We apologise for taking so long on this chapter, but Ayaka and I haven't been able to get together for these past three months to hang out, let alone write. From now on I'll be posting a chapter weekly that we write in hopes of filling the time you need to wait for us to get together again. Read and review, and hope you enjoy.
"We have a new student to introduce. Please introduce yourself to the class." The 1-A class president told the new girl as she stood in front of the class. It had been two weeks and Aya had been transferred back into 1-A now that her sister was gone and her depression over it kept her from causing much trouble during class.
"My name is Mayu Rei; it's a pleasure to meet you all." The girl had short messy bangs and dark red hair tied in two ponytails at the bottom of her head which reached her shoulders, icy blue eyes covered by square glasses. She had a yellow beret trimmed in white on her head and the school dress with a short blue vest over the chest, fancy hiking-like boots dark brown trimmed with red and red laces.
"Your seat is beside Satou, Rei." The class president said, the girl nodding and sitting beside the girl.
"Honoka disappears and just a couple weeks later we get another transfer student..." Kaoru mumbled unhappily, looking down at the memories of the happy dirty blonde.
"It was bound to happen Kaoru..." Hikaru murmured back, wanting to hug his brother as soon as the younger twin mentioned Aya's older sister.
"Class is beginning...I'd very much appreciate it if you allowed me the silence to listen to the teacher." Mayu whispered, not wanting to bother the rest of the class.
"Sorry." The younger golden eyed boy responded softly, falling silent.
"...Hello." Mayu peeked in Music Room three through the door. "I heard that I could find Kyouya-sempai here." She explained.
"Hello Princess." Tamaki said, seemingly appearing before her with his signature coloured rose. "I am Tamaki Souh, second year...and you, Princess?" He asked.
"My name is Mayu Rei, first year...it's a pleasure to meet you." The girl smiled shyly, the black haired host stepping forward with a smile.
"Ah, Mayu-san, it's a pleasure to see you again." Kyouya smiled, gesturing to the back room. "I believe that room shall be appropriate for our dealings."
"Yes, that will do fine." The red head agreed, walking into the back room and waiting for the older boy.
"It's merely a small business transaction, nothing to worry about." The dark eyed boy explained, walking into the back room himself.
"You came sooner than I expected." Kyouya stated as the girl leaned back against the wall, running a hand softly though her hair and making sure not to pull out the hair ties.
"I wanted to get back as soon as possible." Mayu explained simply. "So...how is she?" They both knew it was likely that someone was listening in, perhaps even the person they were talking about.
"She's as good as to be expected." The 'without you around' didn't need to be spoken. "Her current condition has made it so she hasn't needed my help." He wasn't sure why he didn't lie to her...perhaps because she wouldn't believe him, or perhaps because of whom 'Mayu Rei' really was.
"I see..." The red head pulled money from her vest pocket, holding it out. "Take it anyway." She insisted.
"I didn't do anything." The black haired boy pointed out, only for the girl to smile at him.
"Use it for the club; I'm sure it'll make your friends happy." She laughed softly at his slightly wide eyed expression.
"My friends..." He murmured before smiling again, taking the money carefully from the girl. "Yes, I'm sure it will make them happy." He agreed.
"We're done." Kyouya stated as the two opened the door. The younger blonde jumped away from the door as if he'd been caught doing something wrong.
"How do you know each other?" Tamaki demanded, clearly upset that his friend had kept a secret from him.
"That's none of your concern, Tamaki-sempai." Mayu responded, her eyes searching the room before landing on Aya. The younger girl was sitting with Hikaru and Kaoru, the older twin trying to get them to talk...it seemed their mutual depression caused them to ignore his prodding. She wasn't sure if the twins simply had no guests or the brown haired girl's presence forced them away. Her eyes returned to the two second year hosts, only to find the blue eyed boy curled up in a corner.
"Tamaki, get out of the corner." Aya said suddenly, looking at the club leader.
"But-but..." Tamaki looked about ready to cry.
"Just do it." She insisted coldly, glaring.
"...Fine." The younger blonde sighed, not wanting to make the brunette any angrier.
"How about we all go to Aya's house?" Hikaru suggested suddenly, trying to cheer them up.
"Mayu-san would like to come along." The black eyed boy said immediately, causing the red-head to glare at him.
"No, no I would not, thank you." She snarled, knowing that if she went to the girl's house she would be recognised as who she truly was.
"I'd prefer no one come over." The blue-green eyed girl stated after a moment.
"Oh...ok." The usually mischievous twin sighed, unsure what else to say to try and cheer his brother and their friend up. Huni walked over to the youngest girl, holding Usa-chan cutely.
"Can I come over?" He asked in the most adorable voice he could.
"No." Aya said simply, turning back to the twins.
"It didn't work." Mori pointed out simply.
"I think he noticed that Mori-sempai." Hikaru sighed. The blue eyed girl still stood, watching the group as they tried to cheer up the two depressed first years...even Tamaki had joined in the efforts, while Kyouya stood beside her.
"I'm leaving." Aya said suddenly, standing and leaving before anyone could stop her.
"...I am leaving as well. Goodbye Kyouya-sempai." Mayu stated, leaving herself.
"I'm glad you've finally come to your senses Ayaka." Kuro smiled widely.
"I'm not doing it for you." Aya stated, causing her father to frown slightly.
"Why then?" He questioned.
"It's none of your business." She responded, leaving the office.
"Welcome home Mayu dear!" Mayu's mother exclaimed as her daughter walked into the house.
"Thanks." Mayu sighed, pulling off her glasses and letting down her hair before messing a bit with her bangs...she looked very familiar all of a sudden.
"...How were your friends?" The woman asked, the girl sighing again.
"Fine...all but two were fine." The girl explained, walking to the stairs.
"It was them, wasn't it? That boy and Ayaka."
"Yeah." The blue eyed girl walked up the stairs, no longer wanting to talk...she wanted to be alone.
