would use a calm like voice sometimes, but the other would strike him moments after, but he he hadn't done that yet.

"Maybe I did something really bad..." But what could it had been? His husband had just got home. What could have he done in those few minutes. Lelouch wanted to ask, but he wasn't sure if he should speak. He didn't know if it would anger him or not, but he didn't want to risk it, so he said nothing.

"How was your day?" Suzaku asked nonchalant making Lelouch eyes widen slightly in surprise. The question had caught him completely off guard, his husband had never taken an interest in anything he does before. It made his stomach twist into unbearable knots, making him feel like something was very wrong.

"Ah... It was fine..." He answered shyly.

"What did you do?" The brunette asked, not liking up at the other as he continued to eat.

"I... Ummm..." It was strange, but lelouch had a ominous feeling when Suzaku asked him that. everything he did minutes before was coming to mind. The yelling, the tears, that kiss. All of it came to mind, making his chest hurt, but he sucked it up and answered his husband. "J-just cleaned... and cooked... thought about baby names... thats all..." The brunette gave an acknowledging hum and continued to eat.

It was quiet again between the two, but it only lasted a moment.

"Do you love me Lu-Lu?" The brunette asked suddenly making Lelouch look at him confused.

"Wha...?" He muttered confused. "Why did he ask me that?" He wondered. Where was this going to go? And what was just as odd was that he called him by his old nickname. Suzaku hasn't called him by that in years, not since high school. This was making him a little worried. What did he do this time? To make his husband call him by that name, it had to bad really, worse than anything he had ever done.

"Do you love me?" He repeated as he cut into his food and taking a bit, barely looking at him.

"Y-yes..." He answered with a faux smile. "I love you Suzaku, with all my heart..." "My chest feels tight when I say that..." It made it feel like he was lying to his husband.

And he sure he was.

The brunette said nothing for moment as he continued to eat his dinner Lelouch had made.

"Do you?" Suzaku asked. "Because all you seem to do is prove to me how much you don't." Suzaku put down his fork and knife down and stood up from his seat. He walked over to where Lelouch was sitting. Before the raven could respond, Suzaku had grabbed him by his neck and pulled him out of his sit. Lelouch eyes widen in surprise as he pulled out of his sit and pushed hard against the edge of the sink with such force, he was sure his tailbone was bruised.

"Wha-a-'' Lelouch stuttered out. Suzaku had a tight hold on his neck, but not too tight that he couldn't breathe or talk.

"You must think I'm fucking stupid." The brunette growled. Lelouch looked at the man with frightened eyes. Suzaku looked beyond furious with him, he looked like he was ready to kill him.

"I-I-I don't u-understand..." muttered out scared and confused. what was his husband talking about?

"Don't play stupid, I saw you."

"W-h-aa...?" Lelouch muttered. " I don't..."

"Don't fucking play with me!" The brunette yelled at the frighten male, cutting off. "I saw you with him! That man I told you to stay away from!" Lelouch's eyes widen as he realized what his husband was talking about. But he was hoping he was wrong. How could his husband possibly see them, He should have been at work. "Oh god..." He thought to himself, his husband was going to really going to give it to him for this and it was nothing he could do about it. Suzaku had never been this mad at him before and he could understand why. He basically caught him cheating. "But it wasn't even suppose to be like that!" He had went there to end everything, not to cheat.

"S-Suzaku-"

"I don't want to fucking hear it!" He yelled pulling Lelouch off of the sink and throwing him to the floor. Before Lelouch could collect himself, Suzaku was on top him and something cold was against his throat. The ravens eyes widen when he realized what it was.

It was a knife.

"What are you-" Lelouch started, but stopped when he felt the blade pushed harder on his throat.

"Shut. Up." The brunette hissed making Lelouch silent. "I'm so sick and tired of you and your- stupidity!" The raven looked at his husband with wide eyes. Suzaku had the most crazed look in his eyes, making Lelouch tumble in fear. Lelouch wanted to say something anything to calm his husband down, but he couldn't. Nothing would come out of his mouth. "I tired, so, so very hard to make you perfect, but all you ever did was mess time and time again and I'm tired."

"Suzaku-''

"SHUT UP!" The brunette screamed causing Lelouch to jump at the booming voice. "I'm so sick and tired of trying to make you a good wife." He told the terrified raven. "In high school I thought I saw something special in you, something worth marrying, but I couldn't have been more wrong about you." He glared at the shaking male under him and continued. " I was coming home early to surprise you know? Because you had actually been to doing better, only to drive by that damned diner to see you with him." he finished snaring at the very thought of that man and him touching what was his.

"Husband please listen I - Ahh!" Lelouch was cut off by a hard slap across his face.

"I said shut up!" Suzaku at the now hurt male. "I always knew you were a whore, that thing inside probably isn't even mine." The angry brunette pressed the blade harder to Lelouch neck, drawing a little blood. Lelouch flinched at the flesh wound, it stung really bad, but it was hard to focus on the pain with Suzaku hovering over him staring at him with such hatred in his eyes. Suzaku had never been this mad at him before, be was unsure if he could talk his way out of this. "Well I'm done trying." Just then Suzaku took the knife lifted it in the air making Lelouch's eyes go wide.

"Is he...?" A wide sinister smile spreed across.

"So I've decided..." He said, his smile growing wider. "If I can't have you, nobody can!" Just as Suzaku began to bring the knife down, Lelouch brought his legs up and pushed the other off of him with all his might. The raven jumped up to his feet quickly and began to run and only to fall again. He looked to see that his husband had grabbed his ankle making him fall.

"Ugh..!" Lelouch held his stomach in pain. Falling like that had sent a wave of pain through his body from his stomach.

"Where do you think your going dear?" Lelouch looked behind him and saw Suzaku grinning at him wickedly. "The fun hasn't started yet." Lelouch looked at him with wide eyes.

"He's finally snapped..." Lelouch thought terrified. Slowly Suzaku pulled Lelouch towards him and raven began to panic.

"NO! STOP! PLEASE!" The raven screamed struggling to get away from the other. struggling, Lelouch had manged to kick to his husband in the face and get up running out of the kitchen and into the open area in the front of the house. Lelouch looked to his left and his right in a panic, wondering with to way go. Before he could chose, Suzaku ran into the same area and blocked the front door. The brunette had blood coming from his nose from Lelouch kicking him in the face.

"Going somewhere?" He said in a dark tone. Lelouch turned from the other and ran up the stairs. Suzaku watched the raven go up the stairs and smiled.

"Let the fun begin."
