Late Spring

Pan sighed when she felt the presence disappear. Honestly, she wondered about whom it could be for almost a week now. She was beginning to think they wouldn't show up again, but they did.. And she felt so thrilled! Now if only they would come out of their hiding...

Camelot gave her a low whine and she glanced up at him. The sun was starting to set, so it was time for her to be heading back to the castle. She stood up, gathering her belongings in her bag and her blanket. She climbed onto Camelot and they rode back to the castle in peace.

Pan entered her mother's room quietly as the woman stood on the balcony watering some planets. "Panny," Chi-Chi called, knowing it was her daughter without even turning around.

"Momma," Pan smiled back.

"Did you just get back?" Chi-Chi asked, finishing up watering the planets.

"Mhm," Pan nodded, sitting on the couch in her mother's room. "The weather is getting so beautiful, you should come with me."

"Hm, I might," Chi-Chi told her softly, though she knew herself that she likely wouldn't. That clearing had too many memories of Goku haunting it for her to go there and enjoy herself. With a sigh she sat down next to her daughter and pushed some of her long hair behind her ears. "My Panny," she whispered to her with a smile. "You're growing so lovely."

Pan smiled and Chi-Chi couldn't stop her heart from melting. If only Goku could have been there... Oh, how he would have loved to see them growing up.

The second sun had just set in the horizon when Trunks arrived in his room. He let out a small sigh through his nose... How was it that he was still thinking about that earthling?

He shook his head, deciding that it was time for him to find something else to do. He walked out of his room, not having a certain place in mind as he wandered down the castle halls.

"Tru-nii," a voice called, causing him to slow his pace.

He turned just in time to see his sister walk up to him. He studied her for a few seconds. Her curly blue hair was pinned away from her face, she wore a sparkly tiara with dangling earrings, a necklace, bracelets and rings to match. Her poofy bubblegum dress she wore made her blue hair stand out. She was different than the Earth's Princess.

"What do you want?" Trunks finally asked.

"Where have you been all day?" Bulla raised a brow.

Trunks smirked, there was no way he'd tell Bulla where he had been. She's never let him hear the end of it, or worse- she'd tell their father. "Away," he told her simply.

Bulla pouted out her lips, "that doesn't tell me much..."

Trunks laughed, "what make you think I'll tell you all my secrets?" He sent her a wink.

Bulla's pout deepened. That had only made her more curious... She was a noisy creature by habit- probably a trait she had inherited from her mother. She would figure out Trunks' little secret sooner or later... Unfortunately for now...

"Well, Daddy was looking for you... Frieza has contacted him..."

Trunks' smile dropped. "And...?"

"There's a raid..." Bulla told her brother gently. "Daddy has the details..."

Trunks breathed deeply through his nose. If there was one thing he hated the most about being under Frieza's rule was the raids... He glanced down, seein his sister's worried face, and he patted her head gently.

"It'll be alright," he told her softly.

She gave him a small smile and a nod as she watched him turn to go to their father's study. It wasn't until he left that she let out a deep sigh... If only things could be different...

Early Summer

Trunks rolled his neck as he waited for the ships doors to open. Two, long and boring days he had spent on that bloody ship. Not only listening to Raditz and Nappa's idiotic mouths, but several other soldiers as well. It about drove Trunks insane, but, he let them carry on with themselves because it seemed to make them better during battles.

Trunks glanced down at his black armor... A layered chest plate, sturdy shoulder pads and heavy boots. The thick armor was very flexible, and very sturdy... His mother had made them, and they were almost nearly impossible to rip... His red Saiyan crest pendant hung around his neck proudly.

"Ya ready?" Nappa glance at Trunks who stood in front of the men.

He glanced at the tall man. Sometimes he wondered why he even had to come to these things... All he was really there for was the to either make the agreement with the current ruler... Or to kill them if they didn't agree to Frieza's terms.

"Yeah..." Trunks nodded. "Open the doors..."

The planet Hemon, was rather small dirt-like planet. But the aliens living there were huge. The Hemonians were big-boned with dark-green skin and orc looking faces. Though big, they weren't trained for combat.

Trunks sighed as the Hemonians gathered around the ship... His job was quite simple- get the King's crown and use any means possible to do so. Once he had that, his men were up to do what needed to be done.

Trunks stared at the Hemonian King in front of him... His wrinkled face looked sun-worn, and his prodding yellow teeth took up over half of his lower face. His small golden crown, sat on top of his head.

"You must know why we're here," Trunks began in a monotone. "We can do this the simple way," he told them calmly. Honestly, he had a headache and didn't feel like fighting. So he hoped it would be the easy way...

The Hemonian King let out a loud roar. "You Saiyan's ain't taken' my planet!"

Raditz scowled, "They really are stupid, aren't they?"

Nappa chuckled. "You know... Most aliens spices think we're stupid."

"What a sad lie," Raditz sighed dramatically. "I happen to be quite smart."

"Yeah, at getting your ass kicked," Nappa snickered.

"Well, I oughta-"

"Enough you two," Trunks ordered, his voice was still calm, but it had an air of authority to it. "We still have a planet to claim."

"I already told ya, you ain't gettin' my planet!" The Hemonian King snarled.

"Trust me, I don't want it," Trunks rolled his eyes. "But for some reason Lord Frieza does," The Saiyan Prince growled.

"Well, he ain't gettin' it either!"

Trunks was quiet for a few seconds; he wished he could stand up to Frieza like that again... But last time he did, something awful happened... "There are no negotiations."

"Then we fight for it!" The King roared.

Trunks sighed heavily, "why must you be so set on making us the enemies?"

The Hemonians let out a warrior's cry, and ran towards the Saiyan ship. Trunks was the first to move as he drew his sword from his back, and plunged it right into the King's chest before the Hemonian could reach him. The Saiyan was emotionless as he grabbed the crown, kicked the King's chest to remove his sword and then sliced his head right off as he fell.

"You know what to do," Trunks told the other Saiyans as he past them and headed into the ship. He heard Nappa and Radtiz start up a bet on who could saluter the most- something they occasionally did during missions.

Trunks paid them no mind as he went to the control station and sat down in the pilot seat with a sigh. He threw the Hemonian King's crown on the passenger seat with a scoff... That wasn't the first time he had to kill someone under Frieza's rule, and he was sure it probably wouldn't be his last... He glanced down at his bracelet, wishing he could see the Earth's Princesses, and if she could maybe bring him some comfort... But he almost doubted it would. What if he had been wrong and everyone had been right... What if the Saiyans really were monsters?
