Bruce nearly choked when he heard the knock on the door and Natasha whispered to him,

"The sun is getting real low." Natasha whispered soothingly to Bruce, which to them was a code phrase that not only helped bruce calm down but also hypnotically took away all of his worries and anxieties and left him feeling confident.

"The door please, Miss Romanoff." Bruce said calmly as he took his seat behind his desk that had a few case files on it, Natasha smiled and opened the door and ushered Tony into the office,

"Why hello there." Tony started as he saw Natasha open the door,

"What do you say we go back to my penthouse and open our own investigation on a missing zucchini." Tony said suggestively as he started to get a little close to Natasha who was giggling at his odd yet interesting pick up line, seeing this Bruce loudly cleared his throat to bring Tony back to the matter at hand,

"Mr. Stark, you contacted my assistant here because you wanted a consultation on services to investigate your fiancé because you suspect she is trying to murder you." Bruce stated reminding the billionaire of his reason for being here and not gawking at his assistant and girlfriend,

"Yes." Tony said begrudgingly as he broke eye contact with Natasha and moved deeper into the office and extended his hand to bruce,

"Its an honor to meet you Mr. Banner, your reputation precedes you." Tony greeted him officially.

"Please, the honor is all mine, and you with yours. Please have a seat and tell about these suspicions you have of your fiance." Bruce said as he took Tony's hand firmly and gave it a couple of shakes before he took his seat behind the desk and took out a notepad and a pen to write down the facts that Tony was about to present them,

"Well as you know I am a very wealthy man, a captain of the engineering industry. As I have yet to have a wife or any children it makes me a prime target for someone to get in close to me, to pretend to love me and then should I have an unfortunate 'accident' they stand to inherit everything." Tony started slowly to which Bruce and Natasha listened quietly and nodded their heads,

"So understandably I was a little wary to enter into a relationship with Miss Potts. Things between us were good, she seemed to like me for who I am and didn't care about the millions, however as I relaxed and got more serious with her I started to notice little changes in her. More over there were things I couldn't explain when little things happened to me that I couldn't quite explain happened, for example when I was in the elevator at Stark tower going to my office on the twentieth floor the elevator got stuck and immediately after I was able to safely open the doors and crawl out onto the floor the elevator plummeted fifteen feet to the ground." Tony explained trying to contain his anxiety from the event,

"Well its an older building, how do you know it wasn't just an accident?" Natasha asked him curiously looking up from her own notepad,

"Well I had the cable's analyzed, my engineers confirmed that the wires were cut just enough to make one trip up to my office and fail on the way up." Tony answered her in a matter of factly tone,

"Its been incidences like that over the past month and a half that have me wondering if its her or if someone is after me." Tony added,

"Who would want to kill you?" Natasha asked,

"Natasha, he is the owner of the worlds biggest producer of military weapons. He is a war machine, the list of enemies is very, very long." Bruce interjected this time to which Tony arched his eyebrow at Bruce and gave an impressed smirk at the man,

"Are you Batman?" Tony asked him smartly to which Bruce chuckled,

"No, though all of my clients ask that at one point or another." Bruce replied with a small chuckle in his voice,

"Anyway, I figured my fiancé would be a good place to start since shes the one who stands the most to gain from my death." Tony said concluding the job to Bruce and Natasha, the two finished up their notes and looked at Tony,

"Is there anything else you can tell us? Anything at all you can remember about the incidences, someone who didn't belong, anything out of place, anything at all?" Bruce asked for more information, Tony thought for a moment or two and then just shook his head there wasn't anything else he could give or say that could rule out the very long list of people who could want him dead,

"Ok then, we'll get started right away. Allow us to walk you to your car." Bruce said as he stood up and shoved the notepad in his pocket and held out his hand to Tony for another handshake, Tony smiled and grabbed the man's hand and gave a few firm shakes,

"Thank you Mr. Banner." Tony thanked as he allowed Bruce and Natasha to lead the way down the two flights of stairs to the ground floor, on the way down Tony of course couldn't help himself but gawk at Natasha's backside, there was plenty there for him to eye and never get tired. When they got his car he snapped out of it and smiled to the two of them,

"Oh there is one more thing, if you find any information at all please inform my butler Edmond Jarvis. Hes the only man besides you that I trust my life to, hes always by my side and may be able to help you further than I can." Tony said before handing a card that had the phone number of the butler where he could be reached at,

"Thank you Mr. Stark, we'll follow up with him." Bruce said said taking the card, however during this exchange Natasha noticed a car pull up on the otherside of the street with a driver and a man in the back. For some reason it didn't smell right, she watched the car intently for a moment or two and watched as the back window lowered slowly and then a gun barrel stick out. Her eyes widened and she took a quick breath,

"GUN!" She yelled as she dove onto Tony and knocked him down to the ground and was then covered by Bruce who saw it too and got down just before the shooting started. It was an automatic rifle that was firing on them, a large barrage of bullets hit the car that Tony was to get into and drive away. It seemed like they were firing on them for hours but was really only a quick minuet or two, Natasha stayed huddled down on the ground hoping a bullet wouldn't find her. The gun stopped and the sound of tires screeching was heard as the car with the attackers sped away before the cops could come, and the distant echo of sirens coming towards them,

"Natasha…Natasha wake up…Natasha sweetie wake up…" a distant female voice could be heard.

Natasha opened up her eyes and she was confused, then things started to come back to her. She was sick and that was reminded to her by the lovely foggy mind and the feeling of swallowing a pinecone, she was in bed as by looking up and seeing Pepper looking down on her in worry. It was late at night as evidenced by the sleepy eyes of Pepper and the pajamas she was wearing,

"Wha…Whats going on?" she asked worriedly as she could feel how clogged up her nose was as she talked,

"You were having a nightmare sweetie." Pepper said gently as she took a soft hand cloth and gently wiped the sweat from Natasha's forehead and face,

"Jarvis sensed a great deal of movement and noise coming from your room and alerted me to come in and check on you. The good news is that your fever seems to have broken." Natasha explained and added in hoping this would help her feel better about the whole situation. Natasha sat in the bed,

"It was all so real." Natasha said trying to catch her breath which was hard because it was a little hard to breath thanks to being sick,

"Did you want to talk about it?" Pepper offered as she sat on the edge of the bed and waited for Natasha to decide, Natasha's breath slowed and she found herself very tired again,

"No its ok, it can wait…I think I should go back to sleep though." Natasha answered softly before slowly lowering back down in the bed,

"I think its time for another dose of cold medicine, let me get it to you." Pepper said gently as she went to the bathroom and poured another dose of nitequil and brought it to Natasha with a glass of water. Natasha took the medicine and drank some water to wash the taste out of her mouth,

"Thank you Pepper." Natasha thanked as she covered herself up with the blanket again and rolled onto her side to face her friend, Pepper smiled back at her,

"No problem, sleep well." Pepper said before she gently Natasha's arm and then quietly got up to leave. It didn't take long for the medicine to take effect and knock Natasha out again, this time she fell into a very peaceful dreamless sleep.

The next morning Natasha woke up feeling a lot better, she was still a little congested and had a slight cough but at least she was over the worst of it. She laid in bed thinking about her dream, and as odd as it sounded she liked the idea of the story. She would of course change the names and characters and such but it gave her the idea for possibly writing a story. Ever since the other night when she learned Bruce's hobby she had it in her mind to take up a similar hobby, maybe not poetry but certain she thought she could write a story and that fevered dream that she had last night was certainly the idea she wanted. It was certainly something that would get her mind off of getting over this cold. Natasha stayed in bed a little long hating the feeling of being so gross, she felt she was nothing but a giant snot bucket with all the snot that was coming out of her nose, dripping into her throat and eventually being hacked up when she coughed, but she was grateful that she felt like she had turned the corner of this cold. When she was finally tired of being in bed she got up and put on her slippers and pulled on her dark maroon bed robe to keep herself warm, when she was ready to leave the room she felt like she was in for far too long she left and went to see who all was around. She entered the common area and saw that it was around ten thirty or there abouts, which for her it was late to get up at that time, but it was understood since she was sick,

"Morning Natasha, how are you feeling?" Pepper asked her curiously hoping to hear some good news from the spy,

"I still feel gross, but at least I don't feel quite so bad. Thank you for last night, for checking up on me." Natasha answered and thanked her gently. Smiled back at the woman,

"Anytime, are you hungry? I think theres still some pancakes and bacon left. You know how the boys are." Pepper said as she got up from the couch and put down the Stark pad she was working on, Pepper was always busy running Tony's company, it was like having two full time jobs and then some,

"Just one pancake and a couple strips of bacon sounds good." Natasha answered, though if she was truthful none of it sounded any good but she knew she had to eat to keep her strength up if she was going to get any better. Pepper smiled because she knew what Natasha was trying to do, at least to her she was feeling better and hopefully soon she'll be over this cold. Pepper went over to the kitchen and started to fix Natasha a plate as she went to sit down on the couch and wrapped a blanket around her legs,

"Anything good on?" Natasha asked curiously?

"What? Oh, I don't know I'm not paying attention." Pepper answered, Natasha expected this and knowing she wasn't really caring about what was on because she was working hard from the tower Natasha took the remote and started to surf the channels to find something good. By the time Pepper returned with a small plate of food for Natasha she had already decided that there was nothing on to see, daytime tv sucked,

"Here you go." Pepper said as she handed her the plate of food with a napkin and then placed a glass of orange juice on the table next to her,

"Don't push yourself just eat what you can ok." Pepper said lightly with a smile before she sat down where she was previously and started working on the Stark pad again getting more work done. Natasha ate slowly from the plate but eventually she did finish it all, it was only up from here in terms of this cold. Whens he was finished eating and put the plate aside she continued to channel surf, it was incredible all of these channels and absolutely nothing on, how was this possible? Eventually she gave up channel surfing and put the remote down with a bit of a huff, what was she going to do, she wasn't well enough to go training, everyone seemed to be busy. Then her thoughts from earlier that morning came to mind. Thankfully Tony kept the main areas such as the common rooms, the kitchen, essentially everywhere stocked with Stark pads for everyone's use, Natasha reached to the side of the couch and found one there. She logged into her own directory and started a word document and started to write down her dream, started to tell a story that she wanted to tell.

A/N : So sorry it took me so long to get another chapter out, so it looks like the Grimm fan fic idea I have is going to have to be shelved for a bit because I really don't have a good idea for a storyline other than a vague idea so I guess I'll just let it age and mature a bit lol. Anyway I hope you liked this chapter I know it was a long time in the making. As always please read a review, your comments and good wishes push me to keep this up so thank you everyone! :)
