Ch. 7: Day After
It was the early hours of Christmas morning before Casey stirred, moving herself closer to Olivia when she felt a chill on her back. "Merry Christmas," she whispered
Olivia turned back to her. "Merry Christmas," she told Casey, covering her back. "What should we do today?"
"Elliot said if I was feeling up to it, we could join him, Kathy and the kids for dinner. If you want to?"
Olivia sat up. "Sure, but first sit up and close your eyes."
Casey gave her a puzzled look as she did what the detective instructed.
Olivia silently pulled the present from it's box, taking Casey's hand, keeping it hidden in the palm of her opposite hand. "Open."
Casey opened her eyes looking to their hands then to Olivia
"Case, I know we didn't have the most conventional start to this relationship, but, other the past few months, I've realized that you're the only want beside me. You smile and you make my day better, but if you cry, my world stops until I bring your smile back. What's happened has made me grateful for every little thing in my life. I love you. and...And I don't ever want you to go away. So, Casey Novak, will you marry me?" she asked, holding up the engagement ring.
Casey's eyes spilled with tears as she nodded. "Yes," she managed weakly.
Smiling, Olivia slid the ring onto Casey's finger.
"It's beautiful, Liv," she whispered, kissing Olivia gently.
"I'm glad you like it," she said, snuggling into her.
Casey smiled, kissing Olivia's cheek. "We should get married soon."
Olivia smiled. "Casey, you're doing better. We don't need to rush into things."
"But we love each other and I want to be Mrs. Benson so why wait? If it's taught me one thing it's that life's short."
Olivia kissed Casey's cheek. "Casey, I still think we should wait a bit longer. The chemo effects are still wearing you down."
Casey nodded kissing Olivia gently. "But not to long."
Olivia sighed. "I just want you healthy, ok?"
"I know. Wait here a minute..." Casey said, jumping out if bed, returning a few minutes later, "I got you this..."
"Ooh, what is it?" she said, taking the gift.
Casey smiled, watching her closely as she unwrapped the box. Inside, it contained a silver locket, with a picture of the two of them inside.
Olivia held the delicate necklace, opening the locket. "It's beautiful, thank you," she said, hugging her tightly.
Casey held her close. "I can't believe we're spending Christmas together. Our first."
Olivia smiled. "Yes. It's a real miracle, considering... Will you promise me something?"
"What?"
"If it happens again, please tell me so I can give you all the support you need."
"It's not going to."
"I know. IF it does..."
"I'll try."
Olivia smiled. "Ok."
"I'm going to make you breakfast," Casey smiled, standing.
Olivia smirked. "Ooh, a double treat. Breakfast and my naked fiancée."
Casey slapped her arm, wrapping herself in a robe heading to the kitchen. She busied making breakfast humming a tune as she cooked. Today really was a great Christmas.
Olivia walked from the bedroom to the bathroom to shower quickly. After she got out, the detective changed into comfortable clothes, walking out into the kitchen, hugging Casey from behind, kissing her neck. "Morning."
"Mmm morning. You have perfect timing," she said, lifting the plates from the counter.
"Oh, that smells good. Counter or kitchen table?"
"Let's be proper and eat at the table," Casey smiled, her hand shaking slightly.
Olivia held her close. "Still a little tired?"
"A little, but we can sleep later. It's Christmas after all. Shall we eat?"
Olivia nodded, carrying Casey to a chair as she brought the food over with the plates, cutlery and drinks.
"I can walk you know," she smiled. "I'll text Elliot after breakfast and say yes?"
Olivia smiled. "I know and yes, after breakfast."
Casey smiled happily. "I love you," she said softly, her foot lightly traveling up Olivia's leg as she ate.
"I love you too," she said, her breath hitching as she felt Casey's foot coming up her leg as she ate.
Casey calmly ate, pressing her foot between Olivia's legs.
Olivia smiled. "Something wrong with your foot?"
"Cramp," she insisted.
"Ah, well, in that case," Olivia trapped Casey's foot between her legs massaging it.
"Mmm," she said softly, managing to free her foot, sliding down her chair so her foot could move higher. Her toes gently grazed Olivia nipple.
Olivia almost choked, chugging down water.
Casey smirked, pulling her foot away. "Much better," she said, sitting back up.
"Oh, yeah. Perfect. I almost choke to death," she said with a sigh, taking another drink.
"Not my fault you can't swallow," she smirked again.
Olivia sighed, getting up to put her plate on her sink.
"Are you ok?" Casey frowned.
Olivia nodded, sitting back down. "Yes." Casey nodded, picking up her phone. 'Merry Christmas! Still ok for this afternoon? X' she text, then moved into Olivia's lap, hugging her tight.
Elliot picked up his phone. 'Hey, Merry Christmas! Yep, around four."
Casey moved to check her phone. 'Great! See you then x' she text back, then turned to Olivia. "We have until four," she whispered, sucking just behind her ear.
Olivia moaned, holding Casey's head to her. "Mmm. I want you...hard..."
"Couch? Kitchen table? Counter? Shower?" she smirked, her teeth grazing Olivia's neck.
"Hmm..." Olivia smirked, carrying Casey and sitting her on the kitchen table
"Here?" Casey asked, opening her robe, crossing her legs.
"Yes here," Olivia said, sliding Casey's robe down and sucking hard on her neck.
Casey tilted her neck to allow Olivia greater access, letting out a throaty moan.
Olivia rested her hands on Casey's back to hold her there.
"Do your worst," she whispered.
Olivia shed the robe from Casey, then had a thought. "Permission for something we haven't used before?"
Casey nodded, kissing her gently.
"Are you sure? I know we've talked about it..."
"Yes. I want to."
Olivia nodded. "Then just try to get comfortable and I'll be right back."
Casey smiled, for the first time not feeling self conscious, as she shifted comfortably.
Smiling, Olivia walked back to their bedroom, digging into the nightstand for the necessary items, then walked back out to Casey.
"Mmm hi."
"Hi," the detective said, slowly equipping the toys and standing in front of her. "Which way?"
"Your choice," Casey smirked.
"Hmmm, well I'd really like to see your face so..."
Casey bit her lip as Olivia approached, her breathing slowing as she took in her form, moving comfortably so she could face Olivia.
Olivia smiled, cupping her face. "However you want to do this is fine by me."
Casey pressed a finger to her lips. "Enough talking. Stop worrying that I'm some sort of China doll. I'm ok, I promise and I want whatever you can give."
Olivia nodded. "I know," she said, positioning the toy just right, before stroking upwards with her finger over Casey's clit.
"Oh god," she moaned at the unexpected touch.
Olivia smiled, repeating the motion a few times.
Casey moaned softly. "I love you."
"I love you too," she said, kissing her, then deepening it at she slid in a few inches.
Casey moaned desperately, deepening the kiss.
Olivia moaned, sliding in the rest of the way, groaning at how perfect it felt to be this close. Her arms wrapped around Casey's back as she broke the kiss. "How do you feel?"
"You make me feel amazing."
Olivia smiled. "I'm glad because that's exactly what you are. Now, one last question: do you want me in control or do you want to be?"
"You. Definitely you."
Olivia nodded, pulling Casey to her, starting slowly.
Casey kissed Olivia lightly, pulling her closer.
Olivia smiled. "Wrap your legs around me," she moaned.
Casey slowly wrapped her legs around Olivia, moaning softly.
Olivia put the robe behind Casey, so she wasn't hurt, going a little faster.
Casey moved against her. "Oh... mmm..."
Olivia moved a bit faster, holding Casey to her. "Case... Mmmm..."
Casey moaned louder, tilting her head back as the pace quickened once more.
Olivia held Casey's hips, pulling out before slamming back in.
Casey's cheeks became flushed, her breathing quicken and she gasped every time Olivia repeated that action. "O-Olivia!"
Olivia repeated the action. "Casey! I-I can't...I-I think..." her legs were already trembling.
Casey held Olivia tightly as she nodded, feeling the detective against her. Casey moved harder against her strokes. "OLIVIA!" she screamed, tipping over the edge.
Olivia held Casey tightly, collapsing onto the table, screaming into her shoulder as she fell over the edge.
Casey moved Olivia's head to kiss her deeply. "I love you."
The detective kissed Casey. "I love you."
"You seem to have this habit of making me completely exhausted," she whispered.
Olivia smiled. "We could nap for a bit."
Casey nodded. "But not for long because it's Christmas."
"Yeah, I know. This was your other present."
Casey smirked, allowing Olivia to help her to lie down, moving into her arms. "Is it really cold in here?"
Olivia took off the toys, covering them up. "How's this?"
"Much better," Casey smiled, quickly falling asleep.
They arrived at Elliot's shortly before four, Casey's hand gripping Olivia's tightly.
Olivia looked at her. "What's wrong?"
"It's been so long since I've been out a well woman, just nervous."
Olivia smiled, kissing her gently, rubbing her ring. "It's ok," she said, getting out and opening Casey's door for her.
Casey smiled, walked up to the door to knock, Kathy letting them in watching the chaotic children when she walked in. "Hey," she smiled at Elliot when he emerged.
Olivia smiled, escorting Casey in. "Merry Christmas guys."
"Merry Christmas!" they shouted back. Casey leant into Olivia as they sat, nodding when Kathy offered them a drink.
Olivia took the beer she was offered, twisting off the lid. She suddenly had an urge to show both her necklace and Casey's ring off, but the ring was Casey's to show.
As if reading her mind, Casey looked at Elliot across the room and when their eyes made contact, she held up her hand to show off the ring with a grin.
Olivia smiled, wrapping an arm around her, hugging her tightly.
Elliot smiled. "She thought you'd like it."
"And, being completely, honest, I knew, once enough time had passed you would say yes. I just had to wait."
"Oh did you?" Casey smiled, kissing Olivia's cheek before one of the children took her hand so she could be moved to the floor, joining in their game.
Olivia smiled, relaxing on the couch. It wasn't often they got holidays off, but this was very nice.
Casey was great with the children and Elliot sat next to Olivia."How was her appointment?"
Olivia smiled. "Good as far as I know. She had me wait outside and didn't exactly tell me. All she said was she was actually looking forward to Christmas."
"Well, she looks the happiest she's been in months. I'm so glad for both of you. You've got so much to look forward to together now without that hanging over your heads."
Olivia smiled. "Yeah, hopefully. Only..."
"What?" he asked quietly.
"..She wants to get married right away. I mean, I understand from what's happened, but for some reason it makes me a bit suspicious," she whispered.
"Have you asked her about it?"
Olivia shook her head. "No. But she's happy. She's committed to me. But maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions here."
"She loves you. After what she's been through, I think her response is perfectly normal."
Olivia nodded. "Yeah. It is. I guess, after everything, I'm just upset that she won't tell me. If she's happy, shouldn't she tell me?"
"Unless it hasn't sunk in for her yet? Especially if she'd already convinced herself it hadn't worked."
"Yeah, maybe," she said, taking a swig.
"When you get home later, ask her. If you don't I know it'll burn in your mind."
Olivia sighed. "Yeah. Always."
Casey gave a loud laugh at something one of the children said, then stood returning to Olivia.
The detective pulled Casey into her lap, hugging her tightly.
Casey stayed close to her, returning the hug. "What's on your mind?" she whispered.
"Later," Olivia said, kissing her cheek.
"Promise?"
Olivia nodded. "As long as you'll answer my questions."
"Of course," Casey smiled, giving Olivia a sneaky kiss.
"Promise?"
