Spying On The Huns' Captain
If you ever seen anything that seem to ridiculous to make you so shock that you couldn't move, then you can never match Ming's shock when she found out her dad is the Captain of the Huns.
Ming was so shocked that she didn't even acknowledge that Mongo pushed her aside and into a tent support.
"You see, Captain," Mongo began as he looked the Gang of Four with an evil eye, "I was just enjoining my day, then these bozos come and ruin it."
"Oh, really?" 'Shang' said, looking over them with arms crossed.
Ming noticing he was wearing an armor entirely different form he's Chinese armor. It was mostly black that went pass his waist, it some dark red designs on the rim. Underneath the armor was a light blue shirt with puffy sleeves with dark armor wristbands. His pants are black and tucked into his white socks with black armor under the knees with his black shoes. Instead of tat scarlet red cape he always wears, it was replace with this misty blue cape.
Ming slightly backed away from him with a hand on her heart. She could feel it beating fast, almost like she was going to have a heart attack.
"You know, Captain," Mongo began, giving the Gang of Four an evil look, "I think we should put them back on Outhouse Duty. After all, they enjoyed it the last time." He gave a smug smile when he saw the terrified look on their faces.
"No, sir! Please!" Po begged as he got down on his knees.
"We can't go back there!" Shin cut in, also going down on his knees.
"Silence!" 'Shang' yelled, making the gang of four flinched.
"Now, listen," He bent down to them, looking very scary in their point of view. But before he could say anything, Ming suddenly appeared in front of him, putting herself between him and the gang.
"Sir, it wasn't them that were the trouble," Ming said as bravely as she could, despite the fact she was still pretty much shaken up. "It was me."
"Oh?" 'Shang' said, bending down so he can look at Ming in the eye. "And what did you do?"
It hurt Ming even more that her own father is looking at her right in the eye and can't see through her disguise, but she knew she had to keep up the act and said, "Sir, I was able to bride these men into brothering Mongo," Ming gesture with her head at Mongo, who was looking at her dumbfounded. "So if anyone here deserves the punishment, then it should be me." She bowed her head, waiting for her sentence.
Everyone that was present were either shocked, irritated, or suspicious. The four Huns that Ming just befriend were shock because they can't believe that Ming took the blame of something she didn't do for them. Mongo was irritated because the girl who was surprising able to throw him into tent took the blame for something she didn't do that actually didn't happen, and the Huns rules around her is that the girls don't get harsh punishments. 'Shang', however, was the one who was suspicious. This girl knew she was going to get in trouble if she was the one to blame, but she did it anyway. Also, there was something about this girl that didn't make her like the other girl Huns.
"Very well," He said, knowing he can't prove anything else, "Your punishment for tonight is to scrub all the plates the kitchen have used."
"Yes sir..." Ming replied automatically with a slight bow. 'Shang' looked over to four Huns, who suddenly flinched when he looked over to them
"Consider yourselves, lucky." He growled out, before marching away, making everyone(minus Mongo) to sigh in relief.
"That was close..." Po muttered as he sank to the ground, with his three friend nodding with him.
Ming, meanwhile, was still depress that her father was the Huns' new captain. What was going on? Her father had always been honest with her. Why is he the Hun's captain. It doesn't sound like her father at all.
Suddenly, Mongo appeared in front of her, he grabbed her collar, pulling her up so she was face-to-face with him.
"Listen here, girl," He growled, trying to look intimating to her, but she just look up at him with a blank stare. "You may got up easily, but next time I'll make sure-"
Ming was tired at a lot of things right now. She didn't want to be bother by someone like Mongo. So Ming reeled her hand back, forming it into a fist, and punched Mongo in the stomach.
Mongo's face became blank as he look go of Ming. At first, there was no reaction, until he sudden let out a painful howl and gripped his stomach tightly. Did anyone ever mention that getting a punch from Ming is a fate worse than death?
Four Huns and any other that was present stared in shock at how such a puny girl like Ming was able to punch someone as big as Mongo, and he was howling in pain right now.
"This isn't over, kid!" Mongo groaned out as he limped away.
"Wow..." The four of them mutter in amazement, while Ming just turned towards them sheepishly.
"Um...sorry you guys had to see that..."
"Aw, don't worry, Ming!" Shin said, waving it off.
"Yeah, 'bout time someone decides to stand up to Mongo." Po said. "So, we seeing you at the bouquet tomorrow night?"
"Um..." Ming muttered, trying to decide. She knew she came her to rescue her father, but after seeing him right now, she can't decide whenever to go get him or just leave.
"I'll try my best to get there." She ended up giving out the honest answer.
"Bye-bye Ming!" Booboo shouted as he and his friends began to walk away.
"You know, you really made an enemy out of that other Hun, there." Mushu commented as he poke his head out of Ming's hood. Then he suddenly notice Ming's depress face. "Hey, what's wrong?"
"What's wrong?" She asked a bit frustrated, "Well, how about the fact I came all the way to Mongolia to find my father, only to find out he's the new captain for the Huns!"
"SHH! Keep you voice down." Mushu shushed, looking at all the Huns nearby.
"Look Ming, I'm just as confuse as you are, but I may have a solution to all of this." Now Ming was intrigued at what Mushu has to say.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Well, me and Cri-Kee here," Mushu bent down, and picked up a sleepy looking Cri-Kee out, "Are going to go spy on your father. See what's making act all, 'mumbo jumbo'."
"Really?" Ming asked, a it of hope in her voice. She would do anything to find out what's going on with her father's suddenly mood swings.
"You just leave it to us, girl." Mushu saluted, before he and Cri-Kee hopped down and began to make their way over to 'Shang's' tent, but Ming's voice stopped them.
"Hey! You guys are going without me?!"
"Uh, yeah?" Mushu said like it was obviously. "Ming, we're small enough so those Hunny Buns won't see us, you on the other hand..."
"Mushu, I have a right to come with you. That's my father there!" Ming yelled out stubbornly.
Mushu sighed, knowing Ming is stubborn than Mulan and Shang combined. Suddenly a smart, yet cold thought appeared in his mind.
"You know, Ming," Mushu began, a little light heartily, "Your father did say you had to do the dishes tonight."
"Yeah, so?" Ming asked, not catching onto Mushu's plan, while Cri-Kee stares at Mushu in shock at what he's doing.
"How about you go do them right now? Before night time?"
"And why would I do that?"
"Cause I heard there was going to be a full moon out tonight." At that, Ming's eyes widen in fear and suddenly her hands begin to look clammy as they tremble with fear. "Wouldn't want you to be out there when it's out? So you better get going." Mushu smirked when he saw that his plan had work.
"O-Oh, al-alright..." Ming stutter, walking away slowly.
Once she was a good ways away, Cri-Kee turned towards Mushu while taking out a fan and pounded him on the head with it.
"OW! What was that for?!" Mushu yelped, ruing his sore head. Cri-Kee angrily chirped at him.
"Hey, you know I had no choice but to do that! You know the only way to get Ming to back out on things is to use her worst fears against her! Even if it was cruel..."
*Chirp Chirp!*
"What?! It's not my fault that Ming has Selenophobia! You should be blaming those princes for putting that Moon Monster curse on her..."
*Chirp...*
"Alright, alright, I'll apologize to her...after we find out what's going on with Pretty Boy." After saying that, Mushu hurried his way over to one of the large tents. Cri-Kee just stared after him with 'are you kidding me?' Before sighing and went after him.
Mushu and Cri-Kee poked their heads through the tent flaps to see what was going on. 'Shang' was there, angrily pacing around in the tent, with Dei Ren watching him, leaning on one of the tent supports. Near the entrance where two very big Huns with spears in their hands, it was obviously that they were the guards. Mushu looked towards the two commanders, and by the looks of it, they were arguing about something.
"You suspect me to train those barbarians?!" 'Shang' shouted out, but there was something different about his voice. It was deep and, evil...
"For your information, those barbarians are going to be your new recruits." Dei Ren said, not liking the tone in 'Shang's' voice.
"I'd never said I was looking for new recruits!" 'Shang' argued, stopping to look at Dei Ren in the eye, "Why on Earth would I need them?! My stone warriors are just fine!"
"What in the name of Ancestors is he talking about?" Mushu asked, generally confused. It was pretty obvious that this isn't Shang, so who is this?
"We had a deal!" Dei Ren shouted, standing up and marched towards 'Shang.'
"Our deal was, that I will help you take over China if you capture General Li Shang for me."
"And are you living up to your end of the deal, Dunbroh?" Dei Ren, asked skeptically. Before Dunbroh could say anything else, a loud shout beat him to it.
"DUNBROH?!" Mushu screamed, quickly recognizing the name. Cri-Kee quickly clamped Mushu's mouth shut, but it was too late.
"Who's out there!" One guards demanded, as he and the other step outside to see... no one.
The guards took a look around to make sure there really was no one there. Meanwhile, Mushu and Cri-Kee were able to pried themselves on top of the tent, being careful not to slip.
"False alarm, sirs." One of the guards said, closing the flaps making Mushu and Cri-Kee sigh in relief. "Probably one of those recruits messing around."
Suddenly Mushu's eyes widen and he quickly grabbed Cri-Kee when he screamed, "WE GOT TO TELL MING ABOUT THIS!" Began to shake the cricket around, making him dizzy. Soon Mushu quickly hurried off to where Ming is with Cri-Kee in his hand.
