After school, at home, I told Dad about what happened and he was glad I did the right thing.
"There was no way I would be doing that. When I told the girls, they advised me to tell the principal right away. She got in trouble. She suspected I told him because she beat me up. Thank god for Marci who saved me for that. Her detention expanded up to four days," I said.
"That would teach her a lesson," said Dad.
"I know," I agreed. "I'm glad I said no to her. I didn't even promise her I wouldn't say anything when she begged me not to tell anyone. I walked away pretending I did that."
That night, it was dinnertime. My stomach started to hurt me that caused me feel nauseous. I came down slowly and took my time to eat. I was afraid to get sick.
"Are you alright? You're not eating much tonight?" asked Dad who noticed that.
"My stomach hurts and is making me nauseous. I'm just taking my time," I replied.
"Okay," said Dad.
I felt a bit better after I ate.
"Do you mind if I skip helping the others cleaning up?" I asked.
"I don't blame you," said Dad.
I went to my room to lie down. I wanted to take it easy for tonight. I also decided to go to bed early so I can get better for school. Somehow, I was able to sleep all night and was better for school.
At school, I think Cokie learned her lesson not to dare me anymore because she hasn't done that to me. Thank God! I hope she won't do that now.
The end.
