-With Someone/ Someplace-

-Flashback-

I realize this chapter is short and I'm sorry for that, but I'm going to try to get the next chapter out within the week so the wait shouldn't be too long. I also went back and added/removed some stuff to my previous chapters if you'd like to check it out. But anyway...enjoy...it's been a long time.

A young pink haired girl stood staring at her newly acquired team. She still wasn't entirely sure what to make of it. She had been placed on the same team as the infamous Sasuke Uchiha, the heartthrob of her class, which she was absolutely thrilled about. She glanced over at her other teammate, and this is where things started getting complicated in the young girl's mind. She didn't know what to make of her blonde haired teammate.

Every memory she had of the boy wasn't exactly pleasant, and he seemed to have rather violent tendencies. She had, not too long ago, been terrified of this boy, but something he had recently said was sticking with her.

-Flashback-

Sakura stared at Naruto furious for what he had just done to her precious Sasuke-kun. She wasn't expecting what she witnessed, however. The blonde's expression changed from rage to confusion as his gaze turned towards the ground below him.

"It's people like you Sakura, like create monsters like me."

-End Flashback-

It wasn't just what Naruto had said to her though. It was that Sakura knew he was being honest with his words. It was the first time Sakura had seen Naruto look so hurt, and it took away any doubt that he was being sincere.

The three members of Team Seven were currently making their way to the top of the academy. Their sensei had come in only moments before and told them to meet him on the roof.

It didn't take very long for the three of them to reach the top and face their new sensei. The man known as Kakashi Hatake was leaning against a wall reading some kind of book. Sakura took note that the name of the book was Icha Icha Paradise, but didn't really care what it was about.

Kakashi glanced up and was pleased to find that all three of his new students were standing around him.

"Go ahead and take a seat."

Sakura and Sasuke decided to do just that, while Naruto continued to stand.

Kakashi nodded and placed his book into his right pocket.

"Okay so we're going to start off by introducing ourselves. Just say your likes, dislikes, hobbies, and stuff like that."

Kakashi's visible eye shot towards Sakura as she raised her hand.

"You don't need to raise your hand, but go ahead."

"I was thinking that maybe you should go first sensei. Just to give us an idea of what to say."

Kakashi nodded in agreement, "That makes sense...my name is Kakashi Hatake, I have no intention of telling you my likes and dislikes. As for my dream...-" Kakashi trailed off as he glanced up at the sky, "And I have a few hobbies."

Everyone on Team Seven just stared at their sensei, while Sakura's eye twitched. Naruto was disappointed to say the least even if his face didn't show it.

'I was really hoping to learn something about him today.'

Kakashi then gave an eye smile as he pointed to Sakura. "You go next."

Sakura nodded and began to think, "I'm Sakura Haruno, I like...well the person I like is..." She glanced over at Sasuke as her face turned a bright red. "My goal...well dream is..." This was followed by another glance at Sasuke. This time it was accompanied by a squeal however.

Kakashi rubbed his head as he let out a sigh, "What do you hate?"

Sakura thought for a second before shrugging, "I don't really hate anything."

Kakashi nodded and followed it by pointing to Sasuke, "You go next."

Sasuke didn't even hesitate as he interlocked his fingers in front of his face.

"My name is Uchiha Sasuke, I have a lot of things I hate, and not many things that I like. Also I have an ambition that I have no intention of leaving as just a dream. The revival of my clan and to kill a certain man."

Kakashi sighed inwardly, expecting this type of response, he then pointed over to Naruto. "You're last go ahead."

"My name is Uzumaki Naruto...I don't like much, I hate quite a lot, and my only real hobby is training."

Kakashi, once again, was not shocked by this response. He knew he had a lot of work to do with this team if he wanted them to function properly.

"Okay well if that's all there is to say then we're going to head over to training ground thirteen."

Sasuke raised an eyebrow as he stood up, "We're going to start training this soon?"

Kakashi glanced in the young Uchiha's direction as he shook his head.

"No, this is a survival test. If you pass then you become a genin, but if you fail then it's back to the academy until next year."

All three of Kakashi's students were shocked, but Sakura was the most audible about it.

"We fail!? How is that fair!? We already took the test and passed!"

Kakashi just chuckled softly to himself. "You passed the knowledge portion of the test, which is important, but not the most vital."

Sasuke raised an eyebrow as he continued to stare at his sensei. "What do you mean?"

"Well I want you three to think about it this way. If you've read a book on how to safely disarm a bomb. Would it be smart to instantly throw you into a life or death situation where one mistake could end your life? Of course not, it's better to have some practice scenarios so that when you actually run into the situation you have some first-hand experience with it. Knowing how to do something in your head is completely different than doing it first-hand. So we want to make sure you're able to handle yourselves."

All three of Kakashi's students nodded in understanding. By the time Kakashi had finished explaining the reasoning behind the test Team 7 had already arrived at the training ground.

"Now...-" Kakashi pulled out two small bells, "The goal of this test is to get these two bells from me before sunset. If you don't have a bell by the end of the test you fail. Any questions?"

Sakura stepped forward slightly, "Why are there only two bells if there are three of us?"

Kakashi smiled as he held the bells up, "That's because one of you is going to fail this test, while the other two pass."

Naruto was looking at Kakashi rather confused.

'Only two of us can pass? That doesn't make any sense...each team consists of a sensei and three students. Why would he only pass two of us then? Maybe the point isn't to actually get the bells it's something else...what could it be though...'

Naruto's visible eye shot open as realization hit him, 'Of course! There's only two bells so that we all turn on each other! The real objective is to prove that we can work together as a unit. We might even be able to get both of the bells if we execute correctly.'

Naruto's expression changed from confusion to one of satisfaction as a smirk appeared on his features. Kakashi took notice of this as he raised his visible eyebrow.

"What are you smirking about?"

Sakura and Sasuke had been so lost in their own thoughts that they hadn't noticed their blonde teammate's expression. They both glanced over to stare at Naruto.

"Oh nothing really, I was just thinking about how all three of us are going to pass this test."

Sasuke and Sakura's eyes shot open as they stared at Naruto wide eyed.

Kakashi's eye widened slightly in amusement. "Oh? How exactly are you going to go about doing that?"

Naruto shoved his hands in his pockets, the smirk never leaving his features, "Oh don't worry you'll see."

Sakura was staring at the blonde in disbelief, 'Naruto knows how we can all pass? I've got to find him as soon as the test begins to find out what his plan is.'

Sasuke was thinking along the same lines as Sakura, but was slightly angry that, if Naruto had actually found a way for all of them to pass, it was the blonde and not himself.

Kakashi tied the two bells to a loop on his pants as he jumped back slightly. The jōnin was now standing underneath a tree as he observed the trio.

He pulled out his favorite book as he leaned against the tree. "Begin."

With that single word all three of his students were gone.

Kakashi glanced up and smirked slightly, 'Let the fun begin."
