You can't keep avoiding me for much longer. -RBB

Yeah, Quinn knew that she couldn't keep up the hide and seek act with Rachel. Not only was it tiring, but in an odd way, she kind of missed the girl. Though, the embarrassment of her miserably failed plan still made her avoid the brunette as much as she possibly could. Quinn had really thought that her plan would work. Not only did she underestimate Rachel's level of persistence, but Rachel underestimated just how far Quinn would go to get the her off her back.

It was to the point now where Quinn was actually considering just having sex with Rachel. She was young, this was the time to experiment and live life, so, really, why not? Even though Quinn had never been with another girl, she was the relationship type. She knew that from her experience with dating boys. She'd been in a long relationship with Finn and a good amount of time with Sam. She slept with Puck, and that did nothing for her, and that didn't all have to do with that fact that she was gay.

Sleeping with a person and not being in a relationship with just them felt wrong. She wanted a girl that only wanted her. Who would love her, despite her flaws. Who wouldn't give up on her just because she would make a few mistakes. And she wanted someone to love, but of course, who doesn't? The only problem was, she had no idea how to go about dating a girl. Hell, she really didn't even know what kind of girls she liked, not having the right environment at McKinley to find out.

And now at Dalton, it was the perfect place, if she wasn't always catching up on homework and trying to avoid Rachel Berry. When hanging with the group of girls, she'd catch herself asking herself about each one if they could possibly be her type. Tina was a bit of a push-over, Santana was a bit spicy for her tastes, Sugar was a little too honest, Mercedes was too much of a diva, and Rachel...was Rachel. Quinn noticed that she thought that quite a bit, but it was really hard to describe the girl.

Friday morning, Quinn had had enough of avoiding Rachel, deciding to finally face her and get it over with. She joined the girls in the cafeteria for breakfast, who were talking about what they wanted to do that weekend, which was pretty much always the exact same thing. Quinn wondered how they heck they never got bored with the same old thing, but then she realized that she'd been doing the same when she was at McKinley to keep up her appearance and status.

"Who's down for The Bird Cage tonight?" Rachel asked as she plopped down on the cafeteria bench next to Tina.

"All of us except Quinn, as usual." Mercedes replied.

"C-c-c-come on, Quinn, it's fun."

Quinn looked up from her food and shrugged. "I don't think so..."

Santana scoffed. "Bitch, you're comin' with us, whether you like it or not."

"Yeah, girl, you haven't been out with us on a weekend at all this year. Let loose and have some fun."

She shifted her gaze back down to the scrambled eggs she was picking at. "I'm not really a bar scene kind of girl."

"That's just an excuse." Santana waved off. "Besides, it's not like they serve us alcohol, we're underage. And it's dancing...it's fun. Who knows, you might meet your future girlfriend there."

"Doubtful." Rachel interjected. "Maybe next sexual encounter, though." She looked over at Quinn for the first time and pumped her eyebrow up and down.

"Just give it up, Rach, Quinn's never gonna do you." Mercedes said, exasperated.

"Never say never." She almost sang as she hopped up, winked at Quinn, and walked towards the exit.

Quinn couldn't help but notice the deliberate sway in her hips, showing off her backside. Even as infuriating as Rachel was, she had to admit that the girl was quite attractive. And a good kisser, she thought, thinking back to that particular day. She shook her head, taking her out of that though. But how could you not be after making out with so many one night stands. The longer you do something, the better at it you become. Quinn should know, she hid her true self for so long.

"Since we all are coming tonight, we should be extra glam-tastic." Mercedes smiled.

"Guys, really, I don't think I'm cut out for dancing with strangers..." Quinn said, trying to get herself out of it.

Santana turned to her and gave her the best bitch face she'd ever seen. "I don't give a shit if you hug the wall all night, you're coming."

That night, Santana had followed through with her threat. Knocking on Quinn's door, waiting for her to answer. When it opened, she didn't wait for a reply before she stepped forward and grabbed Quinn, not so gently throwing her over her shoulder and headed to Mercedes and Sugar's room. All the while to the elevator, after Quinn had realized what was happening, started hitting Santana anywhere that she could reach, which wasn't many places, but still, she tried.

"Put. Me. Down." Quinn groaned. "Your ass is in my face, Satan!"

"Enjoy it while you can, Blondie. Not everyone gets the privilege of being this close."

To make things worse, they shared an elevator with a very confused-looking girl, which mortified Quinn. Santana could only laugh when she finally put Quinn down on Mercedes' bed after they entered the room.

"I wrangled her, now you two work your magic."

For the next hour, Mercedes picked out some clothes for Quinn to wear while Sugar did her hair, putting it in rolls, so when it was let down, it was wavy instead of the straight do she'd been sporting since she'd gotten it cut. By the time they were finished with her, she had to admit that she looked hot, but she still wasn't sure about the actual going to the bar part. It was just down the street, so if anything happened, it's not like she was stranded or anything, and that eased her mind a little.

After they were all dressed, Santana did everyone's make up. Quinn only agreed to some black eyeliner and a slight brush of blush with some pink lip gloss. Sugar was decked out in a hot pink dress that looked a size or two too small, with matching pumps. Tina was a tad more conservative, wearing a black skin-tight shirt and a blue skirt that only went to just above her knees, and her black Converse. Mercedes with with a blood red top with a black skirt and red lipstick.

Santana wore red also, in the form of a one sleeve dress that came up to her mid-thigh, red pumps and red lipstick that made her look...damn good. Quinn thought Santana was definitely hot, and if it weren't for her personality, she'd totally want her. Lastly, Quinn had been dressed in a sleek black top and a short leopard print skirt, and black heels. Her best features were shown off. Her golden hair and tan, muscular legs that Santana assured would make the girls "all hot and bothered" at the bar.

"Where's Rachel, by the way?" Quinn asked out of curiosity.

"She doesn't take the time to dress up like we do, so she's already at The Bird Cage." Mercedes answered as she too a final look at herself in the mirror. "Okay, girls, ready?"

Quinn was as ready as she'd ever be.

The walk to the bar proved more difficult than she'd anticipated. She hadn't been in heels in forever, couple that with the fact that she was never really good at walking in them anyway. By the third time she'd almost tripped, she just decided to take Tina's offer and hold onto her shoulder the way there. Quinn was thankful, because there was a bit of a rough patch in the road crossing, and if it hadn't been for holding onto Tina, she no doubt, would have face-planted in the middle of the road.

When they all stepped into The Bird Cage, the place looked so different than it did during the day. The simple bar and grille turned into a hopping night club, complete with smoke machine and laser lights that nearly blinded Quinn. Upbeat dance music with no vocals was blasting through the speakers, and everyone was either at the bar ordering drinks, dancing their asses off on the dance floor, or sitting down at the tables watching the others dances their asses off.

To Quinn's surprise, about seventy-five percent of the people in the bar were from Dalton, but the other twenty-five percent were guys from the nearby community college, who looked about five years older than all the girls. Most of them were on the dance floor, rubbing up against the high schoolers. Quinn cringed at the sight as she followed behind Santana, who was leading them to their usual booth where they'd eat lunch on Saturdays. She had a feeling it was going to be a long night.

Almost immediately, Santana left the group to dance with a tall blonde in the corner. Quinn couldn't help but be jealous, she wished she was as confident as the Latina was. The next to leave the table was Sugar. She'd spotted a semi-hot guy over by the stage and strutted over to him without hesitation. And a few minutes later, Mercedes spotted the guy she'd been seeing for a few weeks now, a tall blonde who actually looked their age, and went over to him and started dancing.

"Why d-d-don't you ask someone to dance?" Tina asked.

"I'm not as brave as the girls are..."

It was then somethings, or, rather someone, caught her eye. It was Rachel, grinding up against the backside of a short brunette. Mercedes was right, Rachel didn't look like she spent more than a minute on her outfit choice, wearing a simple blue button-down shirt with a black tie wrapped loosely around her neck. And her regular weekend blue jeans and sneakers. I guess being as attractive as Rachel was, she didn't have to dress to impress, but Quinn thought she looked good.

Something stirred in Quinn that made her quickly look away from the scene. Her jaw was clenched and her hands were gripping the edges of the table she sat at. Oh no, she thought. This feeling, she knew all too well. Jealousy. But this was not the time, nor person to make her feel that way. It was Rachel for God sakes. She was a player who only wanted Quinn for sex. Another notch on her headboard. But still, maybe it was because she had missed her a little in her avoidance attempt.

Or maybe it could just be because she wished she could get a girl so easily, like Rachel seemed to. Maybe a bit of both. Or just one, if Quinn was truly honest with herself. Shockingly enough, her jealousy fueled what happened next. Sliding out of the booth, she turned and grabbed Tina's hand, practically dragging her onto the dance floor. Tina was just happy that Quinn had decided to loosen up a bit, even if she hadn't asked, rather silently ordered her. And she had to admit, it was kind of hot.

The girls danced to the thump of the beat that radiated throughout the bar. Time seemed to stand still as bodies grinded, lights flashed, and the music molded into different songs. Quinn danced with Tina, that was, until some guy squeezed between them and grabbed Quinn's waist, pulling her toward him. She didn't panic though, this definitely wasn't the first time in her life that this had happened. Back at McKinely, it was just a part of what went on at one of Puck's parties.

Though when she looked behind him for Tina, she had already turned around and was dancing with a tall Asian boy. No one to really save her, so she went with it, even if it was a bit uncomfortable with him pushing his body into hers. She'd only met eye contact with him after he leaned in and asked her if he could buy her a drink. She was thirsty after dancing, and she knew it would give her some 'liquid confidence', so she accepted. And just to be safe, she watched him order it and everything.

The guy looked at her with wide eyes after she gulped down half her drink in just a few seconds, but that soon turned into a smile and ordered her another. Little did the blonde know, Rachel was keeping a close eye on her. She was still grinding with the brunette, but ever since the blonde had hit the dance floor, it was hard to take her eyes off of her. She was the sexiest thing Rachel had ever seen, and had gotten hard at the sight of her. Poor girl that she was dancing with thought it was because of her.

"You sure know how to put 'em away!" The guy said over the music, referring to Quinn's fast drinking.

"Thanks!" Is all she replied before finishing off her second drink.

He pulled her back into the crowd of dancers after that, holding her tightly to him, leaving no space between them. She could feel that he was getting hard with the movements, but the alcohol was starting to affect her, and her inhibitions were lowering, so she just went with it. Leaning into him, resting her head on his shoulder and grasping at his shirt to stabilize herself. Soon, she was beginning to sweat. Who turned up the damn heat? Then things got a bit dizzy, so she pulled away from him.

"What's the matter, darling?" He asked.

"I need to sits, I'm a getting' dizzy." She replied.

Was it really her that said that? It sounded like her voice, but not how she normally talked at all. The realization hit her that she was probably drunk, at the very least, she was tipsy. That wasn't good. It wasn't what she had set out to do. However, she had achieved her goal of loosening up. Not that it mattered, because she was with a guy instead of a girl anyway.

"Just keep dancing, the room will stop spinning eventually." He said, grabbing her to move again.

"May I cut in?" Rachel appeared next to Quinn, but was looking a the guy with a death stare.

"Rach, hi!" Quinn smiled and shoved off the guy and landed in Rachel's arms. "I'm...a bit drunk."

"I see that."

Quinn groaned, the pounding in her head increasing. "Rach, my head hurts."

"Okay, I think you've had enough fun for tonight. I'm going to take you home."

"'Kay."

The guy looked angry that she'd swooped in and stole the hottest girl in the bar from him, but he wouldn't dare try anything with Rachel, she could beat his as in a second. Leaning most of her weight on Rachel, they made it out of the bar, but when Quinn tripped and almost fell, Rachel stopped them to remove Quinn's heels before continuing back to the dorms. The walk was mostly silent, with the occasional groan or moan from Quinn.

"You were there less than an hour and managed to get drunk and be taken home. That has to be a record." Rachel joked as they entered Quinn and Tina's room.

"Blame Satan. She forced me to come."

"Oh, I will. I usually blame things on her anyway."

Rachel helped Quinn sit on the bed, then grabbed a water bottle out of the mini fridge, and some Advil from the bathroom, and sat next to the girl. Once the pills were swallowed, Quinn collapsed on the bed, loving the feeling of the cool sheets against her skin. But also loved the view of the beautiful girl above her. Licking her lips, she took a hold of the brunette's tie and tugged on it, bringing her down and kissing her on her warm lips. It was even better than the first time, though that might be the alcohol talking.

"Quinn...stop." Rachel said as she pulled away.

The blonde sighed. "I thought this is what you wanted. I'm giving it to you-"

"I don't want it like this. You're drunk. And you should get some sleep.

Quinn felt rejected, but that feeling wasn't as strong as the need to have Rachel next to her.

"Will you stay with me?" She asked. "Please?"

"Quinn..."

"No funny business, I promise."

After a few seconds of deliberation, Rachel's want to be with Quinn outweighed anything else, so she climbed over the blonde and settle next to her. Quinn immediately snuggled into her side, loving the warm feeling of Rachel beneath her. She wished they could just stay there forever, not wanting Rachel leave her, because she would, sooner or later.

"Why are you like this?" Quinn asked after a few moments of silence, as she played with the brunette's tie.

"Like what?"

"Rach, you are very sweet when you let yourself be, so why sleep around when you could easily have a girlfriend?"

Rachel shook her head. "I don't know."

"I think you do."

"Look, it's not as easy as you think. Lesbians don't want dick, that's why they date girls and not guys. To them, I'm a guy. And I sleep with the straight girls because they think it's safer, more comfortable than with a guy."

"So that's why you act like a guy yourself? Going from girl to girl, acting like you don't care?"

Rachel closed her eyes and let a single tear escape and run down the side of her face. "No one wanted the real me, so I decided to be someone else. This may not be who am I, but it's who I have to be."

"You don't have to be anyone you don't want to be. If people don't like you for who you are, then fuck them...and not literally."

"You don't understand, Quinn. I'm a freak of nature. I'm always going to be. Who wants to date a freak? No one." Rachel squeaked out that last part, but did her best to not break down in front of Quinn. "God, the only thing I ever wanted was just for someone to love me. Sleeping around is the closest I've gotten to someone wanting me, even if it's just for a quick fuck."

"I don't think you're a freak." Quinn replied softly. "And if you started being yourself again, I think you'd have a much better shot at love than you think."

Rachel scoffed. "Oh, yeah? With who?"

"Me. I do understand, wanting someone...anyone to love you. And I happen to like you when you're actually being yourself. So if you're even remotely interested, let me know."

Rachel was speechless for a few minutes, definitely not expecting any of this tonight. "I'm more than interested." She said, turning her head to look Quinn in the eye.

"Then no more sleeping around. And no more putting yourself down."

If that was all it would take for Quinn to give her a fair shot, it was the easiest agreement she'd ever make. "Okay."

Once Rachel had fallen asleep, Quinn, who was almost entirely sober now, grabbed her phone off of the bedside table and texted her best friend.
