Yamato instantly dialled his younger brothers mobile number.

*Ring ring* 'God I hope Kari hasn't said anything to him already' *ring ring* 'he'd never forgive me if I don't tell him first' *ring ring* 'I hope he doesn't freak out on me' *ring ring* 'I'm being silly this is TK, he loves me no matter what' *ring ring* "for the love of GOD TK will you answer your damn.."

"Nice to hear from you too, Oniichan" TK interrupted his older brother.

"Seriously Teeks what took you so long" Yamato said exasperated.

"I was about to go meet Hikari for a late breakfast, is everything ok Oniichan? You don't sound yourself?" TK asked his older brother.

"I'm ok, I just need to tell you something.. It's quite important" Yamato admitted.

"I'm all ears" TK replied.

"I'm .. dating someone.." Yamato started.

".. It's Tai isn't it?" TK responded.

"Wha..? Wait a minute.. Did Dad speak to you?" Yamato stuttered.

"Dad knows?! How did he take it!" TK asked, surprised.

"Ha-Hang on! If Dad didn't tell you, then how do you know!" Yamato demanded.

"Lucky guess.. I figured you wouldn't have called me if you was dating some random girl, and to be honest Oniichan, me and Kari have had this assumption for the past year, you two are joined at the hip, neither of you have dated anyone seriously, and let's not forget all the making out you guys have a habit of doing at Sora's parties" TK concluded.

"Oh.. Well, this was a lot quicker and easier than I thought it would be, so.. You're ok with this?" Yamato questioned.

"Of course, you're my brother.. I love you no matter what" TK answered simply.

"Thanks Teeks, I love you too" Yamato smiled.

After their conversation ended, Yamato decided to get himself ready and head to his band rehearsal. It was a big night for them, a scout was out tonight looking for new talent, it was their chance to impress and hopefully land themselves a music contract. They were famous locally, but if they played their cards right, they could be famous worldwide.

As Yamato was driving to rehearsal he called Tai on his Bluetooth.

"Hey you" Tai's voice travelled through the car.

"Hey, just thought I'd call and say good luck for training today, not that you need it" Yamato replied.

"Thanks Yama, getting kinda nervous about the match tomorrow" Tai chuckled nervously.

"You'll smash it, you always do! That scholarship is in the bag Tai, I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines" Yamato smiled.

"Fingers crossed, I'll just be relieved when it's all over! Then we have all summer to kick back and chill" Tai answered. "Let's not forget you though.. Your big shot is tonight, how you feeling?".

"I'm ok.. I can't let nerves get to me or it'll affect my performance, I'm just gonna act like it's any other gig" Yamato replied.

"You'll smash it, you always do" Tai copied.

Yamato blushed faintly, a small smile etched on his features.

".. I can't wait until tonight, I can't wait to take you back to mine afterwards" Tai whispered huskily.

Yamato could feel the heat rush straight between his legs in anticipation.

Swallowing a lump that had formed in his throat Yamato responded "me either..".

"Hey.. Are you ok? You don't sound as confident anymore.. You know if you want to wait I'm cool with that right" Tai asked concerned.

"No no! I'm fine honestly Tai, just.. You know, now we know where we're headed, I'm just feeling a bit nervous.. That's all" Yamato admitted. "It doesn't mean I don't want to though, I really do want to.. With you" Yamato stuttered.

"Don't worry yourself Yama, you know I'll never hurt you.. Let's not put pressure on anything, what happens, happens.. And if it doesn't happen, that's ok!" Tai reassured.

"Ok" Yamato affirmed.

"Good, well now we've sorted that I'd best get to training, have a good rehearsal gorgeous" Tai smiled.

"Thanks Tai, I'll see you tonight".

Once Yamato had arrived at his band practice he decided he wouldn't tell them about his personal life, he'd wait and see where tonight took them first.

About an hour into rehearsal they decided to take a break, Yamato noticed his mobile was buzzing. He saw Tai's name written across the screen, along with an unseen message and fourteen missed calls. Panicked, Yamato quickly answered his phone.

"Tai! Tai is everything ok?" Yamato asked urgently.

"It's Dai! There's been an accident. He's being rushed to hospital I'm with him in the ambulance and Ken is making his way there. I-I really need you.. F-for support.." Tai stuttered the last part of the sentence, clearly upset.

"I'm there, I'm leaving now ok. Just keep it together alright for Daisuke's sake" Yamato reassured.

After apologising to his understanding band mates and reassuring them he'd still turn up for the show tonight, Yamato jumped back into his car and rushed to the hospital.
