So I learned a few things about myself during this eternal hiatus... 1) I learned I am a compulsive lair. I keep telling you guys I will update soon and it never happens. Well, I have a whole bunch of excuses but I'll wrap them all up into one... Life is a bitch. 2) I really need a Beta. I reread through my story and I kept having to cringe at the multiple mistakes. If you want to be my beta, I might actually fall in love with you. Maybe we will get married 3) It's ok to bring your pet donkey to an outlet mall as long as he has a service vest on. No reason for this one really, I just saw a donkey in the mall today when I went post-Black Friday shopping. It made my day!

If you would like to send anonymous hate mail to me, feel free. I will have no problems with that. I might actually sent one to myself. I feel terrible for leaving this for so long.

I've decided that I might actually own Glee. In the past weeks Adam Lambert has joined the show and sang with Kurt multiple times, there has been two -count um- TWO Beatles episode, AND Chris Colfer has finally revealed his beautiful biceps! This can't be a coincidence.

Chapter 5: To the Moon and Back

Blaine grabbed Kurt and pulled him into another hug. "Don't you dare think that Kurt. It is worth it, you're worth it and I promise to show you that every day from now on. You're not going to lose me, nor Wes for that matter. I think he has a bro crush on you."

Blaine knew exactly what to say to make Kurt feel better. Blaine handed Kurt a piece of paper. When he opened it, it read "Courage" with a phone number underneath.

Kurt looked down at the paper and smiled.

"I want you to call me if you ever feel that way again. I don't care what time it is, if you ever need someone to talk to I want to be the one you come to ok?"

Kurt nodded. "I should go inside but thank you Blaine. Thank you for everything."

"You're welcome Kurt. Come to dinner again tomorrow?" Blaine asked. "I'm sure Wes would love to have his new best friend over again."

"I would love that. Bye Blaine."

"Bye Kurt. I'll see you tomorrow."

(End Flashback)

Kurt finished his story with tears in his eyes. He refused to look up from his lap where he was starring while he retold his story, thinking his family would see just how messed up he was. After finally finding his family again, he didn't want them to think any less of him.

"I don't regret anything that happed back then though." Kurt determined. "I don't think I would have met Blaine, nor Wes, if I never had my own little pity party that night."

Burt stared at his son sitting across the kitchen countertop.

"Kurt," Burt said. No response.

"Kurt, look at me."

Kurt looked up at his dad.

The older man stood up from his barstool and walked to the other side of the counter and scooped his son into a massive hug.

"I'm so proud of you, son." Burt sighed into Kurt's shoulder. "I never doubted your strength for a second. I love you, kiddo."

"You're not disappointed in me? I thought about killing myself! How was that strong?" Kurt asked in surprise.

"You're still here, aren't you? You went through a lot and you never gave up. Many people would in your situation. I just told you I was proud of you and that I love you. Now shut up and accept my hug!" Burt scolded the man with a gentle smirk.

Kurt laughed and buried his head into his dad's chest. "I love you too, Dad." Kurt missed this. He missed having his dad there to comfort him and tell him exactly what he needed to hear.

Burt then proceeded to pull a surprised Blaine into the family hug. The rest of the family circled around the three and turned the little huddle into a group hug.

Many minutes later, after the group finally pulled apart and they proceeded with their conversation, Burt took his son's fiancé into the living room and sat him on the couch.

"You're a good kid, Blaine."

"Thank you sir."

"Enough with this sir. It's Burt. I can never thank you enough for what you did for my boy. You were there for him when I wasn't. I will never forgive myself for it. You continue to take good care of him and we won't have a problem, okay?"

"Okay."

"Good," Burt pulled the raven haired man into a strong hug. Unknown to both of them, they were being watched from a distance by a fashionable man with tears of happiness in his eyes.

'God, I don't think I've stopped crying once this week,' Kurt laughed internally.

Kurt inconspicuously wiped the tears from his eyes and tuned back into his conversation with Rachel and Finn.

"Did Burt tell you we're having a baby?" Rachel said excitedly.

"It's a boy! We wanted to name him after you! Well, you and Finn's father. I hope that's ok, now that we have you back, I guess it would be proper to ask, right?"

Kurt was shocked. "You want to name your child after me?"

"Of course dude! You're like the best little brother ever!" Finn exclaimed, wild hand gestures included.

"I'm older than you Finn." Kurt rolled his eyes and the oversized child. "Thank you, guys. That actually means a lot to me. I would be honored to have your baby named after me."

"No prob." Finn said. "But you know, you're still my little brother. You may be older than my but that just makes you the older brother but I'm bigger than you so I'm the big brother." Finn tried to explain.

"To this day your logic still makes no sense, but whatever 'dude'" Kurt retorted.

When Burt walked back into the kitchen with his arm around Blaine's shoulders, Kurt realized that this was the happiest he had ever been. He finally had the family he always wanted.

The Hummel and Hudson families stayed in New York with Kurt and Blaine for well over two weeks. They got to be tourists while they were there and the met the infamous Wes. That was a full adventure in itself. Kurt also took Rachel and Carole to see a real Broadway musical while Blaine took the men to a Giants game.

In those two weeks, the family grew closer than ever. The Hummels and the Hudsons loved Blaine. None of them ever wanted to leave, but they knew they had to get back to their lives in Ohio sometime soon. Burt couldn't call Ohio home anymore. Even though he was a stranger in New York, he never felt more at peace anywhere else.

Kurt and Blaine went with the family to the airport the afternoon of their flight back to Columbus. Kurt and Blaine hugged each of them and told them to come back as soon as possible. Kurt watched the rest of his family walk through the departure gate, Burt turning around to wave goodbye. He was sad to see them all go but he knew that this time around, he would be seeing them all again real soon.

After arriving back in Columbus, both families went separate ways for the first time in two weeks. When Burt and Carole finally made it home late in the evening, they first called Finn and Rachel to make sure they made it home alright as well. They then called Kurt and Blaine, telling them they all arrived safely.

When he finally hung up, Burt began planning his next trip to New York City.

"I already miss them Blaine." Kurt sighed. "I don't want to let them go again."

"I know, angel. You won't lose them though. Not forever. They love you too much to ever let you go again. You'll see them soon. I promise." Blaine pulled Kurt into his arms. He had to stand on his toes, but he also managed to kiss Kurt on the forehead.

"I love you," Kurt whispered.

"I love you too, Kurt. To the moon and back."

This is kind of just a filler chapter. I'm not going to promise when I'll post again because, remember, I'm a compulsive liar. SORRY GUYS! Lets hope its not another five months again! I love you so much for sticking with me! I might have to get help for my lying. You all deserve so much better!
