Hey guys! Sorry it's been a while! I have good news that's also an explanation! I'm nearly done with writing the story! I decided that I wanted to get a good portion done before updating so I can give you guys frequent updates! (Which you will now have.) But the problem is, I sorta forgot to tell you all. XD Hopefully you guys are happy about the fact that you'll be getting nice, weekly updates! :3 Also, I bumped the rating to M! Mostly because of the torture and some stuff to come, but I may add light smut if you guys want it.

Time for review replies!

Africanvintage: Of course I'm not giving it up! I hope you enjoy this chapter! :)

Guest: Thank you! Well, it's been centuries for them! :) Nope, not Mab! Unique choice though! :) Thanks for reviewing!

DISCLAIMER: I sadly do not own Merlin. :(

WARNING: Slight torture. It's not too detailed, but you may be affected if you are sensitive to those things!

I imagine you are home
In your room, all alone
And you open your eyes into mine
And everything feels better

"The Last Time" by Taylor Swift ft. Gary Lightbody

Morgana woke up slowly, letting her eyes flutter open and close a few times. It took her a minute to register that there was a body behind her. He was pressed against her back; his arm wrapped around her waist.

She froze for a minute, not sure exactly how to go about, until the previous day's events came rushing back into her mind.

Morgana let her eyelids drop again. She pressed back against Merlin. The arm clinging to her waist tightened as the sleeping warlock readjusted his position to bury his face in her hair.

I can live with this, she thought happily. This is a nice way to wake up.

Except she wasn't living. She was a ghost, and she didn't even realise until it was too late. She didn't want to worry him. She wasn't sure how the conversation of, "Hey, I'm dead. I saw myself die. I hope you don't mind!" would go.

This was the one point in her life that she didn't want to die. It isn't because of Merlin, she thought, I'm not that sentimental. She refused to admit that she felt anything but dislike for Merlin. No, not hate. She had finally got past that.

Morgana had just accepted immortality, and now Arthur was coming back. And now she was dead.

"Hey."

Morgana's eyes flew open at his voice. "Hi."

Merlin started to move away from her, but he stopped when Morgana held the hand that was on her waist. He relaxed. "Did the nightmare come back?"

She sighed. "No," she replied quietly.

"That's good."

"Yeah."

The two laid in silence for a few minutes.

"Merlin?"

"Hm?"

Morgana rolled around so that she was facing Merlin. They were incredibly close. She sat up. He followed. "In my..dream," she started, tears threatening to fall, "I..."

He moved his hand to her face. "Shh." He pressed a finger to her lips, stroking her face delicately. "It's okay," he whispered, "you don't have to tell me." He wiped the tears from her eyes, cradling her head in both arms.

Her eyes closed. "I died. In the dream, I died. For good."

He froze. "No." He didn't believe her. "It was just a dream. Nothing more."

Tears fell freely from her eyes as he shook his head. She knew that she couldn't tell him everything. So, instead, she took the easy way out. "I know. It's impossible. The dream showed that I died yesterday. It's the thought of it that scared me."

Merlin pulled her into him. He embraced her tightly, refusing to let go. "You scared me."

"I'm sorry."

The two of them rocked back and forth for a while.

"I would go insane."

"Sorry?"

"Yesterday, when you asked me what would I do if you died, I didn't know. Now, I do. If you truly died, I would go mad. Whoever would kill you would regret that they even looked at you."

Morgana couldn't see his face, but she could tell that he was crying.

She stroked his hair lightly. "It's all okay. Everything's okay."

Morgana said it mostly to convince herself.

Hanging from a rope tied to the ceiling wasn't fun. Especially while being tortured. The pale young woman wept as a knife pierced through the skin of her stomach. It wasn't very deep at all, but the blade had been cursed to cause the most unimaginable pain. She screamed in agony.

"Tell me everything you know," Nimueh pressed. "I'm the nicer one. I can get Morgause to talk to you instead, if you would prefer."

The girl whimpered. "I've told you everything!"

"Then say it again." The knife made a trail of blood as it moved around her stomach, ready to stab her again.

She sucked in her breath and tried to keep from crying or screaming. "Doctor Gaius Jones sent me to Dublin for an internship with Doctor Edwin Ellis, and Morgana appeared in the hospital. I just did what I had to do my job of taking care of her!" She calmed down. "She died multiple times, but she kept coming back to life. Then, one time, she didn't come back."

Nimueh exchanged a look with Morgause. The blonde stepped up. "How did she die?"

"I'm not exactly sure," she said honestly.

"Just tell us what you saw."

The girl breathed for a few moments. "It was...She...Er..." She wasn't sure how to tell them. "It seemed like her skin disappeared. It was just blood everywhere. She was thrashing around as if she was still alive."

"And she was?"

She nodded. "It should be impossible to survive passed a few seconds in a situation like that. But then, she settled down after screaming, and her heart stopped. And she didn't come back."

Morgause crossed her arms. "When did you remember?"

"Remember what?"

"Yourself. Your previous life. Morgana. Camelot. Whatever city you came from."

"I'm from N—"

"Answer the question!"

Her eyes glinted with fear. "I...I don't know. I can't remember not knowing."

Morgause nodded. "We've got everything we need. Should we kill her?" A hand went up to send a spell in the young woman's direction.

Nimueh held a hand up to signal Morgause to stop. "No. She still has information that can potentially be valuable. Perhaps she knows the whereabouts of the great warlock Emrys, or even Prince Arthur. I think she mentioned something about Gaius."

The girl's eyes widened. "No! I would rather die than give up my friends!"

Nimueh smirked. "Oh, you'll get your wish. But not until you tell us where Merlin is."

"Shit! Shit, shit, shit!" Merlin screamed out, running to his closet and grabbing his jacket and shoving it on.

Morgana stepped out of the bathroom, only a towel covering her soaking body. "What? What is it?"

"Damnit! I have classes! In thirty minutes!"

Morgana rolled her eyes. "Then get going!"

"Are you kidding, 'Gana? It's freaking Cambridge! And we're in London!"

"Why'd you choose to live in London when you work nearly an hour and a half away?"

"I don't go to class every day. It's just that it's the first week, so I need to meet the new students. After this, I have my assistant take care of most of it and I only attend for important lectures."

"Some professor you are," Morgana muttered.

Merlin ran and grabbed his shoes. He shoved them on his feet. "Papers, papers, papers... Oh, screw it!"

Morgana laughed at him, still holding the towel tightly around her. She reached for her brush from the bathroom. She tied her towel to be able to hold itself. "Come 'ere."

He gave her a funny look. "I'm trying to prevent myself from getting fir—" He stopped suddenly. He noticed how she was only in a thin towel. "Morgana?"

"Hm?" She walked towards him.

"You're in a towel."

"Well, you were screaming and I didn't have much time to put clothes on."

"Er..."

"Oi, shut it, mister!" She tugged his head down so that she could reach it. She combed his hair.

"Are you...grooming me?" He groaned as she used the brush to tug at his hair.

"I'm not grooming you. I'm just making sure you don't look like you just had sex."

"Oh."

Morgana rolled her eyes. "There," she said, letting go of his head. She reached for the nearest tie and wrapped it around his neck. She began to tie it properly.

Merlin chuckled. "Brushing my hair. Tying my tie. We might as well be an old married couple."

She glared at him. "I'm being helpful. I see how you tie your ties. It'd be half an hour before you can even manage to make it look decent."

"You think you can do any better?"

She stepped back, smirking. "Done."

He looked down to see his tie done perfectly. "How?"

Morgana shrugged. "Not everyone is as hopeless as you."

"Says the woman who comes to me for help."

"I didn't come to you for help."

"Uh huh!"

"Nuh uh!"

"Uh huh!"

"Nuh uh!"

"I need to get to work!" Merlin threw his hands up in defeat.

Morgana stuck her tongue out at him. "Can I come?"

"No!"

She pouted. Her eyes became big and they fluttered sadly.

Merlin frowned. "Don't make that face. I can't stand that face!"

She exaggerated the face a bit more, leaning towards him. "Please?"

"Er..." He snapped out of it. "No! No! You're in a towel, and I have to be there in twenty-five minutes when it takes over an hour to get there!"

"You're quite dim for the greatest warlock the universe has ever known."

"What?"

"Ever heard of a teleporting spell?"

"I'm rubbish at it. I can never get it right."

Morgana smiled. "Well, I can! So what'd you think? Let me come with you and make it to work on time, or leave me here and leave all your students alone and possibly get fired?"

Merlin rolled his eyes. "Fine. No funny business though! And put your clothes on so we can go!"

She smiled. "Time for some actual fun!"

He looked at her. "Don't ruin my class lecture."

"No promises there, Merlin."

Merlin shook his head. "I'm so going to regret this."

I hope you all are excited for more, lol! XD Reviews are greatly appreciated! I actually have a deal/challenge for you! I'll update the moment I hit 120 reviews! (14 reviews; not too much!) :) Also, the girl in the cellar still hasn't been revealed, and no one has guessed right, so the guessing is still on! Alright, so I'll update in a week, unless I get 14 reviews! :D
