A/N~ So this is the beginning of me writing longer chapters, as everything was leading up to the chapters that will follow :) BTW, another Beatles song is the title of this one, 'She's Leaving Home'. It's there because that's basically what Elisia did to those who adopted her. And it's a spoiler slightly for something in a MUCH later chapter :) Enjoy and PLEASE COMMENT! EVERY COMMENT IS LIKE A FUZZY HUG THAT BASICALLY MAKES ME WARM AND HAPPY FOR THE REST OF THE DAY SO YEAH. Oh and I don't have Sam doing this when I cut myself, so I don't own them :)
I woke up pressed next to Sam on the couch, him running his hands through my hair. It was relaxing, so I kept my eyes closed
"You'll have to wake her up soon," I heard Dean's voice. So everyone was up and doing things but me?
"Just let her sleep for a while. She can't live on four hours of sleep like you can," Sam said. He continued to stroke my hair. I sighed a little and continued to enjoy the feeling.
"Bitch," Dean said.
"Jerk," Sam reciprocated. This sounded almost like a fond saying, but it was also slightly strange. I wanted to laugh, but that would blow my cover.
I didn't know how long I had been in that half awake state before Sam was gently shaking me awake.
"C'mon, Elisia, you need to get up. It's almost`nine," he said calmly. I carefully opened my eyes and adjusted to the light.
"When did I fall asleep?" I asked, my voice quite and small.
"During the credits," Sam said, adjusting himself so that I could sit up. After I was sitting normally, Sam put his arm around me again.
"We don't have much to do today, so we'll chill here at the motel until about 10 tonight. That's when the demon should strike and we can kill it," Dean interjected, grabbing a beer from the fridge.
"Do you really expect us to stay in the hotel room until then?" I asked. What exactly would we do?
"There's a pool and a bar down the street if you really need some entertainment," he replied.
"We'll swim after lunch and then go to the bar for dinner," Sam said, "How does that sound, Elisia?"
I couldn't go swimming. . .bathing suits definitely didn't have long sleeves or anything that covered my thighs. The bar sounded pretty decent though.
"That sounds good to me," I said, shrugging my shoulders nonchalantly. Sam smiled.
"Good, it's settled then. I'll pick up food at about 11. Any requests?" Dean asked.
"Chinese takeout," I said at about the same time Sam said, "A salad." Dean looked at me like I was crazy, but then he shrugged it off.
"Will do. Until then, I call the television. Doctor Sexy is marathoning and I need to catch up on the latest season," Dean said. I stifled a giggle after hearing "Doctor Sexy".
"Shut up, Elisia, it's a guilty pleasure," he said, shooting me a look of displeasure. I laughed even harder and Dean then decided to completely ignore me. He moved to turn on the T.V. and change the channel.
~Time Skip~
After watching a few episodes with Dean catching me up, I had to admit that I was hooked.
"So Doctor Pioccolo loves Doctor Sexy, but Doctor Sexy loves Doctor Robb and it's all some weird, demented love triangle with Doctor Jackson?" I asked, still slightly confused about the whole affair.
"Doctor Linetell, not Doctor Jackson," Dean corrected me, "But yeah, it's developed the most in season three, and has escalated through the seasons."
"Hey Dean, can you pick up the food?" Sam interjected, his stomach making a strange sound, a mix between a gurgle and a low rumble. I laughed a bit before seconding the motion.
"Okay, so Chinese takeout and a salad, got it," Dean said, standing up and grabbing his keys from the table, "Don't do anything naughty while I'm out," he said, winking. I blushed and Sam threw a crumpled up peice of paper at him. He just laughed and left the motel room.
Sam decided to change the channel to some ghost show, so we watched it with him making fun of everything. It took my mind off things and entertained me for the time being.
~Time Skip~
Dean came back about twenty minutes later, food in hand.
"I went to three places, you better be happy," he said, handing us our respective choices.
To be honest, I didn't know what had possessed me to get Chinese food, but it smelled pretty good. I was ready to eat, so I pulled up a chair to the small table and dug in, almost forgetting to breathe in-between bites.
"Hungry?" Dean asked with a smile as I devoured my food.
"Actually, very," I said, pausing for a moment. He seemed slightly surprised, but he shrugged his shoulders and began to each his own choice, the typical burger and fries.
About three-fourths of the way into my food, I felt absolutely sick to my stomach. I also didn't want to leave it though, as Dean had payed for it. I had a small inner battle with myself.
"I think I'm finished," I said, pushing away the container. Sam smiled and took it from me.
"Do you want me to take the rest and put it into the fridge?" he asked. I thought for a moment before shaking my head yes. He put it away and then turned to me.
"Time to swim then?" he asked with a smile on his face.
"So about that. . ." I paused for a bit, "I don't think I'm gonna swim. I don't have a suit and I'm just not feeling up to it.
Dean looked at me.
"But I thought you wanted to do it! You agreed and everything!" he said. Sam started to do his puppy dog face and I almost gave in right there, but I needed to stand my ground.
"I was agreeing more to the bar. . . I could always just sit by the pool and read a book or something," I had given a decent excuse, but they were still looking at me weirdly.
"Just come on, Elisia, it'll be fun!" Sam said, "Plus it's hot and it'll feel good! No one will judge you or anything either," with that little sentence tagged onto the end, I had a plan beginning to form.
"Okay, I'll do it. You guys go and get dressed first and I'll meet you down there," I said. I was going to have to dig to find the clothes I was going to wear.
Both of the brothers seemed to instantly perk up. They both went to their bags to grab their things to change while I went to go and sift through my bag.
I had one long sleeved shirt that I wouldn't mind getting pool water on and a pair of long boy short that I hadn't worn for about two years. I grabbed my rattiest and oldest pair of undergarments and called dibs on the bathroom after Sam had finished. Dean had already gone down, but I felt a need to call dibs anyway.
As soon as Sam walked out of the bathroom, my eyes widened a little. Despite his dorky exterior, he was well toned and had muscles that slightly made me want to drool.
"The bathroom's open, Elisia," Sam said with a slight smile. I must have looked like I zoned out because he said it slightly off tone, almost like the tone he had used to wake me up.
"Oh, okay, I'll meet you down there," I said, quickly getting into the bathroom and closing the door behind me. Gosh, I could be such a DORK sometimes!
I really quickly changed into my clothes and removed my makeup so that it wouldn't run in the pool. I felt kind of naked without it, as I was used to slightly thick eyeliner and mascara, but I would rather not have my face weirdly covered with it.
I made my way downstairs as quickly as possible, so I wouldn't run into anyone. I hated social interaction with people, as it just made me slightly nervous.
As soon as I got to the pool, Sam and Dean were already splashing and screwing around.
"Hey! C'mon, get in!" Dean said, with almost a threatning grin on his face. I grinned back and jumped into the pool. As soon as I surfaced for air, Dean and Sam were splashing me. I quickly swam to the other side of the pool and attempted to launch a counter-attack.
My main focus was on Dean, so I closed my eyes to keep the water out of them and continued to splash him as best I could.
"Damnit, Dean, I'm getting tired!" I yelled after a bit. He had been unrelenting in his attack and my arms just couldn't take it anymore. Then I realized. . .where was Sam?
Suddenly I was swept off of my feet, literally. Sam had come out of nowhere and had picked me up. I was a bit too confused to react, so he was just holding me there for a bit.
"You know, you look really pretty without the makeup," he said quietly. I could feel myself blushing at his comment as he smiled slightly.
Sam's POV
Elisia looked really awkwardly happy after I complimented her. She had turned a fairly dark red and had a half smile on her face. Gosh, she was beautiful.
I shifted a bit to let her down and when I did, I saw a flash of something red on her leg; a perfect line towards the bottom of her thigh.
I figured it was an injury of some sort, a scrape she had gotten while doing something, but then I realized she was wearing long sleeves and long shorts while swimming. NO ONE does that these days. I suspected something else going on.
Elisia's POV
Sam was looking at me weirdly for a bit and it was making me slightly uncomfortable.
"Something wrong?" I asked him, giving him a wary smile. I wasn't all too sure why he was looking at me the way he was.
"Nah, nothing," he said, returning back to himself, "I just forgot to ask Dean something. Water fight in five minutes, so prepare!" he moved over to Dean and started discussing something with him, so I moved to the other side of the pool.
No One's POV
"Dean, this is important," Sam said, turning to check and see what Elisia was doing. She seemed to be doing random things at the other end of the pool, so he continued on with what he was saying.
"I think Elisia might be hurting herself," he said. Dean looked at him funny.
"Well, yeah, she hasn't been eating much and that has to do something to a person," Dean said.
"No, I think I saw a scrape or a cut or something on her thigh. And she's wearing a long sleeved shirt and long shorts when she could be wearing a bikini1 Don't you think that's a bit strange?" Sam ranted, though his rant was quiet. Dean had a sudden realization and a look of pain on his face.
"So you're saying that she. . . " Dean was interrupted by Elisia calling from the other side of the pool.
"You guys done having a heart to heart yet?" she said with a smile. They both weakly smiled back and Sam nodded.
"Yeah, we'll be there in a bit," Sam said. He then lowered his voice again, "Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. I don't know for sure, but I'm going to do something with this water fight to make sure."
Dean and Sam prepared themselves for this 'water fight'.
Elisia's POV
I was confused. i thought that Sam had to only talk to Dean for a bit, but it looked like they were talking about a deep topic. It better fricken not be about me.
"We're starting in three, two, one," suddenly Dean started splashing with Sam right on his tail. It was a barrage of water and it was almost too much to handle, but I started fighting back strong.
After a nit, I got tired of using my arms and started kicking instead, aiming mostly at Dean who again was splashing me the most. I was laughing until someone came up behind me and grabbed me.
"You can't escape me now, Elisia!" Sam said as he dunked me under. As soon as I realized that my shorts had gone considerably up, I yanked them down and surfaced.
"SAM WINCHESTER!" I playfully yelled as I grabbed him and attempted to administer the same fate.
~EPIC TIME SKIP~
After messing around a little longer, we all opted to return to the hotel room to get cleaned up before we went to the bar.
"I call first shower!" I called, grabbing some clothes I could hunt in later and a towel before running into the bathroom and slamming the door behind me.
No One's POV
Sam and Dean waited for the shower to start running before they began to talk.
"Dean, she does cut herself. When she went under the water her shorts went up. I saw lots. I think she doesn't have any clean skin anymore. And I think I saw some new ones too. . .some of them really looked like they could use some stitches and," Dean cut off Sam's babble.
"Hey, we can talk to her after we kill the demon tonight, okay? We don't need to stress her out any further," he said, patting him on the back, "Don't worry, we'll definitely help her."
