Raven

Raven lay still and silent on the ground as her head pounded, a wave of pain following each pulse. She opened her eyes slowly, squinting at the fuzzy spinning sky above her. As the world started to steady out again raven tried moving her arms, relived to find nothing seemed to be broken. She sat up and felt the blood rushing from her head. Using the side of the cliff to help her balance, raven managed to stand up shakily. She stumbled forward, clinging to the wall to keep from swaying. Her headache was slowly becoming more of a dull pain. The ground seemed to steady out.

God my head hurts. What just happened, I fell off… It felt like someone pushed me… was it…? Jeeze. Well this could have gone worse.

Then raven spotted someone walking towards her. Raven heard them call out her name, and recognised the voice immediately.

"Scott?" momentarily forgetting her past encounter, she called back. Scott looked relieved as he ran towards her. "Raven! Man, am I glad to see you. Something really weird is going on and…" Scott let his sentence trail off as he noticed the pained look on ravens face. "…are you okay? Raven, you don't look to good. Did something happen?" as he reached out towards her a sickening thought suddenly struck her mind.

Wait. What if this is a trap? What if this is another trick he can't be real oh no it's a trap it's a trap I know it.

Raven lurched back. She wasn't going to fall for the same trick twice. She had to get away. Scott looked confused "raven? Wait, raven! Was wrong? It's me, relax it's just me-"

Raven stumbled backwards, almost falling. "N-no! You're not! You're not real you can't be, you won't trick me again!" She started to run. "You can't fool me!" Scott paused in surprise, before following after. "Raven, what are you talking about? It's me, look, I'm not fake! What do you mean again? Raven? Wait!" she looked back and ducked behind a nearby tree, making sure that Scott wouldn't see her. To her relief; it worked and Scott went running right by, still calling out. Raven looked out in time to see Scott looking around quickly, trying to figure out what way she went. She didn't move from her spot until he ran off in a random direction.

Hearing the sound of waves off in the distance, raven decided to head in that direction. The steady sound of the tide drawing in and out started to calm her nerves. Once she finally arrived at the shore, raven walked over to the water's edge and cupped some water in her hand, splashing it on her face in attempt to clam herself. As she stood back up, raven caught something out of the corner of her eye in the water. She spun around quickly, but found nothing was there.

It was nothing. I'm just being paranoid.

Raven sighed and quickly walked away from the shore.

I really just need to stop over reacting-

Her thoughts were cut short as she heard a voice shouting. Her first thought was to panic, thinking it was Scott again, but she realised this was different. It didn't sound like Scott this time.

"Raven! Is that you? Hey, over here! It's us!"

Raven spun around

Russ? Battlestar!

They ran towards her, looking happy but surprised. Raven couldn't help but feel suspicious though. What if this is another trick, since I didn't follow Scott…

"Raven, how did you get here? Oh never mind. I'm glad we found you. We have no clue what's going on." Battlestar started rambling off as soon as he was within ear shot. Russ seemed to notice how shaken up raven felt. "Raven, are you okay? You seem a bit shaken up… what happened?"

Raven paused for a moment, wondering whether to trust them or not. Oh who am I kidding? Of course they're real. I really could use the company.

"Yes, yes I'm fine. Really." Raven finally spit out. "Nothing's wrong. Don't worry. Are you guys okay?"

"Yea, we're fine. Have you seen anyone else around? It can't be coincidence that all 3 of us are here. I wonder if the others might be around…"

"No no I haven't met anyone else." Raven cut in. she didn't want to tell them about Scott. No yet anyway. She didn't want to sound crazy. She had been seeing things. Battlestar and Russ seemed slightly unsure of her answer."I just… I don't really want to talk about it right now, I lost my footing up off that cliff and I fell and that's all I know so far."

"Oh god, you fell from, there? Are you sure you're okay?"

Raven sighed. "Yes, I'm fine. Perfectly fine"

For now anyway…
