Bonnie knew that this needed to stop; she also knew she was crossing a line she never knew was drawn in the first place. But his blood, the smell and the taste of it called to her like a siren. Slowly, but surely she felt as if she was being held down by bounds and shackles that were too strong for her to break. But none of that mattered.
She needed this moment, she needed to feed
The sensation was unlike anything he ever felt. It was like being caressed by a feather while getting a blow job all at the same time. And yet he still felt as if that wasn't an accurate enough description. Damon tighten his grip on Bonnie's long tresses bringing her impossibly close to the point where you didn't know where one ended and the other began.
"I hope it's a good for him as it was for me?"
Bonnie's head snapped up, blood dripping from her mouth. "What?" she asked obviously confused but she wasn't sure if it was from the high from Damon's blood or she turned around to see Kol standing in the doorway.
"Relax love, I'm only here to enjoy the show." He smirked
Bonnie growled the veins under her eyes started pulsating. "Get the hell out of here, before I kill you."
"And how exactly do think you're going to do that?" this time the voice not belonging to Kol.
"Stefan?" Bonnie gasped hurriedly whipping the blood from her mouth "I can explain."
Stefan chuckled darkly "Explain what? That you've been caught with your hand in the cookie jar." He said walking towards the new born hybrid "You've been a naughty little vampire, haven't you bonnie."
Bonnie blinked suddenly filling the shift in Stefan's mood. It was slightly less dark and a little more seductive. Bonnie gulped not knowing how to respond to him "S-Stefan I wanted to tell you but I couldn't—"
"You couldn't what? You couldn't tell Saint Stefan that you were too much of a coward to admit that the one thing you despised has now became a life force." Damon chuckled and flashed in front of her again.
"Who's the blood sucking leech now?" Elena smirked
Bonnie pushed Damon and away and sped toward the garbage can throwing up everything she consumed that night. Damon approached Bonnie like she was a dangerous animal "Bonnie you need—"
"Don't" Bonnie said holding up her hand "I don't need anything, especially from you." She spat.
Damon narrowed his eyes confused by her change in mood "What the hell is going with you? " Damon shook his head "You know what I don't care, you need to feed now."
Bonnie was up and in Damon's face so fast he almost stumbled backwards "Don't tell me what to do you evil son of a bitch. You couldn't wait to capitalize on this, just like you couldn't wait to help yourself to your brother's girlfriend. Too bad it was all for nothing since we both know Elena will NEVER love you the way she loves Stefan. You will always be the one she wanted as an afterthought, you will always be the one not quite good enough, and you will always be the stepping stool to something better." Bonnie invaded Damon's personal space the same way he's use to doing "and we both know that's Stefan."
Damon eyes flashed red and in the next second he had Bonnie by the throat against the wall. He snarled in her face seemly ready to attack her until he was thrown across the room by Stefan, but Damon quickly got to his feet.
Stefan vamped out ready to attack his brother. The urge to protect what was his slammed into him like a sledge hammer. "Touch her again and I'll kill you." Stefan threaten.
Elena gasped not believing what she was hearing. She had never heard Stefan sound so menacing outside of his ripper binge and it was all because of Bonnie. "What the hell's going on in here?" Elena asked trying to push down her own anger.
Damon eyes never left Bonnie's. He always knew Bonnie had a way with words especially when it came to cutting him to the quick but this was something entirely differently.
Bonnie dropped her eyes not able to take Damon's harsh gaze. "For once, this wasn't his fault. Damon tried to help me and I lashed out like I've been doing a lot lately."
Stefan turned to face Bonnie "What's going on Bonnie?"
Bonnie shook her head she could already feel Stefan's uneasiness and the tension in the room wasn't helping matters either "Not here, can you take me home please?" she said but her eyes were still on Damon.
Elena opened her mouth to object. She wasn't sure if it was out of concern for Bonnie or because she didn't want Stefan to leave with her.
Caroline made her presence known since apparently everyone either forgot or didn't care "Go ahead, we're right behind you." She said looking at Tyler who nodded in agreement.
Stefan took a hold of Bonnie's arm trying to lead her out of the room. But Bonnie didn't budge. She was too busy having a staring contest with Damon.
"Bonnie, we're leaving." Stefan said finally breaking the trance.
Bonnie nodded and walked out of the class room with Stefan and Tyler and Caroline following behind.
Elena turned to face Damon who had his eyes still locked on the empty door way "What happened Damon?"
When he didn't respond Elena thought it was because he didn't hear her, so when she opened her mouth to ask again he finally looked at her as if this was the first time he saw her. "Nothing, we're leaving." He said before walking out of the room.
Well, now the death of two of her classmates were now on her hands. Kol thought as he stepped over Cindy the co- captain of their cheerleading team. What the hell was she thinking feeding on Damon of all people? Kol shook his head not understanding were the sudden jealousy was coming from. Instead deciding to chuck it up as a power play. He wiped the remaining blood off his mouth before speeding into the night. As far as he was concerned Bonnie Bennett had two strikes against her.
Instead of spending the night at Bonnie's like they planned, Caroline decided to spend the night at Tyler's since she knew Bonnie and Stefan had a lot to talk about. She and Bonnie would have their conversation later.
Stefan watched as Bonnie paced back and forth. The tick in his jaw never disappearing after his almost fight with Damon. He couldn't explain it but the urge to protect Bonnie was stronger than any urges he had with Elena. He saw Damon attacking her and instantly the ripper thrashed around in its cage almost as if he was waiting for excuse to end Damon's life.
"Bonnie, what —"
"I almost fed on Damon." Bonnie blurted out causing every muscle in Stefan's Bonnie to tense.
"You What?
Bonnie dropped her eyes from his "The hunger came back and I didn't want to feed on a human so Damon offered—"
Stefan shook his head but still said nothing and he didn't have to because Bonnie already felt it. "I know you're angry, I can feel it so you might as well let it out."
"I'm trying to help you and you lie to me." He said quietly standing up from the bed "you're family has entrusted me to protect you and unlike Damon I tend on keeping my word."
Bonnie scoffed "You feel guilty that I died protecting you, that's what this is really about. Not the sire bond or the fact that my family appointed you to be my vampire daddy. Your guilt is what's leading your emotions and you need to stop because I can't live with it."
Stefan narrowed his eyes "what are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about me feeling things Stefan, I feel everything especially your guilt and I can't take it anymore. It's bad enough I have to carry my own hell I don't need to carry yours to."
Stefan sighed running his hand through his hair "I can't help it, you shouldn't be a vampire, you shouldn't have to live your life like this and—"
Bonnie held up her hand "My bed was made months ago," she shrugged "I just didn't want to lie in it and I still don't but what chose do I have. I just need to find my way."
Stefan nodded stepping closer to Bonnie "Let me help you find it, if you won't let me carry the guilt that I rightfully should feel then let me be there for you in other ways."
Bonnie looked up into Stefan's eyes and for the first time she wasn't sure what he was really asking her. After a while she dropped her eyes from his "If anyone asks tell them I don't cry as much as I use to." She choked out.
Stefan nodded and pulled her into his arms and let the new born hybrid cry against his chest. "I promise." He whispered and kissed the top of her head.
Damon charged into the house almost slamming the door on Elena's face because he forget she was walking behind him.
"Damon slow down, what the hell happened back there?" she asked getting angry because he refused to tell her what the hell was going on with him.
Damon walked to the bar and instead of drinking from the glass he took the top of the decanter off of his Johnny walker and chugged straight from the bottle, He had never wanted to hurt someone so badly in his entire life, but what was worse was the fact that he knew he wouldn't lay a finger on Bonnie.
He couldn't. Something was definitely wrong with him.
"Not now Elena."
Elena shook her head "What do you mean not now, something—"
"I said not now." Damon yelled shooting the decanter at the fireplace causing Elena to jump back.
"You're acting like an ass all because of whatever the hell happened with Bonnie in that classroom. And it must've been bad because you would never act like this."
Damon laughed bitterly "On the contrary Elena, I always act like this, this is who I am." Damon flashed in front of Elena "You were just too blind to see it or maybe your eyes were just too full of Stefan."
Elena shook her head "You're wrong, I think it's your eyes who's too full of Bonnie." She pulled down the collar of his jacket "I mean that's why she fed on you, right?" she questioned eying the blood on his neck with tears in her eyes.
Damon opened and closed his mouth instead walking around to get another drink.
Elena nodded. "You let my best friend feed off of you and you won't even defend yourself."
She knew that this was going to happen sooner rather than later but because she loved Damon she thought that would be enough, she was wrong. Elena turned on her heels and walked away.
Damon placed the glass down on the table when he saw her walking out of the room. "Elena." He called but she didn't stop so he called her again "Elena, don't walk away from me." He tried a different approach using the sire bond instead.
Elena stopped and looked over her shoulder at Damon before turning around and proceeded to walk out the front door.
Damon eyes widen in realization. The one thing that he didn't want to happen was the one thing that got them the best results.
The sire bond was now broken.
