Hi guys I'm so sorry about the long wait for the next chapter, I've had sove family stuff to deal with! But I feel really bad so this week I will upload 2...possibly 3 chapters for you! Thank you for all the comments and story follows, I'm so excited that you guys like the story!
I wanted to respond to some of the comments. Starting off...I'm really sorry I have been spelling Maryse wrong! I just got so into the story I forgot about the little things like that! Rookie mistake sorry! Also when I started writing this I decided that I would write at least 5 chapters before I uploaded anything so that if I missed a week of writing then I always had something to upload. So I went back and read what I have written so far and I realise that in the first part of the story the main silent brother involved with the New York Institute is brother Jeremiah (who died in city of ashes!) but then in the story there is no mention of brother Jeremiah (instead I've written about brother Enoch). So again I apologise for writing about a dead silent brother! I need to focus on the small details instead of getting to wrapped up in the story!
And can I just add...(in extreme fangirling voice) CITY OF HEAVENLY FIRE COMES OUT IN JUST OVER A MONTH! I can't even explain how excited I am! Anyway I have waffled on quite a bit and you guys are probably REALLY bored by now so here's the next chapter (finally)!
Meliorn took off down the familiar corridor and they all followed him. The sound of fairy music grew louder as they approached the grand hall which was filled with dancing fairies. Clary remembered the last time she was here and she nearly went to dance with them. Luckily Jace had been there to stop her. This time she had already marked herself with a rune. Since Simon was a vampire he didn't seem to be affected by the music unlike last time when Isabelle had to blind fold him! The fairies carried on dancing but were looking at the shadowhunters warily. They walked across the room and through a doorway which had vines hanging from it. And there she was. Sat in her throne, looking down on them. Clary couldn't help but feel rage build up inside of her. She was a traitor. A lying, manipulative traitor. She had worked with Sebastian before. She couldn't be trusted. Clary tried to calm herself. It was important that the Seelie Queen felt like she could trust them, they needed information from her and Clary getting angry would not make her anymore willing to give that information up.
"Thank you Meliorn. For bringing our...guests to me." He ducked his head and went to stand by the door.
Jace stepped forward and bowed his head. "My lady. I believe you have heard of Jonathan Morgensterns escape from the silent city."
She smiled. "I have heard whispers around my court."
"We assumed that you knew from the note you sent. However the note was sent before his escape."
"Ahhhh, so the daughter of Valentine told you about my letter. I had hoped you would come sooner. I will be honest with you Nephilim. There is something I want and there is something you want to. I can give you the information which you desire."
Predictable. That was all Clary could think.
Jace quickly turned to look at them all and then his attention went back to the Seelie Queen. "We would very much appreciate it my lady"
"Meliorn!" She yelled. He walked over to her and she whispered in his ear. Something wasn't right. She looked at the others but they were all stood still, facing the Seelie Queen. Meliorn walked out the room and the Seelie Queens attention was back on them.
"Maggie Horngrove paid me a visit a few months ago."
"Excuse me for interrupting but we are not familiar with Maggie Horngrove."
"Maggie Horngrove is a warlock. A powerful one. She is young, only 100 but she has been trained all her life by warlocks. She came to me and told me of Sebastian's plans. That he would break out of the silent city."
"But how? It is merely impossible." Jace's face looked puzzled.
"I was not told how, only that it would happen. She told me she needed something from me. And that is all I know. I sent that note knowing you would come and see me. I sent it because I need something from you."
"Thank you my lady for sharing this information the clave will be grateful. Now us shadowhunters are true to our word. What can we do for you?"
"Like I said Maggie needed something from me. And I need that same thing from you."
"I don't quite understand." Clary knew something was wrong. She stepped forward so she was standing in line with Jace and grabbed his arm.
The Seelie Queen stood up. "My favour which I need from you is for you to die. You see Maggie came here from Sebastian asking that I lure you here and kill you. I agreed. I have been loyal to the Nephilim in the past but not now, not when they will lose the war that is yet to come."
"But why us, why does he want us personally dead?" Asked Isabelle.
"Not you personally Isabelle Lightwood but nether the less you will still die. He wants Clarissa Morgenstern and Jonathan Herondale dead because they are the ones who have the best chance of finding him. Therefore they have to be eliminated." Clary felt the rage inside her build up and burn through her veins.
"That's why you sent me the note, you knew I would tell Jace and that he wouldn't let me come on my own. You knew both of us would come."
"Well done, you Nephilim are clever."
Alec stepped forward. "But still why tell us that information if you were going to kill us?" He asked.
She smiled a dreadful smile. "It makes the game more fun. Now I do believe the Nephilim are faithful to their word and I told you all what I knew so know you owe me a favour. Die Nephilm, die." And she cackled
