GUYS, GUYS! There's a lemon down there. It's my first one, so it's PROBABLY HORRIBLE!

EDWARD

The dog was arriving. I heard him run up the steps. He didn't even knock before he swung the door open.

"Bella, the baby has fingernails this week!" he exclaimed. In two quick strides, he was across the room.

Bella, who was reading her book on the couch, laughed loudly. "You scared me half to death!" she breathed.

Jake gave her stomach a kiss. "You are ten weeks old now, baby!" he sang.

Jacob was entirely too comfortable at our house now. It had only been a few weeks since Bella and I had returned from our honeymoon. I couldn't stand to be in the house when they were together. I knew she tried to keep her feelings to herself, but she couldn't hide from Jasper. And I could hear his thoughts.

Bella loved Jacob. And it wasn't how it was before. This was different. She didn't love him like a brother. Part of her wanted to be with him. Instead of feeling like I never should have left, I was beginning to feel like I never should have come back. I was clearly in the way of whatever it was they had.

I needed to leave. I turned towards the door, but Jacob stopped me before I left.

I know where you're going, he thought. I turned around. He was looking at me, an eyebrow cocked.

I shrugged. It didn't matter where I went. Bella obviously didn't care.

As soon as I was outside, I started running. It was only for a minute before I found Alice. She was sitting on the bank of a river. She had her feet dipped in the water.

Edward, I can't see you, she thought.

"Well, perhaps if you opened your eyes…" I offered.

She turned to face me. She looked distraught. "No, Edward. I cannot find your future. If I'm looking for a future with you and Bella in it, I know I won't be able to see you because of Jacob and the baby. But I am usually able to find just you. What are you doing?"

I shook my head. "It must be the baby," I answered simply. There was no other real explanation for it. If we were going to have werewolves in such close proximity all of the time, then Alice should have probably expected that one of us would go disappearing every now and again.

She didn't say anything else. I left her alone. She wasn't the person I was going to see anyway.

I wasn't very far from our meeting place. She was already there, waiting for me. Leah's wolf paced back and forth.

He couldn't stop thinking about Bella this morning. I figured you'd be here. She tried to keep those thoughts to a minimum when we were together. Before she could contain it, images from Jacob's mind flashed through hers. He and Bella were entwined in his bed. They were just sleeping, fully-clothed, but it still made me angry. How easily they could be together. There were no worry lines on her face, like when she slept next to me.

Sorry, grumbled Leah. She didn't like seeing those images either.

"Doesn't matter," I lied.

I shifted into a crouch. Leah bared her teeth. Over the past few weeks, Leah and I met in the forest. I fought to channel my anger into something that wouldn't hurt Bella. Leah fought because she liked to fight.

She didn't wait for me to start. I knew what she was going to do just before she did it, which allowed me to dodge her first attack. I rolled out of the way, and her claw swiped the air where I was standing just a second before.

She spun around quickly and almost landed a hit. I may have been able to read her mind, but Leah was born for this. She was made to kill vampires. I may have been older, but killing us was in her blood.

I pushed her roughly, and she tumbled backwards. She righted herself quickly, and it looked like she was smiling.

I am going to get you today, she thought proudly.

I laughed. I hardly ever laughed anymore. It sounded strange. "You wish!"

She rolled her eyes and charged at me.

We sparred for a long time. Eventually, Leah quit thinking in words. Her instincts took over completely, and that's when she became really dangerous. I wasn't on the offensive anymore. I was barely able to block her attacks.

And then it happened.

She flung herself at me, and we both went crashing into the ground.

Ha! she thought.

I laughed again. And then, I wasn't hearing her in my head anymore. Instead of being pinned underneath Leah's wolf, I was under her very human body. She was straddling me. She was still laughing, as if she didn't quite realize what was happening.

I froze.

When werewolves phased, they could not be wearing clothes, or else they would be ripped to shreds in the transformation. When they turned back into humans, clothes did not magically appear.

Leah was very naked and very much on top of me. Her head was on my chest.

When she saw my face, she started laughing harder. "What, you've never seen a naked girl before?"

"It's not that," I muttered uncertainly. This was different. A very new development. Leah had never been so comfortable with me before.

She pushed herself up, settling her weight on my hips. I tried to maintain eye contact, but it was difficult.

She ran her hand through her hair. "Don't you get such a rush after fighing?" she asked, breathlessly. "I feel like I could do anything right now." She was focused on something in the distance.

When I didn't answer, her eyes flashed to mine. She caught me looking at her body.

She grinned wickedly and rocked slightly against me. My body reacted in response. She smirked at the reaction.

I placed my hands on her hips. I needed to get her off of me. She put her hands over mine. "I don't think so."

She was so warm. Slowly, she bent forward. Her perfect breasts pressed against me. "You don't get to leave here with your clothes on. You deserve this," she whispered before pressing her lips to mine.

I couldn't stop myself. When our lips touched, it was like my skin was set on fire. A chill ran down my spine. I wanted this.

I rolled over so she was lying on the ground. I held myself over her for just a moment. She wrapped her legs around my waist and pulled me closer. She grabbed at the bottom of my sweater, and we only broke apart so she could pull it over my head. Her warm breasts pressed against my chest, fire on ice.

Her hand snaked down to the bulge in my pants. I growled at the touch, and she smiled against my mouth. In one deft movement, she had undone the button of my jeans. She slowly eased the zipper downwards. I sat up and pulled her with me. She wrapped her arms around my neck. I lowered my lips to the soft skin below her ear. She gasped and arched her back.

I couldn't stand it anymore. I stood up and lifted her with me. She wrapped her legs around my waist. In a second, I had her pinned against a tree. I wanted her, I needed her. In one careful motion, I positioned myself between her legs. She gasped as I eased myself inside of her. I caught my breath. She was so warm. Slowly, at first, I began to move inside her. Her hands tangled in my hair and brough my face to her chest. I traced the skin around her nipples withmy tongue. She was perfect.

"Faster," she moaned in my ear. "You won't hurt me."

I couldn't think. She felt so good. I didn't have to restrain myself around her. I would never hurt her.

I let myself go. When she climaxed around me, it sent me over the edge. I pressed myself against her and squeezed her tightly.

It was quiet for a long time. I held her there, against the tree. Our foreheads pressed together, and we kept our eyes closed. We were breathing loudly.

She finally opened her eyes. "We're in trouble," she whispered.

I nodded. It was true. But at that moment, I found it very hard to care.
