Chapter 7:

"Juunanagou, we're gonna be late!" A certain blonde-haired girl shouted at her happy-go-lucky twin brother. They were going to see a new couple, a duo that might be willing to adopt them, two people who were going to get them out of this hell hole, a pair that will take them to a new home.

And yet, her idiot of a brother just had to go skating ten minutes before going in. Thus, because of the lack of time, he had to meet them with dirt covering his psyche and sweat resulting in a horrible stench. Unluckily, she had the misfortune of accompanying a walking trash bag to encounter their ticket to a new life.

Mrs. Jennifer Redfern, a middle-height woman with brown hair that reached her shoulder, blue eyes that seemed to carry the essence of life, and fair skin, approached the two wearing an amiable smile. However, with each step she took, that smile turned upside down. Her hand automatically made it to her nose in a vain attempt to protect it from the assault of a stinky smell.

"You can't go in like this. Bathroom immediately Juunanagou!" she ordered. Juunanagou, not needing to be told twice quickly made his way to a bathroom, "Better make it quick Mister!" she yelled after him. The two girls talked a bit whilst waiting for the third occupant of their group to make his grand appearance. In ten minutes, the dark-haired boy was out, dressed and ready to go (after a lot of shouting, nagging and urging from dear ole Jennifer). Jennifer nodded approvingly and guided the two to their assigned room.

The twins walked into the familiar room. Blue wallpaper, wooden floor and a lamp hanging down from the ceiling, so simple defined the room they were in perfectly. In the middle of the space was a brown table with chairs all around it. Two people were occupying two of the chairs and the twins sat at the opposite side, Juuhachigou smiling cheerfully while Juunanagou looking like he had better things to do. Mrs. Redfern followed the twins inside, introduced herself and spoke to the two about the twins they saw before them. Juuhachigou took this opportunity to study the couple.

The female had pale skin and auburn hair with brown eyes to match while the male had fair skin, brown hair and golden eyes. After a few minutes, Jennifer concluded her conversation with the two and left the room.

"So you're Juuhachigou and Juunanagou?" the female said, her voice seeming as if it was stolen from angels. The two nodded in response, "I'm Rose Raven, and this is my husband Tyler." She said as she extended a hand out, which each twin shook and did the same with Tyler.

After some time, the newly-wedded couple got out of the place and the twins went into their shared room.

Juuhachigou's heart was pumping hard that she knew for sure that it would shatter her ribcage. Her breaths came out in nervous pants as she stared at the door and waited for its opening. And after a while, it did.

"Hi guys!" Jennifer greeted happily, "Good news! The parents are willing to adopt!" The young girl let out a breath she didn't know she was holding, "But… there is one problem."

Elsewhere in the same town, a bald-headed short man was prowling the many streets of the area. 'Don't trust me, huh Eighteen? I wished you back to life for God's sake! What the hell is wrong with you?' he thought bitterly. How he wished he didn't make that wish. How he desired that he realized that the android was not worth the trouble… but no! He had to be her knight in shining armor; he had to be her savior. All that and for what? Just to be slapped in the face with the truth that the android didn't trust him at all. 'I should have just shut her down all these years ago!' he thought angrily.

Now, however, he wasn't here to save her anymore. He was here to rescue the innocent girl he met, not the ungrateful woman she had become. He walked and walked until he reached what he didn't expect. In front of him was no street, no buildings, no benches, no nothing. It was a vast space, white as a sheet. He didn't understand what he saw, but his cowardice kicked in, urging him to turn and leave, and he did just that. He needed a lot of things right now, but to be stuck in nowhere was not one of them.

"Stop right there, baldy." A deep voice called from the side. Krillen pointed at himself questioningly.

"Are you calling me?" the shadowy figure nodded, "And you can see me?" the person chuckled humorlessly. He stepped out of the dark, and Krillen had to take a few steps back in fear of what he saw. The creature in front of him was no human nor alien had he ever seen. Its skin was purplish and hanging off of its body, its cold blue eyes were bulging out of its forehead, unblinking or moving. The being was eerie, and its tall stature didn't help ease the midget's fear.

"Yes, I can," The thing said, its voice suddenly sounding darker to Krillen, "and that's because I'm a time traveler just like you."

Eighteen was lying on the bed in the hotel room they went to. Her body desperately needed rest but her mind could not think of it. It was too busy thinking of what she had done, or more like what she didn't do. 'Great job, Eighteen. Krillen did his best to help you but all you did is shut him out and yell at him. Some wife you are.' She shook her head. She was being childish. The guy brought her back to life and provided her with shelter and more importantly, something that she didn't feel in a very long time, love and care of a true family. She decided to go to sleep and look for him in the morning. She would definitely have to apologize and maybe, just maybe, he would find it in his heart to forgive her.
