Katsu and Kurapika walked down the streets after buying packets of dango. Katsu wanted to so strolling outside with Kurapika and would not stop torturing him with her denseness until he finally agreed. Katsu popped two dango into her mouth and chewed on it contentedly,
"I love these! They're so cute and tasty!"
"I think they're average" Kurapika said without looking at her.
"You're so gloomy…"she pouted.
"You're so dense," he shot back.
"Wha-" Katsu leaped away instinctively without completing her sentence as Kurapika did the same. Her heart pounded loudly against her chest, as her limbs tingled uneasily.
Fear
That was what people called it.
Such a sudden murderous aura… She could not help but shiver.
What came crashing down between them was a familiar figure. He was not big or muscular, in fact he was rather small-built. The sinister figure rose as he forced his fist out from the messily cracked tiles.
Katsu's heart stopped.
Feitan? Why is he here?! …are the rest here too?
She looked across him to see the unforgettable pair of furious scarlet eyes.
"Genei Ryodan…" Kurapika recognized him immediately.
With its name flashing repeatedly in his heart of vengeance, he clenched his fist as he thirst for revenge.
However, nothing made any sense. How did the Ryodan know is location? Why aren't they cautious of him? Or at least why isn't the member of the Ryodan before him cautious? He took a quick glance at Katsu as suspicion rose in him.
No, it can't be…she'd be the worst spy anyone can send out…
"This is where you rest, Chain User," Feitan smirked, interrupting his thoughts.
Without warning, Kurapika shot his deadly weapon at the Ryodan member, who swiftly dodged it by barely a few inches.
Too slow.
Kurapika swung his metallic chain of anger at him again, which he just ducked with the chain swinging through his hair.
Faster!
He swung his hatred downwards so suddenly that this time, Feitan could not evade. The chain caught his arm. Kurapika could take no chances. He wrapped the rest of the chain aroung the Ryodan's body, binding him completely.
Katsu just stood there. She couldn't go against the Ryodan, but she couldn't go against Kurapika either. She knew, that the day would come when she have to choose one of them.
"Back off Katsu!" she heard him shout. He sounded annoyed but his words were always filled with an unknown warmth.
"Oh?" Feitan whistled, smirking again,
"You like her?"
"Shut up."
"Is she precious to you?"
"Shut up."
Feitan frowned, then twisted a twisted smile on.
"Shall I kill her then?"
Kurapika's eyes widened in both horror and anger,
"Shut up!" he screamed as the chains around him tightened,
"If you touch her, I'll kill you," he threatened.
"Even if I don't, you'll still kill me," he laughed.
The scarlet glowed even more viciously upon the sound of the laughter.
Feitan then glanced at Katsu whereas she flinched upon such a stare.
"Kill him."
Those were the words she feared to hear most. But she knew, that was the reason why she was sent here. Yet, both her feet refused to move even an inch.
"Betrayer." She heard him mutter.
No! That is not what I am! I don't want to betray the Genei Ryodan! I…I don't want to betray anyone…
But…
Her crimson eyes wavered, as she made her final decision.
"I was here to kill him."
