Sorry it took so long to update I have no internet. I had to borrow from a friend of mine to write this.
Reid looked at Leah's birth certificate. Of course the man who knocked Scarlette up happened to have one of the most common names in America. He searched the areas surrounding the hospital where she had Scarlette and found several hundred Mason Williams. It was 2am but he needed Penelope. "Hey Penelope, I know its 2am but I got Leah's birth certificate late last night. Is it too late to help me find him?" Of course Penelope was already up waiting for his call. "Reid what the hell took you so long? What's his name?" "Mason Williams." "Time Frame?" "5 years ago to present." "Age?" "23-30" "Any idea where he lives?" "Start with Allen Kentucky. That is the hospital Scarlette was born at. Then if you can't find anyone with a connection to Scarlette start spanning outward." "The only one I can find is a 24 year old Mason Williams. He lived in the same apartment building that Scarlette told you about. He was 20 then." "Thank you Garcia. We'll go after him in the morning.
3 days and 7 hours later they were no closer to finding Mason Williams than when they first started. It was obvious to them he didn't stay long in Allen after Scarlette left. Using his credit card they were able to track him to DC within the last 6 months, but he could be anywhere. Scarlette was as useless as ever. She was catatonic and unresponsive. Reid could not imagine why someone as average as Mason Williams was hiding from the FBI as well as he was. Then it hit him. He was average and when an average person is on the run they go home. He pulled out his cell phone. "Penelope. Where did Mason grow up?" "Mason spent most of his childhood in a Foster Home here in DC. Just down the street from the courthouse actually." Penelope replied. "Ok send the address to the rest of the team I am heading there now." Reid ran out the door to his car. Maybe if he could bring Leah home it would pull Scarlette out of whatever hole she fell into. He at the house in 5 minutes with the rest of the team on his tale. It was a white house with blue trim and a blue door. It was Queen Anne style house with a small front yard. He walked up the steps to the wrap around porch and knocked on the big blue door. A small elderly woman opened the door. "I am doctor Spencer Reid and I am with the FBI.I am looking for Mason Williams." The woman sneered. "I haven't seen Mason Williams since he was 18." "Thats his car in the driveway isn't it?" Of course it was was Reid recognized it from the picture. He waited for the woman to answer. "He came the other day with nothing on his back asking for a place to stay. As his foster parent I could never say no. A week later he shows up with this kid. I little girl I would guess 5 or 6. When I asked who it was was he said it was his daughter. The next day him and the little girl were gone." "Did he tell you where he was going to go?" "I already told you he just left." "He didn't say anything?" "Well he mentioned a friend in Iowa but he didn't mention going there." "Ok we'll look into it." He turned around and walked out of the house. He turned to Hotch. "He's coming back here. She's lying to us. There is no way that she would tell us so much about him if she loved him as much as she said she did. It did not take much prodding at all. Not to mention you find a safe place to keep Leah you don't give it up." Hotch nodded and called the judge asking for a warrant to search the house. Within a half an hour the police were combing the house looking for Leah. Reid searched until the only room they had left was the attic. Reid reached the attic door and waited. He heard movement inside. He motioned to the other officers that he thought Mason was in there. He opened the door to the attic and saw Mason Williams holding Leah. "Put her down man." Morgan said. "You're surrounded." "No she is my daughter. That whore didn't deserve her." Mason yelled. "It took my four long years to find her after she left that note and left." "So you kidnap her? Man you and I both know that is messed up." Mason dropped her to the floor none too kindly. She started bawling and ran to Reid. Reid picked her up and turned toward the door. All of a sudden a gunshot rang out and Reid dropped to the f
