Authors Note;
I'm so sorry I haven't uploaded in a while! I've been extremely busy with the start of the new year! My 18th birthday has been and gone so mucho partying there! I have also started back at college and haven't been able to get time away from my coursework. My boyfriend isn't much help because every time I try and moan that I haven't written in a while he pauses his game (or hides somewhere, if he's online) and says "I don't want Excuses! I want results!" and then goes back to his game giggling like a girl!
Anyways Happy new year and Happy birthday for anybody's birthday coming up in the near future.
Please review :) No flames! Please give me something I can actually improve on...
Enjoy!
You could cut the tension with the knife. Thor often heard that saying while he was with the Avengers but never knew what it actually meant until he stood in a room with his brother, his brothers heavily pregnant wife and his... friend. Is that what he could call Diniah? Or is she something more than a friend? Oh by the all-father Thor one problem at a time!
"Thor?" Diniah called out shattering the awkward silence in the room.
"Hmmm... Oh sorry. I was somewhere else." He said shaking his head. She smiled but it didn't quite reach her eyes. I mean how could it when both of her best friends were in pain.
"I noticed." She whispered. Thor didn't know what to do. He looked around the room. Loki was glaring at Sigyn and Sigyn was looking anywhere but the three people in front of her. She held a very guilty face.
"Could I please have a chair? My back is starting to hurt." Sigyn asked Diniah nodded and provided her with a sturdy chair.
"Loki please lay down. You promised you would calm after Sigyn agreed to see you. Please don't go back on your word." Diniah pleaded with her friend. Sigyn scoffed.
"You're really asking the prince of lies not to go back on his word? Don't be so naive." Diniah looked shocked and then frowned a little and stood back.
"Don't call her that! We both know he would never lie to Diniah. Would you brother?" Thor defended Diniah and looked to Loki who looked pleasantly shocked at his brothers input.
"Of course not. And for your information Sigyn, I wouldn't lie to you either. Nor would I go and break my wedding vows." Loki seethed.
"Diniah please help me back into bed." Diniah nodded at her friend and a pleased smile lit up her face.
"I bet it's not the first time she helped you into bed." Sigyn muttered.
"She is not the pregnant one." Loki explained while laying back down.
"So you admit it!" Sigyn exclaimed.
"I admit nothing!" Loki shouted back.
"ENOUGH!" Thor bellowed slamming his hands on the coffee table besides him.
"Sigyn, stop taking your anger and guilt out on me. I have done nothing but try and help you. Loki please stop being spiteful, while she's here ask her some questions and figure out what you are going to do next. Thor, thank you for sticking up for me." Diniah said the last one with the small smile, Thor had to hold back a blush and clear his throat.
"So Sigyn. Who's the father?" Thor asked. Diniah sighed and Sigyn looked down.
"That doesn't really matter does it." Sigyn sighed.
"Of course it matters. I want to know who got my wife pregnant." Loki scoffed.
"Hogun." Sigyn said quietly.
"Hogun?" Thor asked.
"Hogun." Diniah confirmed. For a while after that everything was silent. Both Sigyn and Loki were nearing tears and Diniah felt helpless. It was a while before Loki broke the silence.
"Why?" He croaked out.
"I was feeling alone and he forced his way into my room. Claiming I shouldn't be alone. At first it was innocent." Sigyn sighed.
"Hogun? Our Hogun? Quiet Hogun?!" Thor asked incredulously.
"Thor." Diniah disapproved of his interruption.
"I was lonely." Sigyn continued.
"Of your own doing. I was told you refused company." Loki glared.
"No one cared enough to persist." She sighed at Diniah.
"Sigyn I am not a mind reader!" Diniah cried.
"He made me laugh Loki. He made me feel less alone." Sigyn was pleading now. Pleading for everyone to understand.
"So you opened your legs while your husband was locked away?" Loki cried.
"By your own hand. You were imprisoned because of your own actions!"
"THEY WERE NOT HIS OWN!" Diniah shouted.
"You don't know anything about his time away Sigyn so do not pretend to! Do you know what happened between him and Odin? BETWEEN HIM AND HIS OWN BROTHER?! No, because you were to busy thinking about yourself. I was there to pick his broken heart up. I was there to show him he was not alone. I was there listening to him, laughing with him and being with him. I was the one helping him together and no matter how much he pleaded to see you! You just wouldn't come out of your room to give him the time of day. You do not know what hell he has been through and now you play the victim!" Somewhere between her rant Diniah had started to cry. She felt arms around her, they were to heavy to be Loki's so they must have been Thor's.
"I bet Hogun doesn't even know he is a father does he?" Sigyn shook her head, tear marks down her face.
"You are going to sort this mess out Sigyn. No-one else. And next time you see fit to blame Loki for anything just remember he has been through more than you can possibly imagine. And he deserves hell of a lot more than a stuck up princess!" She sniffed and stood up from Thor's arms. Walking over to the door and looked over to Loki. He looked at Diniah and she nearly started crying again from the look in his eyes. Pain and hope. Hope that maybe someone in this entire realm was there for him and believed him with every word he spoke. Diniah walked out and over to the library. She needed a break.
