Me: Ok, no more votes for ORION or Flood. And the poll is closed. On with the story! Oh and I have an idea for the sequel for this. Hint, Halo: Maria (it's another of my stories, short but that was the point). You should be able to figure the rest out yourselves. I also noticed a mistake I made in the previous chapter, it has been fixed. If I misspelled Ezo, then tell me.

Assault on Cerberus (part 2)

"Feet first into hell!" Amanda shouted as she jumped off the ramp. Her soldiers quickly followed, leaving Ash on the pelican.

"I love these guys," she said as she followed the Headhunters. As soon as the Pelican left, Cerberus soldiers started showing up.

"For Cerberus!" one Trooper shouted.

"Shut-up," Andrew said as he fired his shotgun into the face of the Cerberus Trooper who said it. There wasn't a head left afterwards. "Don't get up."

"How would he be able to get up, you just shot off his face?" Ash asked. She was currently firing her Avenger at a couple of Guardians.

"You don't want to know," was Andrew's simple response. He had taken cover when several Centurions showed up and started shooting at him. "What am I chopped liver!? Give me some cover!"

Instantly the twins started to fire their heavy weapons at the Centurions. Said soldiers were instantly cut down by the combined SAW fire. Ghost had upgraded the Spirit's armory while they were still prepping for the assault. The twins both had a SAW, but had different secondary weapons. Josh had a Railgun, while John had a Sticky Detonator. After another minute, the hanger was clear.

"We're clear push forward!" Amanda shouted. "Jan, find us a way around these doors."

"What do you-…?" Ash tried to ask.

"Give it a minute," Harvey said. Two seconds later, the doors instantly closed.

"How did you guys know that would happen?" Ashley asked.

"It's what we would do," Isabella answered.

"I managed to open a small access hatch to our left," Janet said. "Hurry though, we got a minute before this place instantly depressurizes."

"Move it people!" Amanda shouted at her soldiers. They instantly started to crawl through the small hole while Amanda waited for them to get through. Ash crawled in right before Amanda.

"Closing," Jan said as the access hatch sealed. "The hanger is depressurizing in three…two…one." Suddenly a muffled explosion could be heard from behind them.

"That was too close," Josh said as John nodded in agreement.

"Agreed, now move to the side, CO goes out first," Amanda said. Everyone squeezed to the side as much as they could to let Amanda through. She ended up getting stuck between Zach.

"Getting a little cozy aren't we Sarge?" Zach said. The response he got was a knee to his balls as Amanda managed to get through.

Several meters later they came out into an ambush. They were surrounded by Cerberus Phantoms, Centurions, and Kia Leng.

"So," Kia Leng said, "is this supposed to be the part where you make us surrender?"

"Yes, it is," Amanda said.

"I don't think so," Leng said as he charged them.

Amanda rolled out of the way of Kia Leng's blade just before it would have hit her. As she rolled away, Josh and John fired at the surrounding Cerberus soldiers. The rest of the team, including Ashley fired at Kia Leng. He easily jumped out of the way before any of their shots could reach him. He continued to do this during the entire fight.

"The bastard won't hold still!" Moreno shouted.

"What can't handle us if we have ammo?" Amanda shouted at him. He responded by sending out a biotic shockwave that knocked them all back. While they were getting up, Leng tried to stab Zanders through the head. She rolled out of the way just before it would have hit.

"To fucking close," she said as she started shooting at Leng.

Josh and John continued to shoot at the multiple Cerberus soldiers while Isabella took out the snipers. Zach was using a Centurion as a meatshield as he ran through the Cerberus operatives.

"Five left," Jones said.

"Um…I think you need to recount," Ashley said as a squad of Cerberus Phantoms appeared next to Kia Leng.

"Fuck."

"Why the hell are we fighting ninjas?" Harvey complained as he tried to shoot one of them.

Ashley tried to help by firing her Avenger at the Phantoms. Each of them kept dodging out of the way and sending a blast of biotic energy at them. A warp field would have hit Isabella if Ash hadn't pulled her out of the way.
"Thanks," Isabella said as she aimed at one of the Phantoms next to Leng. She fired her sniper and before the Phantom knew what was happening, her head exploded.

"They won't fucking hold still!" Carter shouted as he tried to hit a Phantom. Though he kept missing, he had caused the Phantom to go right in front of Ash. She took advantage of the opportunity by pulling out the shotgun and blasting it into the Phantom before she could do anything. Now there were only two other Phantoms and Kia Leng. The Phantoms didn't last long as Josh grabbed one of them by the head and proceeded to snap her neck, and Ash tackled the other. This knocked the sword out of the Phantom's hand and allowed Amanda to stab the Cerberus commando before she could get up.

"Give up Leng," Ashley said.

"You're out numbered, it's over," Amanda said.

"No, now it's fun," Leng said as he readied his sword.

Carter managed to get behind Leng and started shooting his shotgun at him. Leng knew he was there though, and jumped behind him as he started shooting. Before Carter could do anything, Leng stabbed him, going through him completely.

"Now die," Leng said as he tried to pull the blade out. Before he could, Andrew grabbed his arm and kept him from moving.

"Kill the son of a bitch," he said. Isabella instantly brought up her sniper. Leng saw her bring it up and tried one last time to pull out his sword before she shot him in the face.

Kia Leng's headless corpse fell to the ground as Andrew fell to his knees.

"Get him some biofoam, now!" Amanda yelled as Ash started to get out medi-gel.

Before she could apply it to his wound, Zach ran up and pulled out an olive drab can from his pack. He unfolded the injector, stuck it in Carter's wound, and squeezed the trigger. The wound instantly filled with biofoam. Ash decided it would be a good idea to do as much as they could and applied the medi-gel to the wound.

"Got him," Andrew said as he started to get up.

"Technically I got him," Isabella said as she helped him stand.

"Don't ruin the moment Iz."

Random spot in space (close to Cronos Station).

"Corpsman report!" a Sangheili shipmaster in gold field marshal armor ordered.

"Slipspace drive is offline; the Engineers [Don't remember how to spell the alien name] are trying to fix it now shipmaster," an Elite minor in blue armor replied.

"I want them fixed now! Helm, where in the name of the gods are we?"

"I am not sure sir, are location isn't on any map," a female Sangheili in red officer armor said. When the shipmaster got this ship and its crew, he didn't expect his navigation officer to be a woman. Very few Sangheili women fought in the Covenant military. He was even more surprised to find out that she was not only his second in command, but also an old childhood friend.

"I want that location now Rala," he said to her.

"I'm working on it Varo, but if the map didn't know where we are, we might just be in uncharted space."

Varo cursed under his breath, "Uncharted space. That may complicate things."

"What are your orders, shipmaster?" a Sangheili Ranger in gold armor asked.

"Get the drive and communications online."

"Yes sir."
"Varo, drives coming back online now."

"View screens are now operational," the corpsman as the screens turned on. Varo breathed a sigh of relief; the screens showed that the rest of the battle group was intact.

"Alive to," he thought to himself as he saw Phantom and Spirit drop-ships coming out of the hangers of each Covenant ship.

"Shipmaster, one human vessel detected at this location," Rala said.

"Just one?"

"It's surrounded by multiple unknown vessels."

"Is our stealth ship operational?"

"They're reporting minor system damage, but they are operational."

"Good, our weapons need to be repaired, and we need to find out who those unknowns are. Send shipmaster Belvemee' a message. I want him to scout out that location."

"On it Varo," Rala said as she sent the message.

"Let's see who these people are," Varo thought to himself.

"This is stupid," a Sangheili minor named Fero Gattarmee' said. He and another Sangheili were currently in the lower deck of the battle group's only stealth ship.

"The repairs, or…," the second Sangheili looked around before continuing, "…or the war?" The second Sangheili was a female named Zelona Drakonmee'. Of course the only one in the battle group who knew she was a female was Fero. Zelona was extremely good at hiding who she truly was; her only problem was her voice. She could get it low enough to pass for a young Sangheili male, but that was it.

"The war. We were told that they destroyed Forerunner relics, but instead of scavenging for the remains-…"

"Oh, here we go."

"…-we destroy the humans? Hell, I recently found out that it was the Brutes that made first contact."

This caused Zelona to stop.

"Are you serious?"

"Very."

"Then…this war…it could be-…"

"Based on a lie made by Brutes I know."

"…So what are we gonna do about it?"

"I don't know," Fero said.

"…Ok…this is either gonna sound really fucking insane…or it will make me sound like a genius," Zelona said.

"What?"

"…We go to the humans," Zelona said. Fero thought about it for a second before he grew what passed for a Sangheili smile.

"Zel you're a genius!" Fero shouted as he grabbed her head and kissed her. He released her and kept smiling for two seconds before he realized what he just did. His smile instantly disappeared.

"We will never speak of this again," Zel said quickly.

"Agreed," Fero said as they started walking to the hanger.

"Shepard, there's too many of them," Kaiden shouted from the other side of the hallway they were currently in. Unlike the ODSTs, John's small team of him, Kaiden, Angel, Jack, and five Marines had had trouble getting very far.

"Shut up and shot Alenko!" John shouted back as he threw a warp field at the Cerberus Atlas that was behind the Centurions.

"He does have a point bro," Angel said as she fired her Black Widow Anti-Material Sniper at the Atlas.

"Man down!" a Marine shouted. John looked back to see one of the Marines pulling another behind cover. The one being pulled was still firing at the Centurions as he was pulled behind cover. An explosion caused John to look back at the Centurions.

"Hell yeah!" Angel shouted. Her last shot on the Atlas had managed to hit its power cell.

"Ok move up!" John shouted as he began sprinting to the end of the hall.

"This is ODST team Headhunters, where the hell are you guys?" Amanda shouted over the comm.

"This is Biotic squad, we're on our way," John replied.

"Red team heading there now," Jerome said over the comm.

John started moving when he noticed something on a terminal. The image on the screen was of a small frigate sized ship not to far from the base.

"What the hell is that?" Kaiden asked as he looked at the screen.

"Don't know," John replied before he continued walking.

Tirina Fralon was starting to get annoyed by unknowns. Another unknown ship had appeared on their sensors while they were salvaging the remnants of the battle. She had to give it to Cutter, his ship had given them the edge they needed in the space aspect of the battle. Now it was up to their troops on the station.

"Send a signal to that ship," Tirina said.

"Understood ma'am," a random Asari on the bridge said.

A few minutes passed by before she was told that the unknowns wanted to talk.

"On screen," Fralon said. The face of an alien that she had never seen appeared. "My name is Commander Tirina Fralon of the Asari Navy. You are trespassing in Coun…Alliance controlled space."

"jfohfnd djlkajkdf fdjkiehbnvn oaeifiojf fjofuaohnvkhv fhudifh fehfu fd fahuifh ef nhaj ajkhds fjja fdkljf ddsas jdhfne fdjkjak;jdsjoiejjf dfs fs," the alien said.

"I'm sorry what?" Tirina said in English.

"I shipmaster Doron Belvemee' of Covenant," the alien said, concentrating extremely hard on what it said. "Humans here."

"Yes, this station is under their control," Tirina said.

"We help."

"Ok then, I'll get on of the docking cradles open," Tirina said, not knowing that the Covenant shipmaster meant help kill the humans.

"This all the remaining Cerberus soldiers?" Captain Cutter asked.

"Yep," Jane replied.

"I still say we put a bullet between their eyes."

"We need any intel they have."

"Fine."

Before they could say anything else, the head of a Cerberus Phantom exploded.

"Damn, these guys explode when interrogated. Glad they aren't Innies," one of the Marines said.

"Looks like there is no intel. Marines, you know how we deal with terrorists," Cutter said. Instantly, the UNSC Marines started executing their prisoners. One ODST decided that he wanted the person he shot to be able to see his face and the look in his eyes. He walked up to the closest Cerberus operative to him, a Phantom, and removed her helmet. What he saw made him real back and shoot the Phantom more times than he had to.

"That's all kinds of sick and wrong. I can't believe they did this to there own troops," one of the few Alliance Marines there said.

Suddenly a beep came from the airlock on their left. Jane and Cutter looked at each other before looking back at the airlock. It opened to reveal a squad of Elite Rangers. The Alliance soldiers, not knowing what they were dealing with, just stood there continuing what they were doing before, while the UNSC troops took cover and started firing. This caught the Alliance's attention, but it was already too late. Several AMs [Alliance Marines] were cut in half by energy blades or shot down by plasma fire, while the survivors barely managed to get to cover.

."We got Covies!" an ODST shouted as he fired at the Elite Ranger.

Suddenly an Elite Ranger in gold armor walked in.

"Humans," it said in easy English, "It is time for you to die."

Me: Well that's it for this chapter, read and review. If you still haven't figure it out yet, for the sequel I'm bringing in the Infinity. That is all I'm saying.

Ashley: Can some one explain to me why they put foam in Carter?

Ghost: Biofoam is the UNSC's equivalent to medi-gel.

Ash: Oh.

Me: Not that hard to figure out Ash, VR Commando ATA out.
