Yuzuki laid across her bed and held her Piercing Rose bracelet high up. The silver gleamed from the moonlight that shone through the window. One of her fingers glowed a soft purple and Yuzuki placed that finger at the arrow. The arrow bracelet began to shine gently and uncurl. The bracelet was now completely straight and had extended to be in the exact size of an actual arrow.

A small smile graced Yuzuki's lips. She concentrated on pushing more of her power into the arrow. The arrow's shine shone even more brilliantly. The arrow began to transform itself. The length grew longer and the thinness of the arrow grew thicker. More rose and vine patterns popped up along the way.

Knock! Knock!

Yuzuki's concentration broke. The shine coming from the arrow disappeared and the arrow had turned itself back into a bracelet. Piercing Rose fell down from her frozen hands and landed next to her head. Yuzuki blinked. She sat up from her bed and stretched her arms.

She went to the door and opened it. Yuzuki's eyes brightened. "Onii-sama!"

Kaname softly smiled. "Good evening, Yuzuki!"

Yuzuki smiled and grabbed Kaname's hands. "Please come in!"

Yuzuki pulled Kaname into her room and towards the couch. Yuzuki sat down at one end and looked up at Kaname, waiting for him to sit down also. When he did, Yuzuki turned her body to face him.

Yuzuki asked, "Is there anything you need, Kaname-onii-sama?"

He unconsciously put his hand in his coat pocket, feeling a crisp letter in his hand. When it was in his grasp, Kaname automatically crushed it together. Kaname stared at Yuzuki's curious face. "No, I do not need anything. I just wanted to spend time with you."

Yuzuki's eyes filled with warmth and love. Her bright smile turned into a small, but a very happy smile. Yuzuki leaned against Kaname and hugged him. Kaname, in return, placed his arms around her. Yuzuki fell asleep in his arms only a few moments later. The content expression on Kaname's face turned grim. I can only wish that he would not be making any moves anytime soon, he thought.

Yuzuki fast walked down the stairs to the lobby of the Moon Dorms. There she saw Hanabusa and Akatsuki opening the front door. She walked up to them and asked, "Where are you guys going?"

Hanabusa sighed and ruffled his hair lazily. "Kaname-sama ordered us to exterminate a Level E in town today. It's so early in the morning!"

Yuzuki giggled softly. Akatsuki turned to her. "Why are you up this early Yuzuki-sama?"

Hanabusa nodded, also curious. Yuzuki blushed and looked down. The night Kaname came to her room just to spend the time with her has been lingering in her mind for the past few days. She couldn't get a lot of sleep with the memory clear in her head.

"Umm, I can not tell you."

Hanabusa and Akatsuki shrugged it off. Yuzuki looked back up again. "Can I go with you?"

The two cousins blinked. They looked at each other, unsure. Hanabusa slowly said, "I'm not sure if Kaname-sama would allow you to come with us. What would happen if you got yourself injured?"

"Then we'll be in big trouble with the Dorm president," Akatsuki commented.

Yuzuki clapped her hands together, placing her hands against her lips and chin. "Please? I will not tell anyone? I promise I will be careful!"

Akatsuki and Hanabusa still looked unsure. Yuzuki continued speaking, "I do not usually get to go to town without having to work. Please?"

They looked at her. Yuzuki's eyes were sparkling and her face was innocent. They had no choice, but to grant her request. They sighed and nodded.

Her eyes sparkled even more with glee. Yuzuki grabbed their hands and pulled them out of the door. Akatsuki managed to close the door on their way out.

When they were in town, Yuzuki hopped from shop to shop, looking at the merchandises through the window. In one little jewelry store, the store showcased a white gold ring with tiny different colored diamonds scattered on one side of the ring. The ring was elegant with the use of white gold, yet it looked a little childish because of the colorful diamonds randomly spread across the top. A little card stood next to the piece of jewelry and it contained the inscription on the inside of the ring. It said, "You are the reason I smile."

Yuzuki blushed slightly at the cheesy, but romantic line. Her imagination pictured Kaname saying the phrase to her as he presented her the ring and her flushed face turned cherry red. A small scream that her acute hearing snapped her out of her daydream.

She began running towards the scream, along with Hanabusa and Akatsuki, who also heard it. The moment she turned a corner to an alley way, Yuzuki snapped off her bracelet and forced her energy into it. The bracelet uncurled quickly and snapped into an arrow. She forced even more energy and the arrow grew bigger and thicker until it became a bow.

The bow was thinner than usual bows. It was made of silver and had carvings of roses and rose vines running down both sides. The string was also made of silver and seemed impossible to strung. Aido and Akatsuki looked surprised. They had never seen her use her powers at all. Not once had they seen her eyes flash red indicating that she is using her powers.

They shook themselves of the thought and surprise and continued their way down the alley. They made one turn at an intersection and skidded to a stop. The were met with a Level E cornering a woman at the end of the alley. Yuzuki's reaction was immediate, reacting before even Akatsuki and Hanabusa could lift a finger.

She immediately got into a stance by turning her body sideways without moving her eyes away from the Level E. Her feet were wide apart as her shoulders. The silver bow and arrows that were already in her hands were lifted up so that the wrist holding the arrow was right below her chin and her arms were almost in line with her shoulders.

Yuzuki's eyes were calm and cool when her fingers released the arrow. The rose-engraved arrow left trails of lavender and red shimmers behind as it went flying right at the Level E's heart from his back. Hanabusa felt the force of her arrow as it pushed him back as the arrow pierced through the Level E. It was as if there was a strong wind forcing him back. Akatsuki felt the same, but had his eyes on Yuzuki. There wasn't any hesitancy in her stance and when she released the arrow. She was very confident and it didn't seem like her usual go-happy self.

The Level E perished into dust barely a second after the arrow connected with him. The woman the low level vampire preyed on had her eyes wide open and body shivering from fright before passing out.

Yuzuki relaxed her stance and her bow and arrow burst into a shower of colorful glimmers. All of the glimmers raced towards her right wrist where they merged back into her bracelet, Piercing Rose. Hanabusa stared in awe of the beauty of her vampire power. Even though it is used as a weapon, the elegance and exquisiteness of her ability was nothing like he had ever seen.

Hanabusa was broken of his trance when his cousin and his Pureblood princess started running towards the woman. He followed right after them. Yuzuki dropped on her knees beside the woman and cradled the woman's head in her lap. The two cousins kneeled by her as Yuzuki placed a hand on the woman's head to erase her memories.

After erasing her memory, Yuzuki raised one of her hands towards her face. The two curiously watched her, not knowing what she was doing. As her fingers got near her face, her lips parted open and the cousins' eyes widened. Yuzuki bit down on her index finger, drawing a little bit of blood. Hanabusa and Akatsuki could smell her mouth-watering blood. It was the smell of full-bloom carnations and ambrosia. It was like a fruit salad with hints of coconut and flowers. She used her other hand open the woman's mouth and lowered her finger right above her mouth. A single drop of blood fell into the woman's mouth and the cuts and bruises on her began to disappear.

Yuzuki pulled out a handkerchief from her blouse and pressed her finger into it. She stood up and asked, "Could one of you carry her?"

Akatsuki picked up the woman in his arms and Hanabusa just stood up after her him. They quietly walked out of the alley and, thankfully, there wasn't anyone around. Akatsuki placed the woman sitting on a bench in the nearby park and they quickly left.

Yuzuki tossed her handkerchief into a garbage can, only it didn't go all the way in. A part of the handkerchief was sticking out from the top, only revealing a sliver of the red blood.

Only a couple of seconds after they left the park, a person descended from the shadows and walked to where they last were. The person only gave a glance at the unconscious woman at the victim before resting his eyes on his original target. A smile graced the person's lips as they grabbed the handkerchief hanging out from the garbage can. Their smile grew into a smirk as their nose was filled with the pure and refreshingly sweet scent of Yuzuki's blood.

Yuzuki sprawled over the comforts of her bed. She clenched the misty rose-colored sheets as she remembered the ominous figure of the Level E she encountered earlier in the afternoon. She had maintained a cool expression when she attacked, but she was feeling terrified inside. Yuzuki let out a shaky breath. Her fists shivered. It was the first time she killed a Level E by herself. The other times she encountered a Level E, Senri or Rima or even the Shiki household servants killed them.

Maybe a bath will calm me down, Yuzuki thought.

She steadily got up from her bed and walked into the bathroom. She quickly undressed and slipped on a light cyan-colored, silk robe. Yuzuki sat on the edge of the bathtub and turned on the faucet. When the water reached almost halfway of the bathtub, she squeezed out a generous amount of peach and rose scented bubble bath. Bubbles began to form in the running water. When the bubbles and water reached up to near the edge of the bathtub, Yuzuki turned the faucet off and tied her long hair into a messy bun atop her head. She placed her robe on the towel hanger and slid in the bubble bath.

Yuzuki sighed in content as the sweet scent and the warm water enveloped her body. After soaking in the bubble until the water turned cold, Yuzuki got out of the bathtub and dabbed her body with a cotton towel. She slipped into her robe again and strolled back into her room. She opened the door to her closet and picked out a pink nightgown, which she put on. Yuzuki pulled out her hair tie holding her hair bun and let her slightly damp hair cascade down her back.

She walked into the first room of her dorm and towards the couch, which was filled with a few of her many, many stuffed animals. She placed some aside and lounged across the couch and on the stuffed animals. Yuzuki grabbed the book from the low coffee table, which she had been reading for the last couple of days, and continued reading it.

After finishing the couple of chapters of the book, her eyes began to droop. Yuzuki placed the book back onto the coffee table and snuggled with a large white teddy bear. She silently fell into a comfortable sleep.

A while later, Kaname knocked gently on her door. When she didn't answer, Kaname quietly opened her door, discovering that she was peacefully asleep on top of her stuffed animals. He brushed off a couple of her toys and sat beside her head. He brushed her hair with his fingers, admiring her silk-like hair.

He brought his lips to her temple and whispered, "I wish I could let you go, but I am simply this selfish."
