A/N: Hey, so, new chapter! Sorry for not postin on this story for a while. I was kinda at a stand-still on it for a bit. Then, I got an idea! :) Enjoy :) Btw, I found out the name of the song that inspired this fic. It's called "Blown Away" and it's a good song, IMO. SPOILER ALERT, KINDA! I dedicate this to Kevin Freakin' Solo, aka Kevin Tran, because he didn't deserve what happened, and he will (hopefully) be back soon! :) And now, the very long overdue update to this very sad, very angst-y fic!
When they woke up the next morning, they heard something. It sounded like two people arguing quietly. It scared them a little, until they realized that neither of the voices sounded anything like the killer. Which meant they were either getting saved or getting killed, and wasn't that thought reassuring?
Then, they heard a doorbell ring. They heard a door open, and some talking. Next thing they knew, they heard a very loud thump. By this time, they were all backing up towards the wall, Dean and Gabriel in front of Sam and Cas. Then, the locked door to the room they were in was unlocked and opened.
There stood a blonde-haired man and an Asian black-haired guy. Immediately, Gabriel jumped up, ran over to them, and hugged the blonde one.
"Balthy!" Gabriel said excitedly as the blonde guy hugged him back.
"Hello Gabriel." The guy said, with a foreign accent that might've been French.
"Who the hell are you?!" Dean demanded angrily.
"Oh, forgive me, I've forgotten my manners. I'm Balthazar, Gabriel's older brother, and this is my fiancee Kevin. Who are you?" He replied.
"No way in hell you're Gabriel's brother." Dean stated.
"And why would you think so?"
"Because Cas obviously doesn't know you, and he's Gabriel's brother." Dean said smugly.
"Last I checked, I was Gabriel's only brother." Balthazar said, looking a little confused.
"Balthy, Cassy was born a few months after you left." Gabriel explained, putting extra emphasis on 'left'.
"Oh. Well, nice to meet you, brother." Balthazar extended a hand, but Castiel only backed further towards the wall. Balthazar looked at him questioningly.
"And who are you two?" Balthazar asked Sam and Dean.
"I'm Dean, and this is my little brother Sammy- I mean Sam." Dean corrected when Sam loudly cleared his throat.
"Ok, so now that we're all acquainted, can we get out of here? I knocked out that kidnapper and called the cops. The cops and I are not exactly on the best terms." Balthazar said.
Once they had gotten about 2 miles from the house, Balthazar led them into a small but cozy apartment.
"Why?" Gabriel asked quietly, the hurt clear in his tone.
"Oh, come on, the apartment's not that bad." Balthazar joked.
"You know what I mean. Balthazar, why did you leave?"
"I couldn't take the abuse anymore, ok? I asked you if you wanted to come with me, but you insisted on 'staying for the new baby'. Besides, daddy dearest took everything out on me, Gabriel. There was no reason to stay, because he never hit you." Balthazar said, and Kevin kissed him sweetly on the cheek.
"Maybe your dad never used to hit him, but he sure as hell has, and he would be now if he wasn't dead." Dean said, and Sam nodded.
"Oh, he's dead now? What finally did him in?" Balthazar asked.
"It was me. I stabbed him in the heart." Gabriel replied in an emotionless tone.
"Gabriel, it wasn't your fault. It was mine. I'm the reason you did it." Castiel said sadly, before running out of the room.
"What did dear old dad do to make you kill him? Did he hit Cassy?" Balthazar questioned.
Gabriel had already left the room to go find Castiel, so Dean answered for him instead, "No, the sick bastard that you left them with fucking raped him!", before running out to find Castiel.
Balthazar couldn't recall a time when he'd felt like more of an ass than he did right now. "I feel like an asshole." He said to Kevin.
"You are not an asshole. You are wonderful, you just didn't know. We will make it through this, it's just gonna take some time. But I promise you, we will, all of us, together." Kevin told him.
Balthazar leaned in and kissed him passionately, before leaning over and whispering quietly in his ear, "Thanks. I needed that." and something else, something that made Kevin turn a shade of red known as tomato. "Now, let's go get him."
Meanwhile, across town, a man stood in old house, looking down at his dead friend and swearing revenge against 4 children.
