Happy holidays and New Year! I hope you guys are safe and happy!

Oh, and incase you want to know, Setosorcerer's removal from Team Crafted will not affect "Learning from the Past." The last chapters will go on as if it had never happened.

Anyways, ready for some action? I hope you like this chapter. This was hard to write, so some parts felt a bit weird for me. Well, that's why constructive criticism is appreciated!

Mitch fumbled his sunglasses on as he sprinted out of the civilization. His chest began to heave sloppily as he headed towards the terrifying sounds of death and fear. Despite how loud and terrifying they were, the sounds were not even close to the desert biome. BajanCanadian would have to really run far to find the source. He did not knew why he was heading towards it. But like when his younger self fell off the cliff, instinct was triggered by fear. He needed to see what was up.

He sprinted out of the desert biome and into a forest biome. It was the same biome that nested the ravine where the portal to the old world was. As Mitch dashed passed the tall trees, the shouts and sounds grew even louder. It rang through his ears, but he did not cover them and just ran even faster. Never before had he heard such a louder storm of noises. Before all of this, BajanCanadian had believed the loudest sound was the Wither's humming. The combo of death and extreme terror proved him wrong.

Mitch skidded to a halt the moment he caught sight of a cliff in front of him. It was the ravine where the portal was hidden. He stopped just in time, his feet extremely close to the edge. His head and upper body were slightly pushed foreward by the stop, making him see down the ravine. BajanCanadian gasped at what he saw.

The bottom of the ravine looked tiny, compared to what he saw when he first stepped out of the portal's cave. However, the perspective was not the thing differing the size.

The ravine was packed. Inside, on more cliffs and holds and on the bottom, were people. They were clashing at each other. A few explosions formed in the battle below. Death. Those sounds were not as loud as the commotion the people made. The voices were angry, fearful, and insane.

This was where the sounds came from. It was a real battle.

Mitch took a step back from the edge, surprised by the size and intensity of the battle. There was no single block that was free from the weight of battle. Mitch was surprised that the people below were able to fight in such a tight, crowded space. The tips of swords and axes were swung in the commotion like floating jetsam in a wild ocean. BajanCanadian could not make out individuals, as they seemed to blur together at a distance. However, the sounds rising from the trench definately had boundaries.

"Corrupted! They're attacking." Voices of fear yelped.

"Get them!" Anger and insanity retorted with its host voices.

Then wordless sounds filled in the blanks with violence and death.

"What the hell?" Mitch questioned as he stared at the fight. "What's going on?!" He was not paralyzed in awe this time because it did not involve him and the time alter. His mind was open to spawn questions. How did this happen? What was going on? Where did all of these guys come from?

"We have to kill the corrupted!" A voice escaped from the chaos below. BajanCanadian perked up at that voice. Corrupted...corrupted! Mitch recalled the old world where he first arrived to the past. It was poisoned by the corrupted miners. They were feared and the new world did their best to prevent the corruption from entering their world. But the new world had failed. The corrupted had invaded the new world.

But why? How? With the realization of the invasion, the commotion in the ravine seemed to transform to Mitch. He now saw rough, unnatural blurs of a few warriors. The hostile expressions on their faces seemed to be made nastier by the 8-bit movement. Those slow moving, angry fighters had to be the corrupted.

Mitch then identified another group among the fighting. Those who were not corrupted looked swift and smooth, like a player. They also wore light brown, while corrupted wore a mess of diverse, dull clothes. He noticed that the swifter players were wearing suits. They were uniforms. Like the guide who showed Mitch the new world. They worked for Notch and would do anything to stop the corruption from leaking into the new world. But they were outnumbered. Whatever reason the corrupted had to attack and how they did it was unknown. However, they got what they wanted - a fight.

Then a metal coolness rested on the back of Mitch's neck, sending icy fear exploding inside of him. He slowly turned his head around and saw a person holding a sword very close to his neck, growling like a rabid wolf. The guy then brought back his sword, and swung it back, aiming at Mitch's neck.

Mitch gasped and swiftly ducked. The sword was so close, it could had cut off the front of his hair if Mitch was too slow. Hunger Games instinct had kicked in. Mitch pulled out his diamond sword, the one he had carried ever since arriving to the past. He turned his body around and blocked another swing from his opponent. They continued clashing and blocking with their swords. BajanCanadian noticed immediately that his opponent was a corrupted. His slow, blurry movement, dulls clothes, and merciless eyes gave it away. The eyes especially made the stranger's insanity obvious. They were like glowing. The brown irises and the white area - invaded by red vein - were a standout.

The opponent again forced his blade onto Mitch's. He pressed it harder against Mitch's diamond sword. The strength caused Mitch to lean back. No matter how hard Mitch pushed back, he could not shove the corrupted fighter away. If this kept going on with the corrupted's favor, BajanCanadian could be pushed down the ravine.

As Mitch struggled, his brown eyes trailed away from the corrupted's crazy face to his oppenent's chest plate. He realized how worn out the iron armor was by its scratches and dull color. A diamond sword could penetrate through the weak armor.

His Hunger Games instinct refreshed and brought strategy with it. Mitch looked down at the corrupted's feet, planted stubbornly on the ground. BajanCanadian lifted up his right foot and, as hard as he could, stomped on his opponent's foot. The crazed miner drew back, muffling a yelp. Mitch, now free from the other sword's force, then leaned forward and stabbed his sword into the miner's chest. His sword broke through the metal armor as unforced as a pencil poking through paper.

The opponent's yelp exploded to a holler. Mitch pulled his sword out of the corrupted, only to use it to hit his stunned enemy again. He was being rather ruthless, but he was exhausted from the fighting. His opponent had been aggresive and strong. Best to end it now.

Mitch ended the fight with an uppercut. The corrupted collapsed to the ground, eyes already closed and wound all over his face. Instinctively again, Mitch ran out of the way, further from the beaten corrupted. A tiny explosion usually comes with a flash of red when a person died and faded away with smoke. BajanCanadian was never comfortable with being close to death, especially the death of a crazy guy.

However, the defeated opponent did not show death's effects. He did glow red, but in a different way. The redness gradually glowed through his skin like a redstone lamp. It glowed brighter and brighter. The brightness, now stronger than the regular red death flash, could had hurt Mitch's eyes if it were not for his powerful sunglasses. However, the strange death effect did make his eyes widen in awe.

When the dead man glowed the brightest, the red began to dim, as slowly and smoothly as they had brightened. Then the red glow faded away, not longer seen. So was the corrupted. He vanished. Only his sword and armor laid on the ground.

"What the..." Mitch wondered. For a violent death in an intense situation, the corrupted's "decay" was rather calm. It was as if the spirit of death wanted the corrupted to despawn sentimentally. As if that death was unique enough to deserve a different effect.

Mitch's awed eyes widen even more with realization. He knew why the corrupted despawned like that. It was his last life. All of the old miners had their respawning abilities removed in order to kill off the corruption. If death had changed for the old miners, then despawning must had changed too.

BajanCanadian tore his eyes from the dead man's sword and back to the ravine, where fighting still continued between the corrupted and Notch's men.

"So that's why they're fighing..." Mitch whispered to himself. He recalled how sensitive the new world and old miners were. The old miners were promised a new world and respawning. Everyone else, good or bad, were furious about their future taken away from them. If Notch's secret alliance with some old miners was revealed, the corrupted would do anything to get respawning back. Somehow, they found out the secrets and were now craving revenge.

Mitch now knew the why. The only question now was how did they got into the new world? There was a portal in the ravine, but the one in the old world was hidden in a mountain.

In the heart of the fight, the corrupted were winning. They killed off Notch's servants, who were struggling to even stay on their feet. They died with a normal death effect, but that did not mean they would get more of their numbers. Besides Mitch, no one else came to see the violent commotion. The corrupted, however, were coming from the hidden portal. More and more of the slow, unnatural moving people appeared. In a matter of time, the last of Notch's servants were gone.

"Come on, let's go!" A female corrupted miner declared. The mess of dull and dirty miners began to climb out of the ravine.

Mitch gasped and hid behind a tree. Even though he won, his dead opponent had really put up a fight. BajanCanadian was too tired to fight another one, let alone several. He sensed the corrupted storming out of the ravine and onto the grassy ground.

"This way." A voice roused from the evil Minecraftians. Mitch peeked out from the tree and saw the corrupted pawing away from the ravine. And to the desert where the young players resided.

Color drained from Mitch's face. If the corrupted miners were heading to the younger players, it was going to be a doubled Hunger Games massacre.

"Oh no..." Were the only words that trailed out of Mitch.

Once the last of the corrupted walked out of Mitch's sight, BajanCanadian began to silently sprint after them. He could not predict how the ones in the civilization would defend themselves. However, there was one concern Mitch had in mind as he ran back: his younger self. The corrupted invasion definitely had the possibility of isolating younger Mitch from his friends. That was the last thing Mitch wants to see happen. He had to go back for his younger self. For his unaltered present.

He silently stalked the corrupted miners back to the civilization. As they progressed, Mitch realized that it was dark. Night had arrived. He looked up to the sky for a moment. The moon was not at its midnight position yet, so night had come not so long ago. Even so, Mitch thought that the most of the younger players would not be outside. They could be indoors sleeping. But that did not guarantee that they would not notice the corrupted once they arrive.

Mitch hid behind another tree. He and the corrupted were now at the border of the forest and the desert, and the tree was the closest to the border. There were no more trees to hid behind at that point, and Mitch did not want to risk getting the corrupted's attention. Looked like the corrupted would strike first before Mitch could react.

The move towards the civilization was quiet. But once they finally arrived at the inhabited area, screaming and hollers began again with another battle.

Mitch peeked out from the tree and saw that the corrupted miners were now scattered across the area. Among them were a handful of players and Notch's servants, who were terrified and losing. Like the fight in the ravine, it was a struggle for the non-corrupted. To BajanCanadian, the violence seemed more horrid exposed in the open and that the fact that attacked players were young. For someone that had been through countless Hunger Games, this fight was impressively terrifying.

Mitch tightened his grasp on his diamond sword and took a deep breath. Despite the intense-looking battle, he had to go in. He had to find his younger self.

I've done the Hunger Games, Mitch encouraged himself. I can do this. I'm too stronkg.

Mitch sprinted into the fight. He swiftly dodged swords and people. Luckily, no one noticed nor bothered Mitch. However, that did not make Mitch's objective simpler to perform. Behind his sunglasses, his brown eyes scanned the battle madly. There were a handful of young players among Notch's men. Some of them seemed more terrified at the corrupted than Notch's servants. Those players seemed to be trying to escape the madness. Meanwhile, Notch's servants and braver players were actually defending themselves with weapons and combat.

But there was no sign of young Mitch or any of his friends.

"Mitch!" BajanCanadian began to call out for his younger self. After a moment, he sensed someone. His Hunger Games instincts made him turn around and lift his sword up, blocking a blow from another sword. A female corrupted had attempted to attack him. She and Mitch began to fight, clashing swords and exchanging punches. His PVP instincts made BajanCanadian immune to panic when it came too fighting, though it did had flaws every now and then. As he fought the evil girl, he felt stressed. Worry was consuming him because of the dangerous invasion and that the fight was a huge obstacle. If the corrupted continued to pick a fight on Mitch, how would he ever find his younger self?

His opponent was getting weaker and weaker. That was a good sign. However, Mitch himself was being worn out. All of the pain in his quest was bombarding him at once. The cuts and bruises gained and energy wasted from fighting the corrupted. The growing wariness, now incredibly strong and heavy, caused by Mitch's restriction to sleep. Mitch had never felt so overworked before. His arms grew heavier every time he swung his sword. His eyes threatened to close to get some sleep. Every new cut was more painful, yet harmless at the same time; his tiredness was making Mitch slowly unconscious about pain. He was surprised he was able to stay on his feet, and weaken his opponent.

The luck that kept him going finally seemed to drain out. Just when Mitch was about to strike again, his opponent landed a punch on his face. BajanCanadian was forced to the ground, pain exploding on his face and into his brain. When Mitch recovered, his eyes, still masked from the shades, saw the corrupted girl aiming her sword at Mitch's neck. Mitch's eyes widened. He had half a heart left. If the girl attacked him one more time, Mitch would be killed. And who knew what would happen if he respawned, considering he would die in a time period that was not his.

The girl gave a frustrated and angry growl. She lifted her sword up. But before she could do anything else, an arrow, coming out of nowhere, pierced into her chest. She gave a gasp, her clearly crazed eyes rolled back, and the corrupted collapsed.

BajanCanadian was shocked by the sudden arrow. However, he recovered and pushed himself into a sitting position. He got up in time to see his fallen opponent glow red and fade away, just like the other corrupted he had killed.

Mitch quickly pulled out a cooked pork from his inventory. He needed to replenish his hunger if he wanted to regenerate his hearts back. His hearts were being threatened. He was about to take a bite, but he felt someone tugging on his black hoodie. Mitch was pulled away and brought to the back of a building. He was going to say something but became speechless when he saw who pulled him out of the fight.

Lucky, who seemed confused and shocked last time Mitch saw him, gave BajanCanadian a suspicious and concerned look.

"They got in." Lucky began. Mitch knew he was referring to the corrupted. "What did you do?"

"No-nothing." Mitch replied, hands up with innocence. Lucky had just recently became suspicious enough to accuse Mitch as a corrupted. But after seeing red dots in Mitch's eye, that suspicion vaporized. Seemed that it had returned, thanks to the invasion.

"Did you show them the portal?" Lucky demanded.

"Of course not!" Mitch replied. It seemed that Lucky thought that Mitch helped the corrupted into the new world. That thought was probably influenced by the false assumption of Mitch being one of the corrupted. It looked like those sprinkles of doom in his eye were forgotten. The red had nothing to do with the corrupted invasion.

"Then how did they get in?" Lucky looked around the battle. Mitch noticed Lucky's hand. Rather than a sword or a bow, he held a worn-out piece of flint and steel. Who would use that as a weapon in a fight like this?

"I have no idea how this happened." Mitch said. "But I swear, it wasn't me."

"Ahh! Jason, I'm startled! Help me!"

Mitch looked up by the sound of Sky's voice, panic erupted. Sky might not be young Mitch, but that did not mean he was not vital in Mitch's life. Just because Sky could not officially did not mean nothing could alter his life ahead. Adam needed to be protected from the time alter as well anyways.

Mitch dashed back into the storm of the battle, towards the sound of Sky's cries. He found the future Butter God struggling to fight a corrupted. Adam was still not at his full size yet, but he was getting there. Even so, the corrupted miner seemed to be a giant, even though he was two blocks height: an average player size. In general, Sky was in trouble. He had only a dying iron sword while his opponent had full iron armor and a diamond sword.

"Ahh! Jason, where are you! Save me!" Sky continued as he did his best to block swings from the corrupted. Mitch tried to reach Sky, only to be stopped by another corrupted Minecraftian. Mitch bit back a growl as he pulled out his sword and fought his new opponent. He knew he should keep his eyes on his opponent. However, every now and then, he gave a glance towards Sky. He had to make sure he was safe. Despite how exhausted he was, BajanCanadian would take on two opponents if that meant protecting Sky.

Sky's opponent gave another swing with his sword. Adam lifted up his iron sword for defense again. However, when the swords met, Adam's sword broke into pieces. It lost all of its durability. Sky gasped and looked at his now empty hands. His opponent smirked and lifted up his diamond sword again.

"Adam, no!" Mitch cried out. He gave his opponent a hard shove in the chest. The air was knocked out of his opponent as he fell to the ground. BajanCanadian again dashed towards Adam, who remained paralyzed. Once he got close enough, Mitch grabbed Adam and pulled him away. At the same time, Adam's opponent brought down his sword, but hit nothing. Mitch hissed at the shock he received when he grabbed Adam. It felt more painful the longer he held him. Even so, he did not release Sky.

"Woah! What the?! You're not Jason!" Adam exclaimed, probably to Mitch.

"Let's go!" Mitch ordered. Still pulling Adam, he took the younger player away from the two corrupted miners, who both recovered and were now chasing them.

The four snaked through the battle. Pass people who were too occupied in fighting. Around buildings that were surrounded by violence. There was no empty space to breathe in sight.

"Where are we going?" Mitch heard Sky demand. "Who are you, anyway?"

"I don't know!" Mitch replied, not looking at the younger player. "Just away from those guys!"

Just when he finished speaking, someone jumped in front of him and Adam. It was the corrupted miner Mitch had fought before running to save Adam. The corrupted also looked very furious and ready to charge. Mitch and Adam both screamed and skidded to a halt. BajanCanadian quickly looked around and saw that Adam's opponent was behind them.

BajanCanadian lifted up his sword, but knew he couldn't take on both of the corrupted in this position. Maybe he could attack one and make another break for safety with Sky.

Mitch watched as the two corrupted started to charge at him and Sky. Mitch, ready to execute his strategy, pointed his sword towards Sky's corrupted opponent. However, before Sky's opponent got close enough, an arrow went into the corrupted's calf. He collapsed with a groan.

Mitch could not help but be surprised as he watched the corrupted fall. Coming to think of it, an arrow that came out of nowhere killed Mitch's last corrupted opponent. Was someone helping him by Katnissing the corrupted from a distance? If so, who?

He was brought out of his surprise by Adam, who tugged him away to run even more. As they ran, Mitch looked back and saw the other corrupted. He too had been shot by an arrow, which was in his shoulder. Unlike the corrupted who had attacked Sky, he continued his pursuit after Mitch and Sky.

BajanCanadian tore his eyes away from the corrupted and into the crowded area. He and Sky continued to run through the battle with the angry warrior at their heels. He had brushed the thoughts of the mysterious arrows aside. He needed to get Sky to safety.

Suddenly, Mitch's pace abruptly slowed down. He swallowed down an angry growl, realizing what had happened. His already unsatisfied hunger had become almost empty. Not only would he not be able to regenerate his handful of hearts, but the corrupted could now easily catch up.

Soon, Mitch fell onto his knees, and he did not have the strength to get up. What was left of his energy had vanished. Besides the facts that his diamond armor was still strong and that he did have a decent amount of hearts left, he was vulnerable.

He looked up to see that Sky too had stopped running. The Butter God was looking back with concern. Mitch gestured him to keep running and leave him, but Sky seemed to ignore him. Sky then looked up to the approaching corrupted. He then looked frequently around until he spotted a golden sword lying alone on the ground. BajanCanadian watched as Sky picked up the sword, raced up to the corrupted with a battle cry, and fought with him. Mitch found it cute that young Sky was fighting for him, a stranger.

Mitch took advantage of the time Sky had bought for him. He quickly pulled out a few steaks and wolfed them down. Anxiously waiting for his hearts to fully regenerate, he watched Sky continue to fight. He saw that Sky was losing again and even panicking. His battle cry and courage had melted away. Sky gave out a yelp when the corrupted sliced the butter sword in half and shoved him onto the ground. The corrupted pointed his sword to Sky's neck and Adam gave out another cry, but he did nothing to escape.

Mitch jumped into action before he fully regenerated his health. He pulled out his sword and aimed at the corrupted, who did not notice his approach. However, before Mitch made his move, a hairy figure jumped onto the corrupted. Mitch paused, first surprised, but then chuckled. He watched young Jerome cling onto the corrupted and threatened the miner with a stone axe. The corrupted tried to throw the bacca off. Mitch then dashed in to aid Jerome by stabbing the corrupted in the chest. Jerome jumped off the falling corrupted and landed on his feet.

"Hey, dood," Jerome chirped to Mitch. "Phew, your folks are sure crazy, BC."

"Jerome, have a safe haven. Seen Mitch?" BajanCanadian desperately asked the bacca. Though he healed his hearts and hunger, he was still tired and could not fight all of the time.

"Yeah, follow me!" Jerome turned around and sprinted away. Mitch helped Sky up and they both followed. The three approached a small stone house. BajanCanadian saw his younger self sniping through an open window. Seto and Ian were also seen inside the shelter. There were no nearby corrupted miners. The house was at the border of the civilization and the battle took place in the area's heart, so that made sense.

At the sight of Jerome, Ian opened the iron door and gestured the three inside. "I rescued someone!" The bacca announced, arms up in the air with victory.

"That's good, buddy." Mitch heard his younger self say. He turned around to see young Benja and saw that his younger self was looking back.

"Oh, hey, BC." Younger Mitch greeted. The older Mitch waved a greeting back. Younger Mitch then looked away from him.

"Who's that?" Younger Mitch pointed to Sky, who looked around the building. Even though he wore sunglasses, he seemed uncertain and...traumatized.

"That's Adam, or Sky." Older Mitch replied. Adam jumped out of his uncertain expression and into surprise, looking at Mitch.

"How do you know my name?" He questioned.

"I heard about you." Mitch chose the first excuse that popped out of his mind.

"Oh, alright." Sky looked away, probably to examine more of the haven. His expression also returned to its spooked one.

"Hey, buddy, what's wrong?" Mitch saw Jerome step up to ask Adam a question.

"Oh, nothing. It's just...woah...that...that fight was insane. It felt so dangerous. So real. I actually thought I was really gonna die out there. Die a creepy death." Adam looked down at his butter sword. He still had the lower half with the handle. The upper half was lost when the sword broke. Sky let out a sad sigh. "Man...this sword was so damn weak. If it weren't for BC, that corrupted guy could have killed me. And if that happened, I would never get that memory out of my head." Shuddering, Adam grabbed his hair and head, as if afraid of some spirit going into his brain.

"That would scare the living daylights out of me everyday until the day I despawn." Sky added. He looked back at his now useless sword. He muttered something; Mitch did not knew what words, but it had a tone of disgust. Adam tossed the chicken nugget butter weapon away. It skidded across the floor until hitting the stone wall.

"I hate weak swords." Adam concluded. "Never gonna use them again..."

Ever since coming to the haven, all fear, stress, and anything but relief had vaporized out of Mitch. But now, his heart - his real one, not the twenty health ones - sank. Sky had just casted out butter. He did not trust it. He blamed gold for almost causing his "horrid death." Mitch realized something else, making his heart fall even more. He remembered Sky's personality in the alternate present. He did not like butter. He called it by its real name. In the altered present, there was no butter or a god to emphasize it. And Mitch had just witnessed Sky's first rejection to gold. He pledged that he would preserve his unaltered friends as well as himself. He could not believe it. He had already failed saving Sky, his true self, and butter.

Then worry rose as his heart sank more. Sky's future had been change. It was one element of the altered present. That meant one thing.

The time alter. The time alter Mitch wanted to defend his young friends from. The alter that changed his life. It had begun to rearrange time, starting with Adam.

So the corrupted invasion is part of the time alter. It has too. BajanCanadian mused. Well, he was glad that he had decided to protect his younger self from the time alter, not stop the alter itself. Despite all of his Hunger Games experience, Mitch would never face a battle with the corrupted. Now that he was in a haven with his younger self and his friends, he could protect them until the battle died out. Then he had to make sure Jerome and Mitch officially become best friends. Added onto the list, he would also try to convince Adam to give butter a second chance. After that, the time alter would be stopped.

"Here, take this." Mitch returned his attention to Adam and Ian. SSundee was handing Sky a diamond sword. When Sky accepted it, Ian pulled out an iron sword.

"You gave me the stronger weapon?" Sky queried.

"Eh, I don't mind. Don't really fight anyways." Ian replied calmly. Mitch realized how shy and passive SSundee sounded.

"He's been really sensitive all night." Jerome jumped into the conversation. "Usually, he's as insane as the guys out there. But then he got some headache and he became soft."

Mitch raised an eyebrow in thought. SSundee did seemed off. He had seemed to experience a strange migraine and had red dots in his eye. Could that be connected with his quiet behavior?

"You said it, biggums." He heard his younger self respond to the bacca. "Boy, you should had seen when the corrupted invaded this place." He was now talking to Adam and the older Mitch.

"Hey!" Ian snapped. "Can you not start saying that I'm a chicken? I think I'm not. I mean, look at Seto. He freaked out more and still is."

BajanCanadian then turned and spotted the sorcerer. SSundee was right. Seto was looking out of a window showing the fight. The sorcerer's eyes were wide in shock and fear. He was also breathing heavily witch panic, as if he was in the center of the fight instead of in the outskirts of it. He was holding a sword, but he clenched it very tightly with one hand. He did not turn his attention to the other people in the room.

What was wrong with Seto? What could make a calm guy like him to become so sensitive? Coming to think of it, Seto had been secretive and sensitive ever since Mitch came to the past. He had been reading about something and claimed to be working on a project, but never gave out specific details. That behavior was questionable, but not as strong as the now freaked out Seto.

Suddenly, a blast was heard. Mitch and the five young players all jumped and turned to the source of the sound. There was a corrupted outside, near the house, and she knew they were inside. Instead of a weapon, the corrupted female held TNT and a redstone torch. And she was not seen through a window. Where she stood, there was no more wall. She had blew up the wall to get in.

The corrupted charged into the house as Mitch and the others got their swords and axe. The players held there ground, not moving. However, Mitch felt more panic spark when the corrupted set a TNT block down on the floor. She then placed the redstone torch next to it. The TNT blinked its warning and the corrupted miner took cover. Mitch and the players turned on their heels and tried to run away from the block.

Then Mitch heard the TNT explode. The force pushed Mitch forward, making him lose his footing as he ran. He tumbled onto the ground. He pushed himself off the floor and saw that Seto had fell to the right of him. Mitch saw that the others - young Benja, Sky, Jerome, and even Ian - were unharmed started to attack the corrupted.

Mitch returned his hidden gaze back to Seto. The sorcerer recovered and got onto a sitting position. He put a hand into his robes, as if wanting to pull something out of his inventory. After a pause and an eyebrow raised, Seto then used both of his hands search for something. Desperation and worry was growing in his eyes.

"Oh no..." BajanCanadian heard the sorcerer murmur. Mitch could not help but be concerned. What was Seto looking for?

"Yeah, we did it!" Mitch turned around and saw that the other players had successfully killed the corrupted. Then he heard heavy footsteps. He looked at the hole in the wall and saw several more corrupted approaching.

Mitch readied himself, holding his sword up and went into a battle position. He saw that the young players were determined to defend themselves. He was glad he had more people to fight alongside with. There were only a handful corrupted enemies approaching. Mitch and players could take them. BajanCanadian took a quick glance to the sky and the background. His heart - still wounded from Sky's change - fluttered a bit. The moon was setting. The next day was coming soon. He also saw that the main part of the battle was shrinking. There were more swift, fresh movement among it. Notch's servants and the players were winning! The corrupted were dying! Soon, the nightmare would be over and the time alter would almost be stopped.

BajanCanadian, his younger self, Sky, Jerome, SSundee, and now Seto began to fight with the corrupted, who arrived at their haven. Mitch and his friends made excellent process. After some time, he knocked out a corrupted with a roundhouse kick.

"Yeah, take that!" He taunted at the motionless corrupted who was now turning red for death. The tension the violence had lessened. The attitude had became that of Hunger Games that Mitch could enjoy.

"Good job, Mitch."

BajanCanadian perked up and looked around, surprise replacing fun and courage. Then he realized it was the voice from the mysterious temple.

"It's almost time." Time for what? Even though there was no physical threat, Mitch took a cautious step back. His heart slightly left when he felt something under his foot. Mitch looked down and saw that he had stepped onto a potion bottle. He lifted his foot off of it. He saw that the bottle was not shattered and was even filled with some kind of liquid. The liquid was pastel orange with red dots that floated around like ice cubes.

Curious, Mitch crouched down and picked it up. The moment he touched it, he felt energy run through his blood. He shuddered, and realized that the feeling was familiar. It was like the time pearl. When he had touched it, he and the pearl connected, giving that feeling. Did the potion somehow connect to him too? Where did it came from anyway?

...What did it do? Mitch began to shake the bottle as he observed it. It did not look like fire resistance nor healing. The feeling he had experienced also gave the hint that its effects were not ordinary.

...Should he drink it? He could not help but be curious. But he knew not all potions did not things to a player. Poison, slowness, weakness. Based off its energy, its effects could be twice as worse as the three negative effects combined.

He heard a crash. Mitch looked up from the potion and saw that Adam, Seto and Jerome knocked out a corrupted. They gave out a short cheer before going to young Mitch and Ian, who were challenging a corrupted with full shiny diamond armor. BajanCanadian realized that corrupted was the last one in the ruined haven, but it seemed it would take a while to kill him.

"Almost time." The voice from the temple repeated. Mitch looked back at the potion. Behind his dark sunglasses, his brown eyes danced with uncertainty. He was really tempted to take a sip of the mysterious potion. He felt like...it was brewed for him. He had to admit, the more he held the potion, the more the energy purred back to him. It made the potion feel friendly, not deadly.

Mitch continued to stare at it with uncertainty. The buzzing energy he got from the potion became louder, but more relaxing. Doubt started to melt from Mitch's eyes. He could not explain how, but the potion felt more trustworthy. The energy purred more and more, until it stopped abruptly.

"Now it's time." The voice snickered.

Mitch snapped out of his trance but and doubt filled his brain again. But only his consciousness was re-exposed to the cons. His hand was unscrewing the potion bottle, when he did not want it to. After unscrewing, his hand led the bottle closer to Mitch's mouth. His arms and hands were not listening to his recovered brain, which changed its mind about the potion. What was happening? How come he could not control his arms and hands?

Mitch tried to push the potion back, but his arms continued to bring it forward. He wanted to hiss in frustration, but told himself to keep his mouth closed.

"Now!" The voice now snapped. At that second, Mitch found himself chugging the potion down unwillingly. The liquid tasted like metal. It was the taste one gets from sucking a metal spoon. Disgusting, but Mitch could not stop himself. It was like someone had taken control of his body, and all Mitch could do was watch and take the experience.

When the last of the potion was swallowed, Mitch felt power drain back into his body. He threw the empty bottle away. He heard it shatter when it hit the wall. He gave his arms a test by moving up and down. He had full control over them again. He then looked at his hands and tested their loyalty to his brain. They moved when he wanted them to move.

Mitch looked at his palms, satisfied that he had power over his body again. But then, something glowed out of his palms. His hands were glowing! They were glowing red, like the death effect of the corrupted. The red glow then continued to his arms. His diamond chest plate was also turning red. But instead of staying red, it was slowly vanishing. In fact, all of his armor was being vaporized. BajanCanadian panicked. He could still move his arms, but could not stop the bright color to spread. What was happening?

He looked back at his hands. He saw that his palms were now turning orange. No, it exploded with bright orange. Literally.

Mitch let out a hiss as his hands started to burn. Cracks began to form, leaving a trail of the bright orange. It was like he was a rocky mountain and lava was trying to break out of him from the inside. Pain roughly slithered with his blood, then around his heart and brain.

He screamed and put his hands on his temples. A headache was exploding inside his brain. The migraine was a fire to his mind's vulnerable forest. He did not care about his surroundings. He wanted this to stop.

The red and orange had now filled up his arms and now taking over the rest of his body. He felt the bright colors crawl up and take over his neck. It seemed to double the pain. BajanCanadian gritted his teeth and shut his eyes. The agony just enhanced even more. He pressed his eyelids shut even tighter. But then, his eyes were forced open.

Mitch gave out a final scream. His vision exploded with a flash of white. Then all of his pain vaporized, replaced with...something...

"It's now time, Mitch. People will now remember you..."

"Oh my god! Did you see that?!" Mitch heard Sky gasp. He must be talking about...that effect of the potion.

"Of course I did!" Jerome cried. "It was like a bright flash, an explosion, and then there was BC. And he's still unconscious."

"What happened to him?" Young Mitch questioned.

"I don't know. But I think it's bad." Ian replied.

"...it is. Oh no." Mitch heard Seto whisper. No one replied, so that meant no one else heard the sorcerer. So how could he hear him?

BajanCanadian groaned, trying to open his eyes. But for some reason, he could not. He could just sense himself lying on the ground. He felt that were still on his face somehow.

Then he sensed thunder. Then he heard a cackle filled with evil. Worry leaked from Mitch's heart and he attempted to wake up. But he still could not. It was as it he lost control of his body.

Mitch heard the players gasp and the laughter continue.

"Finally! I was starting to have a feeling that he would go astray from our plan!" The voice of the laughter said. If Mitch's eyes were open, they would had widen in surprise. He recognized that voice. Anyone could recognize that voice.

Mitch sensed something grabbing his left arm. The grasp was tight and threatening, but Mitch could not do anything about it. He only had feel as his sense. And right now, he felt even more frightened.

The young players gave another gasp.

"That's what he looks like?" Jerome gasped. "I thought he had pupils!"

"I used too." The voice replied. "But that doesn't matter. I'm here to retrieve what's mine!"

"What do you want, Herobrine?" Young Mitch questioned nervously and defiantly. "Just don't hurt us, or BC!"

"BC?" Herobrine chuckled. "A pair of sunglasses and a black hoodie really protected his identity? News flash, Mitch: BC is you."

BajanCanadian heard his younger self gasp. He would had done the same if he had control of his body. Herobrine had blown his cover...But why was he so involved in Mitch's situation? He ignored Mitch in the old world, saved young Mitch from falling, and now this. Why?

"But that doesn't matter." Herobrine continued. The grasp on Mitch's arm tightened. Mitch now felt aching pain. It felt like someone was squeezing blood out of his arm.

"...I took away his identity. He's mine now." Herobrine continued. Confusion was now added into Mitch's storm of feelings. What was the ghost talking about?

BajanCanadian sensed Herobrine's face coming closer to his ear.

"...I know your mission, Mitch." Herobrine whispered. "But you've been wrong. I created the time alter...Rise, BC! Help me teach these worthless players true fear!"

Suddenly, Mitch's body became active, but BajanCanadian did not control what he did. He gasped, but not from the compacted surprise and shock he held. Some energy triggered that gasp.

The same energy caused BajanCanadian to jump onto his feet. He opened his eyes. He was in the haven and young Mitch, Jerome, Sky, Seto, and Ian were looking back. Fear was in their eyes, young Mitch's especially.

Mitch sensed someone at the side of it. He could not move his eyes to see who, but he had the feeling it was Herobrine.

"Attack!" Herobrine ordered. Suddenly, BajanCanadian pulled out his diamond sword, pointing it to the young players.

Then Mitch realized what had happened.

Herobrine had possessed him.
