Chapter 8
Disclaimer: I do not own anything pertaining to the world of Harry Potter
A/N: For Hermione's part, I caught myself listening to "Break In" by Halestorm and for Fred's part, I was listening to "Drowning" by Backstreet Boys if that helps anyone get a feel for where I was when I was writing this chapter please read and review so I know where I need to go with this or if you enjoy it. My main theme for this is based off "My Hero" by Foo Fighters.
"So, what's it like?" Ginny squealed excitedly. She grabbed Hermione's hand to examine the ring.
"Oh, Ginny, I love it!" Hermione giggled. "I couldn't ask for anyone better to spend the rest of my life with. I mean, it's like he gets who I am. Not that you don't…" she gushed.
Ginny laughed. "I knew what you meant, silly. Looking at the both of you together now, you two are completely perfect for each other. For the longest time, I thought it would have been you and Ron getting married. Oh well, he's a prat anyways. You and Fred will be so happy together. I can't wait to see the wedding!" she rambled on.
"Speaking of wedding," Hermione began, "I will be needing a maid of honor…would you please be it, Ginny? You're my best friend, I couldn't see it any other way."
"Hermione? Really?" Ginny questioned excitedly. "You know I will! Oh, I'm so excited!" she squealed.
"Thank you so much. It really means so much," Hermione spoke graciously and gave Ginny a hug.
"Hey, George, can you come here for a minute?" Fred called out from his room.
"Hey, whatcha need?" George asked as he walked in.
"Well, I was just wondering if you would be willing to be in the wedding…Hermione was going to ask Ginny to be the maid of honor. I would really be honored if you would," Fred explained nervously.
"Sure," George replied, "Anything for my favorite twin brother."
"I'm your only twin brother," Fred remarked as a smirk came across his face.
"Hey, Fred, you're really lucky to have a woman like Hermione in your life. She's a great person. Please take care of her," George told Fred.
"Thanks. She gets me, you know? Mostly girls go at me because I'm funny, witty…and good-looking, but it's like she looks right through all of that and sees who I truly am as a person. She's changed so much…not a bad thing, but, I don't know. I can't find the words to explain it right. When she walks in the room, she takes my breath away. When I'm angry or having a bad day, she can get me to calm down and smile in an instant. Nobody else has ever been able to do that," Fred confessed.
"Like I said, you better take care of her, Fred. You can't lose her," George advised, "Well, I hate to run out on you, but mum's been calling for help downstairs."
"Thanks, George," Fred said, hugging his brother.
"Absolutely no problem at all," he replied, returning Fred's hug and leaving the room.
