Neal and I enjoyed our lunch and I saw him thinking. "Bad day at the bureau" I asked, taking a sip of wine. "Kind of; I felt like everyone was keeping a secret" he replied, taking the last bite of food off of his plate. "Would some time away from New York help" I asked. "Yeah; if I could leave" he answered. "That has already been arranged" I replied, showing him the copy of Peter's letter of permission. He read over it and grinned as he asked "When do we leave for Virginia?"

"Tomorrow and you can see where I've worked and the people in my life including my best friend and my sister. I guess you wouldn't mind sharing my old room with me in my sister's apartment" I asked. "Of course I don't mind and I'll try to behave" he answered, that sly smirk of his forming. Just then; there was a knock at the door. "I'll get it" I offered, getting up. I walked to the door and opened it to find Elizabeth Burke.

"Hi Elizabeth; how can I help you" I asked. "Peter asked if I would bring this to you since this was on my way to a client's office" she replied and then she noticed our table and blushed. "I hope I didn't interrupt anything special" she added with a smile. "You didn't and thank you" I replied, taking the manila envelope. "No problem and Neal; Peter also wanted me to remind you that you owe us tonight so could you walk Satchmo" she asked, getting ready to leave.

"Sure thing El" Neal replied, coming up behind me. When Elizabeth had gone and I had closed the door; Neal asked "When were you going to tell me?" "Actually; I was about to tell you before Elizabeth arrived. How would you feel about taking me as a roommate" I asked. He hugged me with that million mega watt smile forming and replied "I would like that very much." "Good and when we're not working; I will show you some of the best places and perhaps; some of the night life" he told me.

I giggled and we walked back on to the balcony and I asked "Shall we clean up and store the leftovers?" "Let's do that and I'll start putting an overnight bag together" Neal replied. "Sounds like a winning idea" I replied. With that; we put the leftovers in the fridge, properly stored our still half full wine bottle, and got the dishes in the dishwasher.

When the dishwasher was going; Neal and I went to put his travel bag together. I made sure he put some casual clothes in as there would be a lot of packing going on and something special in case we went out. He zipped up his overnight and set it by mine as he asked "Would you like to join me for that walk with Satchmo?" "How is Satchmo with strangers" I asked, taking off the denim jacket I had been wearing. "He'll love you Ana. He's smart and knows when to attack" Neal answered. "Alright" I said as he stole a kiss.

Right then; we heard the door open. "Who else has access to your room" I asked. "Other than you and June; my friend, Mozzie" he answered, looking out the window of the closet and added "Relax; it's Mozzie." "I still would love to know what I did to make him hate me when I haven't really done a thing" I told him. "He doesn't like the fact that I'm truly trying to leave being a con artist behind me and settle down by working for Peter and the fact that you're, as he calls any federal agent, a 'suit'. Let's put it this way. He thinks I've pretty much sold my soul to them" he answered.

We watched through the secret window until Mozzie left, taking a bottle of wine with him. "Does he do that often" I asked. "What; steal a bottle of wine? Yes; he does that often which explains why some of the wines go missing" he answered as we came out of the closet and started looking around to make sure nothing was missing. I finally spotted a jewelry case on the table and I slowly approached it. "Neal; jewelry case on the table" I said, still hesitant to approach it.

Carefully; we examined it to make sure there were no surprises and then we opened it to reveal a necklace. I realized that this was my best friend, Luna's family necklace. It had been stolen and I remember seeing the case file about it. "Neal; I know this necklace. It belongs to my best friend, Luna. This was stolen from her family when she was a baby. She was supposed to receive it on her 18th birthday. Her family was devastated when they found this missing" I told him. "Victorian style with emeralds but this one is a complete fake" Neal told me. "What? Why would he leave a fake" I asked as he showed me the difference. "He plans to finally sell the necklace. With how long he has held on to it; he can ask for more" Neal answered.

"Can we get it back? I know it would make Luna the happiest" I asked. "Check your packet and there should be a key to my tracker. I'll get the necklace" Neal answered. I opened the envelope and found the key. "By the way; you're getting a better tracker for when we go to Virginia. It's better than the ankle tracker for travel and an expanded radius with a more accurate map of location. That's why those people were here" I told him, unlocking the tracker from his ankle. "Can I see it when I get back" he asked. "Sure and what do I do about your current tracker if Peter asks anything" I asked. "Tell him I'm in the shower or something. You're smart and I know you'll think of something" Neal answered, grabbing his trademark fedora and tucking the case with the fake necklace in his jacket pocket. "Be careful" I pleaded. "I will" he answered, pulling me close and surprising me with a kiss. He let me go and then left. I really hoped that he would be successful as I watched until he was out of sight. Now all I could do was wait until he returned.
